MR-EMR 복합공정에 의한 탄탈륨분말의 제조시 온도변화에 따른 분말의 특성 (Characteristics of Powder with Change of Temperature in Production of Tantalum Powder by MR-EMR Combination Process)

  • In the conventional metallothermic reduction (MR) process for obtaining tantalum powder in batch-type operation. it is difficult to control morphology and location of deposits. On the other hand, a electronically mediated reaction (EMR) process is capable to overcome these difficulties and has a merit of continuous process, but it has the defect that the reduction yield is poor. MR-EMR combination process is a method that is able to overcome demerits of MR and EMR process. In this study, a MR-EMR combination process has been applied to the production of tantalum powder by sodium reduction of $K_2$TaF$_{7}$. The total charge passed through external circuit and average particle size (FSSS) were increased with increasing reduction temperature. The proportion of fine particle (-325 mesh) was decreased with increasing reduction temperature. The yield was improved from 65% to 74% with increasing reduction temperature. Considering the charge, impurities, morphology, particle size and yield, an reduction temperature of 1,123 K was found to be optimum temperature for MR-EMR combination process.

  • In this study, tantalum powder has been producted by MR-EMR combination process. MR-EMR combination process is a method that is able to improve demerits of MR(metallothermic reduction) and EMR(electronically mediated reaction) process. This study examined the characteristics of powder with the amount of reductant excess using $K_2$TaF$_{7}$ as feed materials, Na as a reductant and KCl/KF as a diluent. In addition, this study examined acid treatment that affect the high purification of powder. The impurities contained in powder was removed in various conditions of acid treatment. The total charge passed through external circuit and average particle size(FSSS) were increased with increasing amount of sodium excess. The proportion of fine particle(-325mesh) was decreased with increasing amount of sodium excess. The yield was improved from 70% to 76% with increasing amount of sodium excess. Considering the impurities, charge, morphology, particle size and yield, an amount of sodium excess of 10wt% were found to be optimum conditions for MR-EMR combination process.s.

  • The amount of the Korean export & import in 1987 reached $88.3 billion which was 1.75% of the total world trade and the proportion of foreign dependence to G.N.P was 74.5%. From these facts, we can infer that the development of national economy is largely dependent upon trade. Therefore the role of transportation, especially Ocean transportation, as a basis of economic development through trade is one of the main factors that can not be passed over. Here, We can define that a port as a subsystem of transportation determines the efficiency of the total transportation system. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to contribute in improvement of the efficiency in port, reinforcement of the international competitiveness for exporting goods by the analysis of the cargo handling charges. In order to do this, this paper deals the case of B.C.T.O.C. Furthermore, this study gives some important informations related to the level of tariffs for establishing an autonomous port administration. The Summary of the conclusions of this paper is as follows ; 1) The object of port administration in Korea has been emphasized on the maximization of efficiency in using the port facilities. Nowadays, however, it should be moved to a direction that port is operated under the compound aims considering the public interests and economy. 2) For a criterian of tariff calculation, A tariff system based on the cost accounting is desirable. In general it is recommended that the cost for construction, management, and operation of port is compensated by the revenue from port operation. Therefore, it is necessary for the administration bodies of each port to establish a tariff system on the basis of the independent profit system. 3) For the investigation of actors of tariff adjustment by the Break-even point analysis, (1) When we conducted the B.E.P analysis using total cost as cost term, we got 3.8% discount in tariff at 12% of target profit rate and 1.5% discount at 15% of rate. when we set the target profit rate as 17% we could have the proper tariff level. (2) When using operating cost as cost term, we got 13.1% discount in tariff at 12% of target profit rate and 10.9% discount at 15% of rate. When setting the target profit rat as 28%, we could have the proper tariff level. 4) Comparing with the tariffs of foreign ports for the basic terminal rate, The tariff level of B.C.T.O.C showed 33% of stevedoring charge and 80% of marshalling charge incurred at Kobe port. The comparison with Singapore port gave 50% of transhipment charge and 17% - 20 % of stevedoring charge. 5) We found that the financial structure of B.C.T.O.C was better than those of other companies and the worth fixed assets ratio was too low. The fact of low worth fixed assets ratio implies that the cargo handling facilities should be increased. Moreover, The return of assets for B.T.T.O.C was good but non-operating expenses were still contained too much in. Therefore, we think that it is necessary for B.C.T.O.C. to rationalize business management. Although the present cargo handing charge for B.C.T.O.C is a proper level in terms of a public corporation, for the final recommendation in connection to the results, It is required to take the rationalization process for business management.

Diffusion of Chloride Ions in Limestone Powder Concrete

  • In this study, the diffusion of chloride ions in cement concrete made with and without the limestone powder was investigated. In order to study the effect of the limestone powder, all mixtures were prepared at a fixed water-cementitious ratio (0.45). From the experimental results, the setting time of limestone powder concrete is faster than that of control concrete, and compressive strength of all specimens decreased with increasing replacement ratio of limestone powders. The diffusion properties of limestone powder concretes indicated a trend increasing with curing period. LSA10 and LSA20 concretes, the diffusion coefficient was smaller than that of control concrete. The addition of $10-20\%$ limestone powder reduces the diffusion coefficient of chloride ions, irrespective of fineness levels of limestone powder.

  • When concrete structures are exposed to sulfate or marin environments, sulfate ions penetrated into concrete make it deteriorate. An accelerated test under potential difference method was performed to evaluate not only the sulfate ion diffusivity in ordinary portland cement and ground granulated blast-furnace slag cement concretes but the effect of slag replacement and water-cement ratio on the sulfate ions diffusivity. As the result of this study, we assumed the sulfate ion diffusivity was significantly related with total passed charge and initial current in concrete. Moreover sulfate ions penetration resistance of ordinary portland cement concrete was superior to that of ground granulated blast-furnace slag cement concrete.

재령에 따른 플라이 애쉬 콘크리트의 염소이온 확산특성 (Chloride Ion Diffusion Characteristics of Fly ash. Concrete with Age)

  • One of the major degradation processes of reinforced concrete (RC) structure is corrosion of reinforced steel due to chloride attack. Severe environments, such as marine environment and exposure to de-icing salts, could accelerate the steel corrosion of RC structures through the chloride ion intrusion into concrete. In order to delay this degradation process, several kinds of admixtures have been used in concrete mix. In this study, effective diffusion coefficient of chloride ion ($D_{eff}$) and total passed charge of concrete with and without fly ash were measured using electrical method. It is found that fly ash concrete has much less chloride ion coefficient than ordinary concrete at later age. By analyzing the test results, $D_{eff}$ at 28 and 90 days was obtained as a function of water-binder ratio (W/B) and an equation for predicting $D_{eff}$ with age was proposed considering the decreasing rate of $D_{eff}$.

광물질혼화재 종류별 고강도콘크리트의 압축강도 및 촉진 염소이온침투 특성 (Compressive Strength and Chloride Permeability of High Strength Concrete according to the Variety of Mineral Admixtures)

  • 최근 우리나라 건설업체들의 해외, 특히 동남아지역의 빈번한 진출에 따른 고속도로, 항만 및 해양콘크리트구조물 등의 건설수주물량이 크게 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 이와 같은 요구에 부응하기 위하여 4종류의 산업부산물을 콘크리트용 혼화재로 활용한 고강도콘크리트에 착안하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 광물질혼화재 4종류를 각각 조합한 고강도콘크리트 현장의 기후조건을 고려하여 양생온도 2종류와 양생조건 3종류씩 각각 변화시킨 총 22종류의 배합에 대하여, 고강도 강도 콘크리트의 기초물성과 염소이온 침투 저항성을 평가하기 위하여 응결 및 슬럼프, 압축강도, 공극량 및 ASTM C 1202 시험을 실시하였다. 본 연구결과, 고로슬래그미분말 혼합 고강도콘크리트의 혼합률에 관계없이 압축강도는 거의 비슷하였으나, 염소이온 총 통과전하량은 혼합률 40%에서 가장 작은 값을 나타내었다. 한편 G4FS 고강도콘크리트의 초기재령 압축강도는 가장 컸으나, G4F의 압축강도는 양생 온도 및 조건에 따라 상이하였으며, 재령 7일 이후 가장 크게 발현되었다. 한편, 고강도콘크리트의 총 통과전하량은 G4FS

공무원(公務員) 및 사립학교교직원(私立學校敎職員)의 건강진단(健康診斷)에서 나타난 결과(結果) (A Result on the Physical Checkup of Public Officials and School Personnel in Private Schools)

  • Korean Medical Insurance Cooperation executed the physical checkup intended for all the members of public officials, school personnel in private schools, and the insured as a national-wide event in 1980. This is the result of a part of Taegu district and its contiguous country this hospital took charge of. Physical checkup method was divided into the first health examination and tile second health examination. The second health examination was executed for those who needed reexamination according to the result of the first health examination. After that, we passed judgement on the result finally. The total number of the first health examination was 10,779; 4,606 in public officials, 2,327 in police constables, 3,976 in school personnel in private schools. The classification of physical checkup is as follows; A group: normal groups B group: those who do not require immediate medical care but require preventive measures or who are doubtful of disease or who had undetermined diagnosis (attention) C group: those who require immediate medical care but who are able to be on duty (simple recuperation) D group: those who require immediate medical treatment and recuperation (suspension from office and recuperation) Total B group to the in the first health examination was 4.73%, that of total C,D groups 2.21%. That of total C,D groups to the total in the first health examination by occupation was 2.30% in public officials, 2.19% in police constables, 2.04% in school personnel. Consequently there was no different among occupations. Total C,D groups of hypertension to the total in the first health examination was 1.68% and hypertension was 76.05% to all disease. These rates mentioned to above were higher than any other rate in disease. Subsequently, being low, the rate of diabetes was 15.54%. From the view point of age, the higher rate appeared in men and women over 35 years old of B group and over 45 years old of C,D groups in three occupations in comparison with other ages and the older men were, the higher men who took a disease were.

플라즈마 디스플레이 패널에서 부화면 시간동안 기입시간을 단축시키기 위한 수정된 구동파형 (Modified Driving Method for Reducing Address Time During Subfield Time in AC PDP)

  • 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널의 각 부화면 시간동안 기입 방전의 지연시간을 각각 조사하였고 오방전이 발생하지 않는 범위내에서 추가 주사전압의 높이를 다르게 인가하여 모든 부화면 시간동안 기입방전 지연시간을 단축시키기 위한 수정된 구동방법을 제시한다. AC PDP에서 첫번째 초기화 기간 동안 주사전극에 높은 상승 경사파 전압을 인가하여 약한 플라즈마 방전이 발생하고 셀 내부에서 프라이밍 입자와 벽전하 생성을 유도한다. 생성된 벽전하는 셀 내부 벽전압이 되므로 기입기간 중 기입전압과 더해져서 기입 방전을 일으킨다. 그러나 셀 내부의 벽전하는 시간이 지나면서 점차 소멸되므로 1 TV 프레임 시간 동안 각 부화면 시간동안 기입방전은 늦게 발생한다. 첫 번째 부화면 시간에는 초기화 기간 동안 상승 경사파를 갖는 높은 전압에 의해 벽전하가 많이 남아 있으므로 첫 번째 기입 방전은 다른 부화면 시간보다 빠르게 형성된다. 한편, 두 번째부터 마지막 부화면 시간까지의 기입 방전 생성시간은 셀 내의 벽전하 소멸에 의하여 점차적으로 늦어진다. 본 연구에서는 각 부화면 시간동안 기입방전의 시간지연을 조사하였고, 부화면 시간의 기입기간 마다 추가 주사전압을 다르게 인가하여 전체 기입방전지연시간을 단축시켰다.

1년 양생 조건의 Fly Ash를 혼입한 고성능 콘크리트의 시간의존적 염해저항성 평가 (Evaluation of Time-Dependent Chloride Resistance in HPC Containing Fly Ash Cured for 1 Year)

  • 철근콘크리트 구조물의 대표적인 열화현상인 염해를 억제하고자 여러 가지 연구가 진행되었는데, 그 중에서 혼화재료를 콘크리트에 혼입하여 사용하는 방법이 대표적으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 대표적인 콘크리트 혼화재료인 플라이애시를 혼입한 콘크리트와 OPC 콘크리트에 대하여 3가지 수준의 물-결합재비(37%, 42%, 47%)를 고려해 내구성능 평가를 실시하였다. 각 목표 재령일에서 Tang's method에 준하여 촉진 염화물 확산계수 측정 실험을, ASTM C 1202에 준하여 통과전하량 측정 실험을, KS F 2405에 준하여 압축강도 실험을 실시하였다. 또한, 기존의 연구결과인 재령 28일의 실험결과를 참고하여 확산계수에 대한 시간의존성지수(m)를 도출하여 고찰하였으며, 장기재령의 압축강도와 시간의존성지수 간의 상관관계를 평가하였다. 재령 49일부터 플라이애시 혼입 콘크리트에서 OPC 콘크리트 대비 개선된 염해저항성능을 나타내었으며 이는 포졸란 반응에 의해 생성된 불용성의 수화물이 원인으로 사료된다. 플라이애시 혼입 콘크리트에서 OPC 콘크리트 대비 약 1.5배 높은 시간의존성지수를 나타내었으며, 압축강도와의 상관관계 평가 결과, OPC 콘크리트는 압축강도가 증가할수록 선형적으로 시간의존성지수가 증가하는 경향을, 플라이애시 콘크리트는 압축강도가 증가할수록 선형적으로 시간의존성지수가 약간 감소하는 경향을 나타냈다.
