  • The factory information provided by the Industrial Location Information System (ILIS) is provided as raw data by the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation and registered after a filtering process, so the new factory information update is slow. In this study, to solve the problem of updating factory information of industrial location information system, using building data of road name address with relatively fast renewal cycle and building data of real estate, we compared the factory information of existing ILIS and extracted new factory information. In the process of comparison, a method was proposed to compare spatial objects of different types with point data and polygon data. Attribute information matching and object matching were performed, and attribute values of new factory information were extracted. The accuracy evaluation of the proposed spatial analysis method showed 79% accuracy, and the above matching technique was used to confirm the possibility of convergence of road name address data, real estate data and factory information of ILIS.

  • This paper is a study on the improvement of industrial land information system. Status and problems of current industrial land information system is analyzed to establish objectives and methods and direction of improving the system based on our analysis. Since the industrial land information system is using outdated H/W and commercial S/W, there exists problems such as large maintenance cost, difficulty of immediate response for system problems and limited access of searching and providing information. In this paper, the problems of current system is resolved through applying the "e-Government standard framework" and open source S/W. And we suggested application of functions on information link enhancement and visualization through this research. Our research is expected to be applicable for analyzing/designing and developing system improvement in the future.

  • The electrolyzed sterilizing water is useful functional aqueous solution, which is produced by electrolyzing aqueous solution. Electrolytic supplement such as salt or hydrochloric acid is added into tap water. Electrolyzed sterilizing water is classified as three types; strongly acidic electrolyzed water, weakly acidic electrolyzed water, and sodium hypochlorite water. In this study, preparation principles, advantages, and disadvantages of electrolyzed sterilizing water were analyzed. The technology trend in electrolyzed sterilizing water was analyzed based on patent application year, countries, main applicants, and each technologies.

  • The objective of this study was to determine the effects of high pressure to investigate the technical functional properties of the protein solution extracted from an edible insect, Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis. High pressure processing was performed at 0 (control), 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 MPa at 35℃. The essential amino acid index of the control was lower (p<0.05) than that of the P. brevitarsis seulensis extract treated with 100 MPa. The SDS-PAGE patterns tended to become faint at approximately 75 kDa and thicker at approximately 37 KDa after high pressure treatment. The protein solubility and pH of the protein tended to increase as the hydrostatic pressure levels increased. The instrument color values (redness and yellowness) of the P. brevitarsis seulensis protein treated with high pressure were lower (p<0.05) than those of the control. The forming capacity of the protein solution with P. brevitarsis seulensis treated with high pressure was higher (p<0.05) than that of the control. In conclusion, we confirmed that the technical functional properties of edible insect proteins extracted under high pressure of 200 MPa are improved. Our results indicate that high pressure can improve the technical functional properties of proteins from edible insects.

  • Vinyl acetate monomer can be polymerized through bulk, solution, emulsion, and suspension polymerization processes. However, in the preparation of PVA from bulk or solution polymerization, there are several technical limitations for obtaining high yield and high molecular weight simultaneously. Thus, the improvement of polymerization method is necessary to prepare the PVA with high yield and high molecular weight because that the difficulty in control of high viscosity and in removal of the heat of polymerization, which might lead to side reactions like branching. • A procedure employing a Teaching-Learning Based Optimization (TLBO) method is developed to design discrete pin jointed structures. TLBO process consists of two parts: the first part represents learning from teacher and the second part illustrates learning by interaction among the learners. The results are compared with those obtained using other various evolutionary optimization methods considering the best solution, average solution, and computational effort. Consequently, the TLBO algorithm works effectively and demonstrates remarkable performance for the optimization of engineering design applications.

  • Considered here is the first initial boundary value problem for the two-dimensional g-Navier-Stokes equations in bounded domains. We first study the long-time behavior of strong solutions to the problem in term of the existence of a global attractor and global stability of a unique stationary solution. Then we study the long-time finite dimensional approximation of the strong solutions.

  • The Permanent Way consisting of rails and sleeper laid on ballast is a technically and economically viable solution. After two decades of targeted research and development activities Slab Track turned out to be a reasonable option on special fields. Slab Track proves that especially under extreme condition and loads - they reliably help stability and a long service life of track. Technical and experimental solution of slab track are particularly underlined. This paper presents a few Results of the experiments of SFRC slab tracks under fatigue load.

  • We investigate multi user joint rate scheduling and power allocation problem for a delay sensitive CDMA systems. First, we characterize the existing two user joint rate scheduling and power allocation. We then extend the problem to the case of the multi user systems. In general, there is no simple optimum solution for the multi user scheduling problem. To that end, we propose a sub optimum solution, termed 'virtual user approach'. We show the performance of the virtual user approach to verify the benefit of complexity.

  • This paper deals with the applicability of extended layerwise optimization method (ELOM) for frequency optimization of laminated composite plates. The design objective is the maximization of the fundamental frequency of the laminated plates. The fibre orientations in the layers are considered as design variables. The first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) is used for the finite element solution of the laminates. Finally, the numerical analysis is carried out to show the applicability of extended layerwise optimization algorithm of laminated plates for different parameters such as plate aspect ratios and boundary conditions.
