CANDU 사용후핵연료 처분 착수 시점에 관한 소고 (Some notes on the Timing of Geological Disposal of CANDU Spent Fuels)

  • CANDU 사용후핵연료는 핵분열성 핵종의 농도가 비교적 낮아 장기적인 관리 방법으로서 재활용보다는 직접 처분을 고려하고 있으나 처분 부지 확보가 어려워 중간저장 정책이 단기적으로 고려되고 있다. 이와 관련하여 중간저장시설의 운영기간과 최적의 처분 착수시기에 대한 검토가 필요하다. 처분시점의 결정 요인으로는 크게 안전성, 경제성, 수용성을 설정하였다. 안전성은 크게 붕괴열과 핵비확산성 측면에서, 경제성은 각 시설의 관리비용 측면에서, 수용성은 회수성 개념 및 세대 간 책임 윤리 측면으로 나누어 검토하였다. 본 논문에서는 처분시점 결정 요인 분석 결과를 바탕으로 3가지 대안을 비교하고 최적 안을 제시하였다. 중요한 핵심 내용으로는 기술적 측면과 안전성 측면에서는 처분 시점이 빠를수록 좋다는 것과, 최적 CANDU 사용후핵연료 처분시점으로서 2041년 경을 제안하였다.

디젤연소에 미치는 노즐 형상 및 분사시기의 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on Effects of the Nozzle Shape and Injection Timing in a Diesel Combustion)

  • The characteristics of engine performance with fuel injection system in D.I. diesel engine were studied in this paper. A fuel injection system has an important role in the performance and emission gas in a diesel engine. In this paper, an experimental study has been performed to verify the effect of the performance and the emission gas with the factors such as diameters of an injection nozzle hole, diameters of an injection pipe and injection timing in the fuel injection system. The authors have obtained the results that optimizing the factors of fuel injection system is significant to enhance the performance of the engine system and consumption ratio of fuel, smoke, and NOx.

The Examination of Subgroup-Sensitive Risks and Needs among Delinquent Adolescents in the US

  • While there is growing evidence regarding the subgroup-sensitive nature of risk factors among delinquent adolescents, researchers have paid little attention to the tracking of risks and needs by subgroups (e.g., gender, ethnicity, and the timing of onset for delinquency) among youth who are currently involved in the juvenile court system. Therefore, greater empirical attention directed toward subgroup-sensitive risk factors experienced by delinquent adolescents is thought to be both timely and necessary. A final convenience sample of 2167 court-involved adolescents in the US was used to specify subgroup-sensitive risks and needs. The results demonstrated that there were various levels of risks according to subgroups associated with gender, ethnicity, and onset for delinquency group. The findings of this study add to the extant literature on delinquency by demonstrating the importance of considering subgroups associated with gender, ethnicity, and the timing of onset for delinquency when practicing treatment or intervention programs with delinquent adolescents.

열병합발적용 Dual Fuel Engine의 질소산화물 배출저감에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reduction of $NO_x$ Emission from Dual Fuel Engine for Co-generation System)

  • This study shows the correlation between $NO_x$ emission in the exhaust gas and various operation factors of dual fuel engine for Co-generation system. General tendency was shown that the thermal efficiency was lowered by the change of operation factors. However these were not confirmed on this experiment. Increasing T4 temperature (exhaust gas temperature at turbo-charger inlet) reduces $NO_x$ emission rate. The higher T4 temperature requires lower excess air as the excess air ratio is controlled by T4 temperature on gas mode operation. Another tendency was that $NO_x$ emission rate is reduced in case of increasing boost air temperature, quantity of pilot oil or bypassing flue gas through the exhaust gas boiler. The diameter of the fuel injection nozzle was changed smaller than design value and the injection timing was readjusted. Thus $NO_x$ emission rate could be reduced as retarding injection timing and changing hole diameter of fuel injection nozzle, however maxium engine out-put was decreased by changing fuel nozzle on the diesel mode operation.

  • Recently, many researches have been performed to improve the performance of the combustion and emission in a D.I.Diesel engine. One of the main factors effect on the characteristics of combustion is the characteristic of air-fuel mixing. Thus, swirl flow has been used widely to improve the air-fuel mixing in a D.I.Diesel engine. Since this swirl flow has interaction with other factors, in this study, the characteristics of the combustion and the flame effected by the swirl flow generated by SCV was investigated. From this experiment, the interactions of the swirl flow and the injection timing made clear. In addition, the effects of swirl and injection timing on the diffusion flame were clarified.

  • A fuel injection system has an important role in the performance and emission gas in a diesel engine. In this paper, an experimental study has been performed to verify the effect of the performance and the emission gas with the factors such as diameters of an injection nozzle hole, diameters of an injection pipe, and injection timing in the fuel injection system. We have obtained the results that the fuel consumption ratio is reduced and NOx concentration is increased as the smaller diameter of injection nozz1e hole, the smaller diameter of injection pipe, and more advanced injection timing. They show that optimizing the factors of fuel injection system is significant to enhance the performance of the engine system and consumption ratio of fuel, smoke, and NOx.

  • In this paper a VLSI design for the automatic magnetizing system has been presented. This is the design of a peripheral controller, which magnetizes CRTs and computers monitors and controls the automatic inspection system. We implemented a programmable peripheral interface(PPI) circuit of the control and protocol module for the magnetizer controller by using a O.8um CMOS SOG(Sea of Gate) technology of ETRI. Most of the PPI functions has been confirmed. In the conventional method, the propagation/ramp delay model was used to predict the delay of cells, but used to model on only a single cell. Later, a modified "apos;Linear delay predict model"apos; was suggested in the LODECAP(LOgic Design Capture) by adding some factors to the prior model. But this has not a full model on the delay chain. In this paper a new "apos;delay predict equationapos;" for the design of the timing control block in PPI system has been suggested. We have described the detail method on a design of delay chain block according to the extracted equation and applied this method to the timing control block design.

Impact of Shift Work on the Eating Pattern, Physical Activity and Daytime Sleepiness Among Chilean Healthcare Workers

  • We evaluated the eating pattern, physical activity, and daytime sleepiness level in Chilean shift workers. Fifty, middle-aged adult health workers from a public hospital in Santiago, Chile, were included: a group undergoing shift work (shift workers, including at least one "night shift" and one "long day", n = 33), and day workers under traditional schedule (from 8:00 to 17:00h, n = 17). Body composition, physical activity, and daytime sleepiness levels, and diet characteristics (diet composition, meals' timing, and diet quality) were assessed. Despite similar total energy intake, shift worker showed lower carbohydrate (% of energy) and higher protein intake (both P < 0.01), decreased diet quality, an irregular eating pattern, and delayed meal timing (all P < 0.05). Physical activity and daytime sleepiness levels did not differ between groups. Findings from this first Chilean study in healthcare shift workers support the fact that meal timing and diet quality appear as critical factors for upcoming intervention studies in this group.

  • 자동차 공회전은 운전자의 운전 만족도에 여러 영향을 미친다. 또한 보다 높은 연료 경제성의 요구가 고조됨에 따라, 자동차 생산자들은 계속적으로 보다 나은 운전조건의 혜택에 관심을 갖는다. 스파크 점화기관의 공회전에서 기관의 안정성은 연소변동에 의해 좌우되며, 기관의 안정성은 연료분사시기, 점화시기, 그리고 공기연료비 등의 요소들에 영향을 받게 된다. 본 연구에서는 공회전에서 연료분사시기, 점화시기 그리고 공기연료비 등에 따라, 연소의 안정성과 변동율에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다.

공동주택 개발 사업의 분양시기 변동에 따른 수익성 비교.분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Profitability According to the Different Sales Timing in Apartment Housing Development Projects)

  • 본 연구는 공동주택 개발사업의 분양시기 변동에 따른 수익성 비교 분석을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 민간건설업체가 수행한 공동주택 사업인 중형주택($60m^2\sim85m^2$이하)과 대형주택($85m^2$초과)을 사례대상으로 선정하였다. 다음으로 사례대상의 공동주택 개발사업비용을 조사하고 분양시기 변동에 따른 수익성을 분석하였다. 상기와 같은 목적과 방법에 따라 진행된 본 연구의 결론을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공동주택 개발사업의 수익성에 미치는 영향요인은 분양시기, 분양대금 납부방법, 분양율 등인 것으로 조사되었다. 둘째, 후분양 시의 수익성 분석결과 정부가 추진 중인 공정율 80% 이후 분양의 경우 세 개 사례 모두 $4.4%\sim4.9%$의 수익률이 악화되는 것으로 분석되었다.
