  • The power demand is steadily increasing due to rapidly develop of industrial field. The ratio of prospected increment of power consumption is over 2.2 % per year from 2007 to 2020 year. The superconducting fault current limiters(SFCLs) should be suggested to be one of promising machines to protect power grid. Four basis tests such as resistivity, short-circuit tests, ac losses and recovery time were investigated according to various reached maximum temperature, operating temperature. This paper deals with investigation of the various commercial high temperature superconductor for applying resistive type SFCLs.

  • 본 논문에서는 CPLD 칩을 이용하여 QPSK 복조기를 구현하고, 그 결과를 검토하였다. 복조기는 비트 동기를 포착하는 STR(Symbol Timing Recovery) loop와 반송파 동기를 포착하는 CPR(Carrier Phase Recovery) loop로 구성된다 STR loop는 DD-Gardner 방식을, CPR loop는 빠른 반송파 포착을 위하여 Decision-Directed 동기화 방식을 이용하여 구현한 결과를 제시하였다. Altera사의 Design Compiler를 이용하여 FLEX10K 칩에 합성한 QPSK 복조기의 속도는 약 2 (Mbps)의 전송속도를 가지며, ASIC으로 구현시에는 CPLD 속도의 5-6배 이상의 고속화가 가능하다.

  • The rapid growth of mobile communication technology has provided the expansion of mobile internet services, particularly mobile realtime transaction takes much weight among mobile fields. There is an increasing demand for various mobile applications to process transactions in a mobile computing fields. Thus, During transmission in wireless networks a base station failure inevitably causes data loss of the base station buffer. It is required to compensate the loss for communication. The existing methods for a base station failure are not adequate because they all suffer from too much overhead and resolve only the link failure. In this paper, we study an efficient recovry systems for a mobile DBMS. We propose SLL (Segment Log List) that enables the mobile host to compensate data loss efficiently in the case of base station failure. In SLL, a base station deliveries an output information of data cells to a mobile host. when a base station fails, the mobile host can retransmit just next data cells. We also prove the efficiency of new method.

온도보상된 유전체공진기 필터를 이용한 10Gbit/s 클럭추출회로 (10 Gbit/s Timing recovery circuit using temperature compensated dielectric resonantor filter)

  • A timing recovery circuit of 10 Gbit/s optical receiver is described. The circuit consists of a passive NRZ-to-PRZ circuit, a dielectric resonator filter (DRF) and a narrow band amplifier, which for the first time adopted a temperature compensation technique using the tempareature characteristics of DR. The experimental results showed an output clock phase variation of less than ${\pm}$6 degree over the operating temperature range form 0$^{\circ}C$ to 75$^{\circ}C$ and measured maximum rms jitters of less than 2 phs with the resonance detunings of up to ${\pm}$10 MHz. These experimental results show that the circuit is a suitable for 10 Gbit/s lightwave transmission system.

Room-temperature synthesis of cobalt nanoparticles and their use as catalysts for Methylene Blue and Rhodamine-B dye degradation

  • Air stable nanoparticles were prepared from cobalt sulphate using tetra butyl ammonium bromide as surfactant and sodium borohydride as reductant at room temperature. The cobalt nanocolloids in aqueous medium were found to be efficient catalysts for the degradation of toxic organic dyes. Our present study involves degradation of Methylene Blue and Rhodamine-B using cobalt nanoparticles and easy recovery of the catalyst from the system. The recovered nanoparticles could be recycled several times without loss of catalytic activity. Palladium nanoparticles prepared from palladium chloride and the same surfactant were found to degrade the organic dyes effectively but lose their catalytic activity after recovery. The cause of dye colour discharge by nanocolloids has been assigned based on our experimental findings.

  • 코히어런트 초고속 광전송 링크에서는 성능을 열화시키는 잡음요소를 제거하는 것이 더욱 중요하게 대두되고 있다. 그 중 위상잡음과 주파수 오프셋은 위상문제를 일으키는 잡음으로, 신호 처리를 방해하는데 가장 주요한 요인이다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 신호처리 방법을 이용하여 위상잡음과 주파수 오프셋을 보상하는 방법을 제안하였으며 시뮬레이션을 통해 타당성을 검증하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 기존의 보상 방법들보다 계산 복잡도를 낮추어, 신호 처리속도가 중요한 초고속 코히어런트 광전송 시스템에 있어서 수신기의 신호처리 부담을 완화하였다.

대추나무 미친병에 관한 연구 3 (Withes Broom of Jujube Tree, Zizyphus jujube Mill, Var. inermis Rehd.(Part.3))

  • Over a period of 1962-64, a transmission-experiment of witchess' broom of jujube tree by stem-grafting was conducted. When stem-grafting of sound scions upon diseased roots or diseased scions upon sound roots were carried out, disease transmission of high rate was witnessed; 99% in the former and, in the latter, 62% of the stocks which saw union by callussing and had new shoots. Even when the diseased scions by stem-grafting or the diseased buds by budding upon sound stock died away, the transmission rate was 21% in stem-grafting and 14% in budding which seems to show that, when tissues of diseased plants and stocks are kept contacted over a certain period, the disease transmission occurs. And when the recovered scions taken from once diseased tree were grafted upon diseased roots, the transmission rate was 100 % and therefore it is presumed that the immunity could not be acquired even under the assumption of complete recovery from the disease. In stem-grafting of the diseased scions upon sound roots, 98% of the scions which were stored in the cellar, overwintered and grafted in spring was diseased, whereas the disease rate of the scions which were cut and grafted in spring was only 33%. It was particularly noteworthy that 90% of the scions in the former case and only 3% in the latter case were diseased as of June 18th approximately 2 months after the actual grafting and then the latter advanced to 33% with the passage of time. It appears that the pathogen in branches and shoots of the diseased trees standing outdoors become inactivated or diminished during winter. Through its symptom, pathological change in tissue, and easy transmission of the disease via stem-grafting, it seems certain that the pathogen of the witches broom disease in jujube tree is a virus.

온라인 게임에서 신뢰성 확보를 위한 멀티캐스트 라우터의 활용 (Utilizing Multicasts Routers for Reliability in On-Line Games)

  • Multicast protocols are efficient methods of group communication such as video conference, Internet broadcasting and On-Line Game, but they do not support the various transmission protocol services like a reliability guarantee, FTP, or Telnet that TCPs do. The Purpose or this Paper is to find a method to utilize multicast routers can simultaneously transport multicast packets and TCP packets. For multicast network scalability and error recovery the existing SRM(Scalable Reliable Multicast)method has been used. Three packets per TCP transmission control window site are used for transport and an ACK is used for flow control. A CBR(Constant Bit Rate) and a SRM is used for UDP traffic control. Divided on whether a UDP multicast packet and TCP unicast packet is used simultaneously or only a UDP multicast packet transport is used, the multicast receiver with the longest delay is measured on the number of packets and its data receiving rate. It can be seen that the UDP packet and the TCP's IP packet can be simultaneously used in a server router.

Interactive Multipath Routing Protocol for Improving the Routing Performance in Wireless Sensor Networks

  • Multipath routing technique is recognized as one of the effective approaches to improve the reliability of data forwarding. However, the traditional multipath routing focuses only on how many paths are needed to ensure a desired reliability. For this purpose, the protocols construct additional paths and thus cause significant energy consumption. These problems have motivated the study for the energy-efficient and reliable data forwarding. Thus, this paper proposes an energy-efficient concurrent multipath routing protocol with a small number of paths based on interaction between paths. The interaction between paths helps to reinforce the multipath reliability by making efficient use of resources. The protocol selects several nodes located in the radio overlapped area between a pair of paths as bridge nodes for the path-interaction. In order to operate the bridge node efficiently, when the transmission failure has detected by overhearing at each path, it performs recovery transmission to recover the path failure. Simulation results show that proposed protocol is superior to the existing multipath protocols in terms of energy consumption and delivery reliability.

  • The interrupting capability of circuit breaker to have an effect on stability and reliability of the power system is largely determined by the fault current and prospective TRV (prospective transient recovery voltage). The prospective TRV, which is essentially a system function determined by the elements of the connected circuit, is not constant for a given system location but is affected by a number of variables. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the prospective TRV of KEPCO's 345KV transmission system by using EMTP (Electro-Magnetic Transients Program) and to compare the calculated values with the standard values in KSB 150 (1976)
