This paper proposes a complete solution of a contention-based medium access control in wireless local networks to provide station level quality of service guarantees in both downstream and upstream directions. The solution, based on the mature distributed coordination function protocol, includes a new fixed contention window backoff scheme, a tuning procedure to derive the optimal parameters, a super mode to mitigate the downstream bottleneck at the access point, and a simple admission control algorithm. The proposed system guarantees that the probability of the delay bound violation is below a predefined threshold. In addition, high channel utilization can be achieved at the same time. The numerical results show that the system has advantages over the traditional binary exponential backoff scheme, including efficiency and easy configuration.

This paper describes a type test results of 154 kV transmission line arrester with external gap. The test was carried on surge arrester unit and line arrester with external gap, respectively. Withstand voltage test demonstrate the voltage withstand capability of the line arrester with external series gap under the dry and wet conditions. In insulation coordination test external series gap shall be discharged every time when lightning impulse voltage with the steepness of more than 1500 $kV/{\mu}s$ are applied under the wet condition.

This research investigates the supply chain contract between a distributor and a supplier in which the selling period is relatively short in comparison with long production lead time. At the first stage, supplier who is a Stackelberg leader offers the distributor a contract with a set of parameters, and subjected to those parameters, the distributor places the number of initial orders as well as options. In order to purchase the option, the distributor pays non-linear option premium price with respect to the number of purchased options. At the second stage, based on realized demand, the distributor has the right to exercise option as either put or call which is limited up to the number of purchased options. The wholesale price contract is used as a benchmarking contract. This research has confirmed that the supply chain contract with a non-linear option premium price can help to coordinate the supply chain.

Any ERP system pushes a company toward full process integration and solves the fragmentation of information. However, the tight process integration can propagate and magnify mistakes made in one department into the other departments in real time. Thus, it can be posited that a central support system for the coordination can help ERP users and administrators dig out problems, take care of tedious validation and verification, and maintain process integration of ERP with great consistency. This paper ,proposes an agent-based ERP operations support system (EOSS) that aims at achieving and maintaining process integration of ERP at the highest level possible. With EOSS, the process integrity is monitored, with anomalies prevented as early as possible and repaired as precisely as possible.

This study makes a general view of human-, natural environment, actual condition of use, management and administration of Sissinghurst castle garden and proposes the following directions for our model of herb industry, herb garden plan with the analysed results. 1) The location of herb garden should be selected at a place where Is close to scenic spots, sight-seeing place or big city and conveniently situated, 2) For the basic design of herb garden, the ecological features, human -, natural environment should be analysed and for the implementation of the plan, it should have variety and coordination to give the pleasure and appreciation to the users. 3) For the plan of herb garden, time limit system and number limit admission have to be introduced by calculating carrying capacity so that the user can have a comfortable atmosphere and the garden should be environment - friendly.

본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.11 규격을 기반으로 다중 홉 Ad Hoc 모드에서 비실시간 및 실시간 트래픽에 대한 통합 서비스를 지원하는 Wireless LAN을 구성할 때, 분산 방식으로 실시간 서비스의 우선권을 고려한 채널 액세스의 차별화를 제공할 수 있는 매체접근제어(Medium Access Control: MAC) 프로토콜의 구현 방안을 제안한다. 이를 위해 실시간과 비실시간 트래픽의 Contention Window (CW)를 서로 분리하며, 실시간 서비스의 지연 바운드에 따라 정해진 잔여 수명(residual time)을 우선권 설정에 반영함으로써 실시간 트래픽의 지연 요구 사항을 보장할 수 있도록 한다. 또한 실시간 트래픽의 부하에 따라서 적응적으로 offset 값을 조정함으로써 offset에 의해 발생될 수 있는 수율의 저하를 최소화한다. 제안된 방식은 기존 IEEE 802.11 MAC 규격의DCF (Distributed Coordination Function) 방식을 그대로 사용하면서 CSMA/CA 기반의 경쟁 방식을 통해서도 비실시간 트래픽과의 차별화가 가능하고, 또한 잔여 수명 시간을 고려한 동적인 우선권 할당이 가능하도록 하였다. 시뮬레이션에 의한 분석 결과에 따르면 기존 DCF와 비교할 때 실시간 단말의 용량을 2배까지 향상시킬 수 있으며, 트래픽 부하에 따라 적응적 제어를 통해 추가적인 성능 개선 효과를 확인하였다.

One of the most important requirements for the development of computerized relay setting system is its openness to accommodate the various changes like new panel additions. This paper describes the relay setting system(PROSET2000), which has an open system architecture and adopts the object oriented programming paradigm. Its main features include the intelligent fault type identification, automatic running of the short circuit analysis, run-time rulebase modification, automatic documentation, etc.

In this study the general pharmacological profiles of AS6 on the central nervous system, cardiovascular and the other organs were investigated. The dosages given were 0, 250, 500 and 1000 mg/kg and drugs were orally administered. The animals used for this study were mice, rats and guinea pigs. Significant increases (p<0.01) in the charcoal transport capacity were observed at the high dose of 1000 mg/kg and significant increases in retardation of pain threshold were observed in the test using acetic acid in all dosed animals. However, AS6 showed no noticeable effects on general behavior, motor coordination, spontaneous locomotor activity, hexobarbital-induced sleep time, body temperature, analgesic activity in the test using hot plate method and anticonvulsant activity. Furthermore no noticeable effects were observed in cardiovascular functions in the isolated rat heart, contraction and relaxation of the smooth muscle in the isolated guinea ileum, gastric secretion and renal function.

IEEE 802.11 WLAN(Wireless LAN)은 그 편리함과 효율성으로 인하여 수요의 증가 및 기술의 개발이 계속되고 있다. MAC(Medium Access Control)계층 중 기본적인 매체 접근 방식인 DCF(Distributed Coordination Function)는 CSMA/CA 알고리즘을 이용하여 충돌문제를 해결한다. 본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.11 MAC 계층 DCF 방식에서 스테이션간의 충돌확률을 줄이기 위하여 각 스테이션의 경쟁 윈도우 범위 사이에서 임의의 Backoff Time을 설정하는 것에 착안하여 최소 경쟁 윈도우(Minimum Contention Window)의 값이 성능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 분석한다.

Coordination isomers of cis-(N-N)Pt(Glu) prepared by reaction of cis-(N-N)Pt($SO_4$) (N-N=2$NH_3$, ethylenediamine(en),(R,R)-1,2-diaminocyclohexane (DACH), N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine (TMEDA)) with barium glutamate in water have been monitored and characterized by $^1H-NMR$, $^{13}C-NMR$, IR, and mass spectra. The reaction at room temperature affords the mixture of O,O'-and N, ${\alpha}$ O-chelated platinum(II) complexes. The O,O'-chelate initially formed isomerized to N,${\alpha}$O-chelate on standing for a long time or increasing temperature. The ratio of the two isomers at room temperature depends on the nature of the nitrogen donor coligand (N-N).
