한국인 태아 조기질의 미세구조에 관한 연구 (The Fine Structure of Human Fetal Nail Matrix)

  • The differentiation of nail matrix and fine structure of matrix cells were studied with light and electron microscope using specimens from nails of thumb finger in Korean fetuses 14 to 24 weeks old. Fetal nail matrix consisted of two horizontal layers, thicker ventral and thinner dorsal matrices, originating from invagination of epidermis in proximal nail field. Matrix being generally thicker in its distal region than the apex became gradually thickened with increase of the fetal age. Each matrix consisted of single layer of basal cells and multiple layers of squamous cells which are arranged close to and parallel to the central axis of the nail mairix. The process of keratinization of fetal nail matrix was noted to be occured concurrently in the ventral and dorsal matrices along the central axis of matrix toward distal and dorsal direction. Squamous cells became matured with accumulation of tonofilaments, increase of keratohyalin granules, discharge of membrane coating granules, and narrowing of intercellular spaces, thickening of plasma membrane and finally being transformed into horny cells of nail plate. Horny cells of nail plate filled with fibrous elements in the electron dense amorphous substance. These findings of keratinization process of fetal nail matrix appeared to be similar to those of keratinization in epidermis and inner root sheath of the hair. In the nail matrix, however, corresponding region to the keratogenous zone of growing hair follicle was not observed. Vacuolated squamous cells of nail matrix seen on light microscopy was considered to be artefactual product, but squamous cells with condensed small nuclei rarely found adjacent nail plate was considered to be one of the squamous cells with unknown function. Proximal end of nail plate was observed on dorsal surface of nail field distal to the proximal nail fold at 14 and 16 weeks old human embryos. Proximal prolongation of the proximal end of nail plate was occured with advancing fetal age and afterward 21 weeks nail plate invaded into nail matrix. Melanin granule containing cells and Merkel cells were present only on the basal layer of dorsal nail matirx.

고회화의 생활 복원과 공간.형태 심층관찰을 통한 죽서루 해석 (Interpretation of the Jukseoru Pavilion by Restoring Life from Old Pictures and Deep-Observing the Form and Space)

  • Jukseoru as an official pavilion of the government, one of the eight sceneries in Gwndong Area, is located on the cliff over Osipcheon River. This paper interprets form and space of the pavilion with restored old life by analyzing pictures of official party in 18th century in Chosun Dynasty. Every part of the space is occupied by persons by the class and duty: the pricipal guest, nobles, subordinates, gisaengs, court musicians, and guards from the high to the low and from the inside to the outside. Applying the analysis to the Jukseoru pavilion, the noblest lord takes sit on the platform in front of folded screen at main bay under checked ceiling, enclosed by low timber beam. The next northern end bay is a place for subordinates' and servants' waiting for preparation for rice wine. Southern end entrance bay is not a result of later addition but deliberately and originally made for lower place outside the railing of wooden floor: for a waiting woman gisaeng, and subordinates. Outside under the eaves on the platform with bedrock, artificial stone and soil is a place for court musicians, subordinates, and guards. The yard in front of the building is a place for preparing meals by cookers. Every detailed ornamental form is different each other by the place for the occupied class. Existing theory tells that the building, 7 bays gable-and-hipped roof, is a result of structural extention of 2 bays at the 5 bays gabled-roof. However, through the interpretation of old pictures and application to the pavilion, the present Juseoru is not a result of later structural addition, but deliberately designed creation suited to life in hierarchical traditional society.

CO2 Laser Assisted Fabrication of Micro-lensed Single-mode Optical Fiber

  • This paper reports the fabrication of various micro-lensed single-mode optical fibers through the use of an enhanced peak power $CO_2$ laser beam. The end faces of the optical fibers are exposed to the $CO_2$ laser beam to form convex, concave, and conical shape optical fiber tips. Peak power of the $CO_2$ laser beam was varied from 0.8 W to 1.5 W depending on the shape of the optical fiber tip. We also discover the dependence of the angle of the optical fiber tip on the rotation angle and the number of $CO_2$ laser irradiations. The angle shows an increasing trend with both these parameters. We achieve a wide range of lenticular fibers with end face angle varying from $4.47^{\circ}$ to $8.13^{\circ}$. Furthermore, we investigate the emission pattern of light from the developed micro-lensed fibers. The proposed $CO_2$ laser based optical fiber reshaping technique shows great consistency, and thus is suitable for commercial applications.

Nuclear Factor I-C 결손 생쥐에서 상아모세포의 형태학적 특징 (MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ODONTOBLAST IN NFI-C KNOCK/OUT MICE)

  • NFI-C K/O 생쥐에서는 상아모세포의 분화과정에 이상이 초래되어 상아질 형성에 이상이 생기고 치근 형성이 불완전하게 이루어지는 것으로 알려져 있으나 이에 대한 명확한 기전은 잘 알려져 있지 않다. 상아모세포가 분화하여 정상적으로 상아질을 형성하기 위하여 핵과 세포질이 극성을 띠고 잘 조직화되어야 하며, 이 과정에는 다양한 세포사이 결합장치들이 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 NFI-C K/O 생쥐에서 상아질 형성에 이상이 생기는 것이 상아모세포의 형태학적 변화와 세포사이 결합장치들이 기능을 하지 못한 결과에서 기인한 것인지 알아보기 위하여, NFI-C K/O 생쥐에서 발생한 비정상적인 상아모세포들을 광학 및 투과 전자현미경을 이용하여 형태학적으로 관찰하고, Zo-1과 occludin의 발현을 면역조직화학적으로 관찰하여 세포사이 결합장치들의 분포를 확인하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 광학현미경 소견에서 NFI-C K/O생쥐의 전치부 상아모세포는 세포 극성이 상실되고, 여러 층으로 배열되어 있었으며 상아질에 많은 세포들이 함입된 것과 같은 비정상적인 상아질의 소견을 나타냈다. 반면에 NFI-C K/O생쥐의 구치부 상아모세포는 치관부에서는 잘 조직화된 소견을 보였으나 치근 형성 부위 에서는 세포 배열이 불규칙해지고 세포 극성이 상실되었다. 2. 투과 전자현미경 소견에서 NFI-C K/O생쥐 전치부의 비정상적인 상아모세포는 둥근 형태로 세포 사이 간격이 넓으며 폐쇄연접과 같은 세포사이 결합장치들이 전혀 관찰되지 않았다. 3. ZO-1의 면역조직화학적 염색에서 NFI-C K/O생쥐의 전치부 법랑모세포의 근위부와 원위부에서 ZO-1이 강하게 발현되었으나 비정상적인 상아모세포에서는 ZO-1의 발현을 관찰할 수 없었다. 4. Occludin의 면역조직화학적 염색에서 정상 생쥐의 전치부 상아모세포에서는 occludin의 발현이 관찰되었으나 NFI-C K/O생쥐의 비정상적인 상아모세포에서는 occludin의 발현이 관찰되지 않았다. 이상의 결과를 종합하여 볼 때 NFI-C의 결손은 상아모세포의 분화 이상을 초래하고 비정상적으로 상아질을 형성하는 과정에 세포사이 결합장치의 상실과 같은 형태학적인 변화의 중요한 요소로 작용하는 것으로 생각된다.

『노걸대』 분석을 통해서 바라본 우리 반도의 외국어 교육 (Foreign Language Education of Korean Peninsula: Insights from Nogeldae)

  • 본 연구는 고려말에 저자미상의 실용적인 목적으로 만들어진 외국어 교재 "노걸대"에 대하여 어떻게 고려말부터 조선 500년 동안 지속적으로 외국어 교재로 사용될 수 있었는지 외국어 교재로서 그 지속성의 가치는 어디에 있는지를 알아보고자 하는데 있다. 이를 위해서 "노걸대"에 있는 대화문 구성된 의사소통 상황별로 정광의 "노걸대" 역주본에 나와 있는 106편의 대화를 만남(12편), 숙박(17편), 대도행(21편), 대도 생활(34편), 귀국(11편)으로 구분하여 평균문장길이, 어휘길이, 타입-토큰 비율, 본동사 앞 단어 수, 명사구 평균 수식어수 항목 측정치를 활용하여 외국어 교재로서의 계열성을 파악하고자 한다. "노걸대"는 제시된각 의사소통기능에서 일부 명사구 내의 계열성이 무시된 경우를 제외하면 전체적으로 복잡도의 계열성을 확인할 수 있었다. 문장 길이, 문장의 복잡도 계열성은 전체적으로 확인되었다. 어휘의 다양성은 계열성이 제대로 구성되었다고 볼 수는 없으나 어휘의 반복율이 높은 것은 기본적인 어휘의 사용이 많이 이루어졌다는 것을 의미한다.

언론은 한일 갈등을 어떻게 보도했는가 : 프레임 유형과 의미화 방식을 중심으로 (How Did the Press Report the Conflict Between Korea and Japan? : Focusing on Framing and Signifying Strategies)

  • 이 연구는 한국과 일본 간 갈등 문제를 다룬 한국 언론 보도의 프레임 유형과 의미화 전략을 비판적으로 검토했다. 이를 위해 2018년 10월 한국 대법원의 강제징용 배상 판결, 2019년 7월 일본 정부의 수출 규제 결정, 2019년 8월 한국 정부의 지소미아 종료 결정 등 갈등의 중요한 분기점이 된 세 시점에서부터 각 일주일 동안 조선일보, 한겨레, KBS 3개 언론사의 기사에 대한 프레임 분석과 텍스트 분석을 실시했다. 연구 결과 사건의 발생과 결과를 중심으로 갈등을 단순 중계하는 피상적 보도가 많고 맥락을 심층적으로 분석하거나 대안을 제시하는 보도는 적었다는 점이 드러났다. 또한 한일 갈등 국면에서 언론이 과도한 민족주의에 경도될 것이라는 예상과 달리, 한국 언론의 핵심 문제로 지적되는 정파적 보도 행태가 강하게 드러났다. 이 연구는 언론이 국가적 비상 상황인 한일 갈등마저 정치적 이해관계를 위해 이용하는 정파적 보도 양태를 극복해야 신뢰를 회복할 수 있다고 주장하였다.

4종 아크릴릭 레진 인공치의 물리적 성질에 관한 비교 (COMPARISON OF THE PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF FOUR KINDS OF ACRYLIC RESIN DENTURE TEETH)

  • To compare the wear resistance of four kinds of commercial acrylic resin teeth [SR-Orthosit PosterioresR(Ivoclar Co., Liechtenstein), Endura PosteriorR(Shofu Inc. Japan), trubyte IPN teethR(Dentsply International Inc., York,), Trubyte BiotoneR(dentsply Inermational Inc. Brazil) by means of the toothbrush abrasion method, the artificial resin teeth were embedded in epoxy resin with the occlusal surfaces aligned in one plane for a total of 40 blocks. There after, each lock was mounted in the arm of the toothbrush abrasion machine(K 236, Japan). Wear measurements were made on the three preconditioned states. Those were as follows : no treatment specimens, thermocycled specimens, and thermocycled specimens which were immeresed applied load of 400g during the buring the brushing cycle. At the end of the 30,000-stroke cycle, each specimen was removed, and weighed. The microhardness of four kinds of commercial resin teeth were determined by means of microhardness tester. Microhardness tests were performed on te no treatment specimens, thermocycled specimens, and thermocycled specimens with immersion in the denture cleansing solution. Finally, the comparison of thermal properties were perfomed using differential scanning calorimeter(DSC-1500). The following results were obtained : 1. In the case of no treatment teeth, the wear amount of endura Posterior(EN) was the greatest among the others(p<0.01), and the wear amount of three kinds of artificial resin teeth was increased in the order of Trubyte IPN teeth(IN), Trubyte Biotone(BN), SR-Orthosit Posteriores(SN) but there was no statistic significance(p>0.01). 2. The wear amount of Trubyte IPN teeth(IT) and Trubyte Biotone(BT), was increased due to thermocycling effect, but that of Endura Posteriores(ET) was decreased conversely(p<0.01). 3. Except for the SR-Orthosit Posteriores(STC), the wear amount of three kinds of artificial resing teeth(that is, ETC, ITC, BTC) was increased due to denture cleansing solution$(Cledent^R)$, but there was no statistic significance(p>0.01). But the wear amount of the SR-Orthosit Posteriores(STC) was the greatest among the others(p<0.01). 4. The wear amount of toothbrush was the greatest in case of contact with occlusal surface of SROrthosit Posteriores resin teeth(p<0.01). 5. the microhardness values(KHN) of the SR-Orthosit Posteriores was the highest among the experimental artificial resin teeth(p<0.01). 6. There was no relationship between microhardness valuse(KHN) and wear amount of four kinds of experimental artificial resin teeth(p<0.01). 7. The differential canning calorimetric property of four kinds of artificial resin teeth did not show endothermal or exothermal peak in the range of $100^{\circ}C$

상동중석광상(上東重石鑛床)의 현미경적(顯微鏡的) 연구(硏究) (Microscopic Study of Sangdong Tungsten Ore Deposit, Korea)

  • In the Sangdong Mine area, Taebaegsan series (Pre-Cambrian) and Chosun System (Cambro-ordovician) are widely distributed. The Chosun System consists of Yangdug Series (Jangsan Quartzite and Myobong Slate) and The Great Limestone Series (Pungchon Limestone, Shesong Shale, Hwajeol Formation and Dongjeom Quartzite). The mineralized zone containing the main ore body of the Sangdong Mine was developed in the Myobong Slate formation. The result of the field and microscopic study on the mineral paragenesis and it's wall rock alteration in the tungsten ore deposit shows the following features. The orogenic movements of the Post-Chosun System in the Hambaeg Geosyncline are closely related to the tungsten ore deposition in the area, the ore minerals are composed mainly of scheelite, powelite molybdenite and sulfide minerals, and gangue minerals are hornblende, diopside, garnet, quartz, phlogopite, tremolite, biotite, muscovite, fluorite, etc., main ore body was enriched by scheelite bearing quartz vein filling into interstices of formerly mineralized zones, and the minor faults, faults of N $60^{\circ}-70^{\circ}W$, $45^{\circ}-60^{\circ}NE$ and joints, which were formed at the end of the mineralization and the slate. Country rock of the ore body was altered into the following several zones from the outside to the inside; lowgrade recrystalline aureole, silicified sericite zone, and diopside-hornblende zone. Under the microscopic observation of 195 samples taken from throughout ore body can be classified into 10 different groups by their mineral paragenesis as shown in table 2. The garnet-diopside group is primary skarn and it shows gradational change to the groups of later stage by the successive processes of metasomatism. From the stage of quartz-bearing group, the dissemination of scheelite is seen. The crystallization of scheelite in the bed started with the quartz deposition and continued to the last stage when quartz vein intruded into the main ore body. In the field and the under ground investigation a durable limestone bed in thickeness about 20 meters and their remnants in ore body are observed and under microscope calcite remnants are recognized. Hence it is posturated that the ore material moved up through the faults, shear zones or feather cracks and was assimilated with the interbeded limestone, after that the body was affected by the successive differentiated ore solution by gradational increasing in $SiO_2$, $K_2O$ and $H_2O$. Evidently this ore deposit shows the features resulted from pyrometasomatic processes.

프랜차이즈 조직의 학습지향성과 관계마케팅지향성이 직무만족에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Franchise's Learning Orientation and Relationship Marketing Orientation on the Job Satisfaction)

  • Purpose - Nowadays, more than ever before, fierce competition, deep market segmentation, short product life cycles, and intensifying customer needs are putting increasing pressure on franchise's organizations to satisfy their customers by creating market-oriented relationships with and enhancing their market knowledge of them. One way that this might be achieved is by establishing deep ties (i.e., job commitment and job satisfaction) with their employees. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine how two important constructs of franchises' strategic efforts, LO (learning orientation) and RMO (relationship marketing orientation), affect job satisfaction, given the mediating role of job commitment. A franchise system comprises a set of contractual arrangements by which mutual obligations are performed. An organizational learning goal motivates employees to improve their abilities and master the tasks they perform. Relationship marketing, in addition, is to identify, establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with customers and other stakeholders to ensure that the objectives of all parties are met and this is done through the mutual exchange of promises. In a relationship marketing orientation, then, a firm creates, maintains, and enhances a strong relationship with its customers by sustaining long-term ties. This study was designed to examine the evolution of various theoretical approaches to franchise systems in order to determine whether theories about firms have significantly affected the franchise system. To this end, the authors developed a structural model consisting of several constructs. Previous studies have suggested that franchises' learning and relationship marketing orientations are important occupational immersion dimensions driving job satisfaction. Research design, data, methodology - We empirically tested a process of how the learning orientation and the relationship marketing orientation influence job commitment and job satisfaction using survey data drawn from 150 responding franchisees who were interviewed about their individual tendencies. Results - The results of this study provide empirical evidence that learning orientation, relationship marketing orientation, and job commitment all influence franchisees' job satisfaction. The results of this study indicate that, first, learning orientation had a significant effect on job satisfaction; second, relationship marketing orientation was positively related to job commitment; third, job commitment had a significant effect on job satisfaction. We also found that relationship marketing orientation and job satisfaction were mediated by job commitment. Conclusions - The findings of this study confirm the importance of learning orientation and relationship marketing orientation in maintaining a positive marketing relationship between franchiser and franchisee from to the perspective of the market. This indicates that franchiser support such as educational programs provided by the franchiser will help franchisees attain higher business management achievement and satisfaction. Moreover, a positive relationship between franchisees and consumers can be maintained through tie effects. Our findings also suggest that learning orientation plays a critical role in job satisfaction within the franchise system.

모멘트 변화에 따른 브라켓과 교정용 선재 사이의 마찰력 변화 (Changes in frictional resistance between stainless steel bracket and various orthodontic wires according to a change in moment)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 모멘트 변화에 따른 건조 환경과 타액 환경에서의 스테인리스강 브라켓과 여러 종류의 교정용 선재 사이의 마찰력을 비교하는 것이었다. 실험에는 $0.022"{\times}0.028"$ 스테인리스강 브라켓과 $0.019"{\times}0.025"$ 스테인리스강, 베타-티타늄, 니켈-티타늄 선재가 사용되었다. 활주 이동될 브라켓에는 0.9 mm 직경의 스테인리스강 선재로 제작된 길이 10 mm의 레버를 부착하였으며 레버에 100 g, 200 g의 추를 부착함으로써 브라켓에 각각 $1000g{\cdot}mm$ $(100g{\times}10mm)$, $2000g{\cdot}mm$ $(200g{\times}10mm)$의 모멘트를 가하고 만능시험기를 이용하여 마찰력을 측정하였다. 모든 조건에서 스테인리스강 선재가 가장 작은 마찰력을 보였으며 베타-티타늄과 니켈-티타늄 선재 사이에서는 $2000g{\cdot}mm$ 모멘트의 인공타액 하의 조건에서를 제외하고는 마찰력의 유의한 차이가 없었다 모든 선재에서 모멘트가 $1000g{\cdot}mm$인 때보다 $2000g{\cdot}mm$일 때 마찰력이 더 컸다. 건조 환경과 타액 환경의 비교에 있어서 $1000g{\cdot}mm$의 모멘트 하에서 인공타액에 의해 스테인리스강 선재의 마찰력은 증가하였으나 베타-티타늄과 니켈-티타늄의 마찰력은 증가하지 않았으며, $2000g{\cdot}mm$의 모멘트 하에서 인공타액에 의해 모든 종류의 선재에서 마찰력이 증가하였다.
