  • In this paper, adaptive channel borrowing approach fuzzy neural networks for load balancing (ACB-FNN) is presented to maximized the number of served calls and the depending on asymmetries traffic load problem. In a wireless network, the call's arrival rate, the call duration and the communication overhead between the base station and the mobile switch center are vague and uncertain. A new load balancing algorithm with cell involved negotiation is also presented in this paper. The ACB-FNN exhibits better learning abilities, optimization abilities, robustness, and fault-tolerant capability thus yielding better performance compared with other algorithms. It aims to efficiently satisfy their diverse quality-of-service (QoS) requirements. The results show that our algorithm has lower blocking rate, lower dropping rate, less update overhead, and shorter channel acquisition delay than previous methods.

  • This paper is a record of the study on a high efficiency and high power chopper based on the new soft switching method QRAS (Quasi~resonant Regenerating Active Snubber) designed for a Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV). This power chopper is basically proposed for 25kHz soft switching. To confirm the practicality and effectiveness of the converter, the fabrication of a prototype-model using IGBTs was completed. Additionally, a 8kW rating test, a light load test, a current discontinuous mode test and a stable operation resonance test was completed. The circuit geometry, the basic operation, and the 8kW one-tenth-prototype test results are reported with a $97.5\%$ efficiency measurement.

  • In the charge system, a contact type-convenient-charging method is insufficient because of the contact failure around moist environment and troublesome question to put in and pull out. For the solution of this problem, an electromagnetically coupled non-contact charger for the rechargeable cell is proposed using ZVS multi-resonant forward converter. In this paper magnetizing inductance, leakage inductance and coupling coefficient, k are observed. By using the obserbed value, the proposed circuit is simulated by the PSPICE and implemented and the peak voltage of switch and output power are measured.

  • The isolated boost DC-DC converter based on three switches in fuel cell applications is presented in this paper. The major advantages of the proposed converter are as follows: continuous input current; decrease one active switch and no use snubber circuit. The operating principles and analysis of the proposed converter have been discussed. A 400 W prototype has been tested in the laboratory to verify the performance of the proposed converter and a PID controller was used to clarify the DC output voltage at 400 V. The simulation and experimental results are shown to validate the theoretical analysis.

  • This paper presents handover algorithm method using fuzzy rules and neura1 network. In future mobile communication systems, the amount of call requests over a region will increase dramatically. This problem has to be solved by decreasing the cell size. But, this method lets a mobile station switch the a base station at a higher rate. In order to maintain better mobile communication system in a micro or pico cellular system, better handover algorithm must be devoloped. In this paper, we propose a handover algorithm which is based on the fuzzy teory that is applied to make rules with the parameters and neural network that is to learn rules. This new handover algorithm is tested by computer simulation and compared with the conventional algorithms.

  • In ATM Network, many algorithms have been proposed for rate-based ABR flow control. The object of these Algorithms is to turn around from cell loss and to use the unused bandwidth by ABR Traffic. These Algorithms are applied to control ABR Traffic by EFCI and ER switches. In previous paper, we showed the using rate of bandwidth for the characteristic of each algorithm applied these algorithm network. In this paper, we will do that to apply these algorithms to a network and to make a graph of characteristic of each algorithm.

  • Objective: This study investigated the effects of intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) during late pregnancy on the cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation in ovine fetal thymuses. Methods: Eighteen time-mated Mongolian ewes with singleton fetuses were allocated to three groups at d 90 of pregnancy: restricted group 1 (RG1, 0.18 MJ ME/body weight [BW]0.75/d, n = 6), restricted group 2 (RG2, 0.33 MJ ME/BW0.75/d, n = 6) and control group (CG, ad libitum, 0.67 MJ ME/BW0.75/d, n = 6). Fetuses were recovered at slaughter on d 140. Results: The G0/G1 phase cell number in fetal thymus of the RG1 group was increased but the proliferation index and the expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) were reduced compared with the CG group (p<0.05). Fetuses in the RG1 group exhibited decreased growth hormone receptor (GHR), insulin-like growth factor 2 receptor (IGF-2R), and their mRNA expressions (p<0.05). For the RG2 fetuses, there were no differences in the proliferation index and PCNA expression (p>0.05), but growth hormone (GH) and the mRNA expression of GHR were lower than those of the CG group (p<0.05). The thymic mRNA expressions of cyclin-dependent protein kinases (CDKs including CDK1, CDK2, and CDK4), CCNE, E2-factors (E2F1, E2F2, and E2F5) were reduced in the RG1 and RG2 groups (p<0.05), and decreased mRNA expressions of E2F4, CCNA, CCNB, and CCND were occurred in the RG1 fetuses (p<0.05). The decreased E-cadherin (E-cad) as a marker for epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) was found in the RG1 and RG2 groups (p<0.05), but the OB-cadherin which is a marker for activated fibroblasts was increased in fetal thymus of the RG1 group (p<0.05). Conclusion: These results indicate that weakened GH/IGF signaling system repressed the cell cycle progression in G0/G1 phase in IUGR fetal thymus, but the switch from reduced E-cad to increased OB-cadherin suggests that transdifferentiation process of EMT associated with fibrogenesis was strengthened. The impaired cell growth, retarded proliferation and modified differentiation were responsible for impaired maturation of IUGR fetal thymus.

  • The Ras superfamily of small G-proteins acts as a molecular switch on the intracellular signaling pathway. Upon ligand stimulation, inactive GTPases (Ras-GDP) are activated (Ras-GTP) using guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) and transmit signals to their downstream effectors. Following signal transmission, active Ras-GTP become inactive Ras-GDP and cease signaling. However, the intrinsic GTPase activity of Ras proteins is weak, requiring Ras GTPase-activating protein (RasGAP) to efficiently convert RAS-GTP to Ras-GDP. Since deregulation of the Ras pathway is found in nearly 30% of all human cancers, it might be useful to clarify the structural and physiological roles of Ras GTPases. Recently, RasGAP has emerged as a new class of tumor-suppressor protein and a potential therapeutic target for cancer. Therefore, it is important to clarify the physiological roles of the individual GAPs in human diseases. The first RasGAP discovered was RASA1, also known as p120 RasGAP. RASA1 is widely expressed, independent of cell type and tissue distribution. Subsequently, neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) was discovered. The remaining GAPs are affiliated with the GAP1 and synaptic GAP (SynGAP) families. There are more than 170 Ras GTPases and 14 Ras GAP members in the human genome. This review focused on the current understanding of Ras GTPase and RasGAP in human diseases, including cancers.
