Characteristic of cultivating theory in fables of Sam Guk Yu Sa(三國遺事; The Heritage of the Three States) reflected to "Experience-Learning" theory - In the central figure of Three Fables with Naksan temple, Bunhwang temple, and Geumsan temple ('경험-학습' 이론에 비추어 본 『삼국유사』 설화의 수양론적 특징 - 낙산사·분황사·금산사에 얽힌 세 설화를 중심으로 -)

  • Buddhism have affected Korea traditional education very much. Sam Guk Yu Sa is a book which includes the public disposition grounded on world view of Buddhism. In the wide scope, the public disposition relates to their cultivating education. This paper reviewed cultivating education grounded on John Dewey "experience-learning" model about the Buddhistic public disposition appearing in Sam Guk Yu Sa. "Meaning-experience" as "adult-becoming" appearing in Sam Guk Yu Sa shows a strong characteristic of cultivating education when we see on a creative horizon in the Buddhistic world. Dewey-Deleuze's cultivating education which modernizes the theory of John Dewey meets at the place of the public disposition and three fables of Sam Guk Yu Sa grounded on the Buddhistic world. This could open possibility to interpret the cultivating theory of Korea traditional thought and western educational theory with interdigitation. Fables of Sam Guk Yu Sa dealt with growth and maturity of the public from Buddhist monk to folk wishes to achieve Bulgukto(佛國土; the land with Buddha) through the process of cultivating education which leads to "impulse-observation-knowledge-determination." In these series of process for "adult-becoming," life itself possesses characteristic of cultivating theory. In this respect, fables of Sam Guk Yu Sa shows Korea traditional cultivating theory and can be a role of a discourse book for cultivating educational theory which could relate to western educational theory.

  • By now, we have been analysing the resistance values on 3 dimensional structure using experimental statical method or theoretical modeling, while devices miniaturizing reveals the limitation of the traditional methods to calculate 3 dimensional resistance. In addition, 2 dimensional analysing can not produce 3 dimensional characteristic following miniaturizing. To solve the limitations , we must do high level modeling of semi-conductor process. In this thesis, we analyzed the Laplace equation that is the basic and important for 3 dimensional structure resistance with computer simulation method and on the basis of this, analyzed the characteristic of resistance of 3 dimensional structure communication semiconductor device.

  • In this paper, we consider the handling f a flexible object using dual-arm manipulators. We choose both the side arms as rigid, and the objects to be manipulated as flexible. Our purpose is to realize position control for the flexible object while suppressing its vibration. In particular, the problem taken up here is the stability of the control system while manipulating the object. We propose that the traditional approach to investigate the robot system be expanded to include the object's characteristics (thus transferring the stability of the robot system into the full assembly system). We define a handling characteristic while manipulating the object. Finally, the relationship between the handling characteristic and the positional constraint condition in the hold position of the arms is studied while considering the stability of the control system.

  • This paper presents neural network-based recognition system for automatic light emitting diode (LED) inspection. The back-propagation neural network (BPNN) is proposed and tested. The current-voltage (I-V) characteristic data of LED from the inspection process is used for the network training and testing. This study selects 300 random samples as network training and employs 100 samples as network testing. The experimental results show that if the classification work is done well, the accuracy of recognition is 100%, and the testing speed of the proposed recognition system is almost one half faster than the traditional inspection system does. The proposed neural-network approach is successfully demonstrated by real data sets and can be effectively developed as a recognition system for a practical application purpose.

  • In order to construct the extrusion die surface of arbitrarily shaped sections, an automatic surface construction method based on NURBS surface and area mapping method is proposed in the present work. In the present study, a center point for area mapping is determined by introducing the marring concept based on constant area proportionality between original billet and final product. The characteristic points of inlet profile is determined using the traditional area mapping method and the root finding numerical method. The inlet and outlet profiles are precisely described with NURBS curves using the characteristic points of entry and exit sections. For the construction of NURBS surface, an interpolation method for the pre-determined two section curves has been developed to be used in the generation of interior control points and weights. To show the validity of the proposed method, automatic die surface generation is carried out for the several kinds of shaped sections.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristic and image of oriental costume designs which represented among three countries, Korea, China and Japan. The specific objectives were: 1) to find out the positioning of oriental costume design. 2) to find out relation to oriental costume image and preference. The stimulus were 75 costume designs of contemporary costume which represented the traditional images of three countries Korea, China and Japan. The main survey of questionary consisted of their evaluation of the oriental costume image by 26 semantic differential bi-polar scales and the subjects were 99 female students majoring in clothing and textile. The data were analyzed by Multidimensional Scaling Method and Regression Analysis. The specific objective were as follows: 1. According to image positioning. The oriental costume design was classified by simple-decorative, soft-hard. 2. As result of regression analysis. The preference of oriental costume image was related to attractive factor.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristic of planning of Living-Hanok which bases on inherited and developed traditional lifestyle in Jeon-Nam province. After that arranged the characteristic in order which was divided by 9 items such as pattern of developed Hanok, type of floor plan, structure, pattern of using inside space, number of bedroom, the exist of private bathroom in the each bedroom or not, number of bathroom, the exist of storage space in the house or not, style of entrance and the exist of Utility Room or not. Additional, there was interview with resident who have been lived in Living-Hanok since after completion due to investigate resident's concerning of the Hanok. As a result, the last goal of analyze and interview is to presentation of more developed planing factors for Living-Hanok.

  • Traditional control systems that consist of sensors, actuators and a controller centralized and connected with point-to-point links, have become distributed because of their performance limits and maintenance problems. Sensors and actuators are changed to smart devices having a processor and these devices and controllers are connected with fieldbuses such as Profibus, FIP, CAN, LonWorks and so on. Because they are distributed, it takes any delay to transmit data from sensor to controller and data from controller to actuator according to network characteristic. Also, the execution times of tasks in a node are not regular and depend on the node characteristic and the number of tasks and so on...

  • The ever increasing demands for enhanced competitiveness of engineered products require a "designing-in-quality" strategy that can effectively and efficiently incorporate multiple design objectives into design. Robust design can be viewed as a multi-characteristic design problem requiring tradeoffs between mean and variance characteristics. Firstly this paper analyzes the intrinsic preference of the traditional SN ratio on mean and variance, and secondly presents a new design metric for a robust design using concepts from utility theory to accurately capture designer′s intent and preference on mean and variance. The steps to apply the proposed design metric as the robust design criterion in an orthogonal array based engineering experimentation is presented with the aid of a demonstrative case study. The performance of the proposed design metric is tested, and the results are discussed.
