Global Sensitivity Analysis of Joints for Plug-in Digital Framework (플러그인 디지털 프레임웍을 위한 연결부 전역민감도 해석)

  • Plug-In Digital Framework is a system response analysis tool that is employed when system components are composed of black-box modules. Generally, the dynamic characteristics of joints between the system components significantly affect system responses, and they lead to displacement- and frequency-dependent stiffness and loss factor. Thus, the sensitivity of each joint parameters should be estimated from a global perspective. In this study, we introduce a global sensitivity analysis procedure under the Plug-In Digital Framework. To efficiently calculate the system responses, we introduce the frequency response function (FRF)-based substructuring method. Using the random balance designs (RBD), we generate the system responses and estimate the global first-order sensitivities for each joint stiffness. We apply the proposed global sensitivity analysis method to an interior noise problem of a passenger car, and we evaluate the efficiency of the global sensitivity analysis method.

A Study on the Effective Enhancement of the Load Power Factor Using the Load Power Factor Sensitivity of Generation Cost and Integrated Costs (발전비용의 부하역률 감도와 종합비용을 활용한 효과적인 역률개선 방안 연구)

  • The low load power factor causes various problems such as the Increase of the power loss and the voltage instability. The demand of reactive power increases continuously with the growth of active power and the restructuring of electric power companies makes the integrated management of ractive power troublesome, from which the systematic control of load power factor is required. In this paper, the load power factor sensitivity of the generation cost and integrated costs are used for determining the locations and capacities of reactive power compensation devices effectively and for enhancing the load power factor appropriately. It is shown through the application to a small-scale power system that the system power factor can be enhanced effectively and appropriately using the load power factor sensitivity and integrated costs.

  • This paper presents the minimization of the fuel cost by optimal allocation of P-Q generation in a three-bus sample system. Derivation of the system loss sensitivities by optimization technique is introduced. The loss sensitivities are substituted into the optimality conditions and the optimal P-Q allocation is computed to obtain the minimal fuel cost.

  • The effect of fluid flow on corrosion and erosion-corrosion of metal is a well-recognized phenomenon in pipelines and machinery equipment, and so on. Not only are fluid hydrodynamics important, but also the corrosiveness of the process or production stream affects the corrosion system. Recent research demonstrates that it is possible to erosion-corrosion(E/C) phenomena in terms of hydrodynamics, electrochemical corrosion kinetics and film growth/removal phenomena. Stress corrosion cracking behavior under cavitation erosion-corrosion of mild steel(SS41) was investigated of base metal and weldment under loaded stress. Main result obtained are as follows : 1) The cavitation erosion sensitivity of base metal affected weight loss is more susceptive than heat affected zone, 2) The corrosion sensitivity affected weight loss of welding heat cycle is less susceptive on stress corrosion under cavitation erosion-corrosion than stress corrosion.

The demand of reactive power increases continuously with the growth of active power and restructuring of electric power companies makes the comprehensive management of reactive power a troublesome problem, so that the systematic control of load power factor is required. In this paper, the load power factor sensitivity of generation cost is derived and it is used for effectively determining the locations of reactive power compensation devices and for enhancing the load power factor appropriately. In addition, voltage variation penalty cost is introduced and integrated costs including voltage variation penalty cost are used for determining the value of load power factor from the point of view of economic investment and voltage regulation. It is shown through application to a large-scale power system that the load power factor can be enhanced effectively using the load power factor sensitivity and the integrated cost.

  • This research presents a topology optimization to minimize eddy current loss maintaining mechanical robustness of structure part in electrical machines A design sensitivity equation for the topology optimization is derived by employing the discrete system equations combined with the adjoint variable method. As a numerical example, frame design of a C-core actuator is performed by the proposed method.

  • Light losses in optical fibers are investigated by a fiber optic OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometry) sensor system to develop fiber optic probes for structural displacement measurement. The displacement sensitivity was determined by the measurements of fiber-bending loss according to the gage length changes of the displacement sensor. The fiber optic displacement probe was manufactured to verify the feasibility of the structural displacement measurement.

  • The producer's to tolerance concept (in contrast to the consumer's tolerence) fellows naturally from the notion of continuous loss function Emerging producer tolerance methodology has proceeded without benefit of carefully defined assumptions. We rectifg this omission and consider the process mean deviation. Then develope the models for which determine the tolerenes in cases of the-nominal-the-best, the-smaller-the-better and the-larger-the-better. Finally the numerical examples are Presented to illustrated these results and also the sensitivity analysis to apprehend the changes of loss tolerances varying with mean is presented.

  • In this paper, the method to improve audio noise when GMS(Global System of Mobile Communication) is built in HPC(Handheld PC)is provided. The biggest problem with quality of audio is improved by connecting GSM module with wire to the widest erea near by HPC Power Ground to reduce impedance difference, and designing amplifier and earpiece, Result of measurement is satisfied with GSM Acoustic Standard. Standard of GSM Audio is declared in GSM 11.10 ETS 300 607-1. Measuring items corresponds to that standard and B&K Type 6712 is used for measurement. The list of measurement presented in this paper is Sending Sensitivity Frequency Response and SLR, Sending Loudness Rating( SLR level), Receiving Sensitivity Loudness Rating(RLR level), Talker Sidetone(STMR), Stability margin, and Echo Loss(ERL)
