NONDEGENERATE AFFINE HOMOGENEOUS DOMAIN OVER A GRAPH

  • The affine homogeneous hypersurface in ${\mathbb{R}}^{n+1}$, which is a graph of a function $F:{\mathbb{R}}^n{\rightarrow}{\mathbb{R}}$ with |det DdF|=1, corresponds to a complete unimodular left symmetric algebra with a nondegenerate Hessian type inner product. We will investigate the condition for the domain over the homogeneous hypersurface to be homogeneous through an extension of the complete unimodular left symmetric algebra, which is called the graph extension.

  • In this paper, we construct a pair of Wolfe type second order symmetric dual problems, in which each component of the objective function contains support function and is, therefore, nondifferentiable. For this problem, we validate weak, strong and converse duality theorems under bonvexity - boncavity assumptions. A second order self duality theorem is also proved under additional appropriate conditions.

배기 매니폴드 확관부 형상 최적화에 관하여 (About the Shape Optimization of Ex-Manifold Diffuser)

  • Shape optimization method was coupled with a conventional CFD analysis to find the optimal shape of ex-manifold diffuser which decreases the maldistribution of flow above the catalyst. Shape optimization results show that flow uniformity above the catalyst was increased about 28% fur the axi-symmetric case and about 18% for the asymmetric case. The axi-symmetric type can be applied to the diffuser of under floor catalyst and the asymmetric type can be applied to the diffuser of close coupled catalyst.

  • Due to the close relation between cointegration test and multiple unit roots test multiple unit roots test are greatly studied by many researchers,. In this paper we suggest the symmetric type unit roots test which is an adjusted method of Shin (1999) Also we have a small Monte-Carlo simulation study to compare the power of the statistic developed in this paper with those of Shin (1999) and adjusted Fuller statistic(1996)

A TYPE OF WEAKLY SYMMETRIC STRUCTURE ON A RIEMANNIAN MANIFOLD

  • A new type of Riemannian manifold called semirecurrent manifold has been defined and some of its geometric properties are studied. Among others we show that the scalar curvature of semirecurrent manifold is constant and hence semirecurrent manifold is also concircularly recurrent. In addition, we show that the associated 1-form (resp. the associated vector field) of semirecurrent manifold is closed (resp. an eigenvector of its Ricci tensor). Furthermore, we prove that if a Riemannian product manifold is semirecurrent, then either one decomposition manifold is locally symmetric or the other decomposition manifold is a space of constant curvature.

η-RICCI SOLITONS ON TRANS-SASAKIAN MANIFOLDS WITH QUARTER-SYMMETRIC NON-METRIC CONNECTION

  • In this paper, firstly we discuss some basic axioms of trans Sasakian manifolds. Later, the trans-Sasakian manifold with quarter symmetric non-metric connection are studied and its curvature tensor and Ricci tensor are calculated. Also, we study the η-Ricci solitons on a Trans-Sasakian Manifolds with quartersymmetric non-metric connection. Indeed, we investigated that the Ricci and η-Ricci solitons with quarter-symmetric non-metric connection satisfying the conditions ${\tilde{R}}.{\tilde{S}}$ = 0. In a particular case, when the potential vector field ξ of the η-Ricci soliton is of gradient type ξ = grad(ψ), we derive, from the η-Ricci soliton equation, a Laplacian equation satisfied by ψ. Finally, we furnish an example for trans-Sasakian manifolds with quarter-symmetric non-metric connection admitting the η-Ricci solitons.

  • Transducer for ultrasonic linear motor with the symmetric and anti-symmetric modes was studied. The ultrasonic linear motor consists of two Langevin type piezoelectric vibrators that cross at right angles with each other in tip. In order to excite symmetric and anti-symmetric resonance modes, the transducer must have a phase shift of 90 degree in space and time. Therefore, the tip of transducer moves on an elliptical motion. In this paper, the finite element analysis was used to optimize dimension and displacement of the transducer. The ultrasonic motor was fabricated using the simulated result and the driving characteristics were measured. No-load velocity was 0.28[m/s] and the maximum efficiency was 30[%] in resonance frequency.

대칭/비대칭 사인파형 연속운전 방식에 따른 에멀젼형 절삭유 수용액 내 평막의 막간 차압 (Transmembrane Pressure of Flat-sheet Membrane in Emulsion Type Cutting Oil Solution for Symmetric/Asymmetric Sinusoidal Flux Continuous Operation Mode)

  • 본 연구에서는 0.5 wt% 에멀젼형 절삭유 수용액에 평막형 분리막을 침지시키고 대칭 및 비대칭 사인파형 투과유속 연속운전(SFCO) 방식으로 실험하였다. 사용한 정밀여과막은 유효 막면적이 $0.02m^2$이고 공칭 세공크기가 $0.15{\mu}m$이었다. 탁도 기준으로 에멀젼형 절삭유의 99% 이상이 제거되었으며 산기량이 증가할수록 TMP가 낮게 상승하였다. 비대칭형 SFCO 운전방식은 투과유속이 낮은 $10{\sim}15L/m^2{\cdot}h$ 영역에서 대칭형 SFCO 운전방식보다 다소 유리하였다. 하지만, 투과유속이 높은 $25{\sim}30L/m^2{\cdot}h$에서는 대칭형 SFCO 운전이 매우 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다.

다분할 해석법에 의한 장형코일의 곡가공 연구 (A Study of Bending Using Long Type Coil by Discrete Method)

  • The induction heating is more efficient for a plate bending because of its easy operation and control of working parameters, compared with the heating by a gas torch. The existing axis symmetric analysis method could neither handle initial curved plates nor be used in the optimization of coil shapes because of its limit of an axis symmetric coil shape. But the proposed method using some discrete part models and analysis processes could overcome these difficulties and show more accurate results in temperatures and deflections of flat or curved plates with initial curvature than those in the existing axis symmetric analysis method. This method is composed of the multi-disciplinary analyses such as an electro magnetic analysis, a heat transfer analysis and a deformation analysis based on inherent strain approach per each step. Traditionally, the coil shape in the induction heating is circular shape and it needs the moving process along heating lines. To overcome this, the 'Long Type Coil' with some linear parallel coils was proposed. It did not need the moving process along heating lines and reduced the heating process time. The results of experiments were compared with those of the simulation.

원점 대칭 분산 맵과 OPC를 가진 광전송 링크 (Optical Transmission Link with Dispersion Map of Antipodal Symmetry and OPC)

  • 단일 모드 광섬유의 본질적인 색 분산과 비선형 Kerr 효과에 의해 왜곡되는 파장 분할 다중 신호의 보상을 위한 광 위상 공액기를 갖는 분산 제어 링크에서의 보상 효과 제고를 위한 원점 대칭 구조의 분산 맵을 제안하였다. 제안된 모든 형태의 원점 대칭 분산맵을 갖는 분산 제어 링크는 전통적인 균일 구조의 분산 제어 링크에 비해 파장 분할 다중 채널의 왜곡 보상에 효과적이라는 것을 확인하였다. 특히 알파벳 S자 형태의 분산 맵보다 알파벳 S자를 상하 반전시킨 형태인 분산 맵의 구조를 다양한 형태로 변형시켜도 왜곡 보상에 유리하다는 것을 확인하였다. 제안된 원점 대칭 구조의 분산 맵을 전송 링크에 적용하면 광 네트워크의 토폴로지를 보다 다양하게 구성할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
