  • System level diagnosis algorithms use the properties of t-diagnosable system where the maximum number of the faults does not exceed t. The existing diagnosis algorithms have limit when dealing with large fault sets in large multiprocessor systems. Somani and Peleg proposed t/k-diagnosable system to diagnose more faults than t (dimension) by allowing upper bounded few number of units to be diagnosed incorrectly. In this paper, we propose hypercube diagnosis algorithm using t/k-diagnosable system. When the number of faults exceeds t, we allow k faults to be diagnosed incorrectly. Simulation shows that the performance of the proposed algorithm is better than Feng's HADA algorithm. The proposed algorithm also gives similar performance compared to HYP-DIAG algorithm.

  • System level diagnosis algorithms use the properties of t-diagnosable system where the maximum number of the faults does not exceed 1. The existing diagnosis algorithms have limit when dealing with large fault sets in large multiprocessor systems. Somani and Peleg proposed t/k-diagnosable system to diagnose more faults than t by allowing upper bounded few number of units to be diagnosed incorrectly. In this paper, we propose adaptive hypercube diagnosis algorithm using t/k-diagnosable system. When the number of faults exceeds t, we allow k faults to be diagnosed incorrectly. Simulation shows that the performance of the proposed algorithm is better than Feng's HADA algorithm. We propose new algorithm to reduce test rounds by analyzing the syndrome of RGC-ring obtained in the first step of HADA/IHADA method. The proposed algorithm also gives similar performance compared to HYP-DIAG algorithm.

  • Somani and Peleg proposed t/k-diagnosable system to diagonse more faults than t(dimension) by allowing upper bounded few number of units to be diagnosed incorrectly. Kranakis and Pelc showed that their adaptive diagnosis algorithm was more efficient than that of any previous ones, assuming that the number of faults does not exceed the hypercube dimension. We propose an adaptive diagnosis algorithm using the idea of t/k-diagnosable system on the basis of that of Kranakis and Pelc's. When the number of faults exceeds t, we allow a fault(k=1, 2, 3) to be diagnosed incorrectly. Based on this idea, we find that the performance of the proposed algorithm is nearly as efficient as any previously known strategies and detect above about double faults.

  • Most diagnosis algorithms have been done using the characteristic of t-diagnosable system based on PMC model. But as parallel systems grow fast, more faulty units occur in the system. Previous researches are done on the assumption of small number of faulty units in the system. There have been little studies on the system where number of faulty units exceed t. In this study, we assume the number of faulty units exceed t and there exist small number of nodes where the correctness of diagnosis can't be decided, then we propose an algorithm which increase the maximum number of faulty units in diagnosis system.

  • In this paper, a functional m-redundant system, which is me-fault tolerant, is defined based on the graph-theory. This system is designed to be t fault-diagnosable by comparing its unit's outcomes without additive test functions, and so, the system down for diagnosis is not needed. the diagnostic model for this system is presented and this effectively uses system's redundancy. It is shown that this model can be converted into Preparata's model. Thus, the diagnostic characteristics of a functional m-redundant system is analyzed by the methods originated by Preparata et al..

  • On the process of research in the plan on oriental medical participation in the industrial health sponsored by BK21 project, we carried out the oriental medical health examination program for workers during former half-year We reached the conclusion as follows, 1. The oriental medical health examination program is contents and formalities that should be determined by present industrial health system, based on the oriental medical system and scholastic character, and included probability of the western and oriental medical cooperation. 2. The oriental medical health examination program can promote capability of individual health management and productive power of workers, and it is capable to manage on the self-conscious symptoms and macroschophically approach to their environment 3. The oriental medical health examination program that we have developed, is flow as questionare, understanding of working environment, information of result and later management. It is composed of three fields as follow , first, use of pulse diagnostic apparatus, understanding of the health promotion life style, and diagnosis of the oriental medical doctor, second, analysis of constitution, third, photographing for understanding of the musculoskeletal disorders, questionare for musculoskeletal self-conscious symptoms, and diagnosis of oriental medical doctor. 4. The oriental medical health examination program that we have developed, progressive from the view point of health, makes the oriental medical doctor's roll more important. It is the first trial at the western and oriental medical cooperation and characterized by excellence about musouloskeletal disorders. But it need to be improved in aspects of time and specialist on the health examination, diagnostic apparatus, control of examinant and later management. So we think that it needs research on the employment of health examination specialist, establishment of later management system, development of significantly diagnosable standard and assessable form on the health examination, and contents of health examination on the western and oriental medical cooperation.
