PC 기반의 다이싱 공정 자동화 시스템 개발

  • In this study, PC-based dicing machine and driving software were constructed for the purpose of automation of wafer cutting process. To automate the machine, hard automation including vision, loading, and software were considered in the development. Auto loading device and vision system were adopted for the increase of productivity, GUI software programmed for the expedient operation. The dicing machine is operated by the control algorithm and some parameters. It is verified that this kind of PC based automation has a great potential compared with the conventional dicing machine when applied to manufacturing some kinds of wafers as a test purpose.

  • The New Distribution Automation System(NDAS) was composed of several equipments, computer system, communication system, feeder remote unit, switches and so on. In this paper, we introduce the conception of hardware and software design about Central Control System, the communication method and protocol in Feeder Remote Unit, the Automatic Switch, the operating software, consideration factors in the feeder automation(FA) and the system configuration of NDAS in power distribution test center.

Reliability Evaluation of a Distribution System with wind Turbine Generators Based on the Switch-section Partitioning Method

  • Considering the randomness and uncertainty of wind power, a reliability model of WTGs is established based on the combination of the Weibull distribution and the Markov chain. To analyze the failure mode quickly, we use the switch-section partitioning method. After defining the first-level load zone node, we can obtain the supply power sets of the first-level load zone nodes with each WTG. Based on the supply sets, we propose the dynamic division strategy of island operation. By adopting the fault analysis method with the attributes defined in the switch-section, we evaluate the reliability of the distribution network with WTGs using a sequential Monte Carlo simulation method. Finally, using the IEEE RBTS Bus6 test system, we demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed model and method by comparing different schemes to access the WTGs.

  • A study on the system automation for the nitrogen splash slag coating in Basic Oxygen Blowing Furnace (BOF) is described. The engineers are trying to do their best efforts to increase the life of converter lining by developing improved refractory material and optimal operation techniques in the steel plants, A new slag coating method is needed to reduce the erosion rates of the refractory. In the current slag costing method, the BOF was swung back and forth. The new method uses the oxygen lance to blow the residual slag to the walls and cone of the converter. The nitrogen gas is used for blowing. This method is developed based on the automation process at factory in POSCO dated on the May 1998. The test results of nitrogen splash slag coating system for the BOF at POSCO are show to show the effectiveness of the system.

  • In this paper, the automation of sweeping center setting for wavelength swept laser used in SS-OCT has implemented. For 3 regions where the initial FFP-TF pass wavelength can be located, each different DC voltage pattern is applied to FFP-TF. Through its performance test to the laser, fast and exact setting to sweeping central wavelength, flat sweeping with ${\pm}0.5dB$ fluctuation range, and 10 mW average optical power were obtained. This shows that the realized automatic setting process can replace an inconvenient manual setting operation used for current wavelength swept laser. Additionally it cuts costs for optical spectrum analyzer necessary to laser spectrum monitoring.

  • In this paper, the tube forming by radial-forward extrusion is analyzed by numerical simulation and experiments. The paper discusses the effect of process variables such as gap height, relative gap width and die comer radius on tube forming. The influence of deformation patterns of flange in radial extrusion on forward extrusion for tube forming is investigated and summarized in terms of the maximum forming force and hardness variations along the extrusion path. Furthermore the external defects are shown experimentally during the forming operation. Based on finite element analysis in conjunction with experimental test in Al alloy, analysis is performed for important parameter combination in order to reduce forming defects. Eventually, the process parameters for safe forming are suggested in order to reduce the forming defects.

  • Many manufacturing companies manage their production-related data for quality management and production management. Nevertheless, production related-data should be closely related to each other Stored data is mainly used to monitor their process and products' error. In this paper, we provide an enterprise-wide production data model for decision support system and product automation. Process data, quality-related data, and test data are integrated to identify the process inter or intra dependency, the yield forecasting, and the trend of process status. In addition, it helps the manufacturing decision support system to decide critical manufacturing problems.

  • This paper deals with automatic system of acoustic noise detection for realization of factory automation. The existing inspection process of failure products has mostly been executed in hand by rich-experienced workers. It is difficult to accomplish effectively or systematically the failure test of products owing to the diversality of ill-conditions. But the problem about it must be solved in viewpoint of cost down and factory automation in addition to the reliability of products. The necessity of automatic inspection system to inspect automatically undesirable acoustic noise of products which is one of the kinds of failure is suggested, and the procedure to develope it and the function of each system components are explained briefly.

Feeder Reconfiguration Using Binary Coding Particle Swarm Optimization

  • This paper proposes an effective approach based on binary coding Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to identify the switching operation plan for feeder reconfiguration. The proposed method considers the advantages and disadvantages of existing particle swarm optimization method and redefined the operators of PSO algorithm to fit the application field of distribution systems. Shift operator is proposed to construct the binary coding particle swarm optimization for feeder reconfiguration. A typical distribution system of Taiwan Power Company is used in this paper to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The test results show that the proposed method can apply to feeder reconfiguration problems more effectively and stably than existing method.

Predictive Control Algorithms for Adaptive Optical Wavefront Correction in Free-space Optical Communication

  • To handle the servo delay in a real-time adaptive optics system, a linear subspace system identification algorithm was employed to model the system, and the accuracy of the system identification was verified by numerical calculation. Experimental verification was conducted in a real test bed system. Through analysis and comparison of the experimental results, the convergence can be achieved only 200 times with prediction and 300 times without prediction. After the wavefront peak-to-valley value converges, its mean values are 0.27, 4.27, and 10.14 ㎛ when the communication distances are 1.2, 4.5, and 10.2 km, respectively. The prediction algorithm can effectively improve the convergence speed of the peak-to-valley value and improve the free-space optical communication performance.
