Recently, with the development of three-dimensional scanning devices and multi-dimensional array cameras, research is continuously conducted on techniques for handling three-dimensional data in application fields such as AR (Augmented Reality) / VR (Virtual Reality) and autonomous traveling. In particular, in the AR / VR field, content that expresses 3D video as point data has appeared, but this requires a larger amount of data than conventional 2D images. Therefore, in order to serve 3D point cloud content to users, various technological developments such as highly efficient encoding / decoding and storage, transfer, etc. are required. In this paper, V-PCC bit stream created using V-PCC encoder proposed in MPEG-I (MPEG-Immersive) V-PCC (Video based Point Cloud Compression) group, It is defined by the MPEG-DASH (Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP) standard, and provides to be composed of segments. Also, in order to provide the user with the information of the 3D coordinate system, the depth information parameter of the signaling message is additionally defined. Then, we design a verification platform to verify the technology proposed in this paper, and confirm it in terms of the algorithm of the proposed technology.
Copper oxide thin films are deposited using an ultrasonic-assisted spray pyrolysis deposition (SPD) system. To investigate the effect of substrate temperature and incorporation of a chelating agent on the growth of copper oxide thin films, the structural and optical properites of the copper oxide thin films are analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emssion scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and UV-Vis spectrophotometry. At a temperature of less than $350^{\circ}C$, three-dimensional structures consisting of cube-shaped $Cu_2O$ are formed, while spherical small particles of the CuO phase are formed at a temperature higher than $400^{\circ}C$ due to a Volmer-Weber growth mode on the silicon substrate. As a chelating agent was added to the source solutions, two-dimensional $Cu_2O$ thin films are preferentially deposited at a temperature less than $300^{\circ}C$, and the CuO thin film is formed even at a temperature less than $350^{\circ}C$. Therefore the structure and crystalline phase of the copper oxide is shown to be controllable.

Reverse engineering involves duplicating a physical part by measuring and analyzing its physical dimensions, features, and material properties. By combining reverse engineering with three-dimensional (3D) printing, engineers can simply fabricate and evaluate functional prototypes. This design methodology has been attracting increasing interest with the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In the present study, we apply reverse engineering and 3D printing technologies to evaluate a fabricated automotive inner ring prototype. Through 3D printing, inner rings of various densities were prepared. Their physical dimensions were measured with a 3D scanning system. Of our interest was the effect of inner ring density on the physical dimensions of the fabricated prototype. We compared the design dimensions and physical dimensions of the fabricated prototypes. The results revealed that even the 20% density of inner ring was effective for 3D printing in terms of satisfying the design requirements.

Flow and aerodynamic characteristics were analyzed numerically for a commercial passenger airplane, Boeing 747-400, flying in the cruising condition. The model geometry with 100:1 in scale was obtained by the photo scanning measurement with the maximum error of 1.4% comparing with the real airplane dimension. The three-dimensional inviscid steady compressible governing equations were solved by the finite volume method in the unstructured grid system. The convective terms were treated by the Crank-Nicholson and first-order upwind schemes. In the computational results, the strong wing-tip vortices were clearly observed and the pressure contours on the airplane surface were suggested. The lift and drag forces in the wing with engines increase by 1.49% and 3.9%, respectively compared with the case without engines. The aerodynamic forces were estimated quantitatively for each element which consists of the airplane.

Photochemical and photothermal effects have correlation with each other and depend on laser wavelength. Multi-scanning laser ablation process of polymer with DPSS(Diode Pumped Solid State) 3rd harmonic Nd:YVO$_4$ laser with wavelength of 355nm is applied to fabricate three-dimensional micro shape. The DPSSL photomachining system can rapidly and cheaply fabricate 2D pattern or 3D shape with high efficiency because we only use CAD/CAM software and precision stages instead of complex projection mask. Photomachinability of polymer is highly influenced by laser wavelength and its own chemical structure. So the optical characteristics of polymers for 355nm laser source is investigated by experimentally and theoretically.

The geometry of a commercial passenger airplane is realized based on a Boeing 747-400 model through the photographic scanning and reverse engineering. The each element consisting of the plane such as fuselage, wing, vertical fin, stabilizer and engines, is individually generated and then the whole body is assembled by the photomodeler. The maximum error in the realized airplane is about 1.4% comparing with the real one. The three-dimensional inviscid steady compressible governing equations are solved in the unstructured tetrahedron grid system, and in a finite volume method using STAR-CD when the airplane flies at the cruise condition. The pressure distribution on the surface and the wing-tip vortices are visualized, and in addition to the aerodynamics coefficients, lift and drag are estimated.
For the direct metal shape processing the powder feed device which is different from the widely used in rapid prototyping. is developed, The three dimensional object is shaped with the melting metal powder. The developed research has applied to rapid prototyping in ultraprecision for MEMS and medical science fields required of rapid manufacture of complex shape. The goal of this study make 3D model which has precision accuracy. Powder spreading apparatus has been more improved because that the control of powder spread is very important in layer manufacturing. It consists of the vibration motor, nozzle and tube which supplies various metal powder. This apparatus could control the spreading velocity that could control powder spreading thickness. Laser on/off switch was adapted because laser scanning velocity must be preserved constantly to prevent heat transformation of laser overheating. The error between sintered thickness md experimental one occurred by shrinkage in sintering melting process. The problem of heat transformation was solved by On/Off switching system.

A prototyping process based on the technique of selective ${\CO_2}$ laser sintering has been carried out using bronze powder. The integration of a ${\CO_2}$ laser and a working table to create the opto-mechanical system has been constructed for making the multi-layer sintering. Three dimensional rapid prototyping process which has used the 40W ${\CO_2}$ laser and bronze powder has been investigated experimentally The optimal scanning method has been found to minimize the deflection and distortion by using the thermal strain method which the laser scans in the x and v directions repeatedly. The method of spreading powder has been improved by using the rubber knife of which the flexibility causes less wave of spreading powder.
Nondestructive testing, which can monitor a product's interior without disassembly, is becoming increasingly essential for industrial inspection. Computed laminography (CL) is widely used in this application, as it can reconstruct a product, such as a printed circuit board, into a three-dimensional (3D) high-magnification image using X-rays. However, such high-magnification scanning environments can be affected by minute vibrations of the CL device, which can generate motion artifacts in the 3D reconstructed image. Since such vibrations are irregular, geometric corrections must be performed at every scan. In this paper, we propose a geometry calibration method that can correct the geometric information of CL scans based on the image without using geometry calibration phantoms. The proposed method compares the projection and digitally reconstructed radiography images to measure the geometric error. To validate the proposed method, we used both numerical phantom images at various magnifications and images obtained from real industrial CL equipment. The experiment results confirmed that sharpness and contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) were improved.

The dimension measurement problem of products has been a major concern in the quality control in the industrial fields. A non-contacting measurement system using the vision sensor is proposed in this paper. The system consists of a CCD camera for the image capture, a frame grabber for the acquired image processing, a laser unit for the illumination, scanning unit for the measurement, and a personal computer for the geometry computation. The slit beam which is generated by passing the laser beam through a cylin- drical lens is fired to the axial-symmetric object on the rotating plate. The image of objects reflected by the laser slit beam, acquired by the CCD camera, becomes much brighter than the other parts of objects. After the histogram of brightness for the captured image is calculated, low intensity pixels are filtered out by threshold method. The performance of proposed measurement system is obtained for several different axial symmetric objects. The proposed system is verified as a good tool for measuring axial-symmetric parts in a limited condition with a minor investment cost.
