Optical burst switching (OBS) overcomes the inefficient resource usage of optical circuit switching and minimizes the optical buffering requirement of optical packet switching. General switch management protocol (GSMP) is an open interface between a label switch and a controller, and it provides connection, configuration, performance, event management and synchronization. GSMP open interface in the OBS network allows the implementation of OBS switch to be simple by separating the data forward plane from the control plane. We defined managed objects to support connection, configuration, performance, and fault management for the management of OBS network in the GSMP open interface. We proposed the network management model, in which the above managed objects are distributed in a controller and an OBS switch according to network management functions. We verified the possibility of connection management using distributed network management model in the GSMP open interface of OBS network by implementing GSMP and network management functions with managed objects of OBS.
The collision-free path planning presented here uses linear parametric curve with one intermediate connection point between start and target points. The algorithm, in which connection point is organized in elliptic chord.(.theta., .delta.), maps objects in Euclidean Space into images in CPS through intersection check between path and obstacles a process defined as GM. Elliptic locus has special property that the total distance between focus points through a point on ellipse is the same regardless of .theta.. Hence by locating the start and target points to focus points of ellipse, and organizing connection point in elliptic coordinate, the .delta.-axis of CPS represents length of path. The GM of EWS requires calculation of interference in circumferential direction only. The procedures for GM is developed which include categorization of obstacles to reduce calculation amount. Simulations of GM of EWS, on a PC with Pentium/90MHz, is carried out to measure performance of algorithm and the results are reported on a table. The simulations are done for number of cases with different number of obstacles and location of start/target points.

HTTP/1.1 standard reduces latencies and overhead from closing and re-establishing connections by supporting persistent connections as a default, which encourage multiple transfers of objects over one connection. HTTP/1.1, however, does not define explicitly connection-closing time but specifies a certain fixed holding time model. This model may induce wasting server's resource when server maintains conn ection with the idle-state client that requests no data for a certain time. This paper proposes the mechanism of a heuristic connection management supported by the client-side under persistent HTTP, in addition to HTTP/1.1's fixed holding time model on server-side. The client exploits the tag information within transferred HTML page so that decides connection-closing time. As a result, the mechanism allows server to use server's resource more efficiently without server's efforts.

Recently, advances in mobile communication and location identifying technology of the moving object is evolving. Therefore, the location-based services based on request for service have increased and a variety of the indexing for the position management of moving objects has been studied. Because the index based on Euclidean space are no restriction of movement, it is difficult to apply to the real world. Also, there is additional cost to find adjacent road segments in road networks-based indexing. Existing studies of fixed static objects such as buildings or hospitals are not considered. In this paper, we propose an efficient road networks-based indexing for management of current positions. The proposed indexing partitions road networks by grids and has integrated road connection informations and manage separated extra indexing for fixed static objects. Through the experiment, we show that the proposed indexing based on road networks improves the performance of operation for search or update than existing indexing.
To put it simply, thing theory is a study of meaningful capacities of materiality. Although T. S. Eliot regarded pathetic fallacy as the bad example of objective correlatives in his modernism poetry theory, it is clear that many objects in literary works reflect diverse human desires. Among many, Victorian sensation novels are the most distinct genre where the various paraphernalia in them indicate the distorted and exaggerated greed of the industrial revolution era. Whereas the male protagonists are usually related with the norms objects of authority such as portrait and locket, the female characters' connection with cosmetics and white dress shows their oppressed and fragile position in the patriarchal and hierarchical society. In the (post)modern society, the ambiguity of things has grown rapidly due to the increasing discrepancy between objects and things. In special, the new journalism and the psychological realism novels often reveal the post-truth phenomenon because consumerized audience depend more upon the attraction and affect than the mere evidence and facts. For the individual, according to object relations theory, these alternative facts are rather internalized into their mind as the internal object when they are motivated by the non/contact with primary caregivers in their childhood. The dominant material imagery in (post)modern fiction becomes the site of resistance because of their reconstructed and extended meaning. The object relations theory and thing theory can be effectively used to uncover the complicated meanings of desired objects by using the human-object's meaningful relations and early mental images that are secretly alive still in the present.
Dust ejection activities have been discovered from a few tens of asteroids since the first confirmation in 2006. Those objects are known as active asteroids. They provide good observational chances to study ongoing phenomena in the solar system such as sublimation of icy volatiles, mutual collisions among asteroids, rotational disintegrations, thermal fatigue, etc. Although dust ejection mechanisms of individual cases have been investigated through observations, the frequencies of the events and their connection to the overall evolutionary budget of the solar system have not yet been studied thoroughly, mainly because previous studies were based on serendipitous discoveries without any systematic surveys of these objects. In this work, we made wide-field monitoring observations of asteroids using Korea Microlensing Telescope Network (KMTNet) during the 2018/2019 winter season. Among 3,644 asteroids in the field-of-view, we detected nine candidates of brightness enhancements which we suspect as possible activities. It is still possible that some of those brightness increases have caused by long-term rotations. However, our observed frequency and brightness enhancements size-frequency distribution agrees with the expectations from impacts with decimeter sized objects, when the main belt objects size-frequency distribution observed down to decameter sized bodies are extrapolated to decimeter size.

The purpose of this study to discover what effect the mathematics education program linked to outdoor movement activities have on the ability to manipulate objects. The subject of study was a kindergarten class. The experimental and comparative groups consisted of 20 people each. In order to verify the effect of applying the early childhood mathematics education program in connection with outdoor movement activities, a total of 15 weeks of program was conducted for young children. As a result of conducting this study, it was found that a mathematics education program linked to outdoor movement activities improves the ability to manipulate objects. The discussion based on the results of this study is as follows. First, we suggest to specific activities that can be performed in an outdoor environment should be developed and applied to the field of early childhood education. Second, we suggest that It is necessary to program various subjects that link to outdoor movement activities. Third, we suggest what various measures are needed to improve the young children's ability to manipulate objects.

Virtual Reality simulation enables immersive 3D experience of a Virtual Environment. A simulation-based VE can be used to map real world phenomena into virtual experience. This research studies on the use of Newton's physics law to demonstrate the effects of forces upon object's falling movement, and their effects towards other fallible objects. A reconfigurable simulation enables users to reconfigure the parameters of the objects involved in the simulation, so that they can see different effects from the different configurations, such as force magnitude and distance between objects. This concept is suitable for a classroom learning of physics law. Preliminary implementation is done on a PC with a joystick for 4DOF movement. The graphics is implemented by SGI OpenGL Performer. A middleware called NAVERLib that consists of Performer's modules for easy XML-based configuration is used for management of visualization, network and devices connection, and where the engine of this domino simulation is attached.

Open networking architecture is required to support new multimedia services as integrated functions of network management and service architecture. In this paper, we propose the methodology of building block modeling using object grouping concepts and the sharing scheme of different distributed processing environments based on open networking architecture. The building block has the functions of object management, security object instance registry and object mapping in object group. It is necessary for the connection management information to be shared on the interworking between two domains. We implemented and validated connection management functions using computational object modeling and building block modeling in different distributed processing environments.
