Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) was the primary source of medical treatment for the people inhabiting East Asia for thousands of years. These ancient practices have incorporated a wide variety of materia medica including plants, animals and minerals. As modern sciences, including natural products chemistry, emerged, there became increasing efforts to explore the chemistry of this materia medica to find molecules responsible for their traditional use. Insects, including beetles have played an important role in TCM. In our survey of texts and review articles on TCM materia medica, we found 48 species of beetles from 34 genera in 14 different families that are used in TCM. This review covers the chemistry known from the beetles used in TCM, or in cases where a species used in these practices has not been chemically studied, we discuss the chemistry of closely related beetles. We also found several documented uses of beetles in Traditional Korean Medicine (TKM), and included them where appropriate. There are 129 chemical constituents of beetles discussed.

In this paper, we propose improved night visibility enhancement algorithm based on haze removal method. The proposed method uses new haze removal method in place of the conventional methods. Our night visibility enhancement method is very good and faster than traditional methods. This method also uses additionally local histogram equalization for sharpening the enhanced image. Our method can be applied to any application that uses a visible light camera, and it is appropriate to apply a black box, vehicle camera, and cell phone camera, since it is possible that real-time processing.

We consider a zero coupon bond that is at the risk of multitype multiple defaults. Assuming defaults occur according to k Cox processes, we find a price process for zero coupon bonds. To derive this process we follow the Lando (1998)'s method which uses conditional expectations instead of the traditional methods.

This paper uses a data mining approach to develop bankruptcy prediction models suitable for traditional (off-line) companies and electronic (on-line) companies. It observes the differences in the composition prediction models between these two types of companies and provides interpretation of bankruptcy classifications. The bankruptcy prediction models revealed the major variables in predicting bankruptcy to be 'cash flow to total assets' and 'gross value-added to net sales' for traditional off-line companies while 'cash flow to liabilities','gross value-added to net sales', and 'current ratio' for electronic companies. The accuracy rates of final prediction models for traditional off-line and electronic companies were found to be $84.7\%\;and\;82.4\%$, respectively. When the model for traditional off-line companies was applied for electronic companies, prediction accuracy dropped significantly in the case of bankruptcy classification (from $70.4\%\;to\;45.2\%$) at the level of a blind guess ($41.30\%$). Therefore, the need for different models for traditional off-line and electronic companies is justified.

This is an empirical study on Korean traditional restaurant service providers and customers who get direct service from them. This study focuses on the service performance determiners; customer satisfaction, service quality, service providers' satisfaction and loyalty. In order to meet its purpose, we survey 1,000 customers who have visited Korean traditional restaurants. This survey uses the SERVPERF service quality measuring theory. The results are as follows: First, the service providers' satisfaction have an effect on service quality, so the supervisor of a Korean traditional restaurant should construct a HRM (Human Resources Management) system for increasing employees' satisfaction. Second, employees' loyalty is significant, but its effect is lower than their satisfaction. Third, service quality affects customers' satisfaction and loyalty significantly. Fourth, employees' satisfaction and loyalty considerably influences customers' satisfaction and loyalty. Consequently, restaurant managers put their effort into increasing employees' satisfaction, loyalty, and service quality.

The smart festival costume developed in this study maximizes the design elements by attaching electronic device to clothing, and uses voice, movement, and light sensor to utilize as expression elements. In addition, as a way to maximize cultural exchanges between Korea and China, smart festival costume was developed by applying smart clothing technology to the traditional costumes of both countries. and it was exhibited for 10 days at the 'Andong International Mask Dance Festival 2018'. The smart festival costume has the effect of multiplying the dynamism and excitement of the festival by the use of colorful lighting and it has been evaluated that the experience of wearing traditional costume of both countries contributes greatly to promote international cultural exchange. However, since smart clothing is inconvenient to wear due to the use of electronic products, meticulous research for consumer safety is required for practical use. Smart devices is expected to utilize for the development of traditional culture resources and the fashion industry in the future.

Dunhuang murals are one of the most outstanding achievements in the art of traditional grotto painting in China, and are known as a "Wall Museum". As a representative of the heyday of Dunhuang murals, an in-depth exploration of Dunhuang murals from the perspective of color will help researchers understand the laws and connotations of color in Dunhuang murals during the Tang Dynasty and fully grasp the art of Dunhuang murals. The color system of the traditional Chinese "Five colors" concept expresses the cultural attributes and emotions of the Chinese people and has distinctive national characteristics. This thesis provides a theoretical grasp of the traditional Chinese "Five colors" view of color system, the Dunhuang murals of the Tang Dynasty, and the color configuration of the color composition principles, and uses the modern design principles of color composition to conduct an in-depth analysis of the configuration of the Dunhuang murals' use of color. Explore the unique characteristics of Tang Dynasty Dunhuang murals, and help modern designers master richer color application techniques by learning from and studying the harmonious patterns of Dunhuang murals to provide a new path for the dissemination of excellent Chinese traditional culture.

The purpose of study is to survey the system of the Korean Gangsin-mu shaman costume and its formative character and to fine out the traditional follow patterns of government officials' attires and Po's meaning of it. The overall shape of variety 'Po's in modern times are similar to the traditional ones, but they differ greatly in size, detail color, and ornamental design. The sleeves have slits in the armholes, which can allow the hands to be drawn out easily. In addition, the knot buttons are used in the modern costumes. They are based on different formation skills from those of the traditional The original color of the shaman's costume is not their taste in color but symbolic, modern costumes color show the shaman's taste in color. This change mean a more accentuated visual effect than incantatory meaning. Another reason for color change is also the costume's material. A kind of constituent element uses synthetic fiber in modern times.

Many plant species are used in China in traditional medicine for the prevention and treatment of cancer. This paper presents some of these species with details on other pharmacologic evaluation and its traditional Chinese meditional uses. The known bioaktivities and some chemical constituents of each of the species given. Information on bioactivities of each species resulting from tests on experimental animals are given. Many of the known chemical constituents of each species are given. Various species of plants elective for various types. Objectives : We propose a method for constructing a thesaurus of Traditional East Asian Medicine terminology using machine learning. Methods : We presented a method of combining the 'Automatic Step' which uses machine learning and the 'Manual Step' which is the operator's review process. By applying this method to the sample data, we constructed a simple thesaurus and examined the results. Results : Out of the 17,874 sample data, a thesaurus was constructed targeting 749 terminologies. 200 candidate groups were derived in the automatic step, from which 79 synonym groups were derived in the manual step. Conclusions : The proposed method in this study will likely save resources required in constructing a thesaurus.
