Weather is one of the main causes of aircraft accidents, and among the phenomena caused by weather, icing is a phenomenon in which an ice layer is formed when an object exposed to an atmosphere below a freezing temperature collides with supercooled water droplets. If this phenomenon occurs in the rotor blades, it causes defects such as severe vibration in the airframe and eventually leads to loss of control and an accident. Therefore, it is necessary to foresee the icing situation so that it can ascend and descend at an altitude without a freezing point. In this study, vibration data in normal and faulty conditions was acquired, data features were extracted, and vibration was predicted through deep learning-based algorithms such as CNN, LSTM, CNN-LSTM, Transformer, and TCN, and performance was compared to evaluate blade icing. A method for minimizing operating loss is suggested.

This study presents the usability of the high-rate single-frequency Precise Point Positioning (SF-PPP) technique based on 20 Hz Global Positioning Systems (GPS)-only observations in detecting dynamic motions. SF-PPP solutions were obtained from post-mission and real-time GNSS corrections. These include the International GNSS Service (IGS)-Final, IGS real-time (RT), real-time MADOCA (Multi-GNSS Advanced Demonstration tool for Orbit and Clock Analysis), and real-time products from the Australian/New Zealand satellite-based augmentation systems (SBAS, known as SouthPAN). SF-PPP results were compared with LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) sensor and single-frequency relative positioning (SF-RP) solutions. The findings show that the SF-PPP technique successfully detects the harmonic motions, and the real-time products-based PPP solutions were as accurate as the final post-mission products. In the frequency domain, all GNSS-based methods evaluated in this contribution correctly detect the dominant frequency of short-term harmonic oscillations, while the differences in the amplitude values corresponding to the peak frequency do not exceed 1.1 mm. However, evaluations in the time domain show that SF-PPP needs high-pass filtering to detect accurate displacement since SF-PPP solutions include trends and low-frequency fluctuations, mainly due to atmospheric effects. Findings obtained in the time domain indicate that final, real-time, and MADOCA-based PPP results capture short-term dynamic behaviors with an accuracy ranging from 3.4 mm to 8.5 mm, and SBAS-based PPP solutions have several times higher RMSE values compared to other methods. However, after high-pass filtering, the accuracies obtained from PPP methods decreased to a few mm. The outcomes demonstrate the potential of the high-rate SF-PPP method to reliably monitor structural and earthquake-induced ground motions and vibration frequencies of structures.

Automated text summarization (ATS) systems rely on language resources as datasets. However, creating these datasets is a complex and labor-intensive task requiring linguists to extensively annotate the data. Consequently, certain public datasets for ATS, particularly in languages such as Thai, are not as readily available as those for the more popular languages. The primary objective of the ATS approach is to condense large volumes of text into shorter summaries, thereby reducing the time required to extract information from extensive textual data. Owing to the challenges involved in preparing language resources, publicly accessible datasets for Thai ATS are relatively scarce compared to those for widely used languages. The goal is to produce concise summaries and accelerate the information extraction process using vast amounts of textual input. This study introduced ThEconSum, an ATS architecture specifically designed for Thai language, using economy-related data. An evaluation of this research revealed the significant remaining tasks and limitations of the Thai language.

The advent of transformer architectures in deep learning has been a major breakthrough in natural language processing research. Object name recognition is a branch of natural language processing and is an important research area for tasks such as information retrieval. It is also important in the biomedical field, but the lack of Korean biomedical corpora for training has limited the development of Korean clinical research using AI. In this study, we built a new biomedical corpus for Korean biomedical entity name recognition and selected language models pre-trained on a large Korean corpus for transfer learning. We compared the name recognition performance of the selected language models by F1-score and the recognition rate by tag, and analyzed the errors. In terms of recognition performance, KlueRoBERTa showed relatively good performance. The error analysis of the tagging process shows that the recognition performance of Disease is excellent, but Body and Treatment are relatively low. This is due to over-segmentation and under-segmentation that fails to properly categorize entity names based on context, and it will be necessary to build a more precise morphological analyzer and a rich lexicon to compensate for the incorrect tagging.

In this paper, we analyzed the performance of normalization according to various neural network models and input-output structures. For the analysis, a simulation-based dataset for noise environments with homogeneous and up to three interfering signals was used. As a result, the end-to-end structure that directly outputs noise variance showed superior performance when using a 1-D convolutional neural network and BiLSTM model, and was analyzed to be particularly robust against interference signals. This is because the 1-D convolutional neural network and bidirectional long short-term memory models have stronger inductive bias than the multilayer perceptron and transformer models. The analysis of this paper are expected to be used as a useful reference for future research on deep learning-based normalization.

The increasing frequency of wildfires due to climate change is causing extreme loss of life and property. They cause loss of vegetation and affect ecosystem changes depending on their intensity and occurrence. Ecosystem changes, in turn, affect wildfire occurrence, causing secondary damage. Thus, accurate estimation of the areas affected by wildfires is fundamental. Satellite remote sensing is used for forest fire detection because it can rapidly acquire topographic and meteorological information about the affected area after forest fires. In addition, deep learning algorithms such as convolutional neural networks (CNN) and transformer models show high performance for more accurate monitoring of fire-burnt regions. To date, the application of deep learning models has been limited, and there is a scarcity of reports providing quantitative performance evaluations for practical field utilization. Hence, this study emphasizes a comparative analysis, exploring performance enhancements achieved through both model selection and data design. This study examined deep learning models for detecting wildfire-damaged areas using Landsat 8 satellite images in California. Also, we conducted a comprehensive comparison and analysis of the detection performance of multiple models, such as U-Net and High-Resolution Network-Object Contextual Representation (HRNet-OCR). Wildfire-related spectral indices such as normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and normalized burn ratio (NBR) were used as input channels for the deep learning models to reflect the degree of vegetation cover and surface moisture content. As a result, the mean intersection over union (mIoU) was 0.831 for U-Net and 0.848 for HRNet-OCR, showing high segmentation performance. The inclusion of spectral indices alongside the base wavelength bands resulted in increased metric values for all combinations, affirming that the augmentation of input data with spectral indices contributes to the refinement of pixels. This study can be applied to other satellite images to build a recovery strategy for fire-burnt areas.
From the year 2009, 3D Stereoscopic movies and TV have been spotlighted after the huge success of a movie called "AVATAR". Moreover, most of 3D movies & contents are created by mixing real-life shots & virtual animated pictures, such as "Robocop 3", "Transformer 4" as shown in 2014. However, the stereoscopic 3D video film shooting with a traditional stereoscopic rig camera system, takes much more time to set the rig system and adjust the system setting for proper film making which necessarily resulting in bigger cost. In fact, these problems have depreciated the success of Avatar as decreasing demand for 3D stereoscopic video shooting. In this paper, inherent problems of traditional stereoscopic rig camera system are analyzed, and as a solution for the problems, a novel implementations of single-lens optical stereoscopic 3D camera system is suggested. The new system can be implemented to a technology for separating two lights when even those lights passing through in the same optical axis. The system has advantages of adjusting the setting and taking video compared with traditional stereoscopic 3D rig systems. Furthermore, this system can acquire comfortable 3D stereoscopic video because of the good characteristics of geometrical errors. This paper will be discussed the single-lens stereoscopic 3D camera system using rolling shutters, it will be tested geometrical errors of this system. Lastly, other types of single lens stereoscopic 3D camera system are discussed to develop the promising future of this system.

This paper proposes a H-plane 8-way rectangular waveguide power divider using Y-junction. A general N-way power divider can be composed of multi-stage T-junctions. However, if the distances of output ports are close, the matching characteristic is not improved by using only T-junctions because of space limitation. In this case, since other types of 3-port junctions should be used to final output stage, Y-junctions are used with T-junctions in this paper. The proposed Y-junction uses the tapered-line impedance transformer and inductive irises to improve impedance matching characteristic. The 8-way power divider using Y-junction is fabricated and measured. The measured return loss and insertion loss from input port to output port are -30.8 dB and -9.3 dB at operating frequency, respectively. The measured maximum phase difference is about $1^{\circ}$. Therefore, the proposed power divider will be useful to apply to various microwave systems, which need to divide the input power equally, such as feed networks for array antennas.

With the development of industry these days, the demand for electric power increases and the larger capacity for power transfer is required. The scales of facilities should become larger; and the relative systems are required to operate with a higher degree of reliability. Therefore, stabilization of electric power systems is an important issue. The high degree of reliability required in the process of production and supply of electric power is an essential part of industrial society. Accident such as blackouts causes a hugh amount of economic losses to the high-tech industrial society dependent upon electric power. This paper is about the basic study of the relations between the load current and lifetime of power cables in operation. In order to do the research, we installed a current transformer and an equipment for measuring temperature at the 6.6. kV cables in operation. The two equipments have been installed on the cable systems in operation for the last 20 years. Since the insulation resistance of most of the cables showed the value larger than the threshold, it was not easy to tell the remaining lifetime of cables. The load current of the cables was almost constant. The surrunding temperature was $15{\sim}25^{\circ}C$, little variation of temperature values.

A RVDT is a sensor that measures angular displacement and the output signal of RVDT is a DSBSC-AM signal. For this reason, a DSBSC-AM demodulation processor is required to determine the angular displacement from the output signal. In this paper, DADC(Digital Angle to DC) which extracts the angular displacement from the output signal of a RVDT is implemented based-on modified Costas Loop usually used in the demodulation of DSBSC-AM signal by using FPGA. DADC can used with both 4-wire and 5-wire RVDTs and can exactly compensate the phase difference between the input excitation and output signals of a RVDT unlike the conventional analog RVDT signal conditioners which require external components. Since digital signal processing technique that can enhance the linearity is exploited, DADC shows 0.035% linearity error, which is smaller than 0.005% that of a conventional analog signal conditioner. The DADC are tested in an integrated experimental environment which includes a commercial RVDT sensor, ADC and an analog output block.
