  • Artificial Intelligence has stimulated every aspect of today's life. Human thinking quality is trying to be involved through digital tools in all research areas of the modern era. The education industry is also leveraging artificial intelligence magical power. Uses of digital technologies in pedagogical paradigms are being observed from the last century. The widespread involvement of artificial intelligence starts reshaping the educational landscape. Adaptive learning is an emerging pedagogical technique that uses computer-based algorithms, tools, and technologies for the learning process. These intelligent practices help at each learning curve stage, from content development to student's exam evaluation. The quality of information technology students and professionals training has also improved drastically with the involvement of artificial intelligence systems. In this paper, we will investigate adopted digital methods in the education sector so far. We will focus on intelligent techniques adopted for information technology students and professionals. Our literature review works on our proposed framework that entails four categories. These categories are communication between teacher and student, improved content design for computing course, evaluation of student's performance and intelligent agent. Our research will present the role of artificial intelligence in reshaping the educational process.

예비교사의 데이터 리터러시 역량 증진을 위한 빅데이터 분석 교양강좌의 개발 및 적용 (The Development and Application of the Big Data Analysis Course for the Improvement of the Data Literacy Competency of Teacher Training College Students)

  • 최근, 급격히 발전하는 미래 디지털 사회를 살아갈 학생들의 디지털 리터러시와 데이터 리터러시 관련 기초소양 교육이 강조되고 있다. 이에 일반 대학과 교육 대학에서도 기초소양으로서 빅데이터 및 데이터 리터러시 향상을 위한 교육의 수요가 많아지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 예비교사를 위한 빅데이터 분석 교양강좌를 설계 및 적용하고 데이터 리터러시에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 투입 프로그램에 대한 흥미도와 이해도 분석 결과, 예비교사의 수준에 적절한 형태임을 확인했으며, 데이터 리터러시의 '지식', '기능', '가치와 태도'의 모든 영역에서 유의미한 역량의 향상이 있는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과가 체계적인 데이터 리터러시 관련 교육 연구에 도움을 주어 학생과 예비교사들의 데이터 리터러시를 증진하는데 이바지할 수 있기를 기대한다.

소방 방화복 교차오염 저감 및 관리체계 개선을 위한 델파이 연구 (Delphi Study on the Reduction of Cross-contamination and Improvement of Management System on Firefighting Protection Suit)

  • Objectives: This study evaluates and recommends the priority of policy implementation to improve the fire protection clothing management system used by firefighters and the reduction of cross-contamination from contaminated clothing at the scene of a fire. Methods: It consisted of 7 experts and conducted three interviews and two modified Delphi surveys. Through the results of previous research and interviews with experts, a plan to reduce cross-contamination of fire suits and improve the management system was first derived. An improvement plan was presented in the four areas including resources, management, fire protection related work, and laws and regulations, and the priority of policy implementation was derived by analyzing the importance and practicality of the policy at the same time. Results: As a result of the analysis, the first priority was education on the health effects of pollutants at the disaster scene for firefighters, and the second priority was the addition of SOP for the primary decontamination of on-scene personal protective equipment in preparation for the health effects of the disaster scene, and education for fire suppression and rescue workers. The next step was to improve the management system of personal protective equipment such as fire suits and develop a training course for systematic operation. Conclusions: This findings could be used in the implementation of mid- to long-term firefighting policies for the systematic operation and establishment of a systematic management system for personal protective equipment such as fire protective suits.

Learners' Responses to a Virtual Cadaver Dissection Nerve Course in the COVID Era: A Survey Study

  • Background Virtual education is an evolving method for teaching medical learners. During the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, remote learning has provided a replacement for conferences, lectures, and meetings, but has not been described as a method for conducting a cadaver dissection. We aim to demonstrate how learners perceive a virtual cadaver dissection as an alternative to live dissection. Methods A virtual cadaver dissection was performed to demonstrate several upper extremity nerve procedures. These procedures were livestreamed as part of an educational event with multimedia and interactive audience questions. Participants were queried both during and after the session regarding their perceptions of this teaching modality. Results Attendance of a virtual dissection held for three plastic surgery training institutions began at 100 and finished with 70 participants. Intrasession response rates from the audience varied between 68 and 75%, of which 75% strongly agreed that they were satisfied with the virtual environment. The audience strongly agreed or agreed that the addition of multimedia captions (88%), magnified video loupe views (82%), and split-screen multicast view (64%) was beneficial. Postsession response rate was 27%, and generally reflected a positive perspective about the content of the session. Conclusions Virtual cadaver dissection is an effective modality for teaching surgical procedures and can be enhanced through technologies such as video loupes and multiple camera perspectives. The audience viewed the virtual cadaver dissection as a beneficial adjunct to surgical education. This format may also make in-person cadaver courses more effective by improving visualization and allowing for anatomic references to be displayed synchronously.

물체 탐지 기술을 사용하여 골프 그린에서 홀 컵 인지 모델 개발 (Development of a Hole Cup Recognition Model on Golf Green Using Object Detection Technology)

  • 본 논문은 골프 그린에서 홀 컵을 인식하는 인공 지능 모델의 개발에 관한 연구이다. 그린에서 홀 컵의 인지을 위하여 CNN기반 물체 탐지 알고리즘을 사용하였다. 또한 물체 탐지 알고리즘의 모델을 생성하기 위하여 애플사의 CreateML을 사용하였다. 본 논문은 CreateML의 요구에 맞도록 120개의 학습 이미지 및 주석 데이터로 JSON 파일을 만들었다. 또한 정확한 학습을 위하여 학습 데이터에 데이터 증폭 알고리즘을 사용하여 288개의 학습 데이터로 증폭하였고, 이를 사용하여 학습하였다. CreateML에서 요구하는 Iterations, Batch size, Grid size를 변화시키면서 모델의 성능을 높이는 파라미터 값을 찾았다. 개발된 모델을 적용하여 프로토타입 앱을 개발하였고, 이 프로토타입을 이용하여 실제 골프장 그린에서 홀 컵 인지에 대한 성능을 측정하였다. 측정 결과 일반적인 골퍼의 퍼팅 거리인 10m이내에서 홀 컵을 정확히 인지함을 알 수 있었다.

변증(辨證) 기반 진료수행시험(CPX) 시나리오를 이용한 역할극에 대한 학생 자가 평가의 일치도와 개선 방안 (Consistency of Student Self-Assessment of Role Play Using the Syndrome Differentiation-Based Clinical Performance Examination Scenario and Improvement Measures)

  • Objectives : This study analyzed the concordance between student self-assessment and peer-evaluation in a role play using the Clinical Performance Examination (CPX) scenario developed based on Korean medical syndrome differentiation. Methods : The subjects of this study are first-year-students majoring in Korean Medicine. The role play based on clinical case was performed in the class of Korean Medicine Classics. Feedback on clinical skill competency got through student self-assessment and peer-evaluation, and this study was compared and analyzed of result. Results : A simple comparison of the results of self-assessment and peer-evaluation in the evaluation results of clinical skill competency may appear to be consistent. However, it was not statistically significant. It is necessary to enhance the discriminative ability in the evaluation of clinical skill competency. It will be possible to improve a bit by relatively increasing the weight of the scores on the items that students expect to respond differently among the evaluation items. In addition, in order to dramatically improve the systemicity and reliability of the evaluation of clinical skill competency itself, it is necessary to introduce the Introduction to Clinical Traditional Korean Medicine (ICTKM) course. Conclusions : Student's self-assessment and peer-evaluation as feedback on clinical skill competency are suitable for the purpose of education and training. However, the reliability of the evaluation was not statistically significant.

NCS based Leveled Micro-Degree Certification Model for Training Practical Cyber Security Experts

  • 본 논문에서는 NCS에서 정의된 직무를 기반으로 직무의 수준을 고려한 수준별 마이크로디그리 직무능력인증 모델을 제안한다. 4차 산업혁명 등 빠르게 변화하는 기술환경을 따라가지 못하는 대학교육의 문제로 인해 인력의 미스매치가 발생하고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 고안된 나노디그리와 마이크로 디그리 체계를 사이버보안 인력의 직무능력 인증에 활용한다. NCS의 세분류 분야별 직무를 마이크로 디그리, 능력단위별 세부직무를 나노디그리로 정의하고, 수준별로 구분된 능력단위의 수준을 마이크로 디그리에 동일하게 적용한다. 그리고 이를 학위기반의 대학 학력에 상응하는 직무능력을 인증하는 체계이다. 이러한 체계를 영남이공대학교 사이버보안스쿨의 교육과정에 적용하여 NCS직무 기반으로 나노디그리 과정을 구성하는 방안을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법은 최근 들어 많은 대학들이 도입하고 있는 나노디그리와 마이크로디그리의 직무역량 인증을 위한 방법으로 사용가능하다.

Implementation of Unity's Catastrophic Situation Driving Training Simulator for the Disabled

  • 장애인의 운전 교육 이수 과정은 어려움과 불편한 부분들이 많다. 운전 교육 내용 부분에서도 실제 운전 주행 중 예측할 수 없는 다양한 돌발상황들이 발생한다. 현재 시행하고 있는 운전 교육 과정에서도 돌발상황에 대한 교육들이 이루어지고 있으나, 다양한 돌발상황에 대처하는 교육은 미비하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 유니티 기반의 장애인 운전 교육 시뮬레이터를 제안한다. 유니티를 이용하여 다양한 돌발상황에 대한 시나리오를 구성하여 시뮬레이터를 제작한다. 피실험자들을 통하여 모의주행을 실시하여, 평가항목에 따른 기존의 돌발상황에 대한 대처 점수를 평가한다. 기존의 운전 교육 시뮬레이터에 비해 제안 시스템의 돌발상황에 대한 대처 능력의 평가점수가 높게 나온 것으로 확인되었다. 제안 시스템을 활용하면 돌발상황에 대한 대처 능력 향상과 실제감 높은 운전 체험을 통하여 삶의 질을 높이는 것을 기대할 수 있다.

Investigation of 0.5 MJ superconducting energy storage system by acoustic emission method.

  • The rapid development of small-scale (1-10 MJ) Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage Systems (SMES) can be explained by real perspective of practical implementation of these devices in electro power nets. However the serious problem of all high mechanically stressed superconducting coils-problem of training and degradation (decreasing) of operating current still exists. Moreover for SMES systems this problems is more dangerous because of pulsed origin of mechanical stresses-one of the major sources of local heat disturbances in superconducting coils. We investigated acoustic emission (AE) phenomenon on model and 0.5 MJ SMES coils taking into account close correlation of AE and local heat disturbances. Two-coils 0.5 MJ SMES system was developed, manufactured and tested at Russian Research Center in the frames of cooperation with Korean Electrical Engineering Company (KEPCO) [1]. The two-coil SMES operates with the stored energy transmitted between coils in the course of a single cycle with 2 seconds energy transfer time. Maximum operating current 1.55 kA corresponds to 0.5 MF in each coil. The Nb-Ti-based conductor was designed and used for SMES manufacturing. It represents transposed cable made of Nb-Ti strands in copper matrix, several cooper strands and several stainless steel strands. The coils are wound onto fiberglass cylindrical bobbins. To make AE event information more useful a real time instrumentation system was used. Two main measured and computer processed AE parameters were considered: the energy of AE events (E) and the accumulated energy of AE events (E ). Influence of current value in 0.5 MJ coils on E and E was studied. The sensors were installed onto the bobbin and the external surface of magnets. Three levels of initial current were examined: 600A, 1000A, 2450 A. An extraordinary strong dependence of the current level on E and E was observed. The specific features of AE from model coils, operated in sinusoidal vibration current changing mode were investigated. Three current frequency modes were examined: 0.012 Hz, 0.03 Hz and 0.12 Hz. In all modes maximum amplitude 1200 A was realized.

한의과대학생들의 프로페셔널리즘 강화를 위한 역량중심 교육과정의 시론적 고찰 (A Study on the Competency-based Education for Strengthening Professionalism as medical students of Korean Medicine)

  • Objectives : We tried to propose the direction of Korean medicine education through the consideration of 'professionalism as a competency beyond knowledge-skill' that modern medicine should take and therefore the perspectives of the competency-based curriculum in Korean medicine education. Methods : Competency-based curriculum, professionalism education phase and competency at medical school, student demand survey, Korean medicine education Accreditation Standards, and related research articles were used. Results : Proposed development measures to cultivate students' professionalism in Korean medicine education are as follows. self-care and emotional stability programs, communications between patient and doctor and among the colleagues, career exploration programs based on global medical trends and government policy, standardized professional training programs, and the evaluation of teaching experiences and achievements. Conclusions : The main purpose of the reorganization of the competency-based curriculum should be for improving Korean medicine education. The contents of phase performance, process performance, and course performance should be carefully organized so that the core contents and spirit of traditional Korean medicine can be achieved. In modern medicine, education of professionalism has been used to cover the problems that arise from taking achievement goals only from a biomedical perspectives. Accordingly the education of professionalism is also important in Korean medicine education as the modern Korean medicine follows the aspect of modern medicine,
