Statistical analysis of Anomalous Refraction on KVN sites

  • The fluctuation of VLBI visibility phase can be occurred, predominantly caused by the irregular distribution and motion of water vapor in the atmosphere at high frequencies (>1GHz). This radio-seeing effect shows up on filled-aperture telescopes as an anomalous refraction (AR). This can be shown as if the antenna pointing-offset increases, in other words the apparent displacement of radio sources from its nominal position happens. We carried out the single-dish observations on KVN sites in order to check the effect of AR from 2010 to 2014. Orion KL, U Her, and R Leo were observed with 1second sampling time at 22.235GHz and 43.122GHz simultaneously. Each source was observed with the tracking mode for 30 minutes per a source. We analyzed the structure function, power spectrum and Allan variance of the data according to a day and a night, a season and observatories. Finally, we can infer that the AR effect depends on the atmospheric environment, especially tropospheric turbulence.

  • In this paper the situation requiring emergency rescue team from the endangered person, using the structure of the signal with a transmitter that provides the service. Given real-time map information based on a directional antenna to the transmitter of the received value, and moving the location of the forecast to move the tracker to the location of the transponder, the algorithm offers. Location tracking algorithm implemented in the simulator to actually do the verification report which will show whether the performance of the show.

  • Position and trajectory data in-flight rocket are important informations to determine flight safety of rocket. In general tracking system, radar and transponder are used to acquire position information. Rocket position and trajectory can be determined by RF communication between ground station and in-flight rocket, and antenna position date. In this paper, it explains the ranging system which is low resolution rather than radar system but system configuration is simple. Therefore this system is useful for experimental flight vehicle.

  • In recent years, the smart card is widely applied for wireless communication, tracking, transportation logistics, diagnostic monitoring, access control and security. RF-ID system is universally applicable. Passive RF-ID system consists of reader and passive tag. The reader transmits energy and simple information to a tag by wireless and the power from the reader is transformed for controller, FRAM and Bluetooth module. In this paper, proposed for the improvement of wireless power transmission and demonstrated the propriety through experiments in several conditions.

  • In this paper, the beacon signals of WiFi doppler frequency detection based WiFi-AP was designed with the subcarrier between a transmitter and a receiver of WLAN(wireless LAN). We can use such signals to identify human moving as an antenna array and tracking of RF beam. This wireless security services with the combination of WiFi doppler frequency and adaptive beacon time signal was proposed for wireless detection and motion based services.

  • 본 논문은 고정형 안테나를 이용한 원격 추적시스템에 필터구성과 모터제어기술을 적용하여 기존 원격 추적시스템에 비해 정확한 위치 추적율을 갖는 시스템 신뢰성을 확보에 목적을 갖는다. 세부적으로 정확한 위치 추적율로 인해 기존 사람에 의한 위치 추적에서 무인 원격 추적시스템을 구성하여 연구자가 연구하고자 하는 대상의 위치 추적이 가능하다. 수신기에서 발송되는 CW변조방식의 송신데이터를 양자화한 후 절대값을 취해 최대전계강도를 검출한다. 이 과정에서 발생되는 노이즈 제거를 위한 필터 구성과 필터를 통과한 신호의 최대 전계강도 추적을 위한 모터 제어기술 방식을 제안한다. 따라서 본 논문에서 제안된 신호를 수신하기 위한 ABS회로 및 필터기술을 통한 내역은 PISM을 이용한 시뮬레이션과 실제 환경조건을 갖는 실험을 통해 제안된 알고리즘의 타당성과 우수성을 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, we present a signal processing algorithm for a marine radar system, in which the evaluation of probability of collision as well as target detection and tracking are performed. Moreover, the digital signal processor that implements the algorithm is proposed. As simulation environment, a mechanically scanning antenna utilizing FMCW signal is used, conducting the beamforming operation with 1 degrees intervals. Test board consists of DSP chips and FPGA, which enable the implemented system to operate in real-time.

  • One of the fastest-growing mobile services accessible today is mobile payments. For the safety of this service, the Near Field Communication (NFC) technology is used. However, NFC standard protocol has prioritized transmission rate over authentication feature due to the proximity of communicated devices. Unfortunately, an adversary can exploit this vulnerability with an antenna that can eavesdrop or alter the exchanged messages between NFC-enabled devices. Many researchers have proposed authentication methods for NFC connections to mitigate this challenge. However, the security and privacy of payment transactions remain insufficient. We offer a privacy-preserving, anonymity-based, safe, and efficient authentication protocol to protect users from tracking and replay attacks to guarantee secure transactions. To improve transaction security and, more importantly, to make our protocol lightweight while ensuring privacy, the proposed protocol employs a secure offline session key generation mechanism. Formal security verification is performed to assess the proposed protocol's security strength. When comparing the performance of current protocols, the suggested protocol outperforms the others.

  • An airborne radar is an essential aviation electronic system of the aircraft to perform various missions in all weather environments. This paper presents the design, development, and test results of the multi-mode pulsed Doppler radar system test model for helicopter-borne flight test. This radar system consists of 4 LRU units, which include ANTU(Antenna Unit), TRU(Tx Rx Unit), RSDU(Radar Signal & Data Processing Unit) and DISU(Display Unit). The developed technologies include the TACCAR processor, planar array antenna, TWTA transmitter, coherent I/Q detector, digital pulse compression, DSP based Doppler FFT filtering, adaptive CFAR, IMU, and tracking capability. The design performance of the developed radar system is verified through various helicopter-borne field tests including MTD (Moving Target Detector) capability for the Doppler compensation due to the moving platform motion.

  • In this paper, Kalman filter and RRWA algorithm are used to estimate the accurate target in IR-UWB (Impulse-Radio Ultra Wideband) radar system, which enables accurate location recognition of indoors and outdoors with low cost and low power consumption. In the signal reflected by the target, unnecessary signals exist in addition to the target signal. We have tried to remove unnecessary signals and to derive accurate target signals and improve performance. The location of the targets is estimated in real time with one transmitting antenna and one receiving antenna. The Kalman filter was used to remove the background noise and the RRWA algorithm was used to remove the reflected signal. In this paper, we think that it will be useful to study the accurate distance estimation and tracking in future target estimation.
