A Study on the Adaptive Model-Following Control Systems by Slide Mode (슬라이드 모우드를 이용한 모델추종 적응제어에 관한 연구)

  • This paper describes a new method for the design of adaptive model-following control systems. This design concept is developed using the theory of slide mode. Authors present new results on the sliding control methodology to achieve accurate tracking for a class of multi-input multi-output, time-varying systems in the presence of parameter variations and disturbances. This algorithm can be easily applied to the multivariable control systems and obtained a smoother control signal in comparison to variable structure model following control systems. The design technique is easy and the control structure is simple. The design requires little computational effort. The control system is less sensitive to plant parameter variations and noise disturbances.

Ferrography에 의한 마멸분 정량분석

  • In contacting between surface, there is wear and the generation of wear particles. The particles contained in the lubricating oil carry detailed and important information about the condition monitoring of the machine. Therefore, This paper was undertaken for Ferrography system of wear debris generated from lubricated moving machine surface. The lubricating wear test was performed under different experimental conditions using the Falex wear test of Pin and V-Block type by Ti(C,N) coated. It was shown from the test results that wear particle concentration(WPC) ; wear severity Index(IS) and size\distribution have come out all the higher value by increases sliding friction time. By the Ferrogram a thin leaf wear debris as well as ball and plate type wear particles was observed.

  • A robust end time optimal conかof strategy for dual-stage servo system is presented. The time optimal trajectory for a mass-damper system is determined and given os a reference input to the servo system. The feedback controller is constructed so that the fine stage tracks the coarse stage errors and robustly designed as the“perturbation compensated sliding mode control(PCSMC)”law, a combination of slid-ing mode controller(SMC) and perturbation observer(PO). In addition, a null motion controller which regulates the fine stage at its neutral position is designed based on the“dynamic consistency”So, the overall dual-stage servo system exhibits the robust and time-optimal performance. The inherent merit and performance of the dual-stage system will be shown.

  • In multi-purpose lathe, the design of tilting turret slide system has an important and critical role to enhance accuracy of the machining process. Tilting turret unit is traveled by 3-axis slide systems. There is a need to design this part very carefully. In this research, 3-axis sliding system with tilting turret is modeled by considering the element dividing, material properties, and boundary conditions using MSC/PATRAN. Mode and frequency analysis of each structures such as saddle, careg, and turret are simulated by MSC/NASTRAN, for the purpose of developing the effective design. The results of mode analysis and frequency analysis are visualized with PATRAN, and the mothod which can solve the resornance problem by eigenvalues and eigenvectors of each axe is developed as well.

  • An integrated dynamic control (IDCF) with an active front steering system and an active rear braking system is proposed and developed in this study. A fuzzy logic controller is applied to calculate the desired additional steering angle and desired slip of the rear inner wheel. To validate IDCF system, an eight degree of freedom, nonlinear vehicle model and a sliding mode wheel slip controller are also designed. Various road conditions are used to test the performance. The results show that the yaw rate of IDCF vehicle followed the reference yaw rate and reduced the body slip angle, compared with uncontrolled vehicle. Thus, the IDCF vehicle had enhanced lateral stability and controllability.

  • Wherever there are rotating equipment and contact between surface, there is wear and the generation of wear particles. The particles contained in the lubricating oil carry detailed and important information about the condition monitoring of the machine. This information may be deduced from particle shape, composition, size distribution, and concentration. Therefore, This paper was undertaken to Ferrography system of wear debris generated from lubricated moving machine surface. The lubricating wear test was performed under different experimental conditions using the Falex wear test of Pin and V-Block type by Ti(C, N) coated. It was shown from the test results that wear particle concentration (WPC) and wear severity Index( $I_{S}$), size distribution in normal and abnormal wear have come out all the higher value by increases sliding friction time. Wear shape is observed on the Ferrogram it was discovered a thin leaf wear debris as well as ball and plate type wear particles. This kind of large wear shape have an important effect not only metals damage, but also seizure phenomenon.

  • Since the plug type passenger door has two modes of motion, a power transmission unit must be capable of plug-in or plug-out mode, and sliding mode. Complex planetary gear train is proposed, which is composed of two 2K-H, I type planetary gear units. For the proposed complex planetary gear train, ranges of addendum modification coefficients which would not lead to interferences are analyzed, and optimal addendum modification coefficients among these ranges which generate the maximum efficiency are presented. Based on the results of analysis on interferences, efficiencies and torque ratios, the specifications for the complex planetary gear train were determined. It has been shown by tests of the complex planetary gear train manufactured that the gear train worked well with good agreements of analysis.

  • This paper addresses the behavior and strength of structural walls with a concrete compressive strength exceeding 69 MPa. This information also enhances the current database for improvement of design recommendations. The objectives of this investigation are to study the effect of axial-load ratio on seismic behavior of high-strength concrete flexural walls. An analysis has been carried out in order to assess the contribution of deformation components, i.e., flexural, diagonal shear, and sliding shear on total displacement. The results from the analysis are then utilized to evaluate the prevailing inelastic deformation mode in each of wall. Moment-curvature characteristics, ductility and damage index are quantified and discussed in relation with axial stress levels. Experimental results show that axial-load ratio have a significant effect on the flexural strength, failure mode, deformation characteristics and ductility of high-strength concrete structural walls.

  • The linear motion(LM) guide using ball bearing has many advantages compared with conventional sliding guides. Therefore, LM guide using ball bearing has been widely used to increase the accuracy of the position of a system. This research investigates dynamic characteristics of LM guide through mainly linear analyses. Linear analysis is accomplished by Lagrange equation and the finite element method. And another trial that performs nonlinear analysis about one mode(bouncing mode) of LM guide from Hertzian contact theory is accomplished in the latter half of this research. Through nonlinear analysis we could observe the softening characteristic due to the Hertzian contact nonlinearity.
