The Effects on Cognitive Psychology in Using Multimedia Teaching-Learning Contents (멀티미디어 교수-학습콘텐츠의 인지심리학적 효과)

  • Teaching-learning activities in a school class is influenced by the development of a information science in the 21 century. Recently, the instruction in a school class use a multimedia teaching-learning contents chiefly. A great number of teachers don't recognize a foundation of the effects on teaching-learning contents utilizing multimedia. In this paper, I propose to analyze and verify the foundation of effects on cognitive psychology of multimedia teaching-learning contents. The principal method of this study is to synthesize and analyze researches of scholars or literature study largely. In this paper, the foundations of effects on multimedia teaching-learning contents are following: the dual encoding of information process, the skill on direction and speed-regulation of learning, and the others educational strength. The theoretical conviction in multimedia teaching-learning contents is operated as the confidence of education contents & media utilized by teachers and learners, and is anticipated as the growth of the quantitative and qualitative learning activities.

A Study of the Effect on Mathematical Learning Achievement and Disposition in a Class Using Level Orientated Teaching Method (초등학생의 학급 내 수준별 수업을 통한 수학 학업성취도 및 수학적 성향 변화 연구)

  • This research were to develop and apply an educational program for 6th grade students in mathematics by using level orientated teaching method and to make an analysis of their effects on students' mathematics learning achievements and mathematical disposition. Those purposes is following: First, we develop the level orientated teaching method that fits to the low level and high level students and analyze the effect on students' mathematics learning achievements. Second, we analyze the effect on students' mathematical disposition by using level orientated teaching method. The biggest problem of applying level orientated teaching method is that all the groups should do the meaningful activity while just one group is on process. So we tried to keep the proposition that level orientated teaching method should be helpful to both high and low level students. The duration of the research was about 8 weeks from march 2 to may 22 and the level orientated mathematics program consists in lesson 1 "a fraction and a decimal" to lesson 3 "The range of numbers". The results of this study are as follows : First, there was significant effect to the students, develop level orientated mathematics program and using that program. Second, there was an affirmative effect to the students about mathematical disposition using level orientated mathematics program. To sum up conclusion of this study, the level orientated mathematics program has an affirmative effect on mathematics learning achievements and mathematical disposition. We expect further research about level orientated teaching method and use effective level orientated teaching method widely.

Proposal of Electronic Engineering Exploration Learning Operation Using Computing Thinking Ability

  • The purpose of the study is to develop effective teaching methods to strengthen the major learning capabilities of electronic engineering learners through inquiry learning using computing thinking ability. To this end, first, in the electronic engineering curriculum, we performed teaching-learning through an inquiry and learning model related to mathematics, probability, and statistics under the theme of various majors in electronic engineering, focusing on understanding computing thinking skills. Second, an efficient electronic engineering subject inquiry class operation using computing thinking ability was conducted, and electronic engineering-linked education contents based on the components of computer thinking were presented. Third, by conducting a case study on inquiry-style teaching using computing thinking skills in the electronic engineering curriculum, we identified the validity of the teaching method to strengthen major competency. In order to prepare for the 4th Industrial Revolution, by implementing mathematics, probability, statistics-related linkage, and convergence education to foster convergent talent, we tried to present effective electronic engineering major competency enhancement measures and cope with innovative technological changes.

Research Trends in Teaching-Learning Methods for Home Economics Education (가정과 교육의 교수.학습 방법에 관한 국내 연구 동향)

  • This study aimed to examine the research trends and to suggest future research directions in teaching-learning methods for Home Economics education, by analyzing articles published in three major academic journals in the field. From each of the research studies, the teaching-learning method, the related content area, and the learning effect measures were quantitatively codified. The data were analyzed using frequency analysis and cross-tabulations. According to the results, the number of teaching-learning method studies steadily increased since 1998 and peaked in 2010 and 2011. The most frequently studied content areas were combinations of more than two content areas, and the most frequently studied teaching-learning method was the Content-Based methods, followed by Practical Thinking/Problem Solving, and IT-Based methods. The most frequently used measures of learning effect were Knowledge/Understanding, Attitudes toward Home Economics subject, General Attitudes/Competencies, and the Attitudes toward the Instructional Method, in the order of frequencies. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the teaching-learning method research and also provide implications to the documentation of Home Economics curriculum for secondary education.

  • In this paper, we introduce a modified Moore Method designed for the multivariable calculus course, and discuss about the effective teaching and learning method by observing the changes in the understanding of students' learning and the effects on students' learning in the class implemented by this modified Moore Method. This teaching experiment research was conducted with the 15 students who took the multivariable calculus course offered as a 3 week summer session in 2008 at H University. To guide the students' active preparation, stepwise course materials structured in the form of questions on the important mathematical notions were provided to the students in advance. We observed the process of the students' small-group collaborative learning activities and their presentations in the class, and analysed the students' class journals collected at the end of every lecture and the survey carried out at the end of the course. The analysis of these results show that the students have come to recognize that a deeper understanding of the subjects are possible through their active process of search and discovery, and the discussion among the peers and teaching each other allowed a variety of learning experiences and reflective thinking.

  • The purpose of this study is to take advantage of the smart teaching - learning programs about the unit of 'Earth and Moon' and find out how to apply the effect appears. Teaching-Learning program was conducted over eight lessons. And we analyzed the effect of the program at any time through the evaluation and interview. The results are as follows. First, this study proposed a method to assist in the teaching and learning of spatial ability for students' movement of the Earth and the Moon. The program takes advantage of N-Screen Applications were configured to allow both Earth observation insider perspective and the external multilateral perspective. This improves students' understanding qualitatively. Second, we applied the teaching and learning programs utilizing smart smart devices, and the result was a lot of low rank students' average score rises. In addition, we were able to see that many students' understanding and interest, self-confidence are improved.

Development of the Contents of AI Convergence Education Method Subjects and Verification of Teaching Efficacy Effectiveness for Elementary and Secondary Teachers

  • In this paper, the needs and environment of the 'AI Convergence Education Method' were analyzed for elementary and secondary teachers, and based on this, teaching efficacy of informatics education was verified. For the research, elementary and secondary teachers who take the subject were selected, and based on the results of analyzing the general characteristics, pre-knowledge level, and needs of the subject, curriculum for 15 weeks was developed. As a result of verifying the teaching efficacy effectiveness of the developed 'AI Convergence Education Method' subject for 15 weeks, the effectiveness of the information education teaching efficacy was verified. Among the factors, there were statistically significant differences in information teaching values and information teaching strategies. In the future, it is necessary to conduct follow-up research to secure teachers' professionalism, such as linking with schools and convergence with other subjects. Various teaching and learning materials and teaching and learning methods such as educational contents and materials, reference literature, and artificial intelligence education platforms need to be prepared.

Effects of Teaching Effectiveness and Clinical Learning Environment on Clinical Practice Competency in Nursing Students (임상실습 교수효율성과 임상실습교육환경이 간호학생의 임상실습수행능력에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the teaching effectiveness and clinical learning environment on the clinical practice competency in nursing students. Method: Undergraduate nursing students (268) enrolled in one of 4 universities in 2 cities completed a survey questionnaire. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression with the SPSS/Win 11.0 program. Results: The mean score for teaching effectiveness was 3.09 (${\pm}.53$) on a 5-point scale, for clinical learning environment, 3.09 (${\pm}.50$) on a 5-point scale, and for clinical practice competency, 3.94 (${\pm}.52$) on a 6-point scale. Significant positive correlations were found between teaching effectiveness and clinical learning environment, and clinical practice competency. The regression model explained 8.8% of clinical practice competency. Teaching effectiveness and clinical learning environment were significant predictors of clinical practice competency. Conclusion: The findings of the study suggest that teaching effectiveness and clinical learning environment be considered when developing strategies to increase clinical practice competency in nursing students.

  • Open education is carried out and studied in both phases of theory and practice in Korean elementary schools in these days. 1 introduced three open teaching and learning methods which we can use practically in elementary school mathematics education. They are the teaching and learning by open-end-approach, From problems to problems and Problem posing. First, I illustrate each meaning of three teaching and learning methods. Next, I presented the concrete plans of each teaching and learning method, and exhibited some examples of students' own works.

  • The purpose of this research consists in understanding how the effects of Teaching Method by Questions on the achievement ability of math study and learning attitude are in the aspect of teaching and learning procedure, compared with those of the traditional teaching way. To attain the purpose, the research questions have been set up as follows: [Research Question 1] How to make a teaching plan of effective Learning by Questions\ulcorner [Research Question 2] Can Learning by Questions bring about a meaningful difference between two groups (experimental group and comparative group) in the aspect of the achievement ability of math study\ulcorner [Research Question 3] Can Learning by Questions change the Learning attitude of the students positively\ulcorner The outcome is as follows: First, it shows that the experimental group with Learning by Questions have marked more significant difference than the comparative group in the aspect of the achievement ability of math study. That is, Learning by Questions has a positive effect on the achievement ability of math study. Second, the experimental group with Learning by Questions have brought about more positive learning attitude than the comparative group without Learning by Questions.
