분류정확도 향상을 위한 공간적 분류방법의 적용 (An Application of Spatial Classification Methods for the Improvement of Classification Accuracy)

  • 위성영상을 이용한 토지피복 분류를 시행할 때 대부분 화소의 밝기값(DN: Digital Number)에 의존하는 분광적 패턴인식기법을 사용해 왔다. 그러나 화소의 DN이 해당화소 뿐만 아니라 인접화소와도 밀접한 관련이 있다는 점을 고려할 때, 인접화소의 영향을 고려한 토지피복 분류에 관한 연구가 필요하다. 또한, 위성영상의 공간해상도가 기술의 발달로 인해 현격히 향상되고 있다는 점을 고려할 때 공간적 분류방법은 반드시 고려되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 supervised 분류방식에 의한 분광적 분류방법과 분광적 분류방법에 화소의 공간적 분포패턴까지를 적용한 공간적 분류방법의 정확도를 평가하여 공간적 분류방법의 적용 타당성을 제시하고자 하였다. 6가지 공간적 분류방법을 적용한 실험을 통해 공간적 분류방법을 이용한 경우가 분광적 분류방법만을 이용한 경우보다 2-6% 정도 분류정확도가 증가됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한 밴드조합을 달리 설정하여 분류를 실시한 실험을 통해 공간적 분류방법을 적용하였을 때 기존 분광적 분류방법만을 이용한 경우보다 향상된 정확도 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 통계적으로 입증할 수 있었다.

이질적 목적을 지닌 R&D 사업들을 위한 달성지수 기반의 상대적 평가기법 (Attainment Index-based Relative Evaluation Method for R&D Programs with Heterogeneous Objectives)

  • National R&D programs play an important role in the development of a country in this age of the knowledge economy. Since many numbers of R&D programs compete for limited resources such as national R&D budget, the R&D program evaluation problem is a challenging decision-making problem faced by decision makers that deal with R&D management. In this sense, DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) has been regarded as one of the most widely accepted methods to measure the relative efficiency of productivity of R&D programs. DEA is a methodology to measure and to evaluate the relative efficiency of a homogeneous set of decision-making units(DMUs) in a process which uses multiple inputs to produce multiple outputs. However, the sample of the R&D programs could consist of two or more naturally occurring subsets, thus exhibiting clear signs of heterogeneity such as different objectives. In such situations, the fairness of DEA is limited, for the nature of the relative efficiency of a DMU is likely to be influenced by its membership in a particular subset of the sample. In this study, we propose a methodology AI-DEA(attainment index DEA) allowing for reflecting decision maker's subjective judgement on difference among different subsets of R&D programs which have heterogeneous objectives. This methodology combines AHP and Delphi in order to decide the attainmnet index of each DMU for each outputs, and apply them to DEA model. We illustrate the proposed approach with a pilot evaluation of 13 programs involving 6 different subsets of Korean National R&D programs and compares the results of the original DEA model and AI-DEA model.

  • Advances in information technology, communication and network technology are radically facilitating digital convergences as the integration of human, equipment, and space in the current industry 4.0 era. In industry 4.0 environment, the vast amount of information with networked computing technology can be simultaneously accessible even in limited physical space. Two main benefit points out of these information are the convenience and efficiency in their online transactions either buying things online or selling online. Even though there exist so many benefits that information technology can create for the people doing business over the internet there is a critical problem to be answered. In spite of many such advantages, however, online transactions have many dysfunctions such as personal information leakage, account hacking, and cybercrime. Without preparing the appropriate protection methods or schema people reluctantly use the transaction or would find some other partners with enhanced information security environment. In this paper we suggested a novel selection criteria that can be used to evaluate the reliable means of authentication against the expected risks under on-going IoT based environment. Our selection criteria consists of 4 steps. The first step is services and risk identification step. The second step is evaluation of risk occurrence step. The third step includes the evaluation of the extent of damage. And the final step is the assessment of the level of risk. With the help of the above 4 step-approach people can systematically identify potential risks hiding in the online transactions and effectively avoid by taking appropriate counter actions.

BIM으로부터 가상도시 구축용 건축물정보의 추출 (Extracting Building Geomety from BIM for 3-D City Model)

  • 본 연구는 다양한 형상과 정보를 가질 뿐만 아니라 신축 및 재건축을 통하여 끊임없이 갱신되는 건물에 대해 3-D GIS를 구축하기 위한 기초자료를 효율적으로 획득하고 관리하기 위한 방법을 제시한다. 먼저 건물정보모델(BIM)과 지리정보시스템(GIS)의 정보모델의 특징들을 비교해 보고, 가상도시 구축을 위한 정보모델인 CityGML과 건물표현을 위한 세밀도를 살펴본 다음, BIM으로부터 CityGML에 따른 건물정보를 추출하기 위한 프로토타입을 구현하여 실행사례를 보인다. 본 연구의 접근방법은 건축설계 및 건축관련 엔지니어링 사무소, 또는 건설회사에서 CAD로 작성한 기존의 건물 및 부지에 관련한 2, 3차원 정보뿐만 아니라 새로운 추세로 자리잡는 IFC 정보를 활용할 수 있어 국가 지리정보시스템내에 건물 외형과 내부 모델을 구축하기 위한 많은 노력을 절감할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.

영상기반 행동패턴 인식에 의한 운전자 보조시스템 (Driver Assistance System By the Image Based Behavior Pattern Recognition)

  • 복합 기능 기기의 발전에 따라 카메라는 방범 시스템, 운전자 보조 시스템 등 여러 분야에서 광범위하게 사용되고 있으며 많은 사람들은 이러한 시스템에 노출되어 있다. 따라서 시스템은 인간의 행동을 인식할 수 있고 인식된 행동으로부터 얻은 정보를 이용하여 유용한 기능을 사용자에게 제공할 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문은 이차원 영상 이미지에서 인식된 기계적 학습 접근 방법을 사용한 인간 행동 패턴 인식 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 인식된 사용자의 행동 패턴을 기반으로 사용자에게 유용한 기능을 실행하기 위한 정보를 제공하게 될 것이다. 먼저 소개하는 방법은 전화 통화 행동 인식이다. 차량 내부에 운전자 방향으로 설치된 블랙박스가 전화 통화 행동을 인식한다면 안전 운전을 위해서 운전자에게 경고를 줄 수 있다. 두 번째 제안하는 방법은 안전 운행을 위한 전방 주시 행동 인식으로서 운전자가 전방 주시하고 있는지 아닌지를 판단하기 위한 방법과 기준을 제안한다. 본 논문은 실시간 영상 조건에서 제안하는 인식 방법의 효용성을 실험 결과를 통해서 보여준다.

통신지사의 성과평가 : 비재량 요인을 포함한 DEA 적용 (Evaluating Performance of Telecommunication Branch : Application of DEA with Non-Discretionary Factor)

  • Improving efficiency of the telecommunication is crucial to the development and growth of Korean economy. Recently, it has become important with the huge development of information technology and its greater potential for extensive impact on the rest of the economy. Hence, it is useful to determine the factors that help enhance efficiency in telecommunication and consider them in improving the evaluation model. This study applies DEA (data envelopment analysis) to evaluate the relative efficiency of 51 branches of a Korean telecommunication company. Using the super-efficiency approach, we tested outliers which may affect the results and ranked the efficient branches. A method of deriving key variables applied to business operation is proposed to identify the key performance indicators for evaluation that takes environmental (non-discretionary) factors into account. We used the extended CCR model proposed by Banker and Morey to investigate the influence of non-discretionary factor. The information provided by the model (slacks, weights) and the sensitivity analysis shows that the most important indicator that affects the branch performance is operating cost. The results of sensitivity analysis show that average efficient score decreases from 0.972 (base case) to 0.863 for CASE2-COST. The average score of the data proves the priority of operating cost over other indicators. The effect of environmental (non-discretionary) variable was found to be significant. The population effect was positive and improved overall efficiency by 0.91% on average. Non-discretionary factor plays a meaningful role explaining the performance of branches. The performance optimization report can help a manager of an inefficient branch to develop branch strategies. Managers can identify the top-performing units, study best practices and adopt the strategy to the organization.

AHP를 활용한 프로젝트 팀 구성원의 개인역량 상대적 중요도 연구 (A Study on Relative Importance of Project team members Competencies Using AHP)

  • The purpose of this paper is to identify a relative importance and priority of the factors of Competencies of project team member. It aims to present the differential competency factors from a differentiated perspective by applying the Leadership Development Questionnaire, which is the competency dimension required for manager, to team member. (1) Background: The diverse needs of customers and companies, and the uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity, and volatility of the environment surrounding the company in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution threaten the survival of company. In this respect, companies should implement the project management approach and strive to increase the capabilities of each team member. (2) Methods: AHP method was used to prioritize which factors were considered more importance level and the gap of relative importance level between project manager group and team members group. (3) Results: In the analysis of the relative importance of the upper class, weights were derived in the order of managerial competence, intellectual competence, and emotional competence. The sub-factor that respondents prioritize was communication as the 1st priority, and it was analyzed in the order of strategic perspective, achieving, critical analysis and judgement, and vision and imagination. There were some differences in the ranking of the relative importance of achieving and vision and imagination attributes between the PM group and TM group, it was analyzed that there was no significant difference overall. (4) Implications: The results of this study confirmed the recognition that team members are required to have the same competencies as the project manager. And based on the priorities of the competencies required of team members, companies are expected to cultivate professional and competent team members, and expand the roles and authority of team members so that they can actively carry out projects.

선별실험계획을 활용한 신제품의 다수품질특성 확보 방안 : 사례 연구를 중심으로 (A Study on Securing Multiple Quality Requirements of New Product Using Screening Design with a Case Study)

  • For product or process design and development, it is common to optimize multiple responses (characteristics) based on experimental data. To determine optimal conditions, we need to design the experiment, estimate a proper model for each response, and optimize the multiple responses simultaneously. There are several techniques and many research results on optimizing multiple responses simultaneously, when the experimental data are available. However, the experimental design issue for optimizing multiple responses has not been discussed yet. This paper proposes some idea on how to plan screening design when requirements for multiple performance characteristics are to be met in developing new products. A screening design procedure is developed for securing the requirements of multiple responses. Initial design factors are classified into three categories; specific, non-conflicting common, and conflicting common. After screening experiments, follow-up design region search method is suggested with respect to the most unsatisfied or important response, or overall desirability. A case study on a synthesis of melamine formaldehyde resin is presented to illustrate the procedure and to show the validity of the approach.

Molecular Characterization of Legionellosis Drug Target Candidate Enzyme Phosphoglucosamine Mutase from Legionella pneumophila (strain Paris): An In Silico Approach

  • The harshness of legionellosis differs from mild Pontiac fever to potentially fatal Legionnaire's disease. The increasing development of drug resistance against legionellosis has led to explore new novel drug targets. It has been found that phosphoglucosamine mutase, phosphomannomutase, and phosphoglyceromutase enzymes can be used as the most probable therapeutic drug targets through extensive data mining. Phosphoglucosamine mutase is involved in amino sugar and nucleotide sugar metabolism. The purpose of this study was to predict the potential target of that specific drug. For this, the 3D structure of phosphoglucosamine mutase of Legionella pneumophila (strain Paris) was determined by means of homology modeling through Phyre2 and refined by ModRefiner. Then, the designed model was evaluated with a structure validation program, for instance, PROCHECK, ERRAT, Verify3D, and QMEAN, for further structural analysis. Secondary structural features were determined through self-optimized prediction method with alignment (SOPMA) and interacting networks by STRING. Consequently, we performed molecular docking studies. The analytical result of PROCHECK showed that 95.0% of the residues are in the most favored region, 4.50% are in the additional allowed region and 0.50% are in the generously allowed region of the Ramachandran plot. Verify3D graph value indicates a score of 0.71 and 89.791, 1.11 for ERRAT and QMEAN respectively. Arg419, Thr414, Ser412, and Thr9 were found to dock the substrate for the most favorable binding of S-mercaptocysteine. However, these findings from this current study will pave the way for further extensive investigation of this enzyme in wet lab experiments and in that way assist drug design against legionellosis.

모바일 컨텍스트 기반 사용자 행동패턴 추론과 음식점 추천 모델 (Mobile Context Based User Behavior Pattern Inference and Restaurant Recommendation Model)

  • 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅은 사용자의 위치, 상태, 행동정보, 주변 상황 등의 컨텍스트를 인식할 수 있게 하였는데 이로 인해 사용자에게 필요한 서비스를 빠르고 정확하게 제공해 줄 수 있게 되었다. 이와 같은 개인화 추천 서비스는 사용자의 컨텍스트 정보를 인식하고 해석하는 추론기술이 필요한데 본 논문에서는 실생활과 가장 밀접한 음식점을 날씨, 시간, 요일, 위치의 모바일 컨텍스트 데이터를 기반으로 행동 패턴을 추론하여 추천하는 모델을 연구한다. 연구를 위해 자사에서 직접 서비스 하고 있는 사용자 평가 기반 음식점 추천 서비스의 장소와 사용자 생성 데이터를 활용하였고, 행동패턴을 추론하기 위해 나이브 베이즈 방정식을 사용했다. 그리고 선호도 예측 알고리즘을 활용하여 추천 장소를 선정하였다. 시스템으로 구현하여 평가 기반의 추천 방식보다 본 논문에서 제시한 연구의 우수성도 입증하였다.
