화상처리를 이용한 연삭공구 인식 및 안면인식 응용 (Grinding disk detection with image processing and application to face recognition)

  • An image processing method was applied to characterize a shape of the flexible grinding disk. A disk surface image was taken by CCD camera. Depth of cut was changed to be 2 and 4mm. Circles marked on the disk were captured to extract the key features of the deflection. Notable correlation has been observed between the intervals and the process conditions. Same methodology has been applied to check the symmetry of the human face. Tentative results revealed that symmetry could be checked using the filtered face image.

  • 오늘날 의료정보화 수준향상과 디지털 병원화의 흐름에 따라 PACS는 의료기관의 핵심 인프라 중 하나로 자리매김하였다. 이와 함께 생산되는 디지털 의료영상의 종류 및 의료영상 데이터가 양적으로 급증하고 있으며, 이는 의료영상 데이터의 효과적인 보관을 위한 의료영상 압축을 중요한 요소로 부각시킨다. 현재 의료영상에 관한 사실상의 표준인 DICOM 규격에서는 의료영상 압축을 위하여 무손실 압축기법인 RLE를 명시하고 있으나, 무손실 범용 압축기법인 RLE는 인체의 대칭성을 가지는 많은 의료영상에 적용하면 높은 압축율 기대하기 힘들다. 이 논문에서는 다양한 의료영상 중 대칭 특성을 크게 내포하는 뇌 CT 영상을 대상으로 하여 영상 내 관심영역을 검출하고 대칭특성에 따라 영상의 픽셀 값을 재코딩하는 전처리 하고 영상을 압축하는 기법을 제안한다. 실험에 의하면, 제안한 기법은 RLE 압축과 영상 내 관심영역을 검출하지 않고 압축할 때와 비교하여 높은 압축률을 보인다.

보안성과 유연성을 갖춘 데이터 공유 방안 (A Data Sharing Scheme with Security and Flexibility)

  • We propose and analyse a flexible secure file sharing scheme which can be used for data sharing among members in P2P environment. When a member wants to share data, notification messages are sent to the members with whom the member wants to share data. Each notification message includes one-time password encrypted with the receiver's public key. A member who received the notification message can download the data by using the one-time password. The proposed scheme provides selective sharing, download confirmation and efficient memory management. In terms of security, the proposed scheme supports authentication, entity privacy, replay attack protection and disguise prevention.

  • This paper proposed a real-time, low-cost, fast transistor open-circuit fault diagnosis method for voltage-source inverter fed induction motors. A transistor open-circuit changes the symmetry of the inverter topology, leading to different similarities among three phase load currents. In this paper, dynamic time warping is proposed to describe the similarities among load currents. The proposed diagnosis is independent of the system model and needs no extra sensors or electrical circuits. Both simulation and experimental results show the high efficiency of the proposed fault diagnosis method.

  • We study a device structure which can be used to generate pure valley current and valley polarized current using quantum adiabatic pumping. The design of the structure allows the flexibility of changing the structure from one for pure valley current generation to one for valley polarized current generation by changing the applied electric potentials through changing the symmetry of the structure. The device is useful for the development of valleytronic devices.

Torsional flexural steady state response of monosymmetric thin-walled beams under harmonic loads

  • Starting with Hamilton's variational principle, the governing field equations for the steady state response of thin-walled beams under harmonic forces are derived. The formulation captures shear deformation effects due to bending and warping, translational and rotary inertia effects and as well as torsional flexural coupling effects due to the cross section mono-symmetry. The equations of motion consist of four coupled differential equations in the unknown displacement field variables. A general closed form solution is then developed for the coupled system of equations. The solution is subsequently used to develop a family of shape functions which exactly satisfy the homogeneous form of the governing field equations. A super-convergent finite element is then formulated based on the exact shape functions. Key features of the element developed include its ability to (a) isolate the steady state response component of the response to make the solution amenable to fatigue design, (b) capture coupling effects arising as a result of section mono-symmetry, (c) eliminate spatial discretization arising in commonly used finite elements, (d) avoiding shear locking phenomena, and (e) eliminate the need for time discretization. The results based on the present solution are found to be in excellent agreement with those based on finite element solutions at a small fraction of the computational and modelling cost involved.

In terms of security, the proposed scheme supports authentication, entity privacy, replay attack protection and disguise prevention. We also implement the proposed system and find that the system is very useful among P2P service of closed user groups.

  • Mobile IP 프로토콜에서는 이동 노드가 자신의 홈망이 아닌 다른 망에 이동할 경우에도 자신의 홈 IP 주소를 그대로 사용하기 때문에 이동 노드와 방문망, 홈망 사이의 상호인증은 중요한 문제이다. 지금까지 이와 관련된 여러 연구는 주로 비밀정보 공유를 기반으로 이동 노드와 HA간에 미리 대칭키를 나눠가지고 이를 이용하여 인증을 할 수 있도록 하거나, 공개키 방식을 적용할 경우도 복잡한 알고리즘으로 인하여 실제 환경에 적용하기 어려운 문제점을 가지고 있다. 또한 replay attack 등 네트워크 상의 공격이슈에 대한 문제를 해결하지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Mobile IP 프로토콜에서 발생하는 여러 가지 보안이슈들에 대하여 설명하고, Mobile IP 프로토콜에 적용가능한 인증프로토콜을 제안한다. 제안하는 프로토콜은 공개키 알고리즘에 기반하여 기존의 Mobile IP 프로토콜의 수정없이 그대로 적용되어, 실제 환경에 적용가능하며 이동 노드들에 대한 확장성을 갖는다. 우리는 제안하는 프로토콜의 안전성을 증명하고 고유의 Mobile IP 프로토콜의 성능에 영향을 끼치지 않음을 보여줄 것이다.

3축 열선 PROBE의 특성과 그 평가 (The Characteristics of Triple Hot-Wire Probe and It's Evaluation)

  • A triple hot-wire probe has an essential potentiality for the measure- ment of an instantaneous velocity vector in a three dimensional unsteady flow with large amplitude of velocity fluctuations, the key problems asso- ciated with this instrument are the directional range of applicability and the accuracy. This present paper is concerned with a new method of the techniques of calibration and data processing to estimate the three dimensional flow field using an arbitrary shaped triple hot-wire probe. The method is not based on the assumptions of orthogonality or symmetry and it is especially useful for applications to a hand-made probe where probe geometry is not accurately known. The test application is made to evaluate the effect of cone angles of symmetric non-orthogonal probe.

  • 일반적으로 Box-Cox변환과 같은 류의 멱변환은 분산 안정화 혹은 분포의 대칭성 향상 등을 목적으로 사용된다. 그러나 원 자료의 평균의 크기가 크면서 분산이 상대 적으로 작은 경우, 즉 변동계수가 작은 경우에는 제대로 작동하지 않는 것이 알려져 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 이동-멱변환을 제안하고 모의실험과 실제 자료 분석을 통하여 그 효과를 확인하였다.
