본 논문에서는 음성과 데이터를 통합한 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 통합적으로 제공할 수 있는 차세대 통신 시스템으로 개발중인 160 Gbps 급 TDM/Data 통합 시스템의 백플레인 구조를 제시하였다. 상용 부품을 사용하여 설계 및 제작된 백플레인 구조에서 10 Gbps 이상의 전송성능을 검토하고 입증하였다.

In this paper, we investigate various factors that are relevant to design and implementation of an integrated management system for various speech corpora. The purpose of this paper is to manage an integrated management system for various kinds of speech corpora necessary for speech research and speech corpora consrtructed in different data formats. In addition, ways are considered to allow users to search with effect for speech corpora that meet various conditions which they want, and to allow them to add with ease corpora that are constructed newly. In order to achieve this goal, we design a global schema for an integrated management of new additional information without changing old speech corpora, and construct a web-based integrated management system based on the scheme that can be accessed without any temporal and spatial restrictions. And we show the steps by which these can be implemented, and describe related future study topics, examining the system.

By managing not only geographical information but also various kinds of attribute data. GIS presents useful information for decision-makings. Most of decision-making problems using GIS can be formulated into network-optimization problems. In this study we deal with the implementation of network optimization system that extracts data from the database in GIS. solves a network optimization problem and present optimal solutions through GIS' graphical user interface. We design a nitwork optimization system and present some implementation techniques by showing a prototype of the network optimization system. Our network optimization system consists of three components : the interface module for user and GIS the basic network the program module the advanced network optimization program module. To handle large-scale networks the program module including various techniques for large sparse networks is also considered, For the implementation of the network optimization system we consider two approaches : the method using script languages supported by GIS and the method using client tools of GIS. Finally some execution results displayed by the prototype version of network optimization system are given.

Java Card has several applets running on card, and applet can be added easily. Each applet supports different application programs, and includes file system for data management. This paper presents design and implementation of the file system API based on Java Card for the efficient data management in need of the applet. We referred the smart card international standard ISO7816-4 for the file system and used API supported at Java Card. Results show that it is easy to design and operation of file systems during the applet development, also show lighting of applet's source codes and improved access times.

Telecommunication system demands for increased bandwidths and operating frequencies for analog signal processing could be satisfied in the near future by the emergence of a novel technology based on magnetostatic waves propagating in low loss ferrimagnetic films. The magnetostatic wave is the only available technology for analog signal processing directly at millimeter wave frequencies. This paper has been studied the design and implementation of a Magnetostatic Surface Wave band-pass filter for LMDS system.

In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a Fault Tolerant VOD system. The system uses the double striping policy that a original file is sequentially striped to multiple streaming server with constant data block size and the data block of one streaming server is re-striped to the other streaming server. When a fault occurs in one streaming server, automatically the other streaming server will service.

본 연구에서는 공리적 설계 방법론을 기반으로 조선소의 블록 물류 운영 시스템을 효과적으로 설계하는 방법을 다룬다. 체계적인 설계를 위하여 블록 물류 운영 시스템의 독립적인 기능 요구를 정의하고 이를 만족시키는 설계 파라미터를 정의한다. 그리고 기능 요구들과 설계 파라미터들 사이의 상관관계를 고려하여 구현 순서를 결정한다. 설계 결과는 IDEF0 모델링을 이용하여 제시하였다. 설계된 시스템은 국내 한 조선소에서 구현되었으며, 현장에 적용되고 있는 사례를 분석하여 함의를 도출한다.

This paper is about the implementation of Passive RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) tag system using a capacitive method, and explains the design and circuit's structure of this system. Fundamentally the capacitive RFID tag system consists of a tag reader, a passive tag and a host computer. And then this paper shows the system's prototype which analyzes a specification, and suggests the passive RFID system as a new method which manufactures a low cost tag system easily

An intelligent chat agent is a computer application that can have conversation with the user. This paper gives an overview of design and implementation of such a system in Java Expert System Shell (Jess) and have compared some of the limitations by using two different implementation approaches.

The Current CORBA has many drawbacks to be deployed successfully in real-time system applications. Recently, OMG adopted Real-Time CORBA specification. In this paper. we report our efforts of a design and implementation of Priority Model of Real-Time CORBA spec., which is one of the most important components in Real-Time CORBA spec. The improvement of real-time performances of our implementation is verified by expereiments.
