This study aimed to enhance the design of cropped t-shirts to improve fit satisfaction among women in their 20s by tailoring the t-shirts to diverse body types. Body types were categorized using Size Korea's 8th Human Body Measurement Data, and statistical analysis was conducted based on the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (version 26.0). This study also reviewed the literature on t-shirts and fit, the application of pattern and design improvements for different body types, verifying fit and size for each body type, and applying virtual fit effects using geometric forms. Frequency analysis and non-parametric verification were conducted using the Friedman test. The results showed that t-shirts with a horizontal rectangular shape was an effective design and that t-shirts with an inverted triangular structure also had a positive effect. In contrast, square t-shirts exhibited minimal effectiveness. These findings are expected to contribute to the consideration of customized shapes according to body type in t-shirt design. Research on customized virtual cropped t-shirts reflecting various body types can expand fit satisfaction studies, particularly amid the increasing trend of online shopping.
The primary aim of this study was to analyze the fashion trend of wearing T-shirts with slogans at home and abroad and to consider the social influence of these shirts on fashion. The research method was based on the documentary method and the existing literature, and the study range was limited to the period from the middle of the 20th century to the present. Slogan T-shirts played important roles because they make the wearers highly visible wherever they go. T-shirts with slogans not only intentionally expressed the wearers' views on multiple social issues but they also made those issues more visible, thereby encouraging society to deal with them. The T-shirts also helped to form a social consensus regarding the issues. For this reason we referred to slogan T-shirts as 'the social fashion' in this research. Regarding the results, the research found that T-shirts with slogans were a social fashion that conveyed real political slogans and thus influenced people's political beliefs. Second, they politicized the issues in public interests with the public perspective. Third, the purpose of slogan T-shirts was to help people express their personality publicly and thereby bond with other people who held similar sympathies. Furthermore, the T-shirts conveyed multiple meanings in each message.

The purpose of this study was to research the purchasing patterns and the ease amount of woman's T-shirts. For the study, 215 women between the ages of 18 and 59 were surveyed. 18~34 year old women had more T-shirts and wore them more frequently than 35~59 year old women. Women usually gave weight to design, fabric, fit and color, when they bought T-shirts. The most important fit part was different according to age groups, 18~34 women valued T-shirts length but 35~59 women valued bust circumference ease. The ease of T-shirts was analysed with body sizes. Shoulder ease were distributed between -3~3cm, neckline designed apart 0.5~7.0cm from side neck point, 0~11cm from front neck point and 1~2cm from back neck point. The means of bust ease, waist ease and hip ease were 6.2cm, 14.7cm and 4.5cm. The bust and waist ease were significantly different between age groups and 35~59 year old women wore more tightly at both parts due to their thick torso. The silver generation have clothing style of optimal daily life comparing than young generation because they do not participate a specific sport event but daily- life exercise. As the human body ages, the figure of the silver generation shows different body shape because upper body changes to curved figure including the belly and waist part. Therefore, clothing characteristics for the silver generation should be considered with proper function, design and textiles to optimize body movement. This study investigated various exercise types according to motion analysis of the silver generation in order to develop the design of the active T-shirts reflecting the structural properties and providing the optimum exercise circumstance. The results to consider design needs are as followed; As the T-shirts design for the flexible exercise which required frequent movement of upper body such as bending and waist twisting during body stretching, a stretch fabric applied to the waist part considering T-shirts allowance and length to make extreme elongation and support for well-fitting appearance of the T-shirts. As the T-shirts design for the instantaneous reactionary exercise, high elastic four-way stretch fabric is applied to the part of arm hole to optimize skeletal and muscle movement for entire body and arm work. As the T-shirts design for the endurance exercise such as climbing, cycling, and walking, the shoulder line of the back part has cutting line allowance to make optimum movement of the upper body but no change of the waist part.
Some groups do ethical activities (such as ethical slogan t-shirt campaigns) only to complete the requirements for ethical duty; consequently, some people question the effectiveness of those products. The attributes of ethical slogan t-shirts should be considered seriously to reduce skepticism when planning a campaign. Researchers can also suggest a new purpose for ethical t-shirts using an ethical message. In study 1, we conduct a conjoint analysis that suggests realistic multi-attribute choice decisions. The suggested multi-attributes wear design aesthetic (high/low), price (high/low), where we donate (close/far), and the size of firm (big/small). In addition, participations were divided into two groups according to eco-friendly attitudes to confirm differences in choices between two groups. Study 1 showed that price is the most important attribute, but design aesthetic also remains important. In addition, a group that has a high eco-friendly attitude thought "where we donate" was more important than other groups. In study 2, a pre-post approach investigated wearers' attitude changes. We also divided participants into two groups and one group wear high level design aesthetic t-shirts (and vice-versa) to measure the attitude change difference. As a result of study 2, the wearers partially changed their eco-friendly attitudes. The group that wore high design aesthetic t-shirts showed a greater difference than other groups. Through this study, we conclude that customers seriously considered the design aesthetic. Finally, wearing ethical slogan t-shirts can change the attitudes of wearers.
The hot-wave of campaign for fashion brands has itself become a fashion trend now. In order to participate in this popular trend, every brand has launched a new campaign of developing T-shirts each season with a social issue as the design concept. Such a campaign plan is related to the brand's image-making. Each brand has its own slogan based on various themes related to social issues. For that, the design of these T-shirts following the environmental campaign will be developed and their utilization potential will be clarified. The detail contents of the study are as follow. First, the meaning of the environmental campaign and trends of environmental campaigns in Korea and overseas will be explored in order to identify their theoretical contents. Second, the environmental campaigns will be classified by case. Analysis of the expression and characteristic of each case will determine the utilization plan. Third, design directions will be suggested based on the characteristics produced from the case study. As the study conclusion, five environmental campaign T-shirts will be produced.
