The purpose of this thesis is to analyse modem urbanization process and the morphological transformation of the urban tissues in Kunsan between the you 1899 and 2001, The method of this study is to investigate the transformation process of morphological elements such as plot structure, building layout, building facades, land use, exterior space structure and their use, with actual field surveys, the analysis of land registration maps in 1912, and various topological map. Morphological analysis on modern Kunsan is progressed by three steps-typo-morphological analysis of urban tissue in old-town area, interpretation of morphological process, and transformation process, of morphological structure in Japanese concession in view of plots system. As a result, it is found that there is cyclical relationship among the morphological transformation processes of morphological elements, plots, buildings, land-uses, and access space to buildings. From the view of town plan change, the period of restoration of war damage in 1950s and compressive growing period in 1960s have important meaning in the morphological process of old-town area. Particularly the first building plan and layout type together with plot form and structure is acted as the main factor to decide the subsequent plot transformation system, exterior space system and the particular streetscape in Kunsan.
Soengyo-jang has some characteristics as the most great house, the special functions, and the non-regional type of house form. And it has constructed continuously for two centuries by many owners in the different generations, It needs a special research method ; which are consist of a) comprehension of background information from documents and oral instructed materials, b) pursuit of design process through the building survey, and c) theoretical interpretation about 'collectivism'. From the results of this research, it is revealed that the architectural purpose of this house was constructing 'a great manor'. At first phase, it had been a single ordinary house, at second, it had expanded to a complex including many housing clusters, and finally became to expand its dwelling territory into whole village. Its expansion was progressed by the four collecting phases of which were building, building cluster, group of clusters, and topological setting. Main design elements operated in each of collecting phases ; they were partial element of , exterior spaces of , a linear building of , and a pavilion of . The last two elements were also powerful datum.
In this paper, we have proposed a testing methodology for Speed-Independent asynchronous control circuits using the self-checking property where the circuit detects certain classes of faults during normal operation. To exploit self-checking properties of Speed-Independent circuits, the Proposed methodology generates tests from the specification of the target circuit which describes the behavior of the circuit. The generated tests are applied to a fault-free and a faulty circuit, and target faults can be detected by the comparison of the outputs of the both circuits. For the purpose of efficient comparison, reachability information of the both circuits in the form of BDD's is used and operations are conducted by BDD manipulations. The identification for undetectable faults in testing is also used to increase efficiency of the proposed methodology. The proposed identification uses only topological information of the target circuit and reachability information of the good circuit which was generated in the course of preprocess. Experimental results show that high fault coverage is obtained for synthesized Speed-Independent circuits and the use of the identification process decreases the number of tests and execution time.
This study carried out simulation for structural layout design for concrete structures by using the models of the ground structure method. The micro lattice truss is modeled as assemblage of a number of unit cells. The progress of analysis repeat to undergo finite element analysis to feed-back results of stress to the stiffness of each member. Through the repeated this analysis, truss model is represented to form the topological materials and the structural shape with the use of the local stress condition without mathematical optimum tools. It is successful to analyse the shape-layout problem as numerical samples on the lattice truss model.

Poly(ethylene glycol) end-capped with pentafluorophenyl group(s) in ABA (FP-PEG-FP) and AB (mPEG-FP) types were prepared. Even though they were similar in composition, the lower critical solution temperature (LCST) of FP-PEG-FP was observed at $23^{\circ}C$, whereas that of mPEG-FP was observed at $65^{\circ}C$. To understand the large difference in solution behaviour of the two polymers, UV-VIS spectroscopy, microcalorimetry, 1H-NMR spectroscopy, and dynamic light scattering were used. FP-PEG-FP has two hydrophobic pentafluorophenyl groups at the ends of hydrophilic PEG (1000 Daltons), whereas mPEG-PF has a highly dynamic PEG (550 Daltons) block that are anchored to a hydrophobic pentafluorophenyl group. PF-PEG-PF not only has a smaller conformational degree of freedom than mPEG-PF but also can form extensive intermolecular aggregates, therefore, PF-PEG-PF exhibits a significantly lower LCST than mPEG-PF. This paper suggests that topological control is very important in designing a temperature-sensitive polymer.

The informations of ship structural design have been represented as the form various drawing plants, but to enhance the design productivity, it is necessary to utilize the advanced technologies such as CAD system and database management system. In this study, efforts are focused on the data modelling of those informations of midship configuration and attribute for the integration of ship structural design programs through database system. As actual example, midship configuration of bulk carrier was visualized by computer graphics. Relational data model is employed and topological informations is used for the best treatment of geometries representing structural arrangement. RDBMS 'ORACLE' was used for the implementation of the results.

The topological investigations regarding magnetic circuit geometry and winding form of the transverse flux machine have brought up a variety of constructable arrangements with different features for several types of application[1, 2]. Here with, a novel PM-exited linear motor with inner mover, based on the transverse flux configuration leads to a considerable increase in power density for moving part. In this study we designed PM-exited transverse flux linear motor for ropeless elevator, whose output power density is higher and weight is lighter than conventional linear synchronous motors. When the designed motor in this study is applied to ropeless elevator, it is possible to increase power density more than 400% comparing with PM exited linear synchronous motor. The result of this study can be utilized for ropeless elevator or gearless direct linear moving system with high output[3].
This essay questions and attempts to answer why and how Shakespeare set his plays in time and space other than his own England. Bakhtin's concept of chronotope as integrated time-space offers a model of establishing "a historical poetics." Shakespeare's chronotope has been either negated as mere names for transcendental ideas by universalists, or reduced to a "cover" for contemporary England by historicists. Refuting such either/or approach, this essay claims chronotopic dynamics of both/and as Shakespeare's intentional poetics of ambiguity. While Shakespeare clearly wants to build fictional chronotope distant from reality and does so through verbal repetition, character names, alternation of locales and speaking directly to the audience, he also brings in reality through the figure of clowns and the theatrical space of platea. Anachronism and topological errors ensuing from chronotopic collision register desire to produce multiple meanings. Shaped by historical forces such as Renaissance poetics, education, censorship and new geography, chronotopic form itself is a witness of historicity as much as the coded ideological messages New Historicists industriously delve out. Shakespeare's chronotopic dynamism offers the space for dialogue and appropriation to modern readers, a practice no less worthwhile than history lesson.
The composition of most engineering materials is heterogeneous at some degree. It is simply a question of scale at which the level of heterogeneity becomes apparent. In the case of cementitious granular materials such as concrete the heterogeneity appears at the mesoscale where it is comprised of aggregate particles, a hardened cement paste and voids. Since it is difficult to consider each separate particle in the topological description explicitly, numerical models of the meso-structure are normally confined to two-phase matrix particle composites in which only the larger inclusions are accounted for. 2-D and 3-D concrete blocks(Representative Volume Element, RVE) are used to simulating heterogeneous concrete meso-structures in the form of aggregates in the hardened mortar with nearly zero-thickness linear or planar interfaces. The numerical sensitivity of these meso-structures are Investigated with respect to the different morphologies of heterogeneity and the different level of coupling constant among fracture mode I, II and III. In addition, a numerically homogenized concrete block in 3-D using Hashin-Shtrikman variational bounds provides an evidence of the effective cracking paths which are quite different with those of heterogenous concrete block. However, their average force-displacement relationship show a pretty close match each other.
Background: Small-cell lung cancer (also known as SCLC) is an aggressive form and untreated patients generally die within about 3 months. To obtain further insight into mechanism underlying malignancy with this cancer, an miRNA synergistic regulatory network was constructed and analyzed in the present study. Method: A miRNA microarray dataset was downloaded from the NCBI GEO database (GSE27435). A total of 546 miRNAs were identified to be expressed in SCLC cells. Then a miRNA synergistic network was constructed, and the included miRNAs mapped to the network. Topology analysis was also performed to analyze the properties of the synergistic network. Consequently, we could identified constitutive modules. Further, common target genes of each module were identified with CFinder. Finally, enrichment analysis was performed for target genes. Results: In this study, a miRNA synergistic network with 464 miRNAs and 2981 edges was constructed. According to the topology analysis, the topological properties between the networks constructed by LC related miRNAs and LC unrelated miRNAs were significantly different. Moreover, a module cilque0 could be identified in our network using CFinder. The module included three miRNAs (hsa-let-7c, hsa-let-7b and hsa-let-7d). In addition, several genes were found which were predicted to be common targets of cilque0. The enrichment analysis demonstrated that these target genes were enriched in MAPK signaling pathways. Conclusions: Although limitations exist in the current data, the results uncovered here are important for understanding the key roles of miRNAs in SCLC. However, further validation is required since our results were based on microarray data derived from a small sample size.
