A STUDY ON POROSITY FORMATION IN COMPOSITE RESIN FILLING MATERIALS (복합(復合)레진충전물내(充塡物內)의 기포형성(氣泡形成)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • Five different labelled composite resin, Hypol (Korea), Glass-Ionomer (Japan), Simulate (U.S.A.), Durafil (U.S.A.) and Microfil (U.S.A.) were collected to employ for this experimental study. The purpose of the study is to determine the effect of finger pressure technic and traditional filling by means of plastic instruments on porosity formation in composite materials. Each material with pressure and non-pressure cases were carefully examined under electron microscope. Following were the results obtained through the study. 1. Pressured cases showed smaller number of porosity and the size of porosity was significantly smaller than non-pressured cases in each mateial. 2. Glass-Ionomer with pressure cases were seen as tube-like appearance because of pressured small porosities communicate in a certain direction. 3. Durafil cases both pressured and non pressured, appeared the least porosity formation. among the materiats. 4. Border line between the outmost periphery of the porosity and matrix of the resin in both pressured or non-pressured eases were found characteristically clear in Mierofil cases.

  • 본 논문에서는 인간의 신체 중 가장 편리하고 자주 사용되는 손을 인식하여 기계와 사람의 상호작용이 가능하게 하여 보다 편리한 기계의 사용이 이루어질 수 있도록 손인식을 통한 마우스제어 방법을제시하였다. CCD웹캠으로 받은 영상에서 스킨컬러 값을 기반으로 손영역을 추출하여 손동작을 인식하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 논문의 알고리즘의 장점은 손의 추출과 손가락 개수 파악이 저 사항의 환경에서도 빠르게 영상처리가 가능하다는 것이다. 이러한 장점을 이용하여 실생활에 적용, 기계와 더 편리한 커뮤니케이션의 방안을 제시한다.

  • The author observed thy actual position of apical foramen and the radiographic appearance of files when the files were filled through canals to the external surface of apical foramen in 280 canals of extracted teeth. All the teeth were radiographed by bisecting technic and once again Walton's projection was employed on mandibular molars. The results were as followings. 1. Sixty five percents of 280 canals were actually classed as having foramina deviant from true apex of root. 2. 160 of 280 canals(Fifty seven percents) appeared to be filled short of apex on the radiograph. 3. When Walton's projection was employed to open up two mesial canals of mandibular molars and compared to straight-on projection, twelve of 120 canals Ten percent appeared to be different in radiographic appearence.

  • The task of image denoising is gaining popularity in the computer vision research field. Its main objective of restoring the sharp image from given noisy input is demanded in all image processing procedure. In this work, we treat the process of residual hair removal on faces images similar to the task of image denoising. In particular, our method removes the residual hair that presents on the frontal or profile face images and in-paints it with the relevant skin color. To achieve this objective, we employ a deep neural network that able to perform both tasks in one time. Furthermore, simple technic of residual hair color augmentation is introduced to increase the number of training data. This approach is beneficial for improving the robustness of the network. Finally, we show that the experimental results demonstrate the superiority of our network in both quantitative and qualitative performances.

Multi-Class Classification Framework for Brain Tumor MR Image Classification by Using Deep CNN with Grid-Search Hyper Parameter Optimization Algorithm

  • Histopathological analysis of biopsy specimens is still used for diagnosis and classifying the brain tumors today. The available procedures are intrusive, time consuming, and inclined to human error. To overcome these disadvantages, need of implementing a fully automated deep learning-based model to classify brain tumor into multiple classes. The proposed CNN model with an accuracy of 92.98 % for categorizing tumors into five classes such as normal tumor, glioma tumor, meningioma tumor, pituitary tumor, and metastatic tumor. Using the grid search optimization approach, all of the critical hyper parameters of suggested CNN framework were instantly assigned. Alex Net, Inception v3, Res Net -50, VGG -16, and Google - Net are all examples of cutting-edge CNN models that are compared to the suggested CNN model. Using huge, publicly available clinical datasets, satisfactory classification results were produced. Physicians and radiologists can use the suggested CNN model to confirm their first screening for brain tumor Multi-classification.

  • Recently a variety of high technologies for radiation therapy (IMRT, SRS,. 3D-RT, etc.) has been developed. For the cervical and rectal cancer, 3field or 4field radiotherapy have been applied to the patients. In the case of two-dimensional treatment, one of the most typical side-effects is skin burn due to the radiation irradiation. In general the skin dose is evaluated by only a single measurement during the whole treatment period. In this study, however, skin dose was measured in each radiation treatment and the total skin dose was accumulated in a glass dosimeter through all the cases. After simulating the skin dose from treatment planning system, the results were compared with the actual skin doses. The results showed a good agreement between two data sets. Even though there are certain amount of errors caused by the patient movement along the treatment, the difference between actual dose and simulated dose was within the accepted range of error.

  • Shale gas has caused a change in the dynamics of gas market since development of horizontal drilling technic and hydraulic fracturing technic caused its commercial production. The commercial amount of shale gas is 187.5 trillions $m^3$ so human can use it for 59 years and the amount will increase in the future. Several nations such as USA, Canada, China and Russia have more and more interested in shale gas as a futuristic major energy source. In accordance with this trend in the world, the amount of studying theses for development of shale gas have increased so their theses became important increasingly. The number of searched theses (1986 ~ The first half of 2013) is 3,468 and has increased recently. Among 89 nations studying shale gas, USA has 637 theses as No.1 in the world. 1,813 global studying institutes have studied shale gas; in the analysis result of several studying institutes, US geological survey institute was ranked as No.1 for the quality level of shale gas study and intensity of global cooperation.

Design and Implementation of an Alternate System Interconnect based on PCI Express (PCI Express 기반 시스템 인터커넥트의 설계 및 구현)

  • PCI Express is a well-known and widely used de-facto system bus standard for connecting among a processor and IO devices. PCI Express is originated from old PCI standard, and its most of applications are limited to be used within a PC or server system. But, because of its fast speed, low power consumption, and good protocol efficiency, it is considered as one of a good candidate for an alternate system interconnect for many years. In this paper, we present design, implementation and early evaluation of an alternate system interconnect by utilizing PCI Express. The developed alternate system interconnect using PCI Express (named PCIeLINK) utilizes non-transparent bridging (NTB) technic which generally used in fail-over system in PCI and PCI Express. By using NTB technic, PCI Express device can be extended to outside of a system without electrical and logical problems arising during system boot and enumeration. To build up an alternate system interconnect, we designed and implemented a network interface card having multiple PCI Express ${\times}4$ connections (theoretically 20 Gbps) and tested, The early test results revealed that an ${\times}4$ port in the card showed 8.6 Gbps peak performance for bulk transmission and 5.1 Gbps peak for normal TCP/IP transfer.

Evaluation of Dose According to the Volume and Respiratory Range during SBRT in Lung Cancer (폐암의 정위적 체부 방사선치료 시 체적 설정과 호흡주기에 따른 선량평가)

  • Stereotactic body radiotherapy is effective technic in radiotherapy for low stage lung cancer. But lung cancer is affected by respiratory so accurately concentrate high dose to the target is very difficult. In this study, evaluated the target volume according to how to take the image. And evaluated the dose by photoluminescence glass dosimeter according to how to contour the volume and respiratory range. As a result, evaluated the 4D CT volume was 10.4 cm3 which was closest value of real size target. And in dose case is internal target volume dose was 10.82, 16.88, 21.90 Gy when prescribed dose was 10, 15, 20 Gy and it was the highest dose. Respiratory gated radiotherapy dose was more higher than internal target volume. But it made little difference by respiratory range. Therefore, when moving cancer treatment, acquiring image by 4D CT, contouring internal target volume and respiratory gated radiotherapy technic would be the best way.

Analysis on Satisfaction of Nursing Services for Elderly hospitalized in Attended Ward and General Ward (입원 노인환자를 대상으로 안심병동과 일반병동의 간호서비스 만족도 비교)

  • This study is to provide basic data for the improvement of nursing services. A survey was done of 135 patients over the age of 65 in a general ward and an attended ward of a hospital in Seoul from December 5 to December 31, 2014 in order to assess their satisfaction with the nursing services. It was found that appropriately staffed nursing services as in attended wards showed greater patients' satisfaction than ordinarily staffed nursing services in general wards(t=3.45, p=.001). Significantly higher satisfaction levels were shown with the nursing services of the attended wards in the subcategories: professional technic(t=2.96, p=.004), training(t=.30, p=.001), and confidence(t=3.79, p<.001). Among the subcategories, confidence was the highest satisfaction factor followed by professional technic and education. The results suggest the need of securing an appropriate number of nursing staff in a ward to enhance patients' satisfaction.
