In United States black mothers have consistently been treated as national outsiders, as women whose children, although ostensibly entitled to full citizenship, are in practice rarely provided with equal protection within the nation′s borders or under its laws. From the time he began writing in the aftermath of the failures of national Reconstruction, the African American public intellectual and political activist W. E. B. Du Bois realized that a truly effective anti-racist politics would also have to contend with the particular ways in which U.S. racism targeted black mothers. In short, he understood that an effective anti-racism would necessarily have to be a form of anti-sexism. This article examines the myriad ways in which Du Bois attempted to reconstruct the relationship between race and reproduction in the interest of producing anti-racist, anti-nationalist, as well as internationalist thinking. In so doing it treats the various representations of black maternity and child birth that Du Bois created, and elaborates on the rhetorical and political function of these representations in combating the racialization of national belonging on the one hand, and in articulating universal black citizenship, or what this article theorizes as racial globality on the other. The article begins by considering Du Bois′s attempts to transcend ideas about the racialized reproductive body as a source of national belonging within the United States, particularly his efforts to contest the idea of the reconstructing nation as a white nation reproduced exclusively by white women. Through analysis of Du Bois′s depiction of the birth and death of his son in his monumental work The Souls of Black Folk (1903) it demonstrates his reluctance to build an anti-racist politics founded on the idea that belonging within the nation is something that can be bestowed by one′s mother. The article proceeds by turning to Du Bois less well-known romantic novel, Dark Princess (1928) in which, by contrast, he depicts the birth of a "golden chi1d" who belongs not only within the United States, but within the world. This child, the son of an African American man and an Indian Princess, is cast as a messenger and messiah of a utopian alliance between pan-Asia and pan-Africa. In exploring the relationship between these two reproductive portraits, the article moves from a discussion of Du Bois′s critique of the ideological construction of the U.S. as a white nation reproduced by white progenitors, to an examination the literary figuration of a b1aek mother out of whose womb a black diasporic anti-imperialist alliance springs. In contrast to previous scholarship, which has tended to focus on the critique of U.S. racial nationalism that Du Bois expressed in his early work, or on the internationalism that he later embraced, this article pays close attention to how Du Bois′s anti-nationalist and internationalist politics together subtended by subtle, but constitutive, sexual politics.

기업은 현재 급변하는 기업환경의 변화에 따라 브랜드에 대한 관심이 이론적, 실무적으로 증가하고 있는 시점에 있다. 이는 보다 가치 있는 브랜드를 만들어 내고 이를 지속적으로 관리 및 강화 시켜 나가기 위한 브랜드 자산의 진단 및 관리 모델개발에 대한 필요성이 대두되고 있음을 말해주고 있다. 이러한 배경 아래 본 연구는 실제로 브랜드자산이 소비자의 실제 구매행위에 어떤 영향을 미치는지에 대한 분석을 실증적으로 수행한 연구이다. 다시 말하면, 기업들의 점증하는 체계적 브랜드관리에 대한 필요성을 인식하면서 이에 부응하기 위한 하나의 통합적 브랜드 관리 시스템의 개발로 볼 수 있다. 더욱이 기존의 이론 연구와 실제 현장에서 활용되고 있는 모델들을 통하여 한계점을 찾고, 이를 해결하기 위한 새로운 형태의 브랜드 성과진단 모델로서 본 연구는 그 활용가치가 매우 높다고 할 수 있다. 이론적으로는 단순한 경쟁사와의 차별적 위치를 확보하기 위한 브랜드의 개념보다는 좀 더 확장된 형태의 브랜드자산과 성과에 대한 연구로서 본 연구의 의의를 찾아볼 수 있다. 더욱이 3개의 세분 시장별로 추출한 총 15개의 브랜드에 대한 실증분석을 통하여 제시한 연구모형을 검증하여 보았다. 실증 결과적으로는 세분시장별로 일부 차이는 보이고 있지만 구매행위로 대변되는 브랜드성과는 브랜드파워를 비롯한 여러 연구변수와의 유의한 관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 브랜드의 중요성은 현실적으로 증대되고 있으며, 강한 브랜드를 만들기 위해서는 브랜드관리가 전제되어야 하고, 또한 관리를 위해서는 측정이 수반되어야 한다. 본 연구에서 제시하고 있는 연구모형의 실증적 결과들은 기업들이 보다 브랜드 중심적인 경영 전략을 펼칠 수 있는 당위성을 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

본 연구는 미술관의 방문자의 특성 및 방문형태가 미술관의 상대적 위상지각 및 심미적 반응, 그리고 미술관의 제공 혜택지각에 영향을 미쳐 후속하여 방문자의 만족 및 개인.사회적 참여행동에 미치는 영향을 검증하였다. 이를 위해 미술관을 방문한 방문자를 대상으로 약 4주 동안 조사를 실시하였다. 총 315부를 배포하여 308부를 회수하였으나 이 중 불성실한 응답으로 분석대상으로 적합하지 않는 자료 15부를 제외한 293부를 최종 분석에 사용하였다. 연구결과, 방문자의 특성은 미술관의 상대적 위상지각 및 미술관 제공 혜택지각에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나 심미적 반응에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 미술관의 방문형태는 상대적 위상지각에는 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나 심미적 반응과 미술관의 제공 혜택지각에는 유의한 영향을 미치 지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 미술관의 상대적 위상지각은 심미적 반응에 긍정적 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나 미술관의 제공 혜택지각에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 아울러 미술관의 상대적 위상지각은 방문자 만족에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났으나 심미적 반응 및 미술관 제공 혜택지각은 방문자 만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 미술관의 방문자가 만족할수록 향후 미술관의 다양한 프로그램에 참여도 높게 나타났다. 이로써 미래의 미술관은 방문자의 교육, 자선행사, 기부행사 등 내외적인 참여행동을 이끌어 일반 대중과 함께하는 공간으로 인식시키는 것이 방문자의 만족을 이끌 뿐만 아니라 개인.사회적 참여까지도 이끌 수 있음을 시사하고 있다.

현대 신경과학은 인간의 마음이 신체기관인 뇌 활동의 산물이며, 뇌의 활동이 멈추면 마음의 작용도 함께 정지한다는 심신 일원론을 지지한다. 그러나 상당수의 일반인은 여전히 일원론적 입장으로 설명하기 어려운 마음영속성과 사후세계에 대한 믿음을 갖고 있다. 본 연구에서는 죽은 사람의 마음이 단순히 작동정지하거나 약화된 마음이 아니라, 살아있는 사람의 마음과 구별되는, 시공간의 물리적 제약을 초월하는 마음으로 간주되는지 살펴보았다. 참가자들은 주인공이 교통사고 후 사망하거나, 생존하거나, 또는 뇌사상태가 되는 가상의 시나리오를 읽은 뒤, 각 상태의 주인공이 보유한 '일반적 정신능력'과 '초월적 정보수집 능력' 수준을 평정하였다. 연구 결과, 주인공이 사망한 조건에서는 주인공의 일반적 정신능력이 높다고 평가할수록 초월적 정보수집 능력도 높다고 응답하는 상관관계가 관찰되었으나, 생존 조건에서는 이러한 경향성이 관찰되지 않았다. 이는 죽은 사람과 산 사람에게 기대되는 정신능력의 속성이 서로 달라서, 죽은 사람이 소유한 높은 일반 정신능력은 초월적인 능력을 함축함을 시사한다. 추가적으로, 참가자의 종교적 믿음 또한 사망한 사람의 초월적 정보수집 능력에 대한 태도에 영향을 주는 변인임을 확인하였다.

최근의 외식산업은 치열한 경쟁력과 함께 인력수급이 급격하게 증가되고 있다. 따라서 인적서비스의 효율적인 관리가 중요시 되면서 리더십에 대한 연구가 호텔과 패밀리 레스토랑을 대상으로 관리자와 종사자에 대한 실증적인 연구가 되고 있지만 아직 미흡한 실정이다. 따라서 외식산업에서의 최근 연구동향을 토대로 향후 연구의 방향을 살펴보면 첫째, 외식산업에서 직속상사를 포함한 관리자와 종사자에 관한 국내 연구가 미미한 상황에서 외식산업 관리자의 리더십에 관한 연구가 최근의 변화한 조직내 구성원에 대한 실증연구를 토대로 호텔과 패밀리레스토랑을 대상으로 이루어 져야 한다. 또한 과거 대부분의 종사자에 대한 직무만족, 조직몰입, 조직시민행동 등의 연구가 임금이나 승진 등에 초점을 두었는데 과거보다 학벌수준이 높고 젊은 층이 많은 조직내 구성원에 대한 조직문화에 초점을 둔 시대의 흐름에 맞는 연구가 이루어 져야 한다. 둘째, 변혁적 리더십과 리더-구성원 교환관계는 각기 독립적으로 연구에서 관리자의 리더십이라는 하나의 틀 속에서 분석해 실증적인 연구가 이루어져야 한다. 셋째, 기업의 핵심인재의 관리와 함께 금전적 보상체계의 개혁뿐 아니라 비금전적 차원에서의 배려나 지원이 요구된다. 네째, 외식산업 관리자의 역할 또한 전문가로서 평생직장의 개념보다 평생직업으로서 자신의 능력과 함께 매뉴얼이 있어야 할 것이다. 다섯째, 구성원들에게 지속적으로 교육훈련을 시킬 수 있는 리더십개발 프로그램이 마련되어야 하며 마지막으로 환경과 조직문화에 따라 리더십 유형의 적용이나 선택이 외식업채 특성에 맞는 실증적 연구가 앞으로도 계속 진행되어야 될 것이다.

Even in this current high-tech industrial age, mythological imagination is considered important. Although each mythology scattered all across the world may have an insignificant origin, to understand that particular society fully, one must not mistakenly assume that the mythology itself is a production of a primitive mind. Ultramodern physics and futurology professor Freeman Dyson has also acknowledged this opinion. He insists that in order for human kind to survive into the far future it most keep in touch with its far past. Levi-Strauss also observes that mythology and science aren't a entirely separate domains. The scientific mind is regarded as a source of understanding the intrinsic qualities of mythology. Taking mythology and science as a binomial opposition, and only weighing their prospects, should be put to the past as we should recognize the need for mythology and science's qualitative unification. In this new point of view, regarding mythology as a meaningless irrationality should cease, while finding out why the inevitably related world of mythology needs metaphoric, ideological consideration. By utilizing 'Whale Rider' by Witi Ihimaera(2004) we will discover why our lives require an 'image' that is borrowed from our experience. The author, Witi Ihimaera, is originally from the Maori tribe, who approaches the world with a mythological imagination, which is not easy to understand with scientific thinking nor in modern civilization. When looking into the mythology of the ocean which still lives in modern civilization, while noting that the world is one, the author indicates that reality and unreality, nature and the super-natural, present and the past, science and fantasy, were not divided from the beginning. However, overtime humans have divided the borders. To do this, the author interprets the ancient emotions of the Maori tribe which have been traditionally accumulated in the group identity in a new literary way by introducing the Maori tribe's ancestral god, Paikia, who can converse with the ocean and the whales. This piece, which has been made into a movie and won awards in 5 international film festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival, regards primitive emotions as a rational concept instead of an instrumental concept. Also these primative emotions are continuing their attempts to communicate with nature. Furthermore, it advises contemporary human beings who seek for eternal life to not exploit the cultural differences that have been formed naturally, and it is vital for human beings to transcend the ethnic boundaries and to think rationally. In the story, we can find "the dissimilar us" that philosopher E. Levinas mentioned in his sayings, which refers to responsible human beings who devote their lives for the sake of other people instead of fulfilling their own needs.

This study analyzed descriptions about dots, lines, and sides which are used as a basic elements to express geometric figures as followings: -In the aspect of formative art, dots form images and feelings through their concurrence when make a slight move to coordinates. The concurrence can bring out either positive or negative images; -Lines have unlimited variation as a core measure in body art. They can make optimal effects with different lines such as straight and curved lines of human body; -Sides express not only effects of texture and perspective but also of space and solid by color effects. Expressive characteristics and geometric shapes can be classified by tattoo, henna and body painting: First, colorful tattoos are favored by Caucasian and original tattoos are mostly used by yellow and colored races in the way of scarification to get decorative effects. Recently, a rapid cycle of fashion change in tattoo figures has developed a tentative method of tattooing and a variety of decoration methods. It has made it a lot easier to change a pattern of a tattoo. Tattoos are now popular among people because they no longer have to suffer from pains when they get their body tattooed for a long time. Since tattoos boast their unique beauty which consists of most dynamic and attractive images among the types of body art. It will be one of the most favored make-up methods in the nearest future. Second, geometric designs used in henna include crosses, dots, straight lines, triangles, date palms, and so on. Henna has been particularly loved as an instant decoration by the public since it gradually disappears as time goes on. Third, body painting enables to draw a three-dimensional effect because of its close relation with body movements in a limited space. Each individual will have a different feeling appealed in their body painting. Body painting has been applied to many different areas, especially to theatrical art using lights, music and performance altogether producing impromptu and experimental works. Unlike other arts such as painting, sculpture, visual and industrial arts, body painting has mobility. Since it is painted on a three-dimensional human body, it can bear originality expressing realistic objects or animals and strengthen creative functions using body lines. Moreover, geometric designs can be diversified by the sexes. As a result of analysis, geometric designs expressed in body art seemed to transcend expressions of beauty and turned out to be another way of decoration. Body art has also been used as a way to express visual integration and consolidation dynamically not by human instinct but by social changes. The needs for body art will grow as the future comes nearer and be recognized as a new and fresh value. Formative elements of geometric figures deliver visual impressions combined with human body and finally create more various types of body art in harmony of body lines.

오늘날 문화산업은 전반적으로 예술에 대한 관심보다 상업적 경제적 가치에 치중해 왔으나, 본 연구는 예술적 문화적 의미가 궁극적으로 상업적 경제적 가치를 포괄하여 뛰어넘을 수 있는 돌파구가 될 수 있을 것이다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 실감미디어 아트의 사례분석과 실감미디어 현황살피기를 통하여 3D 입체영상이 나아갈 바를 예측하고 제시한다. 먼저 기술개발과 소비환경의 변화를 살펴보면, SF영화 '마이너리티 리포트'에 나온 모션인식기술이 현재 실현가능한 기술이다. 3D 입체영상은 테마파크와 체험관에서 단체 상영되었지만 오늘날 3D TV와 3D 모니터 개발은 개별적인 소비환경으로 변화시키고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내에서 거의 연구되지 않았던 실감미디어 아트를 크게 세 분류로 나누어 분석한다. 그 결과는 첫째, CAVE방식에서 관람자들이 자유롭게 인터페이스를 조작하거나 관람자의 직접적인 움직임에 따라 연동할 수 있는 관람자의 영향력 확대를 예상한다. 둘째, HMD방식과 센서슈트 혹은 통신장비를 통해 관람자의 지각확장과 상호 네트워크적인 형태를 예측한다. 셋째, HMD와 모션트래킹 재킷의 활용도 예견된다. 이 세 가지 특징의 융합적 활용을 통해 관람자의 시점에서 디스플레이 기기 착용으로 3D 입체영상을 체감하고 개입할 수 있는 능동적 4D의 가능성을 전망한다.

The purposes of this research are firstly to define the characteristics of movement on the costume, secondly to demonstrate that fine art, expecially in relation to kinetic art, has become a good motif in modern costume de-sign, and thirdly to examin the characteristics of movement as shown in modern costume de-sign. For this study, we selected and analyzed some costume designs among those introduced in fashion magazines, which are Collections, Fashion-Preview, Fashion Show, Collezioni, and L'Officiel that have been issued since 1988. As this research is carried out only through the analysis of pictures, it is not ac-companied by a study on material itself. The result of this study is that the ex-pression of movement on modern fashion can be shown in two ways, one is the inclusive and subordinate movement expressed on the cloth-ing according to the motion of body when they are worn, and the other is the movement caused by the very designs of clothing. And the latter can be also divided in two ways, the illusionistic movement and the actual move-ment. The expression of actual movement is made through the emphasis of direction, rhythm, and dimension of the costume. And the illusionistic movement is expressed by the de-sign to which the textile pattern or reflection of light is applied so that the movement is larger than the actual movement. A sense of direction expressed on the cos-tume by the actual movement creates a light rhythm and adds interest to the costume. This reflects a part of psychology of modern men who are not accustomed to the statics. In the rapidly changing society of information our modern men seek after movement even in the statics. It is also true in the clothing and they seem to get a psychological rest through the immediated visual change as shown in fashion design. The simple and cheerful rhythm expressed by the illusionistic movement on the costume is attempted in order to overcome the static tediousness caused by simple design. These elements of movement cause the en-largement of visible range and create another enlarged shape other than the real one, so that they come to remove the dullness and monot-ony in costume design and provoke interest in costume, as if kinetic art reveals the various aspects that transcend the closed area of fine art upon the motif of 'movement'. finally, as this paper deals with the ex-pression of movement as shown in the costume design which prevailed after 1988, it is desir-able hereafter to study more about the fashion since 1950 when kinetic art began in earnest, along with the comparative study on the ex-pression of movement in our Korean designer's and foreign designer's works.

융·복합이라는 시대사조에 발맞추어 댄스필름의 역사에 대해 살펴보고, 영상기법에 대해 분석한다. 댄스필름은 무용이 영화라는 장르와 명백하게 결합하여 생성된 장르임을 이해하고 댄스필름에서 필연적으로 나타날 영화적 문법이 어떻게 사용되었고 어떠한 효과를 주는지에 대한 분석이 필요하다. 나아가 댄스필름의 가치를 파악하고 장르특성규정에 본 연구의 목적이 있다. 댄스필름 문법에 대한 분석과 자료가 미비하여 연구를 위해 영화에서 사용하는 기법을 차용하여 영상기법으로 분석하였으며 작품은 빔 반데키부스의 Blush를 선정하여 분석하는데 연구 제한점이 있다. 작품을 분석한 결과 영화의 기본 문법을 적극적으로 차용하여 연출에 반영하였으며 무용을 기반으로 한 장르임에도 불구하고 작품들이 영상기법을 활용하는 방식에서도 감독의 예술 성향에 따라 차별성이 뚜렷하게 드러나고 있다. 또한 영화적 문법의 시용으로 움직임의 효과를 배로 증진시켰으며, 표현의 목적을 강조하여 주제가 관객에게 효과적으로 전달될 수 있도록 유도하였다. 영상문법을 통한 정확한 의도전달은 창작자와 관객과의 거리를 좁히는 역할을 한다. 이는 무용장르의 대중화에 기여를 할 것이며 융·복합 시대에 무용장르가 생존 할 수 있는 하나의 전략이 될 수 있다. 댄스필름이 현재보다 다양한 스토리를 가지고 제작된다면 문화산업으로써 자리매김 할 수 있으며, 수익 창출이 가능할 것이다.
