요양보호사 교육기관 교육서비스 질 평가 도구개발 (Development of an Evaluation Instrument for Education Services Quality in Learning Facilities for Care Workers)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the important factors of education service quality and to develop the evaluation instrument in learning facilities for care workers. This study was processed as four steps. First, the important factors were confirmed through literature reviews and the expert board discussions. Second, the evaluation instrument was developed and validity & reliability of the instrument were checked by factor analysis and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. Lastly, the instrument was rechecked by the expert board in language usages and importance of the items. The results indicated that the important quality factors were divided with infrastructure and service process. Especially, the process contained providing appropriate education information & counseling, providing appropriate contract & paying fees, keeping specified service principles and so on. The study instrument was developed with 28 items. This instrument will be helpful to improve the education service quality. Besides, the staffs must continuously try to improve and manage their education services using the results of this kind of evaluation instrument.

노인요양시설 서비스 질 평가 도구 개발 (Development of an Evaluation Instrument for Service Quality in Nursing Homes)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to identify the factors influencing service quality in nursing homes, and to develop an evaluation instrument for service quality. Methods: A three-phase process was employed for the study. 1) The important factors to evaluate the service quality in nursing homes were identified through a literature review, panel discussion and focus group interview, 2) the evaluation instrument was developed, and 3) validity and reliability of the study instrument were tested by factor analysis, Pearson correlation coefficient, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ and Cohen's Kappa. Results: Factor analysis showed that the factors influencing service quality in nursing homes were healthcare, diet/assistance, therapy, environment and staff. To improve objectivity of the instrument, quantitative as well as qualitative evaluation approaches were adopted. The study instrument was developed with 30 items and showed acceptable construct validity. The criterion-related validity was a Pearson correlation coefficient of .85 in 151 care facilities. The internal consistency was Cronbach's ${\alpha}$=.95. Conclusion: The instrument has acceptable validity and a high degree of reliability. Staff in nursing homes can continuously improve and manage their services using the results of the evaluation instrument.

억제대 적용해 대한 가족의 정서적 반응 측정 도구개발 (Development and Testing of an Instrument to Measure Family's Emotional Response toward Physically Restrained Patients)

  • Purpose: This was a methodological research to develop an instrument to assess the emotional response of family members of physically restrained patients. Methods: A primary instrument with 68 questions was developed based on literature review and semi-structured interviews with family members. A group of experts revised individual questions and removed 4 irrelevant questions. This secondary instrument, then, was tested with 199 family members of physically restrained patients in intensive care units of a university hospital. The validity and reliability of the instrument were tested by factor analysis. Results: After item analysis, 3 questions with a correlation coefficient under .30 were discarded and the questions with a factor loading under .45 on Varimax Rotation were also removed. After factor analysis on the final 37 questions, 7 factors were identified; avoidance, shock, helplessness, grudge, depression, anxiousness, and acceptance. The total variance explained was 55.63%. The reliability of this instrument was 0.93 of Cronbach's alpha. Conclusion: This instrument was statistically reliable and valid to measure family's emotional response to physical restraints of the patients. This instrument can be useful in assessing the effects of nursing interventions for family members of restrained patients.

Korean Mathematics Teacher Educators' Response on the Mathematics Teaching Efficacy Beliefs Instrument

  • The Mathematics Teaching Efficacy Beliefs Instrument is one of the most popular instruments used to measure elementary preservice teachers' efficacy beliefs in mathematics teaching. The instrument was, however, developed in the United States and is perhaps not appropriate for other cultures. In this study, the instrument was translated into Korean and carefully reviewed by Korean mathematics teacher education professors. Analysis of the review indicated that eight out of the 21 items were appropriate while the others needed to be revised. Items were identified as inappropriate due to awkwardness, multiple meanings, tense disagreements, and vagueness. These items were modified to better fit the Korean context. The instrument was revised with two versions: one for elementary and the other for secondary pre service teachers.

고등학생 기후변화 대응 실천역량 검사도구의 개발 (Development of an Instrument for Measuring Action Competence on Climate Change within High School Students)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 고등학생의 기후변화 대응 실천역량을 진단하는 검사도구를 개발하는 데 있다. 내용타당도 검증과 두 차례의 조사를 바탕으로 검사도구를 개발하였고, 본조사는 전국의 고등학생 1~2학년 528명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 기후변화 대응 실천역량 검사도구의 신뢰도와 타당도를 확보하기 위해 문항 분석(평균, 왜도, 첨도, 문항-전체 상관), 신뢰도 분석, 확인적 요인분석을 활용하였다. 기후변화 대응 실천역량 검사도구는 7가지 영역의 총 35개 문항으로 구성되어 있으며, 검사에 소요되는 시간은 약 15분 내외이다. 이 검사도구의 영역별 구성은 기후변화 관련 지식, 기후변화 감수성, 성찰능력, 통합적 사고, 의사소통능력, 의사결정능력, 실천 의지이다. 이 검사도구는 자기보고식의 5점 리커트 척도(1=전혀 그렇지 않다, 2=그렇지 않다, 3=보통이다, 4=그렇다, 5=매우 그렇다)로 응답하도록 되어있으며, Cronbach-α 값은 전체 0.953, 하위요소의 경우 0.786~0.862의 범위로 나타났다.

국민학생(園民學生)의 과학(科學) 탐구능력(探究能力) 측정(測定)을 위한 평가도구(評價道具) 개발(開發) (Development of a Test of Science Inquiry Skills Elementary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an reliable instrument for evaluating science inquiry skills through an R&D procedure. A total of ten seience inquiry skills were selected for the development of the instrument, ie, observation, classifying, recognizing problems, measuring, inferring, formulating hypothesis, controlling variables, experimenting, interpreting and drowing a conclusion. And three items were developed for each sceince inquiry skill, totaling up to thirty items. The content areas of developed items are divided into three categories, material and energy, life and environment, and the earth and the space. There are 10 items for each category. The content validity and the objectivity of developed items were checked, verified in the two field trials and revised according to the analysis of items by seven experienced specialists with the degree of doctors in science education and five teachers who were studying for their master's degree in science education. According to the results of the second field trial. the content validity of the instrument was 91.1%, reliablity(K-R 20) 0.78, defficulty index 49.13%, discrimination index 0.42, mean achivement 61.85%, standard deviation 5.11, and standard error 2.40. Considering the above results, the developed instrument in this study is regarded as a appropriate instrument for evaluating science inquiry skills of elementary school students.

간호사가 지각하는 직장 내 괴롭힘 측정도구 개발 (Development and Validity of Workplace Bullying in Nursing-Type Inventory (WPBN-TI))

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop an instrument to assess bullying of nurses, and test the validity and reliability of the instrument. Methods: The initial thirty items of WPBN-TI were identified through a review of the literature on types bullying related to nursing and in-depth interviews with 14 nurses who experienced bullying at work. Sixteen items were developed through 2 content validity tests by 9 experts and 10 nurses. The final WPBN-TI instrument was evaluated by 458 nurses from five general hospitals in the Incheon metropolitan area. SPSS 18.0 program was used to assess the instrument based on internal consistency reliability, construct validity, and criterion validity. Results: WPBN-TI consisted of 16 items with three distinct factors (verbal and nonverbal bullying, work-related bullying, and external threats), which explained 60.3% of the total variance. The convergent validity and determinant validity for WPBN-TI were 100.0%, 89.7%, respectively. Known-groups validity of WPBN-TI was proven through the mean difference between subjective perception of bullying. The satisfied criterion validity for WPBN-TI was more than .70. The reliability of WPBN-TI was Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ of .91. Conclusions: WPBN-TI with high validity and reliability is suitable to determine types of bullying in nursing workplace.

조직의 지식경영 준비도(Readiness) 측정도구 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of an Instrument to Measure the Readiness of an Organization for Knowledge Management)

  • The role of knowledge as the key source of potential advantage for organizations and economies has become a hotly debated topic. Some studies found that organizations had their own knowledge management styles. Knowledge Management draws form existing resources that organizations may already have in place. Checking the organization's infrastructures for Knowledge Management is the first step for Knowledge Management. Although the as- is analysis of organizations before knowledge management is important, but there is no study on the readiness for Knowledge Management. This study reports on the development of an instrument designed to measure the readiness of an organization for knowledge Management. Starting with the literature, 4 dimensions - strategy, process, culture/people, and technology - and 18 factors were identified. Then, a questionnaire for measuring readiness was created. Finally, the instrument was pilot tested to prove its reliability and validity. Following the pilot test, the factors all demonstrated acceptable levels of reliability. The result is 19 factors instrument comprising 4 dimensions which provide a useful tool for measuring the readiness for Knowledge Management.

알츠하이머병에 관한 건강정보 이해력 측정도구 개발 및 평가: 농촌 노인을 대상으로 (Development and Evaluation of Health Literacy Instrument for Alzheimer's Disease: Case of Older Adults in Rural Areas)

  • Purpose: This study develops a health literacy instrument for Alzheimer's disease. Methods: Items were drawn from The Korean version of the Alzheimer's Disease Knowledge Scale (ADKS) and the Korean version of European Health Literacy Survey Questionnaire (HLS-EU-Q47 & HLS-EU-Q16). Content validity was tested by experts. To further refine the questionnaires and test their reliability and validity, data were collected from 324 older adults in the community. Results: Five significant items in the two subscales were derived from the factor analysis. The subscales were named access and understanding. Reliability was good at Cronbach's ⍺ .79, and validity through exploratory factor analysis was KMO .897, p<.001, which was found to be high and significant. Conclusion: The instrument demonstrated high reliability and validity. Therefore, this instrument can contribute to the evaluation of health literacy for Alzheimer's Disease in older adults and to any subsequent intervention, as well as to develop a theory for health literacy for Alzheimer's Disease.

뒤영벌 인공수정기 개발 (Development of the Artificial Insemination Instrument of Bumblebee Queens)

  • 뒤영벌 인공수정기를 본 연구에서 처음으로 개발하였다. 개발된 뒤영벌 인공수정기는 자리잡기용관, 이송용관, 고정관, 머리받침대, 생식기 탐침기 등으로 구성되어 있으며, 여왕벌의 인공수정에 따른 스트레스 및 생식기의 손상을 최소화하도록 고안되었다. 특히 인공수정기의 조정핸들은 지렛대 원리를 이용하여 미세하고, 정확하고, 신속하게 조작할 수 있다. 본 인공수정기를 이용하여 인공수정 시 수정 성공률은 90% 이상이었다. 따라서 이 인공수정기는 우량형질의 뒤영벌 육종 및 보존에 효율적으로 이용되어질 수 있을 것이다.
