This paper is focused on the desirable improvement schemes of the local network of information and telecommunication network. In this study, we examined whether polices of information and telecommunication of government have been carried out a desirable programme to meet the public interest, found out several problems in the these policies. Such problems as follows : (1) a system of local information & telecommunication is developing by a Model of Top-Down. In the present management system, an interest of the public of local society about the local telecommunication network is a much lower level, (2) there is no general controlling roll of the local information & telecommunication, (3) there is no service controlling system of local telecommuni-cation, and (4) there is no organic coordinating system of inter-departments in the central government level. In order to resolve these problems, this study suggests a few desirable sxhemes for the local telecommunication : (1) an establishment of middle-long range planning for the integrated future network of info-telecommunication, (2) an organizing of telecommunication network being suitable for the local characteristics toward B-ISDN.

광가입자망의 궁극적인 목표라 할 수 있는 FTTH 서비스가 일부 지역에서 시범사업이 진행되고 있고, 금년 8월부터는 KT가 PON을 이 용한 FTTH 서비스를 제공할 예정이다. FTTH 서 비스를 위해서는 전송장치 및 서비스 개발과 동시에 전화국사에서 가입자까지 이르는 전송매개체인 광선로시설에 대한 효율적이고, 경제적인 구축 기술을 필요로 하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 FTTH구축을 위해 소요되는 선로시설을 대상으로 기술적 특징을 조사 분석하고, 주요 시설별 기능요구사항 및 선로시설 구축에 요구되는 특성 등을 분석하였다.

본고에서는 WDM-PON 기반의 FTTH 망구축 사례를 소개하고 실제 망구축에서 발생할 수 있는 문제점들을 분석하여, 향후 FTTH 활성화에 대비하고자 한다.

국내의 통신망은 효율적인 유지보수를 위하여 도로를 따라 기반시설이 구축되고 있기 때문에 전력망과 통신망의 교차와 병행이 가속화되고 있다. 전력망은 전력유도를 발생시킬 뿐만 아니라, 낙뢰와 같은 전기적 과도현상으로부터 그 자체가 전송매체로 되기 때문에 전력망 지중 접지체와 통신망 지중 접지체간을 통하여 낙뢰서지 및 지락선 과도 현상이 통신망에 유도되어 악영향을 초래한다. 본 연구에서는 통신망의 보호대책으로 지중접지체간의 이격거리를 통한 귀로전류의 차단과 양쪽 단자의 유휴심선을 접지하여 전력유도전압을 차폐하는 방법이 우수한 효과를 나타냄을 확인 할 수 있었다.

In this paper, we describe ubiquitous environments and the trend of convergence that is an evolution path of. current telecommunication, and show the concept of broadband convergence network, service feature and evolution path. In order to converge wire and wireless communication, telecommunication and broadcasting, voice and data efficiently, broadband convergence network divides a network into service layer, control layer, transport layer, ubiquitous access and terminal layer. Broadband convergence network will be a network that can provide and control broadband multimedia services with QoS and security of different and customized level. Then we depict characteristics and types of broadband multimedia service, and describe the characteristic of broadband convergence network. Finally, we show ubiquitous network based on the broadband convert- gence network to provide ubiquitous service which is a future telecommunication service. We also describe requirements of ubiquitous network such as an intelligent and context based platform, convergence terminals, ubi- quitous computing devices, etc.

Recent telecommunication technology trends have made possible the concept of Intelligent Network, which is expected to lead to additional revenues for both telecommunication administers as well as business service customers. In this paper international Korea Telecommunication Network configuration with special services are described and introducing the Intelligent Network Services into the international Korea Telecommunication Network in a phased manner is studied considering of interworking between international and domestic Intelligent Network services.

현재 전화국 통신 시설물에 대한 상면 배치 및 배선의 설계와 공사 업무의 관리는 2차원 도면 설계 툴과 별도의 물자 산출 툴에 의해 수행되고 있다. 사용자 편의를 고려한 3차원 도면 설계 툴이 있기는 하지만 통신 시설물 공사에 최적화된 툴은 없으며 주로 기계 설계나 금형 설계 작업에서 부분적으로 사용되고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 실제 환경에 가까운 3차원 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스에 의한 도면 설계 기능, 설계된 도면 DB와 물자 단가 DB의 연동을 통한 소요 물자의 자동 산출 기능 등을 수행하는 시스템 모델의 개념을 제시하고 개발 현황을 소개하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 소개된 시스템을 통해 전화국 통신 시설물에 대한 설계와 공사 업무의 편리화, 자동화, 일원화를 이룰 수 있을 것이다.

본 연구는 미래 정보화사회에 적합한 정보통신망을 구축하기 위하여 이용자들의 요구, 현재의 정보통신망의 실태, 정보통신 참여기업들의 비젼방향을 분석하여 미래 정보통신망 발전방향을 제시하고져 한다. 본 연구는 문헌적 및 설문지 조사방법에 의해 정보통신망의 중장기계획의 필요성 및 정보통신망 구조조정변화를 가져야 하며, 이에 의해 정보통신의 구조개편, 정보통신사업자의 공정경쟁확립, 선진국간 정보통신 협상시 다자간 협상 유도, 정보통신망 분야에 기술적 수준이 우수한 중소기업체의 적극지원 및 각종 세제혜택으로 정보통신망 개발을 촉진시킬수 있도록 유도하므로서 미래 정보통신망 발전방향을 제시하고져 한다.

This paper gives reviews on current research status in telecommunication network design. Two problems are identified as major research issues. One is the WDM network design problem, where traffic grooming, virtual topology design and routing and wavelength assignment problems are considered. The other is the OSPF weight setting problem which was proposed as a practical method to implement traffic engineering capability in IP networks. After presenting surveys on those problems, we discuss potential challenging research issues in telecommunication network design.

FTTH 가입자망 구축을 하기 위해 기존 시가지나 주택지역에 있는 통신 관로 시설을 분석한 바에 의하면 그 사용률이 약 71%에 이르고 있는 실정이며, 시설도 낙후되어 실제로 현장에서 사용하고자 하면 바로 사용할 수 없는 시설들이 상당히 존재하고 있다. 이를 위해서 본 연구에서는 FTTH을 구축하기 위한 통신기초시설의 수요를 사전에 예측하여 효율적이고 경제적인 투자방향을 모색해 보았다.
