Also, We studied changes of discharge pattern for constant input power by adjustment of the Reynolds number(Re) and T. The essentiales of this paper are as followers. The invaluable equation obtained from this experiment is [%]$\frac{Vs}{Re}$=A+B${\varepsilon}^{c{\cdot}Re}$ where A=10.5 B=120 $C=-3.00{\times}10^{-5}$ Breakdown Voltage for Variation of temperature in static air is given by expression Vs = K (23.98 ${\rho}$d+6.8 ${\sqrt}{{\rho}d}$)[kV] The discharge pattern can be controlled by adjustment of the Reynolds number.

  • It is a main object to find out the effect of curvature of pipe on the thermal flow field in copper pipe. the toroidal coordinate system is chosen for this project. 3-D numerical works are done by a commercial code, PHOENICS. The flow and temperature field are simulated and analysed on the view point of variation of pressure and temperature with Dean number. The results show that the strong recirculation phenomena and secondary flow are established and then a lot of pressure drop along main flow direction occurs at the curved portion of pipe and the temperature variation has a reversed trend of pressure variation along the axis of pipe.

  • The present study estimated the variation of early survival of chum salmon families with respect to temperature and size after transfer to seawater. Heritability for seawater tolerance of half-sib families was also estimated at 45 days after hatching. Gametes were collected from 6 male and 18 female chum salmon to make 18 paternal half-sib families. Seawater tests were carried out at 3, 7 and $12^{\circ}C$ of $32\%$ seawater and compared with freshwater. Survival was significantly affected by seawater temperature. The highest seawater tolerance was obtained in 45-day old chum salmon at $7^{\circ}C$ seawater and the lowest seawater tolerance was obtained at $3^{\circ}C$. Overall survivals in seawater tolerance at $32\%$ varied among families. There were significant variance in fry survival among females (P=0.0001), and among males (P=0.0001). The heritabilities of survival in seawater in chum salmon were estimated to be 0.32-0.34 for the sire components at 45 days after hatching in 1998.

  • In this paper, I try to measure the electrical characteristics of PV cell for lanterns with solar simulator and simulated with PC1D software. I keep my eye on the characteristics variation of PV cell as a temperature change. Therefore, I try to increase a temperature of controlled block from $10^{\circ}C$ to $50^{\circ}C$ while measuring the PV cell. As a result, A variation caused by voltage have an effect on the efficacy of PV cell. Hence, it is an important variable when a designer plan to make a solar cell for lanterns.

  • The roll gap set-up in the finishing mill is one of the most important technologies in the hot plate rolling process. As the target thickness can be obtained by the correct set-up of the roll gap, improving the roll gap set-up technology is very critical for plate thickness accuracy. The main cause of thickness variation in hot plate mills is the non-uniform temperature distribution along the length of the slab. The objective of this study is to adjust the roll gap set-up for the thickness accuracy of plate in hot rolling process considering top-end temperature drop. Therefore this study has concentrated on determining the correct amounts of roll gap to compensate thickness variation due to top-end temperature drop. The off-line simulation of compensated roil gap significantly decreases top-end thickness variation.

  • This study is to investigate adhesive properties depending on the temperature, humidity, and freeze-thraw of the Steel plate adhesive strengthening method by the epoxy resin. The results are summarized as following. For the temperature variation, the debonding failure appear only after 1 cycle of temperature varoation because the coefficient of thermal expansion of the epoxy resin is comparatively large, and the bonding strength is decreased. The deformation properties and ultrasonic pulse velocity on each materials are similar until 4 cycles on the dry and moisture test. As the freeze-thraw test, the epoxy resin is degraded easily subjected to freeze-thaw cycle, comparatively easy, so the debonding failure may occur in short term because of the freeze-thaw repeatition.p

  • This paper presents the integrated technique of water quality analysis and Geographic Information System(GIS) for assessing the variation of free chlorine residuals by water temperature and supply distance in Sangri water supply system in Daegu. GIS was utilized for mapping projectmap, extraction of a pipeline route, and supply distance. Free chlorine residual is analyzed every month for appraising the seasonal variation. As a result, free chlorine residuals are affected both water temperature and water supply distance, and it becomes worse as water temperature and water supply distance is increased. To maintain 0.4mg/l of free chlorine residual, initial dose concentration should be over 1.85mg/l in summer.

  • To control the frost formation, a temperature variation of the cooling plate and characteristics on hydrophilic and hydrophobic surfaces was attempted. As a temperature variation of the cooling plate, being closely related to the frost layer density of frost layer is found to be affected by the melting process inside the frost layer during the heating period. At characteristics on surface, completely different structures of frost are appeared in the initial stage of frost formation due to the difference in surface conditions, while those effects are vanished with time. It is found that the frost thickness, density and heat flux characteristics are closely associated with the frost structure.
