도시화에 따른 부산과 대구의 일교차 변화 특성에 관한 연구 (Analysis on Variation of Diurnal Temperature Range of Busan and Daegu according to Urbanization)

  • In this study, changes in daily temperature range were investigated using daily maximum and minimum temperatures of Busan and Daegu for last 81 years (1934-2014), and also characteristics of daily temperature range and seasonal fluctuations by urbanization were examined. First, elapsing changes showed a lower decreasing trend in Busan ($0.32^{\circ}C$) than Daegu ($1.28^{\circ}C$) for last 81 years. Daily temperature range showed the highest rise in winter in both Busan and Daegu. Second, daily temperature range due to urbanization showed that Busan had a pronounced decreasing trend before urbanization meanwhile Daegu showed the same trend after urbanization. On seasonal changes, the results of Busan showed a decreasing trend in summer before urbanization, and in autumn after urbanization. For Daegu, the results showed a decreasing trend in spring before urbanization, and in winter after urbanization. Seasonal fluctuations of Busan showed little difference in the pre and post-urbanization, except in winter and summer. There was large difference in daily temperature range in winter after urbanization, and in summer before the urbanization. The results in Daegu showed that there was decreasing trend of daily temperature range in all seasons after urbanization.

  • 본 연구는 동계 외기온 데이타의 시각별 변동특성을 파악하기 위하여 연변동 성분 및 기간변동 성분을 제거한 일변동 성분의 매 시각별 외기온 데이타에 대해서 일교차의 발생요인에 대해서 분석하였다. 또한 동계시각별 외기온의 주파수 특성에 대해서 검토하였으며 외기온 데이타의 수식화의 가능성을 제시하였다.

우리나라의 일교차 변화에 관한 연구 (The Change of Diurnal Temperature Range in South Korea)

  • 본 연구는 1954~2009년까지의 분석 기간을 1954~1987년과 1988~2009년으로 구분하여 일최고기온, 일최저기온, 일교차의 계절별 변화와 지역별 분포에 따른 그 변화 경향과 그 원인을 파악하였다. 일최고기온의 기온 상승 경향은 전후반기 뚜렷한 변화가 없으나 일최저기온은 전반기보다 후반기에 뚜렷하게 상승하여 일교차는 감소하는 경향이다. 계절별로 구분하였을 때 봄철의 일교차는 약간의 상승 경향이고 가을철은 감소 경향이 뚜렷하다. 지역별로는 대도시 지역이 중소도시보다 일교차 감소가 크고 비도시 지역은 일교차가 상승하는 경향이다. 대도시와 중소도시 지역의 일교차는 봄철의 운량과 가을철의 일조시간의 영향이 크다. 비도시 지역은 봄철에는 운량, 가을철에는 강수일수의 영향이 크다.

기상요인이 콩 단백질 함량에 미치는 영향 (Climatic Influence on Seed Protein Content in Soybean(Glycine max))

  • This study was carried out to identify how soybean seed protein concentration is influenced by climatic factors. Twelve lines selected for seed protein concentration were studied in 13 environments of North Carolina. Sensitivity of seed protein concentration, total seed protein, and seed yield to climatic variables was investigated using a linear regression model. Best response models were determined using two stepwise selection methods, Maximum R-square and Stepwise Selection. There were wide climatic effects in seed protein concentration, total protein and seed yield. The highest protein concentration environment was characterized by the most high temperature days(HTD) and the smallest variance of average daily temperature range (VADTRg), while the lowest protein concentration environment was distinguished by the fewest HTD and the largest VADTRg. For protein concentration, all lines responded positively to average maximum daily temperature(MxDT), HTD, and average daily temperature range(ADTRg) and negatively to ADRa, while they responded positively or negatively to average daily temperature(ADT), variance of average minimum daily temperature (VMnDT), and VADTRg, indicating that genotypes may greatly differ in degrees of sensitivity to each climatic variable. Eleven lines seemed to have best response models with 2 or 3 variables. Exceptionally, NC106 did not show a significant sensitivity to any climatic variable and thus did not have a best response model. This indicates that it may be considered phenotypically more stable. For total seed protein and seed yield, all the lines responded negatively to both ADTRg and VADRa, suggesting that synthesis of seed components may increase with less daily temperature range and less variation in daily rainfall.

  • 수종별(樹種別) 생육온도(生育温度) 범위(範圍)를 조사분석(調査分析) 하므로써 조림예정지(造林豫定地)에 대한 올바른 수종(樹種) 선택방법(選擇方法)을 제시(提示)하고자, 30년간(年間)의 일(日) 평균기상자료(平均氣象資料)를 이용(利用)하여, 생육기(生育期)(3~10월(月))의 일(日) 평균기온합계(平均氣温合計), 일(日) 평균상대습도합계(平均相對濕度合計), 일(日) 평균일조시간합계(平均日照時間合計)와 휴면기(休眠期)(11~2월(月))의 일(日) 평균기온합계(平均氣温合計), 일(日) 평균상대습도합계(平均相對濕度合計), 일(日) 평균(平均) 최저기온합계(最低氣温合計)를 조사(調査)하여 우리나라 지도(地圖)에 등지선(等指線)으로 표시(表示)하였다. 조림예정지(造林豫定地)에 대한 생육기(生育期) 일(日) 평균기온합계(平均氣温合計)와 휴면기(休眠期) 일(日) 평균최저기온합계(平均最低氣温合計)를 추정(推定)하기 위하여 우리나라를 6개(個) 지역(地域)으로 나누어, 각각(各各) 이에 상응(相應)하는 추정식(推定式)을 다중회귀직선식(多重回歸直線式)으로 유도(誘導)하였다. 정대현(鄭臺鉉)과 이우철(李愚喆)의 우리 나라 수목(樹木)의 수직(垂直) 및 수평분포표(水平分布表)를 기준(基準)으로 수종별(樹種別) 생육범위(生育範圍)를 일(日) 평균기온합계(平均氣温合計)와 일(日) 평균최저기온합계치(平均最低氣温合計値)에 의하여 나타냈다.

서울에서 1954-2005년 동안 관측된 설날 귀성에 따른 일교차의 변화 (Changes in the Diurnal Temperature Range due to Homecoming in the New Year Holiday Observed in Seoul for the 1954-2005 Period)

  • The present study has examined interdecadal variations of the diurnal temperature range (DTR, daily maximum temperature minus daily minimum temperature) during the New Year season in Seoul for the period 1954-2005. Here, the average DTR for the New Year holidays (three consecutive days; one day before the New Year, the New Year day, and one day after the New Year) minus the average DTR for 14 days, 7 days before and 7 days after the New Year holidays, is defined for representing the New Year effect. The DTR index does not show notable trend until the late 1970s but shows obvious positive values afterward. For example, the difference of the average DTR between two periods (1980-2005 minus 1954-1979) is $0.65^{\circ}C$, which is meaningful at the 95% confidence level. This result demonstrates that intense human activity even for the limited period may provide climate impact in local regions. Its plausible causes are discussed.

河川의 日別 水溫差에 대한 推計學的 特性 (Stochastic Properties of Daily Temperature in Rivers)

  • The stochastic characteristics of the daily range of water temperature variation was analyzed by employing the techniques of autocorrelation coefficient, autoreggresive model and crosscorrelation model. These time series included daily observations on maximum and minimum values of water temperature and air temperature. The measurement was made by automatic recording instrument at Gu-yee and Dook-do in Han River, and at Waegwan and Gu-mi in Nackdong River in 1981. As a result of this study, it was found that (1) The correlogram of daily water temperature ranges $\Delta AT_i$ and daily air temperature $\Delta AT_i$ at Gu-mi and Gu-yee showed the exponential curves. (2) The most high frequency values of $\Delta AT_i$ and $\Delta WT_i$ were 11$\circ$C and 0.5${\circ}C$ respectively at every measuring site. (3) The correlation coefficients between the daily mean air temperature AT$_i$ and the daily mean water temperature were fairly high as 0.966 at Dook-do and 0.949 at Gu-yee, but the correlation coefficients between $\Delta AT_i$ and $\Delta WT_i$ were very low as 0.1074 at Gu-yee and 0.0324 at Dook-Do.

서울 및 6대 광역시의 기상요인을 고려한 대기오염이 주요 알레르기질환에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Air Pollution on Allergic Diseases Considering Meteorological Factors in Metropolitan Cities in Korea)

  • Objectives: We investigated the effects of air pollution on allergic diseases (allergic rhinitis, asthma, atopic dermatitis) in metropolitan cities in Korea, adjusting for meteorological factors. Methods: Data on daily hospital visits and hospital admissions for 2003-2010 was obtained from the National Health Insurance Cooperation. Meteorological data was obtained from the Korea Meteorological Administration. We then calculated daily mean temperature, daily mean humidity, daily mean air pressure at sea level, and diurnal temperature range. We used data on air pollution provided by the National Institute of Environmental Research. Maximum daily eight-hour average ozone concentrations and the daily mean $PM_{10}$ were used. We estimated excess risk and 95% confidence interval for the increasing interquatile range (IQR) of each air pollutant using Generalized Additive Models (GAM) that appropriate for time series analysis. Results: In this study, we observed an association between ozone and hospital visits for allergic rhinitis, asthma, and atopic dermatitis in all metropolitan cities, adjusting for temperature, humidity, air pressure at sea level, diurnal temperature range, and day of the week. Ozone was associated with hospital visits for allergic rhinitis, asthma, and atopic dermatitis across all metropolitan cities. However $PM_{10}$ was associated with allergic-related diseases in only select cities. Also, ozone and $PM_{10}$ were associated with hospital admission for asthma in all cities except Gwangju. Hospitalization for the other diseases failed to show consistent association with air pollutants. Conclusion: In the findings of this study, there was a significant association between air pollutants and allergic-related diseases. More detailed research subdivided age group or conducting meta-analyses combining data of all cities is required.

韓半島의 대나무類 分布와 그 環境要因에 관한 植物地理學的 硏究 (A Phytogeographical Study on the Distribution of Bamboos in the Korean Peninsula)

  • Correlations between horizontal distributions of bamboos (Bambusaceae) in the Korean peninsula and environmental factors were studied using taxanomic and geographical literatures, both old and current. The vertical distributions of bamboos on Mt. Chiri were also studied, and environmental factors limiting horizontal and vertical distributions were compared. There are 18 species of bamboos (belonging to 5 genera) distributed in the Korean peninsula. The distributional range of each genus were distinct, although overlapped. Northern limit of bamboos of any species was marked by the line connecting Paikryung Island (124。40'E, 38。00'N), Mt. Changsoo, Mt. Myungji, Mt. Myohyung and Myungchum (129。40'E, 41。10'N). The optimum range of bamboos was concluded to be restricted to several southern province, with annual precipitation over 1,200 mm. The limiting factors on the distribution were inferred to be low temperature and duration of it. Mean daily minimum temperature of January and the number of days with daily mean temperatures below zero during January showed close associations with the distributional range, and an environmental factors favouring the distributrion of bamboos appeared to be vicinity of warm sea current, deep and extended snow acculation and southern exposure. The vertical distribution of bamboos on Mt. Chiri was limited by low temperature, unfavorable topographic and edaphic conditions caused by steep slope. Difference in the vertical limits between SE and NW slopes are caused by the differences in temperature and precipitation between the slopes. Bamboos were more abundant in valleys than on the ridge, apparently because the deeper snow in the valleys protected the plants from low temperature, heavy winter winds and desiccation.

우리나라에서 계절별 일교차의 분포 특성과 그 원인 (Characteristics of Seasonal Mean Diurnal Temperature Range and Their Causes over South Korea)

  • Characteristics of seasonal mean diurnal temperature range (DTR) and their causes over South Korea are investigated using the 60 stations data of Korea Meteorological Administration from 1976 to 2005. In general, the seasonal mean DTR is greatest during spring (in inland area) and least during summer (urban and coastal area). The spatial and seasonal variations of DTR are closely linked with the land surface conditions (especially vegetation activity and soil moisture) and atmospheric conditions (cloud amount, precipitation, local circulation). The seasonal mean DTR shows a decreasing trend at the major urban areas and at the north-eastern part of South Korea. Whereas, it shows an increasing trend at the central area of the southern part. Decreasing and increasing trends of DTR are more significant during summer and fall, and during spring and winter. The decrease (increase) of DTR is mainly caused by the stronger increase of daily minimum (maximum) temperature than daily maximum (minimum) temperature. The negative effects of precipitation and cloud amount on the DTR are greater during spring and at the inland area than during winter and at the coastal area. And the effect of daytime precipitation on the DTR is greater than that of nighttime precipitation.
