Since my arrival on March 15, 1986 I can only give an overview of several topics which I think might stimulate ideas and questions from the members of this technical organization. These topics will include some thoughts about the Korean automotive industry, future needs regarding manpower and cooperation among manufacturers, the oil industry and the government. Korea is experiencing a tremendous growth not only in the export market but also in domestic sales of motor vehicles. This expansion will require trained manpower in many areas of expertise. This growth in technology and manpower will require a great degree of coordination and cooperation between companies and government to reduce duplication, minimize costs and reduce reliance on foreign technology.

This is briefly to introduce about design and construction method newly adopted in Incheon bridge construction site. The Incheon Bridge Project are divided into 3 parts, that is Cable Stayed Bridge. Viaduct Bridge and Approach Bridge. In this paper, we will describe overview and construction sequence of each kind part.

This paper gives a survey to robotics research and application in France. After a overview of French position in world market, an analysis on the R & D effort and technical peculiarity are presented. In view of the increasing needs for international co-operation in advanced robotics, the author points out the French option as a diversifing source.

Proper understanding of fundamental lubrication theory and formulation knowledge is necessary to develop new gear oils. This paper provides an overview on fundamentals of lubrication theory and functions of each additive. Also, key technical issues facing gear oils are discussed.

기술성과측정은 항공기 등 대형 개발사업에 수십 년 동안 널리 사용되어 왔으며, 항공기 체계 개발 요구사항에 충족되지 않는 부적합한 사항들을 식별할 수 있는 유용한 방법으로 인식되어 왔다. 뿐만 아니라 개발 프로그램의 문제점에 대한 조기 경고를 하고, 기술적 위험을 감시할 수 있게 함으로써 성능, 비용을 절감할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 기술성능 측정방법에 관한 개괄적인 내용과 성능파라미터 선정에 내용을 기술하고, 국내에서 개발하고자 하는 KHP 개발사업 등 항공기 개발사업에 대한 적용 제시하고자 한다.

A new DTPP (Desk-Top Program Production) system has been developed that enables multiple program producers (directors) working at different locations to collaborate over a computer network and prepare a single program for broadcasting. In this system, information is shared among users by exchanging data edited on non-linear editing terminals in program post-production work over a network in real time. In short, the new DTPP system provides a collaborative work space for producing TV programs. The system does not make use of a special server for collaborative work but rather multiple interconnected editing terminals having the same functions. In this configuration, data at a terminal which has just been edited by some operation is forwarded to all other connected terminals for updating. This form of information sharing, however, requires that some sort of data synchronizing method be established since multiple terminals are operating on the same data simultaneously. We therefore adopt a method whereby the system synchronizes the clocks on each terminal at the time of connection and sends an operation time stamp together with edited data. This enables most recently modified data to be identified and all information on all terminals to be updated appropriately. This paper provides an overview of this new collaborative DTPP system and describes the techniques for exchanging edited data and synchronizing data.

기술의 발전과 사회/환경변화, WTO/TBT 및 FTA 협정 이행을 위한 국제표준 도입 등 대내 외적 환경에 능동적/선제적으로 대처하기 위하여 국제표준 수준의 규정인 한국전기규정(KEC) 제정(안)을 개발하고 있다. 한국전기규정(KEC)은 국제표준인 IEC를 근간으로 하고, 상세사항은 DIN, BS, NEC 등의 선진표준을 참조, 국내외 표준들의 비교/조사를 통한 개발을 목적으로 제정 중에 있다. 한국전기규정(KEC)은 제1편 공통분야와 제2편 저압전기설비분야, 제3편 고압전기설비분야, 제4편 지능형전력망분야 등 총 4편으로 구성되며 이 중 피뢰시스템은 IEC 62305를 기초로 하여 제정되었다. 본 논문에서 한국전기규정(KEC) 제1편 제5부 피뢰시스템분야에 대한 중요사항에 대해 제시하였다.
