  • Recently international trade environment has been rapidly changed according to information age. In particular, international trade has been carried out with various ways under the digital revolution. In this regard, the companies are handling their business with the open network internet and doing their critical marketing activities which are very different from the existed trade customs. However, trade-related information database which is necessary to import and export activities is partly built, and there are many issues to be settled down. In other words, electronic trade opportunity website in the field of overseas marketing and customs clearance with EDI(electronic data interchange) are developed, but the database which companies can make use of their businesses is not fully supported. Therefore the structured database should be developed urgently from the stage of opening business to that of payment. This study closely analyzes the databases under the trade procedure, look into the problems of those database and suggest the solutions of trade information databases. Finally this study provides a sort of trade infrastructure for the development of international trade by internet through the building of trade information.

  • Our eyewear industry, the recent growing its position has been weakened because of Chinese low labor costs, Japanese quality and technology and Italian excellent design, brand and marketing. Investigate the recent trend for the trade balance of China and Italia, the largest importer of the eyewear market in Korea. Sunglasses are the most vulnerable sectors of the eyeglasses industry in Korea. Continued investment and attention is needed to the eyewear design for the improvement of the trade balance.

  • Many numerical computations in science and engineering can only be solved approximately since the available infomation is partial. For instance, for problems defined ona space of functions, information about f is typically provided by few function values, $N(f) = [f(x_1), f(x_2), \ldots, f(x_n)]$. Knwing N(f), the solution is approximated by a numerical method. The error between the true and the approximate solutions can be reduced by acquiring more information. However, this increases the cost. Hence there is a trade-off between the error and the cost.

  • Depending on applications where transmission bandwidth, wire distance, power consumption and EMI environments vary, design trade-offs must be made to optimize the display interface. After introducing the digital display interface architecture, topics such as cost, EMI, signal integrity, scalability and content protection are discussed with available techniques. Implementation issues are discussed regarding their cost and design complexity. Existing standards are reviewed and comparison on their strengths and shortcomings are discussed.

  • Characteristics of dark image retention and address discharge time lag were investigated simultaneously. It was found that reset waveforms with low black luminance did not guarantee lower image retention. Improved address discharge time lag due to modified reset waveforms similarly did not show improved image retention. The address discharge time lag and the image retention are in a trade-off relation.

  • Both PM-OLEDs and AM-OLEDs are now in production. However, manufacturers are still concerned about life-time, voltage drift, operating voltage and efficiency in order to develop larger displays. Most material suppliers seem to be focussing on emitters and the benefits of introducing suitable charge transporters have been largely unexplored. OLED-T has developed a novel organic electron injector (Trade Name: EI-101) which evaporates at a very low temperature of $300^{\circ}C$ as opposed to the conventional LiF which requires $580^{\circ}C$. EI-101 has been found to increase the lifetime by up to 12%, reduce the voltage drift by up to 61% and increase the efficiency by up to 15%. The material can be handled in air and in situ Q-mass spectroscopy on extended thermal evaporation has confirmed its high stability for use in mass production.

Low-Molecular-Weight White Organic-Light-Emitting-Devices using Direct Color Mixing Method

  • In order to achieve white emission from organic light emitting devices (OLEDs), five distinct structures were fabricated and tested. The white emission was obtained using two different color-emitting materials (yellow from rubrene-doped $Alq_3$ and blue from DPVBi) with or without a carrier-blocking layer. For enhancing the red emission, two types of devices with three-color emitting materials were fabricated. The white emission, close to the CIE coordinate of (0.3,0.3), was achieved by using two blocking layers as well that as without a blocking layer. This paper covers the subject of controlling the location of exciton recombination zone. It has been found that there is a trade-off in that the devices with three color emitting layers do not show as much luminescence efficiency compared to those with two color emitting layers, but rather, show distinct red emission in the resultant emission spectra. The highest power efficiency was measured to be 1.15lm/W at 2,000 $cd/m^2$ for a structure with two color-emitting layers.
