This study is a follow-up to Lee(2019). Lee(2019) investigated the method of collecting information on the curriculum of elementary and middle school math teachers, when differences were observed between elementary and middle school math teachers in the method of collecting information on the curriculum. Following Lee(2019)'s study, this study looked at the perceptions and experiences of high school math teachers in their curriculum. At the time when the curriculum was changed from time to time, the authority for restructuring curriculum was strengthened. In addition, the role of teachers as 'curriculum restructuring practitioners' became important. However, previous studies have pointed out the structural problem that teachers empathize with the necessity of restructuring the curriculum and have a negative perception of the willingness to practice the curriculum. Therefore, the researcher examined high school teachers who are sensitive to the characteristics and evaluation of the highly hierarchical mathematics subjects. A total of six interviews were conducted with ten high school mathematics teachers in three groups of ten years of teaching experience. Through this, it was possible to observe how teachers as curriculum reconstruction practitioners had thought about curriculum restructuring, and I could observe what difficulties teachers' experienced. This suggests that teachers have two ideas for restructuring the curriculum: 'realistic curriculum reconstruction' and 'ideal curriculum reconstruction'. In addition, the teachers found that there are 'sides of incongruity in the school system' and 'difficulties in the management of teachers'.
The author aims at first securing basic material required for developing and operating proper oral health care education programs though making an investigation into the undergraduates of S College of Education on the actual status of oral health care and perceptions of oral health care education. The obtained results were as follows 1. In the actual status of oral care based on whether or not they have experiences in taking oral health care education, undergraduates with teeth brushing for more than three minutes a time were found to be 25.9% and 15.7% respectively according to the existence and nonexistence of experiences in the education(pM0.020), and undergraduates with teeth brushing in a circular motion was found to be 64.7% and 51.7% respectively, showing statistically significant differences(pM0.015). 2. In the actual status of preventative oral care according to whether or not they have experiences in taking oral care education, degrees of awareness of the usefulness of dental cleansers among the undergraduates were found to be 37.6% and 21.5% respectively according to the existence and nonexistence of experiences in the education(pM0.001), undergraduates with experiences in scaling were found to be 51.8% and 34.9% respectively(pM0.002) and undergraduates with experiences in having dental sealants were found to be 26.5% and 16.9%(pM0.031), showing statistically significant differences. 3. In the survey on perceptions of oral health care according to the existence and nonexistence of experiences in oral health care education, it was revealed that the case that they indicated 'the necessity of oral health care education' was 87.1% and 64.0% respectively according to the existence and nonexistence of the experience(pM0.000), and undergraduates intended to 'participate in oral care education for students(at mid and high schools and so on) after being teachers' were 77.6% and 65.7% respectively, showing statistically significant differences(pM0.011). 4. In general characteristics according to awareness of the necessity of cultivating oral health professionals, groups with awareness of the necessity consisted of 31.8% of freshmen and juniors(pM0.001), 55.69b of female undergraduates(pM0.001), 80.8% of non-smokers(pM0.012), 38.9% of large city residents(pM0.002) and 32.3% of undergraduates living in their own houses (pM0.028), showing statistically significant differences.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the perceptions of creativity in mathematics of preservice elementary school teachers. Creativity in Mathematics is one of the most important components in mathematics teaching and learning, which has been emphasized in the Principles and Standards for School Mathematics and the 2009 Revised Mathematics Curriculum. For this study, the researcher analyzed reports of creativity in mathematics in mathematics lessons from the perspectives of 55 preservice elementary school teachers. The preservice teachers observed 55 mathematics lessons focusing on creativity in mathematics during their two-week-student-teaching period. The results showed the followings. First, the preservice teachers had a narrow perceptions on creativity in mathematics. Second, observational experiences of mathematics lessons led the preservice teachers to reconsideration of creativity in mathematics. Third, the preservice teachers provided a various strategies to enhance students' creativity in mathematics. The researcher suggested the followings. First, definitions and practices of creativity in mathematics should be included in the teacher education programs. Second, mathematics textbooks should include creativity in mathematics in a sophisticated manner. Third, creativity-rich materials should be developed and distributed to teachers. Finally, well-designed teacher training programs should be necessary.

The purpose of this study is to investigate secondary school teacher's perceptions and needs of computer and information literacy(CIL) convergence education and to suggest implications for promoting CIL convergence education in the actual school fields. We conducted a survey on teachers perceptions and the needs for CIL convergence education and analysed 227 secondary school teachers responses. As a result, we found that the perception of the necessity of CIL convergence education was very high while understanding level of the CIL convergence education and the actual frequency of teaching experiences were relatively low. In addition, CIL convergence education activities are mainly conducted through Informatics curriculum rather than various subjects. We identified that the main constrains of CIL convergence education were the burden on the progress of subject based curriculum as well as the lacking of teaching and learning equipments including computers. We identified that the needs for empowering teachers professional developments and constructing the physical and institutional environments of school sites were high. In discussion, we suggested the support strategies in terms of teacher professional development, institutional supports, and physical environments.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to clarify the social stigma phenomenon in teachers' perceptions and attitudes toward students who are classified as mental health support needs students in middle and high schools. Methods: Qualitative research was conducted through in-depth interviews and observations of 17 teachers and 2 consultants from 2 middle and high schools in Green City, which were evaluated as successful among the six pilot project schools designated by the Ministry of Education in 2013. The study's analysis is based on Hatch's hermeneutical method. Common categories were developed from the interviews and observations. Then, inferences were made per category and given importance to draw conclusions and lessons. Results: Teachers had a strong stigma in their perceptions of and attitudes to special needs students. Their perception was that those students are bound to go wrong due to family problems, even some having difficulty breathing, and that it's beyond their limit to help them. In addition, their attitudes included stereotypes, favoritism, punishment, and referral to experts. As a result, teachers did not expect those students would be cured or change and showed passive attitudes while shifting the responsibility to families and experts. Conclusion: This study is meaningful in that it showed the limitations of the role of teachers regarding mental health support needs students from the perspective of the teachers themselves. Today, when students' mental health problems are emerging as a serious issue, it is necessary to provide support to improve teacher's awareness and capabilities regarding adolescent mental health problems. In addition, we suggest the current selective policy that sorts out special needs students and provides care for them to evolve into a universal policy that improves public awareness and focus on prevention.
This study examined the elementary school teachers' present utilization of science museums in teaching-learning and their perceptions of the educational programs in science museums. The results indicate that teachers have not utilized science museums as intimately as possible with formal instruction, therefore, the students' experiences of science museums are usually limited. The main reasons for lower than optimum usage of science museums in their teaching and learning is not because of its insignificant educational effects, but because of the lack of external and administrative support mechanisms. The elementary school teachers prefer to commit to programs in science museums such as science camps or experiment activities, and those exhibitions which have some kind of clear and discernable relation to the school curriculum. The results also indicate that most teachers want to participate in the various activities of science museums, such as developing and managing the programs or pre- and post activities for museum field trips, participating in the teachers' community in science museums, and so on.

In this study, we investigated teachers' experiences in teaching with the science museum as well as their confidence, their perceptions, educational needs, and their willingness to practice the instructions using science museum. A survey was administered to 225 elementary and secondary school teachers. The analyses of the results revealed that few teachers had training for the instructions using the science museum and not many teachers had experience in teaching with the science museum. Many teachers were also found to have low confidence in teaching with the science museum. Although the teachers had a relatively good understanding of the educational effects, nature and teaching strategies for the instructions using the science museum, they tended to apply the formal views on science teaching/learning to learning with the science museum. The levels of willingness to use the science museum in their instructions and educational needs of the instructions using the science museum were high. They wanted the information about practical aspects to use in the instructions using science museum most. Educational implications of these findings are discussed.

Marine aquariums are excellent venues for accomplishing the purpose of marine education, and school field trips conducted at non-formal settings continue to be an important part of K-12 education. The purpose of this study is to provide quantitative data regarding the extent and quality of marine aquarium field trips conducted by elementary school teachers in Seoul. A web survey designed to explore elementary school teachers' experiences and perspectives on aquarium field trips identified several concerns regarding Korean marine aquarium education. Discussions for both Korean aquaria's educational roles and Korean elementary schools' successful field trips to aquaria are presented with the goal of improving the quality of Korean marine aquarium education.
This research was to examine the understandings of elementary school teachers on the phenomena related to light and image, and to survey their perception change related to learning contents of optics. The subjects were selected from the elementary teachers who were enrolled in a graduate course, 'Science education seminar' at an education college located in Chungchungbuk-Do, South Korea. Among the five students who exposed their perceptions clearly in the class, the three of them were selected who agreed to the proposal of the case study. To achieve the purpose of this study, semi-structured interviews following the conception test with the 3 elementary teachers were conducted. During the analysis of the data, additional interviews by phone, e-mail, and internet messenger were conducted if necessary. According to the results, all of the elementary school teachers lacked the scientific conceptions of the phenomena related to light and image. Unfortunately, their learning experiences did not help them to understand the scientific concepts. During the interviews, the teachers recognized the importance of the viewpoints of seeing, image, cognition of light, point light source to understand the phenomena related to light and image.
