과학관 학습 실행에서 나타난 과학 교사의 교수 전략 분석 (An Analysis of Teaching Strategies of Science Teacher's Teaching in Science Museum)

  • 본 연구에서는 사례연구를 통해 과학 교사의 과학관 학습 실행에서 나타난 교수 전략을 분석하였다. 과학관 학습 관련 연수를 이수한 중등과학 교사 2인이 연구에 참여하였다. 과학관 학습에 대한 인식과 수업계획에 대한 사전면담을 실시한 후, 한 학기 동안 이루어진 각 교사의 과학관 학습 실행을 관찰 및 녹화하였고, 모든 교수학습 자료를 수집하였으며, 각 수업 실행 후와 한 학기가 끝난 후에도 면담을 실시하였다. 교사들의 과학관 학습 실행에서 나타난 교수 전략은 박물관 학습 수행전략 틀을 수정 보완한 분석틀을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 두 교사 모두 과학관 학습을 방문 전, 중, 후 활동으로 구성하는 것의 중요성을 충분히 인식하여 단순 관람이 아니라 연속적인 활동으로 과학관 학습을 구조화하였으나 교사의 과학관 학습 목표에 따라 활동내용과 정규교육과정과의 연계를 고려하는 정도에는 차이가 있었다. 또한, 사회적 상호작용 촉진 전략이나 학생들의 호기심과 흥미를 유발하기 위한 전략, 학습에 자율권을 부여하고 조절하는 전략, 인지적 참여와 도전을 이끌어내기 위한 전략 측면에서 두 교사의 과학관 학습에 대한 인식과 실행 경험에 따른 차이가 있었다. 이러한 결과는 교사의 과학관 학습 관련 전문성을 향상시키기 위해서는 과학관 학습에 대한 올바른 인식을 바탕으로 이에 적합한 교수 전략에 대한 지식과 실행 경험을 체계적으로 제공할 수 있는 교사교육이 이루어져야 함을 시사한다.

퇴원시 간호정보제공이 개심수술 환자의 지식과 일상활동에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Nursing Information at Discharge on Level of Knowledge and Daily Activities of Open Heart Surgery Patient)

  • This study examined the evaluation of the information effects of the teaching on knowledge and daily activities of open heart surgery patients between 2 and 6 weeks after discharge. The subject was 29 patients being taught with teaching materials at discharge as experimental group, 20 patients who received no education as control group among the patients who had undergone open heart surgery in S.N.U.H. And research method was non-equivalent control group non-synchronized quasi-experimental design. As the tool of this study, 30 items of knowledge measurement scale which was extracted among the content of teaching materials to evaluate the effect of education and 28 items of which were designed to measure the daily activities of patients with myocardial infarction for the estimation of the degree of observance in daily activities were used. For data analysis, frequency, t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient and Cronbach's $\alpha$ were used. The result were as follows; 1. Informations given through teaching materials were effective for increasing the knowledge of the patient with open heart surgery. The knowledge of patients increased to the top level (p<0.05) in 2 weeks after discharge. In control group, the knowledge level of patients did not increase after discharge. 2. The knowledge level daily activity of the experimental group was somewat higher than that of the control group, but there was no significant difference. The score .of the experimental group was 69.66 in 6 weeks after discharge much less than the top level score 112. 3. The correlation between knowledge and daily activities was not significant, suggesting the fact that the increase of knowledge did not influence the daily activities significantly. Recommendation was suggested that; 1) Further studies might be .needed with the increasing numbers of the subjects. 2) Daily activities of the patients with open heart surgery should be investigated for long term period until they recovered normal activities.

모델링 활동을 통한 메타수준 학습에 대한 연구 (A Study on Meta-Level Learning through Modeling Activities)

  • 수학교육 연구 공동체에서는 모델링 활동을 통한 수학 학습에 대한 논의들이 지속되어 왔다. 모델링 활동은 대안적인 수학 교수 학습 방법으로 논의되어 왔으나, 모델링 활동을 통하여 이루어지는 수학 학습은 어떠한 성격을 갖는지, 그리고 이는 어떠한 과제 설계와 수업 실행을 통하여 달성할 수 있는지에 대한 합의점은 도출되지 못한 실정이다. 모델링 활동을 통한 수학 학습을 시도해 온 선행 연구들의 논의로부터, 본 연구에서는 모델링 활동이 메타수준의 수학적 담론 생성과 메타규칙의 변화를 포함하는 메타수준 학습을 촉진할 수 있을 것으로 판단하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 메타수준 학습을 촉진할 수 있는 모델링 과제 설계와 수업 실행 방안을 도출하고, 이를 실행하여 수학 교수 학습에서 모델링 활동의 잠재력을 확인하는 데 목적을 둔다.

유비쿼터스 기반 수업활동 분석을 위한 관찰도구 개발 (Development of Observation Measure for Analyzing the Teaching and Learning Activities in Ubiquitous-Based Learning Class)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 디지털 미디어 기기를 활용한 유비쿼터스 기반 수업활동을 원활하기 위한 도구를 개발하여 제시하는 것이다. 관찰도구 개발을 위하여 선행연구를 검토하고, 주요한 관찰항목과 내용들을 추출한 후에 이를 바탕으로 도구를 개발하였다. 이 후, 관찰도구의 적합성에 관한 파일럿 분석을 실시한 후, 관찰항목과 내용들의 타당성을 검토하고 최종적으로 수정, 보완하였다. 유비쿼터스 기반 수업에서 교수, 학습활동을 관찰하기 위해서는 기본적으로 수업방식, 교수전략, 학습자활동, 기술활용, 평가활동, 정리 등의 관찰항목들을 중심으로 하위 관찰 내용들을 기록하는 것이 필요하다. 아울러 이러한 관찰도구를 정량적인 빈도 중심의 도구이므로 이를 보완하기 위한 질적 관찰 기록 작성지 등을 활용해야 한다.

모바일기기를 활용한 대학 수업 활동 분석 (The Analysis on Teaching and Learning Activities Using Mobile Devices in Higher Education)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 대학에서 모바일 기기를 활용한 수업에서 어떠한 형태의 교수 학습 활동이 이루어지고 있는지를 분석하고 유형화하는 것이다. 모바일 기기를 제공하였을 때 교수학습 활동이 기존의 방법과 어떻게 다른가 하는 점이 본 논문의 주요 논점이었으며, 수업에 주로 활용된 교수 방법, 교수 전략, 활용 기기, 평가 방법 등이 분석의 기준이 되었다. 또한 구체적인 교수 학습 활동에 대해 심층면담을 통해 분석 결과를 뒷받침하고자 하였다. 본 논문의 대상 교과목에서는 강의식보다 사례 분석식 교수방법, 교수 학습 전략 면에서는 구체적인 사례에 대한 설명과 질문에 대한 피드백을 제공하는 전략이 사용되었다. 학습자활동 면에서는 발표와 질문이 많이 활용되었고, 자료 면에서는 그래픽이나 인터넷 자료 등이 다수 활용되었으며, 평가 면에서는 과제 해결을 통한 평가 방법이 주로 활용되었다. 이러한 결과는 향후 대학에서 모바일 기기를 활용한 수업에서 교수 학습 모형을 개발하기 위한 기초자료가 될 것이다.

미국 초등교사의 과학교수에 대한 스토리라인 탐색 (An Inquiry into the U. S. Elementary School Teachers' Science Teaching Storylines)

  • This study aims to inquire into the U. S. elementary school teachers' storylines for science teaching methods, scientific knowledge and interactions with students. As research subjects, two American elementary school teachers, named Christina and Melissa, were selected. As test tools, this study adopted Storyline Test and semi-structured interviews. Firstly, in regard to the science teaching method, Christina evaluated that she gradually improved her science teaching skills up to positive 6 points, starting from 2 points in the first year of teaching career, while Melissa sustained a stable state with 5 points in the 9th year of teaching career, starting from 1 point in the first year of teaching career. It was found that both the teachers had more confidence in their science teaching methods by participating in various training programs. Secondly, Christina evaluated her scientific knowledge in the first year of teaching career as 4 points, but evaluated her present scientific knowledge as stable as 6 points since she started studying teaching materials actively, discussing with other teachers and having more ability of application through science class integrated with other school subjects, in the 7th year of her teaching career. On the other hand, Melissa evaluated her scientific knowledge in the first year of teaching career as 1 point since she did not exactly know what to teach elementary school students, but in the 6th year of teaching career, she sustained a stable state with points through joint-activities with other teachers. It was found that chances to research with other teachers had important effect on both the teachers' confidence in scientific knowledge. Thirdly, in regard to interactions with students in science class, Christina said that she did not have any interaction with students when instructing inquiry activities in the first year of teaching career, but since the 10th year of her teaching career, she had sustained a stable state with 6 points through active interaction with students, by leading learning projects and science competitive exhibitions, etc. On the other hand, Melissa evaluated her interaction with students in the first year of teaching career as 1 point because her class was reading-oriented, but since the 9th year of teaching career, she had sustained a stable state with 6 points so far, by developing inquiry activity strategies to improve interaction with students. Overall, it was found that inquiry activities played a central role in improving both the teachers' interaction with students.

중등학교 교사의 학급경영과 교실경영의 재개념화 연구 (The Study on the Reconceptualization of Homeroom Management and Classroom Management of Secondary School Teachers)

  • The purpose of this study is to reconceptualize the homeroom management and classroom management for secondary school teachers. The result of the study is as follows: First, the homeroom management that has been usually miss-presented as 'classroom management' in Korea is the concept comprizing the elements of homeroom management and those of teaching management together. Second is the re-conceptualization of classroom management. As the sub-concepts of classroom management, the homeroom (classroom) management and the teaching (classroom) management are also suggested. The classroom management is defined as 'the conduct or ability to accomplish the educational activities successfully'. Meanwhile, the homeroom (classroom) management is defined as 'the homeroom teacher's conduct or ability to successfully accomplish the educational activities for class students' and the teaching (classroom) management as 'the subject teacher's conduct or ability to successfully accomplish the educational activities for the class'. Therefore, the teachers are asked to have the ability for classroom management - that is, both the homeroom (classroom) management ability as the homeroom teachers and the teaching (classroom) management ability as the subject teachers. Based on the results, this study suggests some school policies such as the sharing of effective classroom management strategies through the change of teachers' culture and the improving of working environment for better concentration to the classroom management.

소집단 학습을 통한 수학과 학습부진아 지도방안 연구 (A Study on Teaching Method for the Underachievers through Small Groups′ Learning in Mathematics)

  • It is necessary that at any rate we try to decrease underachievers by learning deficiency in mathematics to extreme limits under circumstances that mathematics becomes more requisite daily in the 21st century's informative society. However, the traditional teaching method causes a lot of problems in elevating the needed ability for the newly changing society. Accordingly, for the purpose of letting underachievers by learning deficiency have much interest in mathematics, seek the qualitative elevation, have the feelings of self-confidence and accomplishments, escape from desperation, and also teachers choose the activities of small groups, design teaching plans, apply those to teaching-learning activities and finally verify the effect, this researcher sets up a hypothesis as follows: 1. The teaching method through small groups will be effective for the accomplishments of underachievers in mathematics. 2. Its method will bring out the meaningful change in the emotional areas of mathematics. Therefore, so as to prove the above hypothesis, the results through the theoretical approach and practicing teaming by small groups have turned out to be positive.

Students' Voluntary Teaching Activities in Science Schools

  • Student members from The University of Tokushima worked voluntarily at the science school for elementary school children and high school students under the support of Japan Science and Technology Agency. The teaching classes for the science school were held in 2010 as follows: (1) Science handicraft class for children on "Wonder in light, sound, temperature and force", (2) Family Science School for children and parents on "Measurement of length, temperature, weight and energy", (3) "Tatara steel making" for high school students, (4) "Wave motion in strings" for high school students. This paper describes how the students prepared the teaching materials and what they obtained from the teaching activities.

리더십 향상을 위한 초등과학 영재 교수 학습 프로그램의 효과 (The Effects of the Teaching and Learning Program to Improve Leadership for the Gifted in Science)

  • The purpose of this study is to devise a teaching and learning strategies of leadership for the gifted in science, to develop a leadership reinforcement program using the strategies, and to verify the effectiveness of the program. We designed teaching and learning strategies of leadership for the gifted in science as follows; to give a chance to exercise the essential elements of leadership life skills through science activities. The activities based on students' interest should stimulate reflective thinking and cooperation with each other. We found out that the teaching and learning program for leadership improvement for the gifted in science was effective, especially group management skill, communication skill, decision-making skill, human relations skill, and self-understanding skill.
