  • Multi-target tracking based on the detector is a very hot and important research topic in target tracking. It mainly includes two closely related processes, namely target detection and target tracking. Where target detection is responsible for detecting the exact position of the target, while target tracking monitors the temporal and spatial changes of the target. With the improvement of the detector, the tracking performance has reached a new level. The problem that always exists in the research of target tracking is the problem that occurs again after the target is occluded during tracking. Based on this question, this paper proposes a DeepSORT model based on SIFT features to improve ship tracking. Unlike previous feature extraction networks, SIFT algorithm does not require the characteristics of pre-training learning objectives and can be used in ship tracking quickly. At the same time, we improve and test the matching method of our model to find a balance between tracking accuracy and tracking speed. Experiments show that the model can get more ideal results.

  • This paper deals with a tracking problem for nonlinear systems using its T-S fuzzy model and internal model. We extend the internal model of linear systems to an internal model of T-S fuzzy systems to accompany with state error of zero. A sufficient condition of the existence of a tracking controller for T-S fuzzy systems is expressed by linear matrix inequalities. A system of inverted pendulum on cart is illustrated to verify our method.

  • Recently, in the field of industrial servo-systems, several methods have been proposed for tracking the reference input fastly and finely without overshoot. These methods, however, are established under hypothesis that structure and parameters of the plant are known accurately and they are time invariant. In practice, it is difficult to obtain the values of plant's parameters accurately and usually plants change with time and operation conditions. In this paper a method to construct the nominal model tracking adaptive control system is proposed. The system is composed of the nomial model which produces a ideal response and the model tracking system with the fuzzy adaptive controller. If the actual plant is equal to the controlled object in the nominal model, the output of the plant is the same as that of the nominal model and the fuzzy adaptive controller becomes idle. However, when the plant changes, the fuzzy adaptive controller of the tracking system operates in order for the output of the plant to track the ideal response. Through the computer simulations under various conditions, it is confirmed that the proposed model tracking system is very effective.

  • We present an efficient and robust measurement model for visual tracking. This approach builds on and extends work on subspace representations of measurement model. Subspace-based tracking algorithms have been introduced to visual tracking literature for a decade and show considerable tracking performance due to its robustness in matching. However the measures used in their measurement models are often restricted to few approaches. We propose a novel measure of object matching using Angle In Feature Space, which aims to improve the discriminability of matching in subspace. Therefore, our tracking algorithm can distinguish target from similar background clutters which often cause erroneous drift by conventional Distance From Feature Space measure. Experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed tracking algorithm under severe cluttered background.

  • This paper presents a design scheme of torque control for wheeled mobile robot(WMR) to asymptotically track the target reference trajectory. By considering the kinematic model of WMR, trajectory tracking control generates the desired tracking trajectory, which is transformed into the command velocity vector for the real WMR to track the target reference trajectory. The dynamic equation of the state error between the target reference trajectory and the desired tracking trajectory is represented by Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model, and this model is used as the reference model for the real mobile robot error dynamics to follow. The control parameters are updated by adaptive laws that are designed for the error states of the real WMR to asymptotically follow the states of reference error model for the desired tracking trajectory. The proposed control is applied to a typical wheeled mobile robot and simulation studies are carried out to verify the validity and effectiveness of the control scheme.

  • This paper proposes an input-constrained reference tracking control of a converter model. To this end, first it is shown that the bilinear converter model can be equivalently represented by a linear uncertain model belonging to a polytopic set. Then, an input-constrained tracking control scheme for the linear uncertain model is designed based on recently proposed tracking control scheme. The control scheme yields not only a stabilizing control gain but also a feasible and invariant set for the converter model. Finally, simulation results show that the state trajectory always stays in the feasible and invariant set and that the output tracks the given reference while satisfying the input constraint.

  • This paper presents a target model update scheme for the mean-shift tracking with background weighted histogram. In the scheme, the target candidate histogram is corrected by considering the back-projection weight of each pixel in the kernel after the best target candidate in the current frame image is chosen. In each frame, the target model is updated by the weighted average of the current target model and the corrected target candidate. We compared our target model update scheme with the previous ones by applying several test sequences. The experimental results showed that the object tracking accuracy was greatly improved by using the proposed scheme.

  • Motion tracking and object segmentation are the most fundamental and critical problems in vision tasks such as motion analysis. An active contour model, snake, was developed as a useful segmenting and tracking tool for rigid or non-rigid objects. In this paper, the development of new snake model called 'adaptive color snake model (ACSM)' for segmentation and tracking is introduced. The simple operation makes the algorithm runs in real-time. For robust tracking, the condensation algorithm was adopted to control the parameters of ACSM. The effectiveness of the ACSM is verified by appropriate simulations and experiments.

  • The tracking pattern formed on the dielectric surface due to a surface electrical discharge exhibits fractal structure. In order to quantitatively investigate the fractal characteristics of the surface tracking pattern, the dielectric breakdown model has been employed to numerically generate the surface tracking pattern. In dielectric breakdown model, the pattern growth is determined stochastically by a probability function depending on the local electric potential difference. For the computation of the electric potential for all points of the lattice, a two-dimensional discrete Laplace equation is solved by mean of the successive over-relaxation method combined to the Gauss-Seidel method. The box counting method has been used to calculate the fractal dimensions of the simulated patterns with various exponent $\eta$ and breakdown voltage $\phi_b$. As a result of the simulation, it is found that the fractal nature of the surface tracking pattern depends strongly on $\eta$ and $\phi_b$.

  • In radar tracking, since the sensor measures range, azimuth and elevation angle of a target, the measurement equation is nonlinear and the extended Kalman filter (EKF) is applied to nonlinear estimation. The conventional EKF has been widely used as a nonlinear filter for radar tracking, but the considerably large measurement error due to the linearization of nonlinear function in highly nonlinear situations may deteriorate the performance of the EKF To solve this problem, a fuzzy-model-based Kalman filter (FMBKF) is proposed for radar tracking. The FMBKF uses a local model approximation based on a TS fuzzy model instead of a Jacobian matrix to linearize nonlinear measurement equation. The hybrid GA and RLS method is used to identify the premise and the consequent parameters and the rule numbers of this TS fuzzy model. In two-dimensional radar tracking problem, the proposed method is compared with the conventional EKF.
