반작용휠 속도측정방법의 오차 분석 (Error Analysis of Reaction Wheel Speed Detection Methods)

  • 반작용휠은 인공위성의 기동 및 자세제어에 사용되는 주요 구동기 중의 하나로 회전체의 속도를 변화시켜 발생하는 토크로 위성의 자세제어를 수행하므로 정밀한 자세제어를 위해서는 정확한 회전속도의 측정이 요구된다. 타코 펄스를 이용한 고속 회전모터의 대표적인 속도 측정방법에는 Elapsed-time측정방법과 Pulse-count측정방법의 두 가지가 있으며 이 연구에서는 반작용휠의 속도 측정을 하는 동안 발생할 수 있는 속도 측정의 오차 및 정밀도를 두 가지 방법에 대해 분석, 비교하였다. 그 결과 Pulse-count측정방법은 반작용휠의 등속 구동 시 회전속도에 상관없는 일정한 오차를 가지는데 비해 Elapsed-time측정방법은 회전속도가 작을수록 오차가 줄어드나 저속일 때 오차가 현저히 커질 수 있음을 해석적으로 확인하였다.

자율주행차 운영 환경하에서 통근자 출발시간 선택의 영향에 관한 연구 (Exploring the influence of commuter's variable departure time in autonomous driving car operation)

  • 자율주행택시, 자율주행셔틀과 같은 새로운 교통서비스들에 대한 연구들이 전 세계적으로 여러 도시들을 대상으로 진행 중이지만 대부분 현재 통행 수요는 출발시간이 고정적이라고 가정하고 기존 교통수단과 새로운 교통수단의 도입 효과를 분석한다. 본 연구는 자율주행기반 교통서비스 운영에서 통근자의 출발시간 조정에 따른 교통체계의 영향을 행위자기반 모형으로 분석하였다. 통행시간 선택에 대해 다양한 시나리오를 설정하였고 자율차를 수용할 수 있는 도로용량의 영향도 분석하였다. 분석결과 통근자가 원하는 출발시간에서 집에서의 활동종료시간과 출발시간이 상당히 조정된 후 시스템적으로 안정적인 통근통행이 완료되었으며, 또한 도로용량의 감소는 과도한 스케줄 조정에도 불구하고, 많은 통행자들이 9시 이전에 통근하기 어려운 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과를 통해 현재와 다른 교통운영과 교통가격정책이 필요성을 정책적 제언으로 제시하였다.

연령에 따른 비행시차 후의 수면-각성주기 변화 (The Changes of Sleep-Wake Cycle from Jet-Lag by Age)

  • Jet-lag can be defined as the cumulative physiological and psychological effects of rapid air travel across multiple time zones. Many reports have suggested that age-related changes in sleep reflect fundamental changes in the circadian system and in significant declines in slow wave sleep. Jet lag is a dramatic situation in which the changes of the phase of circadian process and homeostatic process of sleep occur. Thus the authors evaluatead the changes of sleep-wake cycle from jet lag by age. Thirty-eight healthy travellers were studied for 3 days before and 7 days after jet-flights across seven to ten time zone. They were aged 19-70, They trareled eastbound, Seoul to North America (USA, Canada). Sleep onset time, wake-up time, sleep latency, awakening frequency on night sleep, awakening duration on night sleep, sleepiness at wake-up and nap length were evaluated. Our results suggest that by the 7 to 10 time zone shift, the old age group was significantly influenced in sleep-wake cycles. The date on which subjective physical condition was recovered was $6.23{\pm}83$ day after arrivals for old age group, while for young and middle age group, $4.46{\pm}1.50$ day and $4.83{\pm}1.52$ day, respectively. In old age group, sleep onset time was later than baselines and could not recover untill 7th day. But in other groups, the recovery was within 5th day. Nap dura fion was longer in old age group through jet lag than younger age group. In other parameters, there was no definite difference among three age groups. Our results suggested that the old age was significantly influenced by the disharmony between internal body clock and sleep-wake cycle needed at the travel site. Thus we proved that recovery ability from jet lag was age-dependent as well as travelling direction-dependent. To demonstrate more definite evidence, EEG monitoring and staging of sleep were funthun encouraged.

램프-적분을 이용한 용량치-시간차 변환기 및 디지털 습도 조절기에의 응용 (A Capacitance Deviation-to-Time Interval Converter Based on Ramp-Integration and Its Application to a Digital Humidity Controller)

  • 새로운 램프-적분을 이용한 용량차-시간차 변환기를 제안했다. 제안된 회로는 상하대칭으로 두개의 전류 미러, 두 개의 슈미트 트리거, 그리고 제어 논리-회로로 구성된다. 전체 회로를 개별 소자들로 꾸며, 실험한 결과, 제안된 변환기의 센서 커패시터가 295㎊에서 375㎊까지의 커패시턴스 변화에서 1%보다 작은 시간간격(펄스 폭)의 선형 오차를 가진다는 것을 알았다. 제안된 변환기가 335㎊의 센서 커패시턴스를 가질 때, 측정된 용량차와 시간차는 각각 40㎊와 0.2ms이었다. 이 시간차를 빠르고 안정된 클럭으로 카운트함으로써 고 분해능을 제공한다는 것을 알았다. 새로운 램프-적분을 이용한 용량차-시간차변환기를 사용하여 디지털 습도 조절기를 설계하고 실험하였다. 제안된 회로는 전원 전압이나 온도 변화에도 불구하고 용량차에는 거의 영향을 받지 않는다. 또한, 제한된 회로는 적은 수의 MOS 소자로 실현되므로, 작은 칩 면적 위에 집적화 할 수 있는 특징을 갖는다. 따라서 이 회로는 온-칩(on-chip) 인터페이스 회로로 적합하다.

초산모를 위한 육아 교육이 어머니의 신생아 양육행동과 어머니 역할에 대한 자신감에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of a Childcare Education for First-time Mothers on Newborn Care Behavior and Confidence in Maternal Role)

  • The postpartum is a period of transition to motherhood where a childless woman transforms into a woman with children. Parents, especially mothers must perform an essential role of implementing instrumental and emotional care behaviors on part of the helpless, dependent, and immature infant. First-time mothers, however, suddenly face the responsibility of round the clock duty without neither parenting training during pregnancy, nor a time to gradually adapt to growing responsibilities after birth, with confusion and frustration as a result. Thus, after providing first-time mothers with childcare education as maternal role preparation, this study will try to examine its effects on childcare behaviors and confidence in maternal role during the early postpartum period. This quasi-experimental study using a nonequivalent control group non-synchronized design, was carried out from March 1995 to May 1996 to verify the effects of a childcare education program with first-time mothers who had vaginal delivery in Ewha University Hospital, Seoul, Korea, and collected data from 60 subjects who consented to the study. The education was given in the early postpartum period(48-72 hours after delivery) and to measure its effects, a posttest was done 4 weeks later with the results analyzed by SPSS shown in the following : 1. The childcare behavior score of the experimental group that had received the newborn care education was higher than the control group(t=3.5, P=.001). 2. The control group and the experimental group which had received the education showed no difference in degree of confidence in maternal role. 3. The higher the childcare behavior score, the higher the degree of confidence in maternal role was among the subjects(r=.56, P=.001). The preceding results are significant in that childcare practices can be promoted by providing child-care education to first-time mothers in the early postpartum period. Thus, this education can be used as a nursing intervention strategy in the early postpartum period.

WebCL 기반 애플리케이션의 성능 평가를 위한 프로파일러 설계 및 구현 (Profiler Design for Evaluating Performance of WebCL Applications)

  • 자바스크립트 상에서 높은 연산량을 처리하기 위해 제안된 WebCL은 불특정 클라이언트 환경에서 실행되므로 개별 클라이언트에서 애플리케이션의 성능 평가 작업이 중요하다. 현재 다양한 프로파일러들이 서비스 되고 있지만 WebCL을 위한 프로파일러는 아직 개발되어있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 웹 이기종 병렬컴퓨팅 언어인 WebCL 기반으로 구현된 애플리케이션의 성능 평가 및 GPU 상태 정보를 모니터링 하기 위한 프로파일러를 설계 및 구현하여 소개한다. 본 프로파일러를 통하여 사용자는 WebCL 기반 애플리케이션의 수행시간 및 메모리 읽기/쓰기 시간을 알 수 있고, GPU 디바이스의 소비 전력, 현재 온도, 클락 속도 등 현재 상태를 실시간 모니터링할 수 있다.

A Multi-Level Accumulation-Based Rectification Method and Its Circuit Implementation

  • Rectification is an essential procedure for simplifying the disparity extraction of stereo matching algorithms by removing vertical mismatches between left and right images. To support real-time stereo matching, studies have introduced several look-up table (LUT)- and computational logic (CL)-based rectification approaches. However, to support high-resolution images, the LUT-based approach requires considerable memory resources, and the CL-based approach requires numerous hardware resources for its circuit implementation. Thus, this paper proposes a multi-level accumulation-based rectification method as a simple CL-based method and its circuit implementation. The proposed method, which includes distortion correction, reduces addition operations by 29%, and removes multiplication operations by replacing the complex matrix computations and high-degree polynomial calculations of the conventional rectification with simple multi-level accumulations. The proposed rectification circuit can rectify $1,280{\times}720$ stereo images at a frame rate of 135 fps at a clock frequency of 125 MHz. Because the circuit is fully pipelined, it continuously generates a pair of left and right rectified pixels every cycle after 13-cycle latency plus initial image buffering time. Experimental results show that the proposed method requires significantly fewer hardware resources than the conventional method while the differences between the results of the proposed and conventional full rectifications are negligible.

남녀 근로자의 직업 관련 특성과 대사증후군 - 국민건강영양조사 자료를 이용하여 - (Association between Job-related Factors and Metabolic Syndrome among Male and Female Workers: Using the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey)

  • Purpose: This study is performed to help manage the metabolic syndrome in work place by identifying the effect on metabolic syndrome with subjects of Korean adult workers. Methods: Using part of data of "The Fourth Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination survey 2nd year (2008)" which center for disease control is investigating. The general characteristics include age, educational level, occupation and marital status as factors affecting the metabolic syndrome of workers in this study. Results: Work-related factors are the working environment in which they are working while they are pressed for time due to work status and overload. If the work status of worker is unpaid family member, the risk is increased by more than twice compared to paid workers. The risk for metabolic syndrome in work environment to work while fighting the clock is decreased compared to the work environment without time pressure. Conclusion: In order to manage the metabolic syndrome of workers, health promotion program to change management of both working condition and working environment can contribute to prevent the metabolic syndrome and ultimately prevent the cerebrocardiovascular diseases.

암호통신 응용을 위한 전압제어형 카오스 신호 발생회로 (Chaotic Circuit with Voltage Controllability for Secure Communication Applications)

  • 본 논문에서는 암호통신을 위한 전압 제어형 카오스 신호 발생회로를 설계하였다. 제안하는 회로는 3개의 MOS 소자로 이루어지는 비선형 함수 블록과 소스 팔로워를 버퍼로 하는 이산형 카오스 신호 발생회로로, 비겹침 2상 클럭으로 구동되며, 2개의 제어전압 단자를 가진다. 제안된 회로는 SPICE 모의실험을 통하여 시간특성, 주파수특성 및 분기도 등의 여러 가지 카오스 다이내믹스가 생성됨을 확인하였다.

Absolute Distance Measurements Using the Optical Comb of a Femtosecond Pulse Laser

  • We describe a new way of implementing absolute displacement measurements by exploiting the optical comb of a femtosecond pulse laser as a wavelength ruler, The optical comb is stabilized by locking both the repetition rate and the carrier offset frequency to an Rb clock of frequency standard. Multiwavelength interferometry is then performed using the quasi-monochromatic beams of well-defined generated wavelengths by tuning an external cavity laser diode consecutively to preselected light modes of the optical comb. This scheme of wavelength synthesizing allows the measurement of absolute distances with a high precision that is traceable to the definition of time. The achievable wavelength uncertainty is $1.9{\times}10^{-10}$, which allows the absolute heights of gauge blocks to be determined with an overall calibration uncertainty of 15 nm (k = 1). These results demonstrate a successful industrial application of an optical frequency synthesis employing a femtosecond laser, a technique that offers many possibilities for performing precision length metrology that is traceable to the well-defined international definition of time.
