가상 팀의 교류활성기억 시스템과 팀 성과의 관계 : 가상 팀 속성을 선행요인으로 (Transactive Memory System of a Virtual Team : Theoretical Exploration and Empirical Examination)

  • 가상 팀은 구성원들이 지리적으로 떨어져 있고 기술로 매개된 환경하에서 주로 협업하기 때문에 대면접촉을 위주로 하는 전통적인 팀에 비하여 팀의 교류활성기억 시스템 (Transactive Memory System:TMS) 구축이 더욱 중요한 것으로 간주되고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 TMS 이론을 중심으로 이론적 고찰 및 선행 변수를 탐색함으로써, 가상 팀의 효과적인운영을 위한 학문적 실무적 시사점을 제공하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 문헌조사를 통하여 가상 팀의 성과를 예측하는 이론적 모형을 개발하였다. 먼저 TMS를 구성하는 세가지 요인, 즉 (1) 전문성 파악, (2) 업무조정, (3) 인지기반 신뢰를 도출하였다. 그리고 TMS의 선행변인으로는 (1) 지각된 매체 풍부성, (2) 네트워크 연결강도, (3) 공유된 규범, (4) 지리적 거리등을 도출하였다. 제시된 이론적 모형을 검증하기 위하여 179개의 가상 팀을 대상으로 경로분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 가상 팀의 TMS를 구성하는 세가지 요인, 전문성 파악, 업무조정, 인지기반 신뢰는 가상 팀의 성과를 예측하는 결정적인 요인인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 TMS의 선행변인으로 제시된 지각된 매체 풍부성은 인지기반 신뢰에 유의한 정의 영향을 미치며, 네트워크 연결강도는 업무조정과 인지기반 신뢰에 유의한 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 공유된 규범은 가상 팀의 교류활성기억시스템 구성 요인 세 가지 모두에 유의한 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 예상과 달리, 구성원들 간의 지리적 거리는 TMS 세 가지 구성 요소 모두에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다.

식용 풋옥수수 수확 시험장치 설계 및 성능평가 (Performance Evaluation and Design of an Edible Fresh Corn Harvesting Machine)

  • In this study, an edible fresh corn harvest testing machine was designed and manufactured. And harvesting performance was analyzed through the field test. The testing machine is of the tractor attached type. It is connected to the tractor PTO shaft to transfer power to the each part of the harvesting machine. And it harvests fresh corn by one row through the processes of cutting, stem crushing, detaching, and collecting. The performance test was performed at PTO speed (540, 750, 1050 rpm, respectively), working speed (0.1, 0.15, 0.2 m/s, respectively), and cropping cultivation (row spacing·hill spacing 70·25 cm, 70·40 cm, 90·30 cm, respectively). The performance test was repeated three times in the 15 m section. The detachment loss ratio, uncollected crop ratio, damage ratio, and harvest ratio were analyzed. As a result of the performance test, it was analyzed that the PTO speed 540 rpm, running speed of 0.1 m/s, and row spacing·hill spacing 70·40 cm were the optimal condition.

건강가정 교육프로그램 개발에 관한 연구: 최소치 향상 원리의 팀 성과행동 코칭모델의 적용과 평가 (Development of an Educational Program for Healthy Families: Application of the Team Performance Coaching Model for Enhancing Minimum Team Performance and Its Evaluation)

  • This study aims to develop an educational program for healthy families using Christoph's team performance coaching (TPC) model and evaluate the program by program participant feedback. The educational program is unique in terms of helping the program participants measure the health level of their families, setting goals for the health improvement of their families based upon minimum family performance and seeking ways to achieve these goals. The educational program was designed as 3-hour-course for the convenience of implementing education and recruiting participants. The overall program was based on the characteristics and principles of coaching. Those with a master's degree or above and professional coaches were recruited as instructors. The first workshop for the instructors was conducted in 2 sessions, for 12 hours each (Dec 29-30, 2010 and Feb 12-13, 2011) and the second workshop was conducted Mar 25-26, 2011, for 12 hours. During the workshop for the instructors, the final education program was completed based upon the instructors' impression and evaluation. 8 instructors conducted the educational programs in educational institutions and facilities across the nation. The results of the program evaluated by 419 adults of education participants demonstrated the applicability of Christoph's team performance coaching model to the educational program for healthy family and its effects. If various educational programs with flexible education hours and content according to the needs of subject groups are developed, this educational program can be used as a basic educational program for in-depth education and further service for the improvement of family health.

Do Teams Perform Better than Singles? : Evidence from the Mutual Fund Industry in Korea

  • Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to investigate the potential benefits or detriments of team management on fund performance in the mutual fund market. An additional purpose of this study is to examine the optimal number of managers in a fund industry for superior performance. Research design, data, and methodology - This paper investigates the effect of managerial structure on fund performance in the Korean active mutual fund market between 2001 and 2008. For this, we analyze two risk-adjusted performances measures- the capital asset pricing model (CAPM) and the three-factor model of Fama & French (1993). Results - First, we found that single-managed funds exhibited superior performance. Second major finding was that as the number of managers in a fund increases, the fund performance deteriorates. Finally, the results reveal that the sharpest performance drop occurs when team size increases from a 5-person team to a 6-person team. Conclusions - The results suggest that the management structure can be a source of competitive advantage for fund performance. As considering fund performance is the outcome of managers' decision-making, this study contributes to not only the financial literature but also the literature in other areas, such as management and general business.

경영학 수업에서 팀 프로젝트활동과 수업만족에 관한 연구 (Team Project Activity and Satisfaction in Business Education)

  • 2010년도에 들어서면서 학령인구의 감소와 함께 고등학교 졸업생들의 대학진학률 하향추세로, 대학들은 학생 선발과 양질의 교육콘텐츠 제공이라는 2중의 어려움에 직면하고 있다. 이에 각 대학은 환경의 변화에 대한 신속한 대응과 동시에 다양하고 전문화된 대학교육서비스(팀기반 프로젝트학습, 사례연구, e-러닝, 액션러닝 등)를 도입하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 대학생을 대상으로 팀기반 프로젝트학습이 수업만족에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자 하였다. 이를 위한 측정항목으로 4개 요인(팀 응집력, 팀워크, 팀 성과 및 목표달성)을 설정하고, 설문조사(4개 과목, 34팀, 134명)를 통해서 자료를 수집하여, 구조방정식모형으로 분석했다. 연구모형검증 결과는 팀 응집력${\rightarrow}$팀워크${\rightarrow}$수업만족의 구조가 제시되었으며, 팀 성과와 목표달성은 수업만족에 미치는 영향이 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 팀기반 프로젝트학습의 경우 팀응집력이 높아야 수업만족정도가 높아지는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • Fairchild Green Mode off line buck switch for low standby power consumption and high reliability is presented. By reducing operating current and optimizing switching frequency, 20mW power consumption is achieved. High performance trans-conductance amplifier and green mode function improve the ripple and regulation in the output voltage. The conventional $FPS^{TM}$ buck and novel Fairchild buck switch are compared to show the improvement of performance. Experimental results are showed using 2W evaluation board.

  • In this paper, it is described the performance of the breast cancer detection system that is composed of sensing, RF signal and image reconstruction part. Especially in the reconstruction algorithm, the amplitude and the phase of electric fields are used as compare value. So we improved to get the stable values of measured amplitude and phase of electric fields. Through compare images of reconstruction, we confirmed the performance of improved system.

Balancing Efficiency and Flexibility in Software Project: The Role of Team Collective Improvisation, behavioral integration, and member diversity

  • The successful management of software (SW) projects is a continuous concern to managers, which is attributed to the contradictory demands that most projects are facing; meeting user requirements within time and budget limit while flexibly dealing risks during the progress of the projects. The present study asserts project performance and risk mitigation are not tradeoff but to be achieved simultaneously, which is called SW project ambidexterity. Drawing on the literature on organizational behavior, hypotheses are developed speculating the relation among project performance, risk mitigation, team collective improvisation, team behavioral integration, and team diversity. Using empirical data collected from 102 SW project teams of 507 team members in South Korea, empirical analysis indicates team collective improvisation is a significant antecedent to SW project ambidexterity, playing a pivotal role to balance the contradictory demands. Furthermore, team behavioral integration positively influences the degree of team collective improvisation, and the magnitude of the relation is partially contingent on the team members' age and major diversity. The present study advances theory by providing a context specific explanation about the SW project ambidexterity and its precedents.

  • The ECU which is operating inductive actuator like motor or solenoid should be designed with considering the heat removal performance and the EMC performance. In most cases, these two performances are trade-off. Especially, the metal cover with plastic housing for improving heat removal performance can affect EMC performance by coupling the noise source to harness cable and connector. Therefore, after analyzing the EMC effectiveness of the metal cover, countermeasures for EMC noise reduction should be established. In this paper, by simulating and testing of AHB Gen3 ECU, the influence of the metal cover to EMC performance is analyzed. And based on this result, we propose solutions for EMC noise reduction.

  • In order to obtain key technologies for a kW class internal humidifying proton-exchange-membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) a single cell with a large electrode area has been designed and manufactured and the performance of large area membrane/electrode assemblies (MEAs) has been evaluated by using the single cell. A small area MEA made of commercial E-TEK electrode and Nafion 117 membrane showed a performance of 0.7V, $300mA/cm^2$ whereas large area MEA made of catalyst layer on carbon support and Nafion 117 showed a lower performance. To improve the performance of large MEA direct coating of catalyst was carried out on the membrane using a screen printer.
