Objectives : Many cancer patients use therapies promoted as literal alternative and complementary medicine to conventional medical care. So the health provider has to guide it by appropriate clinical guideline. The purpose is to indicate the international research tool of korean medical oncology for related investigators and help to make the clinical guideline for korean oncology. Method : We reviewed complementary and alternative therapies for cancer and cancer-related symptoms by searching MEDLINE, and using the name and synonyms of the therapy. Publications on complementary medicine were identified by searching the Cochrane Library. Results and Conclusion : Most complementary and alternative medicine used by cancer patients have demonstrable, important benefits, including decreased symptoms and better quality of life. We have to standardize the scientific research protocol for korean oncology and build evidence based medicine in the future.

This paper a framework and method for resolving word sense disambiguation and present the results. In this work, WordNet is used for two different purposes: one as a dictionary and the other as an ontology, containing the hierarchical structure, representing hypernym-hyponym relations. The advantage of this approach is twofold. First, it provides a very simple method that is easily implemented. Second, we do not suffer from the lack of large corpus data which would have been necessary in a statistical method. In the future this can be extended to incorporate other relations, such as synonyms, meronyms, and antonyms.

The taxonomy of Acanthamoeba spp., an amphizoic amoeba which causes granulomatous amoebic encephalitis and chronic amoebic keratitis, has been revised many times. The taxonomic validity of some species has yet to be assessed. In this paper, we analyzed the morphological characteristics, nuclear 18s rDNA and mitochondrial 16s rDNA sequences and the Mt DNA RFLP of the type strains of four Acanthamoeba species, which had been previously designated as A. divionensis, A. parasidionensis, A. mauritaniensis, and A. rhysodes. The four isolates revealed characteristic group II morphology. They exhibited 18S rDNA sequence differences of $0.2-1.1\%$ with each other, but more than $2\%$ difference from the other compared reference strains. Four isolates formed a different clade from that of A. castellanii Castellani and the other strains in morphological group lion the phylogenetic tree. In light of these results, A. paradivionensis, A. divionensis, and A. mauritaniensis should be regarded as synonyms for A. rhysodes.

Twenty-one speices of the terrestrial isopods are recorded from Cheju Island and Chja Island, Korea. Quepartoniscus tuberculatus, n. gen., n.sp., is described. The genus Koshiniscus Nunomura is considered to be a junior synonym of Armadilloniscus Uljanin, Armadilloniscus hoshikawai Nunomura and A. amakusaensis Nunomura of A. ellipticus, Mongloiscus nipponicus (Arcangeli) of M. vannamei(Arcangeli), Nagurus tsushimaensis Nunomura, N. pallidus Nunomura, and Mongoloniscus nigrogranulatus Kwon and Tatiti of M. koreanus (Verhoeff). Nagurus sinuosus Nunomura is transferred to Lucasioides Kwon , Protracheoniscus pannuosus Nunomura (of which P.awaensis Nunomura, Nagurus gotoensis Nunomura, and N. izuharaensis Nunomura are synonyms ) to Agnara Budde-Lund, and Armadillo obscurus Budde-Lind to Venezillo Verhoeff. Several poorly known species are redescribed and illustrated.

Studies based on food analysis or food databases use the national standard food database. Although Internet information services are increasing gradually, users are only able to get definitive and profitable information using standard food terms. Until now, it has been uncommon to find food retrieval services that include users' regional or historical characteristics. Thus, this study introduces a prototype for Food and Dish Synonym Retrieval (NutriSyn) that includes synonyms and related words. The environments which NutriSyn was implemented were Linux for the server operating system, the Microsoft Windows series for the users' operating system and Apache for a web server. The development languages used are PHP, JavaScript and HTLM with a MySQL database. Users can access NutriSyn using Internet browsers. The main menu items are (1) Food Synonym DB, (2) Dish Synonym DB, (3) Food Information DB, (4) Dish Information DB, and (5) Food and Menu Synonym Retrieval. This system is expected to be a useful tool for food experts and interdisciplinary research.

A series of taxonomic works was conducted to revise genus Olethreutes in Korea. All availa - ble synonyms, collected localities and dates, flight period and known distribution ranges for the total 16 identified species including 3 newly recorded species; Olethreutes subtilana(Falko-vitsh), Olethreutes aurofasciana(Haworth), Olethreutes moderata Falkovitsh, were repersented, and genital of males or females for all known species were illustrated. Some known host plant in home or abroad were also cited.

The taxonomic entity and morphological characteristics of Impatiens furcillata were reviewed based on the original description and the type specimen. As a result, I. furcillata, by having glabrous stems, descending and glabrous peduncles, and pinkish white flowers, is strikingly distinguishable from other taxa of Korean Impatiens. Both I. hypophylla var. koreana and I. kojeensis are treated as synonyms of I. furcillata, for their morphological characteristics, were the same as those of I. furcillata. In addition, the Korean name for I. furcillata was changed to 'Cheo-jin-mul-bong-seon' instead of 'San-mul-bong-seon'.

한국산 Genus Vespula THOMSON 으로는 다음 6종이 알려지고 있다. Vespula austpiaca PANZER 삼성말벌 V. germanica flevicets SMITH 해첨배기말벌 V. media RETZIUS 좀말벌 V. koieensis YADOSZKOWSKI 참땅벌 V. rufa L. var. schrenckii RADOSZAKOWSKI 슈렝크말벌 V. vulgaris L. var. Lewisii CAMERON 땅벌 상기종중에서 V. austriaca, V. rufa, V. vulgaris의 종간은 각지에서 채집된 기록이 있으나 나머지 것은 한국에 산한다고만 되어있다. 채집된 상기 3종은 형태초적으로는 거의 비슷하고 반문 만을 달리하니 그 반문의 변이를 조사하는 것은 중대한 의의를 가진다. 필자는 서울 근교우이동에서 밤을 이용하여 8개의 벌집속 벌을 모조리 채집하여 그 중 2 벌집의 개체만에 관하여 그 변이를 조사한 결과를 제1보로 여기에 발표한다. 한 벌집 속 개체수는 726과 661 이었고 다라서 총개체수 1337 마리를 조사한 결과 상당히 심히 문반변이가 잇음을 알었고 더우기 V. austriaca, V. rufa, V. koreensis 와 V. vulgaris 간의 반문차는 동일종내의 변이에 불과함을 알게 되었다. 따라서, V. austriaca, V. rufa, V. koreensis는 V. vulgaris 의 synonym 임을 밝히는 바이다. 본연구에 있어서 귀중한 교\ulcorner을 빌려주신 고대이과부장 조복의교수와 재료의 채집과 조사에 협력해준 고대생물학과생 김원임, 이경\ulcorner, 이병준, 이동\ulcorner \ulcorner군에게 감사를 표하는 바이다.

Semantically similar XML documents in the same application domain might often conform to different schemas. To uniformly view and query such XML documents, we need an efficient method of integrating XML schemas. This paper proposes a sophisticated method for integrating XML schemas in the same application domain. To compute mapping relationships between schemas, the proposed method utilizes various relationships, such as synonyms and hypernyms, between lexical items based on dictionaries and domain ontologies. Particularly, the relationships between lexical items are elaborated by taking their structural information into account. In addition, this paper proposes a more accurate method for integrating compositors. Experimental results with schemas in various application domains show that the utilization of domain ontologies and the structural relationships between lexical items enhance the precision and recall of integrated schemas.

Recently, in order to effectively test deep neural network model for image processing application, researches have actively conducted to automatically generate data in corner-case that is not correctly predicted by the model. This paper proposes test data generation method that selects arbitrary words from input of system and transforms them into synonyms in order to test the bug reporter automatic assignment system based on sentence classification deep neural network model. In addition, we compare and evaluate the case of using proposed test data generation and the case of using existing difference-inducing test data generations based on various neuron coverages.
