For the application of factory automation, a 3-axis numerical control system with personal computer and KM3701 function generator LSI chip, which has liner, circular, parabolic, logarithmic, and exponential interpolations, is developed. The developed system also has 2 control function to stabilize tooling speed and 1/1000mm step sizes.

CMOS Image Sensor(CIS) 소자에서 광감도의 향상과 천연색 형성을 위하여 적용하고 있는 Color-Filter 공정에서 국부적으로 발생하는 strip성 불량과 막질손상을 제거하기 위한 연구를 진행하였다. 우선 지역적 경향성을 보이는 불량에 대해서는 PR strip process type을 액조 진행방식에서 회전식으로 변경했을 때 제거됨을 확인하였고, 막질손상을 최소화하기 위해서는 새로운 유기용매의 적용이 필요하였다. 실험 결과, 케톤기를 가지는 화합물과 Polar Apotic 용매의 혼합화합물을 적용하였을 때 각 막질에 attack을 최소화하면서 원하는 PR만 선택적으로 제거 되며 미세잔류성분에 대한 제거력도 향상됨을 확인하였다.

A recommender system for E-commerce site receives information from customers about which products they are interested in, and recommends products that are likely to fit their needs. In this paper, we investigate several methods for large-scale product purchase data for the purpose of producing useful recommendations to customers. We apply the traditional data mining techniques of cluster analysis and collaborative filtering(CF), and CF with reduction of product-dimensionality by use of latent semantic indexing(LSI). If reduced product-dimensionality obtained from LSI shows a similar latent trend of customers for buying products to that based on original customer-product purchase data, we expect less computational effort for obtaining the nearest-neighbor for target customer may improve the efficiency of recommendation performance. From simulation experiments on synthetic customer-product purchase data, CF-based method with reduction of product-dimensionality presents a better performance than the traditional CF methods with respect to the recall, precision and F1 measure. In general, the recommendation quality increases as the size of the neighborhood increases. However, our simulation results shows that, after a certain point, the improvement gain diminish. Also we find, as a number of products of recommendation increases, the precision becomes worse, but the improvement gain of recall is relatively small after a certain point. We consider these informations may be useful in applying recommender system.

In this paper, we designed simultaneous 2-axis control system using commercialized custom ICs for positioning and interpolation that is very compact and high reliable. This system is primarily designed for NC system, we verified it is more complete than the other hardware & software based system in its function, control accuracy and cost. Also, this system can be expanded for multi-axis control, it can be applied to the control of more complicated mechanism such as articulated robot.

Presented in the paper is a reservation based dispatching rule to achieve the on-time delivery in system LSI (large scale integrated circuit) semiconductor fabrication (FAB) with urgent orders. Using the proposed reservation based dispatching rule, urgent lots can be processed without waiting in a queue. It is possible to achieve the on-time delivery of urgent orders by reserving a proper tool for the next step in advance while urgent lots are being processed at the previous step. It can cause, however, tardiness of normal lots, because the proposed rule assign urgent lots first. To solve this problem, the proposed rule tries to find the best tool for the reservation in the tool group, which can minimize idle time, and the reservation rule is applied at all tools except for photolithography tools (bottleneck). $MOZART^{(R)}$ which is developed by VMS solutions are used for simulation experiments. The experimentation results show that the reservation based dispatching rule can achieve the on-time delivery of normal lots as well as urgent lots.

Because existing information retrieval systems, in particular library retrieval systems, use 'exact keyword matching' with user's query, they present user with massive results including irrelevant information. So, a user spends extra effort and time to get the relevant information from the results. Thus, this paper will propose SULRM a Retrieval Model using Subject Classification Table, User profile, and LSI(Latent Semantic Indexing), to provide more relevant results. SULRM uses document filtering technique for classified data and document ranking technique for non-classified data in the results of keyword-based retrieval. Filtering technique uses Subject Classification Table, and ranking technique uses user profile and LSI. And, we have performed experiments on the performance of filtering technique, user profile updating method, and document ranking technique using the results of information retrieval system of our university' digital library system. In case that many documents are retrieved proposed techniques are able to provide user with filtered data and ranked data according to user's subject and preference.

The corrosion problems in water distribution system are reduced by decreasing the agressivity of drinking water which is evaluated by marble test and saturation indices(LSI or CCPP etc.). Marble test is a reliable method to determine the actual saturation condition of treated water. This study was done to determined the aggressivity of tap water and the effectiveness of $Ca(OH)_2$ and NaOH dosage for corrosion control. The drinking water in Seoul were evaluated by marble test and Langelier Index(LSI) and Calcium Carbonate Precipitation Potential(CCPP). The results indicated that the drinking water in Seoul were undersaturated as Calcium Carbonate($CaCO_3$). The LSI and CCPP of the water treated with $Ca(OH)_2$ were higher than that of water treated with NaOH. Therefore, to increase the Alkalinity and Calcium Hardness for corrosion control in water distribution system, $Ca(OH)_2$ is more effective than NaOH.

In the design of digital system, designers use multi-layer LSI to connect all signal sets between circuit modules. This paper suggests how to minimize upper street congestions and lower congestions in the single-row routing, a routing method of multi-layer LSI. This paper suggests the heuristic algorithm which minimize upper street congestions and lower street congestions by suggesting interval graph and relational operator and finding out of the order of signal sets The algorithm was implemented on a VAX-11/780 computer and illustrated by means of examples.

The most critical issue in information retrieval system is to have adequate results corresponding to user requests. When all documents related with user inquiry retrieve, it is not easy not only to find correct document what user wants but is limited. Therefore, clustering method that grouped by corresponding documents has widely used so far. In this paper, we cluster on the basis of the meaning rather than the index term in the existing document and a LSI method is applied by this reason. Furthermore, we distinguish and analyze differences from the clustering using widely-used K-Means algorithm for the document clustering.

This paper proposes the method to process many pattern data 2-dimensionally at high speed in designing the physical of LSI. And this study shows that the switching network,which transmits pattern data between memory and processing elements at high speed on bidirection,has been designed using the barrel shifter and simulated with VHDL design system.
