여름용 잠옷착용실태와 구매행동에 관한 연구-충청지역 도시를 중심으로- (A Study on Use and Purchase Behavior of Sleeping wear for Summer in Chungchong area.)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate use and purchase behavior of sleeping wear for summer. Subjects in this study were composed of 591 males and females aged from twenties to fifties, living in Taejon and Chongju. For data analysis, descriptive analysis, $\chi$$^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA, and factor analysis were used. The results are as follows. First, subjects used sleeping wear(a night gown and pajamas), and home wear(T-shirts and sweat suit with zippered top) with similar rates. The subjects, who are females, married, older and have professional jobs, owned sleeping wear such as a night gown and pajamas more than home wear. Also, the mean of using pajamas was the highest, and they were satisfied with them more than others who didn't wear them. Second, one-third of consumers purchased sleeping wear once a year in a specialty store. Consumers mainly searched for information regarding sleeping wear in the display section. Most consumers weren't influenced by others when they made their purchases. When consumers decided to purchase a product, they considered six criteria such as fabric/management, wearing/fitness, esthetic, service, symbolic status, and economic for evaluating. Among them, the factor wearing/fitness was considered the most important. These results imply that consumers would be conscious of sleeping wear even though sleeping wear and home wear are used interchangeably. In addition, consumer behavior concerning sleeping wear is different from their characteristics such as sex, age, occupation, the level of education, and marital state. Therefore, the markets with sleeping wear would be able to be segmented based on consumers’characteristics. Also, marketers should focus on distribution channels to reform the markets of sleeping wear, that is, they may offer products in specialty stores. Additionally, market managers would be able to concentrate on visual merchandising in stores in order to increase brand awareness and market share.

가람배치(伽藍配置)의 내원(來源)과 중국적 전개양상 고찰 (A Consideration on Origin of Temple Building Arrangement and Chinese Spreading Pattern)

  • In that the Buddhism is the religion founded by Buddha, the settlement of Buddha's existence is very important in the temple building arrangement which symbolizes the Buddha's world. What symbolizes the Buddha in the temple are the pagoda and the Buddhist image. Among them, the Buddhist image is directly connected with the Golden Hall. This kind of double structure is settled as a typical pattern for the arrangement of buildings such as halls and pagodas. The earlier one between the pagoda and Buddhist image is the pagoda, of course. It can be inferred that, through the gradual expansion of the Buddhist images, the gravity was transferred from the pagoda to the Golden Hall. But, if the Buddhist image can be connected with the Golden Hall in that it was the product reflecting the requests on the Buddha and his teaching, the internal origin of the Buddhist image should also go back to the early Buddhism. In fact, the gravest building in Venuvana - vihara or Jetavana - anaehapindasyarama was the Golden Hall, the Buddha's residence. And in the summit of Grdhrakuta or Jetavana - anaehapindasyarama where Buddha stayed long, there is the gandha - kuti the Buddha's place till now. It means that the symbolic request on the Buddha and his teaching had existed even before the Buddhist image and that this tendency could be connected with the generation of Buddhist image. This paper is to show that the hall / pagoda structure generalized in the building arrangement of later age was originated not just from the Buddhist image and the sarira pagoda but from the gandha - kuti and the hair pagoda, and therefore the two should coexist inevitably. It is an attempt to develop a little more in the ideological perspective the general theory that the pagoda and the Buddhist image were fused into one precinct of temple later in their respective origins. That is, it tries to recognize the relation of pagoda and hall not as the conflicting one but as the complementary one.

한국화 모티브를 활용한 어패럴용 텍스타일 CAD 디자인 (Textile Design with CAD for Apparel Employing Motives from Korean Traditional Paintings)

  • We believe distinguishable product development to be competitive against foreign products, and realize the need to expand domestic business worldwide. In order to be competitive, we should produce fashion items that meets global taste, and at the same time contain exclusive Korean culture and emotional beauty. This article examines and creates unique textile design with the touch of Korean art. Desigus have been proceeded under the following three themes: 'Strong Ego,' 'Gorgeous Days' and 'Song Eternal Seeking Love' using Primavision Computer-aided Design ("CAD"). We have put our interestes in Korean traditional paintings called Hangukhwa. Suitable design motives had been selected and modified from the four gracious plants (bamboos, peonies etc.), and paintings of birds and flowers. Primavision, a CAD software, had been used to manipulate those desigus, and to add instant changes in color, scale, and layout. We had modified Korean traditional motives to make modem image, and had arranged layouts which can be suitable for half-drop repeat and square repeat. The use of color is essential in pattern design. Thus, we explored coloring ways for each design to meet the trends, and the final mapping had been conducted in western style of dresses. We have tried to mix Korean image of textile designs with Western clothing style, expressing hybrid in the mapping process. With global movements, we need to develop products with Korean traditional exotic taste to attract foreign consumers. Therefore, we selected symbolic motives from Korean paintings to express deep spiritual significance. We developed textile design and processed mapping on selected western designer's dress, employing current trend colors and making crossover coordination. We realized Korean painting would be an excellent source for exclusive fabric design, and tried to create a modernized design which maintains Korean ethnical identities.

다뉴경(多鈕鏡) 문양의 기하학적 요소를 활용한 텍스타일디자인 연구 (A study on textile design utilizing geometric elements of Danyugyung)

  • The study intends to seek the creative ideas that can satisfy the needs of individual consumers by rediscovering the modern meaning and the artistic value of geometric ornaments engraved on the backside of Danyugyung, which is a traditional Korean pattern. In terms of the study method, the symbolic meaning and formative characteristics of Danyugyung were determined, and the form of its pattern and the geometric characteristics were analyzed. Based on this, Photoshop and illustrations were used to apply the shapes of Danyugyung and internal patterns to the textile designs, and the results are as follows. Firstly, it was found that Danyugyung was associated with the bronze mirror, which was used from the Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age, and was the product of artistic activities and an object and acted as a shamanistic and authoritative symbol of the ruling parties, which were responsible for the acts related to the spiritual world. Secondly, it was discovered that forms of Danyugyung were classified into Jomungyung and Semungyung in accordance with Forms of Danyugyung (造飾), and the formative features of the geometric ornaments that were engraved in great detail on the backside could be found in the images which change according to the form of the inner patterns. Thirdly, with regard to the development of the textile designs utilizing the shape and inner patterns of Danyugyung based on the formative features, it was could discover that the simple shape of Danyugyung presented a value which can be applied as a unique design factor delivering a visual rhythm by attempting to create various harmonies overlapping lines engraved on the inner patterns and the shapes of Danyugyung. Based on the above-mentioned outcomes, the possibility was confirmed that Danyugyung can be used as a novel motif and as a standard unit of patterns for textile design. With future studies, I would like to utilize the unique and diverse images as pattern motif for textile design.

Types of Shamanistic Expression Reflected in the Modern Fashion and Its Aesthetic Characteristics

  • The modern fashion contains the religious factors or theories out of numerous cultural traits. Shamanism is a product of the very complicated combination of diversified cultural phenomena and whose traits are depicted as spiritual and artistic forms, reflecting on the materialism culture, social relations, customs, and religious faith. The Shamanism that lies in the life of humans gives much impact on their clothing life up to date, consciously or nonconsciously as well. The Shamanism clothing studied as yet has been focused on the costumes that a Shamanism priest and a shaman, the principal Shamanism performer wears and on the symbolic meaning or formativeness of the traditional shaman clothing that is only confined to certain local regions. The Shamanism in the modern costume influences not only on the traditional clothing unique to shaman but also on the other apparels in a widely extended sense. Nevertheless, the research on the modern costumes related to Shamanism is yet to be progressed. In this context, it is believed that the examination of Shamanism interrelated with a contemporary clothing expression is needed. This work would take a look specifically at how the Shamanism is given in the modern clothing fashion and review the inherent aesthetic characteristics. A fact was driven through this study that the shamanism shown in fashion is not only expressed in the modern style of shaman clothing but also unconsciously absorbed in the fashion on the whole. A finding was also revealed that the geometrical and abstract expression, the implication of animistic components, and the application of inherent shaman's costume on to design in regard to clothing are related to a view point of studying about shamanism. The meaning in each expressive method is focused on the superhumanistic desire of shamanism.

충남지역의 관광민예품 개발에 관한 연구 -섬유 및 금속공예를 중심으로- (A study on the tourism folklore development in choongnam province)

  • Recently the tourism industry has achieved rapid growth and thus stands out as a means for the improvement of international payments and the acquirement of foreign currency. In particular, the hotel and major tourist travel industries have been developed for the inducement of foreign tourists. However, the manu-facturing and sales indust\ulcornerries of tourism folklore haven't developed. The reason is that the endeavor to attract tourists has been more emphasized than the development of tourism folklore which includes chief shopping items and indust-rialization. Tourism folklore plays a great role not only as material evidence of a tourist's visit to a country or region but also as a gift and a souvenir. Also it represents the image and the degree of the industrial development of the nation, so it should be congruent with the nature and the images of the region. Nevertheless, our tourism folklore has been merely mass produced by specific companies that do not represent the region's image and nature in their products. Tourism folklore development can raise the image of Choongnam and serve as a catalyst to induce tourists. Also, it can be an avenue for com$$\mu$ity publicity and industrialization. Thus, this study has examined and analyzed original products made with textiles and metal materials whether can be developed into tourism folklore. Also this study presents the example of developed tourism folklore works in a foreign country. It tries to give the unique symbolic image of Choongnam by developing the original products with Choongnam' s own materials. However, this study has shown that the actual conditions of tourism folklore development in Choongnam are seriously inferior to other industries. The producers are limited. Moreover, the product items are coarse. Many problems are being brought up which should be improved. Hereafter, to develop Choongnam's own tourism folklore, it should be carried out with financial and political support from the government, design development by industrial circles, professional design training and marketing research by the sellers.

시각기호의 의미작용에 대한 이해와 해석범주에 대한 고찰 (Examination on Rational Interpretation Criteria and Signification of Visual Symbols)

  • 디자인은 시대와 문화현상을 반영하는 특성상 보는 관점에 따라 기호-기능에 대한 해석이 달라질 수 있음을 누구나 주지하면서도 기업들은 디자이너에게 끊임없이 완벽한 이해와 만족을 강요하고 있다. 동시에 디자이너의 해석은 언제나 주관적이며 불완전하다고 인식하고 있기에 그것이 최적의 기준이라고 받아들이지도 않는다. 이러한 현상은 디자이너에게도 동일하게 클라이언트에 대하여 나타난다. 이렇듯 서로의 오류 가능성만 인지하는 상황이라면 디자이너와 사용자 간의 충돌은 피할 수 없게 되는 것이다. 이러한 문제해결을 위하여 디자인 개발단계에서부터 해석관점의 논리성과 객관성 그리고 이해와 합의를 위한 평가기준의 개발이 요구되는 것이다. 그래픽디자인은 문화현상을 대변하는 유형적(有形的) 산물이며, 시각기호를 탐구해가는 무한한 기호작용 과정으로 이해되어야 하기에 기호학적 대상이다. 따라서 기호학적 접근은 시각기호의 다의적인 의미구조에 대하여 보다 구체적이고 분석적인 해석이 가능하게 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 그래픽디자인의 기호-기능의 의미작용관계에 대한 이해와 해석의 범주제시를 위하여 기호학적 접근을 시도하였으며, 이를 통하여 전략적인 디자인 개발과 합리적인 평가방법에 있어 유용한 수단이 되기를 기대한다.

슈퍼 히어로 피규어의 외형적 시각요소 평가에 따른 구매의도 (Purchase Intention depending on Appraisal of Outward Visual Elements in Superhero Action Figures)

  • 슈퍼 히어로 영화는 모든 세대를 아우를 수 있는 새로운 장르 컨벤션을 형성하였다. 영상콘텐츠에서 파생된 피규어는 전문적인 조형기술을 통해 제작된 입체 조형물이다. 피규어에 대한 소유는 가상과 현실을 연결시켜 주는 매개체로써 상징적 의미를 가진다. 이러한 관점에서 피규어는 콘텐츠 산업의 시장 확장에 따른 파생된 캐릭터 상품으로써 중요한 부분을 차지한다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 슈퍼히어로 피규어의 외형적 시각요소 평가가 구매의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 분석함으로써 소비자구매형태를 확인하는 것이 그 목적이다. 이를 위해 독립변인을 캐릭터의 외형적 시각요소 평가로써 색상, 신체유형, 얼굴모양, 동작으로, 종속변인은 구매의도로 하여 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 색상, 신체유형, 얼굴모양은 구매의도에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 동작은 구매의도에 유의미한 영향력이 없는 것으로 나타났다.

프로야구 라이센싱 패션제품 현황 분석 및 디자인 개발 (A Study on the Analysis and Design Development of Licensed Fashion Products of Professional Baseball)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop licensed fashion products based on the analysis of Korean professional baseball licensing. This study reviewed the introduction of sports marketing, licensing programs, and analyzed the current status of licensing brands and products in Korean baseball clubs. Based on this analysis, high value added licensed products were developed for Korean professional baseball clubs. The results of this study were as follows. First, all Korean baseball clubs operated offline shopping malls in their home stadiums and posted online shopping mall links on their websites. Moreover, licensed products were developed through agreements with sports and licensing companies, and sales were being done through official shopping malls, open markets, and shopping malls. Various marketing for specific events or targets were not done well. Second, licensed products were mostly fashion products such as clothing and hats. Most of them were unisex wear, but the proportion of fashion products for women was not large. Also, while the licensed products used elements that made the baseball team feel symbolic throughout, they sometimes sold products that did not reveal the identity of the professional baseball team, with an emphasis on motifs that were unrelated to the team. Third, this study selected KIA Tigers and developed 27 kinds of women's licensed fashion products including textile designs. Through this research, it was derived that there is the need for integrated marketing of Korean professional baseball, diversification of consumer-based licensing products, and enhanced entertainment products for the Korean baseball cheering culture.

메밀가루를 첨가한 옐로우 레이어 케이크의 품질특성 (Characteristics Quality of Yellow Layer Cakes with Added Buckwheat Flour)

  • 메밀가루의 첨가량(0, 10, 20, 30, 40)을 다르게 제조한 옐로우 레이어 케이크의 품질 특성을 조사하였다. 반죽의 비중은 메밀가루 첨가량이 증가할수록 증가하였다. 케이크 단면의 색도는 메밀가루 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 L값과 b값(황색도)은 낮았으나, a값(적색도)은 증가하였다. 케이크 부피는 메밀가루 첨가량이 많을수록 부피가 작아지는 경향이었다. 케이크 대칭성 및 균일성지수는 대조구와 비교하여 유의적인 차이가 없었으나, 굽기손실률은 메밀가루 첨가 시 다소 낮게 나타났다. 경도는 대조구 보다 메밀가루 첨가량이 증가할수록 유의적으로 높게 나타났다. 관능검사에서 맛은 메밀가루 20% 첨가 시 높은 점수를 얻었으며, 조직감과 종합적기호는 메밀가루 20% 첨가 시까지는 대조구와 유의적 차이가 없었다. 따라서, 밀가루의 일부를 메밀가루로 대체하여 옐로우레이어케이크를 제조하는 경우에는 메밀가루 20% 수준 첨가 시 케이크의 품질이나 기호적 특성이 향상된 제품으로 제조 가능할 것으로 기대된다.
