Access Policy Transfer Between Active Nodes Using Identities

  • Active networks allow active node’s functionality to be extended dynamically through the use of active extensions. This flexible architecture facilitates the deployment of new network protocols and services. However, the active nature of a network also raises serious safety and security concerns. These concerns must be addressed before active networks can be deployed. In this paper we look at how we can control active extension’s access to different active nodes. Specifically, the authentication between active nodes is very important in this case. We use unique identity each node has for transferring access policies between active nodes. In this paper, we suggest a new method of transferring access policies performing authentications using identities between active nodes.

  • In this study, a translator for transferring structural analysis data among commercial structural analysis programs was developed. The translator adopted the neutral format type based on ISO standard STEP AP 209 not only for the international standardization and robustness but also for the efficient management of structural analysis data Additional load entity is developed and added to AP 209 for the prevention of loss of information in retrieving exact loading condition. A modulization which is needed for efficient management and extension of the translator was made for the encapsulation of file format of each commercial code. Pilot tests peformed with 3-D frame analysis data of Sung-su bridge show that the developed translator guarantees the integrated management of analysis information as well as the exact transferring and retrieving of analysis data and related information.

  • The vibration induced by high speed train running on rail is dealt with as an environmental problem. The train induced vibration is characterized by moving loads of specific frequency contents and soil conditions. In fact various sources are involved the wheal distance, number of cars, speed of operation, drift of rails, structural form vibration, etc. In this paper the characteristics of transferring vibration induced by the operational high-speed train is discussed. And the field measurements was conducted at region from Chungnam Yungi So-jung-myan to Chungbuk Chungwon hyun-do-myun. In the future is would be proposed the fundamental data for establishment of the countermeasure for vibrational reduction of high speed train using the results of the field measurements and quantitative prediction of the vibration level

  • Hardware implemented ring buffer systems and methods are presented for the effective management of the ring buffer in TCP/IP communication. The layer interface of the ring buffer systems transfer free buffer and used buffer size information to the TCP/IP stack upper or low layer. The pointer updation interface calculates a temporary pointer from the data size which is needed by the present pointer of the ring buffer and upper or lowyer layer. The pointer manager of the ring buffer systems is responsible for saving the present pointer of the ring buffer, updating the ring buffer pointer to the new pointer, calculating the free buffer size and used buffer size of the ring buffer, and transferring the information to the upper layer. The ring buffer systems help the TCP/IP layer and TCP/IP upper or lower layer to decide the sending or receiving data size effectively. The delay of transferring data can be lowered by the ring buffer system.

  • In practice, it is common to manufacture reference blocks containing simple reflectors to obtain distance-amplitude correction (DAC) curves. However, the construction or DAC curves in this manner requires the use of a large number of specimens with appropriate curvatures and reference reflectors located at various depths. Therefore, less costly and quantitative procedures are strongly needed. To address such a need, in this study, we have developed model-based transfer curves to relate a DAC curve obtained in a particular reference configuration with that for a completely different configuration. An example of transferring DAC curves, using the proposed transfer curves, is given.

  • Lots of researches have been focusing on ubiquitous computing which means wherever, whenever, whatever the required information must be accessible. In ubiquitous computing environment, ubiquitous sensor network (USN) is the basis technology for gathering and transferring the required information. However sensor network characteristically has more severe vulnerability than the existing networks do. The paper presents operation of secure protocols for delivering information in secure in ubiquitous computing environment and show improvement of the secure transferring protocol.

  • To maintain reliable and stable power grid the Power Dispatch Center consists of two sections, primary and backup centers. It is necessary that the Backup Dispatch Center stay away from the primary center in case of emergency like terror and natural disaster. The Backup Dispatch Center operates transmission lines outside of Seoul metropolitan area and could perform main center's role when primary center lose control Without building a duplex Power IT system, it would be doubtful to operate both centers efficiently. This paper deals with primary and backup Power IT systems which run two Dispatch Centers and focuses on expectation effects of its duplex system and transferring the Backup system.

  • Defense offset is considered to be all effective way of acquiring defense critical technologies and arms components as a counter-trade obligation ill defense acquisition contracts. Although arranging the offset contracts is wide]y perceived as necessary, there hardly exists an acceptable model of valuation of the offset technology. By undertaking the technology valuation approach and applying the option approach tn the offset program, we present an offset technology valuation model that maximizes social net benefit of the countries transferring the technology. This article applies our model to an actual case of defense technology transfer in the Republic of Korea. The contribution of this paper is in applying the option approach to the valuation of defense onset technology, providing for the additional flexibility to tile analysis. Our research suggests several policy implications that can be applied to the actual process of defense offsets. Our results elucidate managers' role and responsibilities in designing such a process by applying option approaches.

  • 1. Introduction Present study presents the basic concept of a Solid Freeform Fabrication System using a rapid prototyping procedure and optimal control for a transferring and accumulating system. And it developed a novel rapid prototyping process that can use ceramic or metal as well as polymer as a basic material. 2.   • To analyze dynamic and long-term behavior of high speed rail system, and seismic measurements been installed at the various locations in the high speed rail system. Among these, 76 measurements were installed Chunan and Deajeon, and 80 measurements between Kwangmyung and Chunan. From these 156 measurements, real time data are continuously corrected and be sent to the main monitoring system to be used further analysis. These two systems were installed by different institution, and so there are not only basic differences in the system itself, but system running methods and data collecting/transferring methodology. There has been systematic difficulties due to these differences. This study shows the whole steps of high speed rail data monitoring systems include measurement equipment itself and data collecting/transferring system. study will proposed a more effective methods for collecting. This study also discuss the real time analysis method which can be used for future high speed rail monitoring system.
