기계류부품의 가진시험 조건에 관한 연구 (Study of Vibration Test Condition for Machinery Component)

  • It is increasingly important to ensure that a given vibration test specification of a particular machinery component is appropriately established by considering its real environmental conditions. Vibration test standards for electrical components are well documented, for example in an IEC 60068 series, while standards for machinery components are rarely found except a few military standards. Thus many vibration tests are performed based on the military standards. However, a test based on these military standards often results in over-testing, and under-testing in some cases due to the different environmental conditions. Also, these standards require an appropriate tailoring that may not be easily accomplished. In this paper, various international and military standards are compared and investigated to obtain test specifications relevant for machinery components. Also appropriate tailoring methods are demonstrated through a case study.

테이퍼 그리드 커플링의 신뢰성 평가에 관한 연구 (Study on Reliability Evaluation for a Taper Grid Coupling)

  • Purpose: This paper evaluates the reliability of tapered grid couplings and presents test results through performance and life tests. Methods: The performance and life test method were presented by analyzing the failure modes for the tapered grid coupling. Zero failure test time was calculated to evaluate the reliability of tapered grid couplings and the test was performed under accelerated conditions. The nondestructive test and wear analysis using weighing were also carried out to check the failure modes of the field conditions. Conclusion: This study can be provided to improve the product reliability through failure analysis of a tapered grid coupling. The performance test results of before and after the accelerated life test were presented to confirm the improved reliability of the tapered grid coupling.

  • Purpose: Environment test aim to validate the guarantee of required capability of materiel against various environment conditions which exposed during materiel life-cycle. In this paper, environment test design procedure and tailoring guideline for Korean peninsula and periphery climate are proposed. Methods: To design tailoring guideline, climate data which are regarding Korean peninsula and periphery regions provided from Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) and National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) are used. Conclusion: For effective environment test, it is important that environment test have to design in considering environment conditions during materiel life-cycle. It is concluded that the high temperature test level can be softer than the test criteria in MIL-HDBK-310, however, the low temperature test level will be expected to be $2{\sim}6^{\circ}C$ harsher than MIL-HDBK-310.

벌류트 펌프의 신뢰성 평가에 관한 연구 (Study for the Reliability Evaluation of a Volute Pump)

  • The objective of this paper is to evaluate the reliability of a volute pump and presents test results through performance and life tests. The performance and life test methods were presented by analyzing the failure modes of the volute pump. Zero failure test time was calculated to evaluate the reliability of the volute pump and then, the test was performed under accelerated conditions. The test was also carried out to check the failure modes of the field conditions. This study can be provided to improve the product reliability through failure analysis of the volute pump. And failure cause of typical failure case has been investigated and improvement design has been presented. The performance test results of before and after the accelerated life test were presented to confirm the improved reliability of the volute pump.

  • The components of dependability are reliability, availability, maintainability, safety. The dependability thus often designated in terms of RAMS. A guide to the appropriate selection applicable standards on test conditions and statistical analysis is suggested. It includes a general guide to planning, performing and analysing data from reliability tests. The environmental and operational conditions available as IEC standards are referred.

  • In this study we reported the Smoke Density values of interior materials of railroad passenger car and investigated the specific smoke density(Ds) by NBS smoke chamber to the variance of some test conditions. First we compared the result of Ds from ISO 5659-2 with that from ASTM E 662 for same material. Secondary studied the Ds value to the variance of specimen shape and thickness and to the variance of other conditions.

  • Static formulae based on limiting equilibrium theories often provide misleading predictions of pile bearing capacity in cohesionless soils due to the incorrect basic assumptions or oversimplification of actual soil conditions. Soil conditions prior to pile driving are significantly changed after pile installation and imposition of high stress levels. Therefore soi1 parameters at failure rather than those obtained at initial conditions should be used in application of static formulae. In this research. model pile test data were analyzed and compared with the predicted values obtained from the various static formulae. The results showed that the proper choice of soil parameters remarkably improve the reliability of static formulae.

  • The conditions for measurement of the interior noise should meet the international standards. However, due to the limitations in test conditions the possible errors in measurement equipment, reliability of the measurement results has been questioned. Hence, the test procedure for the interior noise measurement of KTX vehicles are reviewed and investigated with the reference of international standards. Furthermore, the acceptable tolerance is inspected through the analysis of the factors that influence the interior noise of the KTX vehicle.

  • 비파괴 시험을 이용한 RC 구조물의 진단에 있어서 비파괴 측정값의 적절한 해석을 통해서만 현 구조물의 상태진단이 가능하다. 보다 정확한 구조물의 상태진단은 비파괴 시험의 정밀성, 변이성 등과 같은 여러 가지 요소에 의하여 좌우된다. 특히 비파괴 시험을 이용한 측정값과 구조물의 상태에 있어서의 불확실성은 정밀한 상태진단에 큰 영향을 미친다. 본 논문은 현재 사용이 증가되고 있는 비파괴 장비의 올바른 선택과 정확한 구조물의 진단을 위하여, 비파괴 측정값의 확률적 해석법의 기초를 제공하고 있다.

  • Flight test is the final and a mandatory process for the development of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs) as well as manned. Since most UAVs fly in a low speed and are prone to adverse weather conditions such as air turbulence, atmospheric weather environment around flight test regions will be a critical item to be considered for a flight test planning for UAVs. In this paper, we suggest a decision method for a UAV flight test schedule based on weather conditions of surface and upper atmospheres and also introduce a program for an effective flight test planning through weather forecasts.
