The Effect of Leader Emotional Labor on Followers' Work Engagement : Examining the Role of Followers' PsyCap and Quality of LMX (리더의 감정노동이 부하의 직무몰입에 미치는 영향 : 심리적 자본과 상사-부하관계의 효과 연구)

  • Almost all research on emotional labor has focused on how services workers use emotional labor. However, this study examined that leaders' emotional labor influence follower's outcomes. Especially, this study tested how the leader emotional labor influence followers' work engagement and mediating role of PsyCap between leader emotional labor and followers' work engagement. In addition, this study investigated the quality of LMX as moderator the relationship between leader emotional labor and followers' work engagement. The SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0 was used in this study. The results collected from 469 employees in domestic large Telecom and their related companies revealed that leader emotional labor positively influence followers' work engagement and PsyCap. Especially, leader deep acting and surface acting positively influence followers' work engagement, but not display of genuine emotion, and leader deep acting only positively influence followers' PsyCap. Furthermore, followers' PsyCap partially mediated the relationship between leader emotional labor and followers' work engagement. Finally, the quality of LMX as moderator in link between leader emotional labor and followers' work engagement showed when followers in high-quality LMX. Implication and suggestion for future study are discussed.

Effect of Fe Ion-Exchanged BEA Zeolite Catalysts on N2O Decomposition Reaction Following Heat-treatment Temperatures (Fe 이온이 담지된 BEA 제올라이트 촉매의 열처리 온도에 따른 N2O 분해반응에 대한 영향)

  • The effect of heat-treatment temperature on the activity of catalysts was studied by investigating $N_2O$ decomposition reaction in Fe ion-supported BEA Zeolite. As a result of $N_2O$ decomposition reaction experiment, $N_2O$ decomposition activity significantly decreased as heat-treatment temperature of Fe/BEA catalyst increased. the shape and size of the particles of Fe/BEA catalyst following the rise of heat-treatment temperature did not display a significant change. But following the rise of the heat-treatment temperature, its surface area was significantly reduced. Also it was confirmed that as the heat-treatment temperature rose, the crystallization of ${\beta}$ structure was greatly reduced. And as heat-treatment temperature rose, while SiO structure either increased or did not exhibit much change, the structure of Fe bonded with lattice structure was speculated to decrease. From the stated results, it was concluded that the increase of heat-treatment temperature became the cause of the declined activity of catalysts by destruction of its ${\beta}$ structure of bonding aluminium and Fe atoms.

Determination of Optimal Electrotransformation Conditions for Various Lactobacillus spp. (다양한 Lactobacillus 균주에 대한 electrotransformation 최적 조건 탐색)

  • Lactobacillus spp., primary members of probiotics, have significant benefits for health and well-being of human. In this study Lactobacillus strains representing six species (L. paracasei KLB58, L. fermentum MS79 and KLB282, L. plantarum KLB213, L. gasseri KLB238, and L. reuteri KLB270) isolated from Korean adults were electrotransformed with plasmid pNCKH104. To determine optimal electrotransformation conditions, various conditions including cell wall weakening agent, electroporation buffer, electric field strength and time constant were tested for each strain. Overall, high transformation efficiency of approximately 2.5 ${\times}$ $10^3$ ${\sim}$ 5.5 ${\times}$ $10^4$ CFU/${\mu}g$ DNA was obtained where conditions of 0.5 M sucrose electroporation buffer, 1.8 kV pulse voltage and 5 ms time constant were applied. The common conditions developed in this study will make transformation of various Lactobacillus spp. easier than previous procedures.

Preparation and Properties of UV Curable Phlorogulcinol Based Acrylate for PET Film (PET 필름용 UV 경화 플로로글루시놀계 아크릴레이트 제조 및 물성)

  • Polyethyleneterephthalate (PET) film is widely used in various industrial fields such as mobile phone, display pannel, notebook etc. Recently PET film attached on indium tin oxide (ITO) surface has a role of high pencil hardness, high refractive index etc. So we synthesized two types of multi-functional monomer which are epoxy modifed acrylate and unmodified acrylate type using recyclable resource like phloroglucinol, derived from trinitrotoluene. We studied the effect of multi-functional monomer's chemical structure on the various properties such as refractive index, optical transmittance, and pencil hardness. We characterized synthesized multi-functional monomer by qualitative analysis through H NMR. We observed that pencil hardness of 1,3,5-triepoxide benzene and 1,3,5-triacrylate benzene they have the range of 2~3 H at high UV dosage of 300 mW. Refractive index appeared the value of 1.54~1.57. Transmittance of all multi-functional monomers has more than 93%.

Properties and Provenance of Loess-paleosol Sequence at the Daebo Granite Area of Buan, Jeonbuk Province, South Korea (전북 부안 화강암지역 뢰스-고토양 연속층의 퇴적물 특성과 기원지)

  • We examined soil properties and provenance of loess-paleosol sequences at the Daebo Granite area of Buan, Jeonbuk Province, South Korea. The section consists of the surface layer, Layer 1(paleosol), Layer 2(loess), Layer 3(paleosol), Layer 4(loess), and Layer 5(paleosol), from top to bottom and thickness of the exposed section is approximately 280cm. The magnetic susceptibility values show the distinct variations between the loess- and the paleosol layer. Even though pH, ORP, water content, and soil hardness do not display the obvious differences in the section, the organic content indicates the variation similar to those of the magnetic susceptibility. In the respect of the soil colors measured under 3 conditions, although the variations of the wet soil color exceedingly reflect the difference of the layers, these variations are obscure in some points in the section due to the characteristics of the Munsell color system. Based on the geomorphological properties, sedimentary structure, the difference of the major element composition and the condrite-normalized rare earth element(REE) patterns showing the clear difference from the adjacent bedrocks and stream sediments and the similarity to those of the Chinese Loess Plateau, it is suggested that the section was formed by the material originated from the Chinese Loess Plateau and peripheral areas. However, because the material experienced the alteration after sedimentation under the environment of the sediment area, it has the properties different from the material in the provenance areas. This phenomenon may result in the climatic condition of Korea, especially in precipitation.

Development of the Most Optimized Ionizer for Reduction in the Atmospheric Pressure and Inert Gas Area (감압대기 및 불활성가스 분위기에서 적합한 정전기 제거장치의 개발)

  • In LCD Display or semiconductor manufacturing processes, the anti-static technology of glass substrates and wafers becomes one of the most difficult issues which influence the yield of the semiconductor manufacturing. In order to overcome the problems of wafer surface contamination various issues such as ionization in decompressed vacuum and inactive gas(i.e. $N_2$ gas, Ar gas, etc.) environment should be considered. Soft X ray radiation is adequate in air and $O_2$ gas at atmospheric pressure while UV radiation is effective in $N_2$ gas Ar gas and at reduced pressure. At this point of view, the "vacuum ultraviolet ray ionization" is one of the most suitable methods for static elimination. The vacuum ultraviolet can be categorized according to a short wavelength whose value is from 100nm to 200nm. this is also called as an Extreme Ultraviolet. Most of these vacuum ultraviolet is absorbed in various substances including the air in the atmosphere. It is absorbed substances become to transit or expose the electrons, then the ionization is initially activated. In this study, static eliminator based on the vacuum ultraviolet ray under the above mentioned environment was tested and the results show how the ionization performance based on vacuum ultraviolet ray can be optimized. These vacuum ultraviolet ray performs better in extreme atmosphere than an ordinary atmospheric environment. Neutralization capability, therefore, shows its maximum value at $10^{-1}{\sim}10^{-3}$ Torr pressure level, and than starts degrading as pressure is gradually reduced. Neutralization capability at this peak point is higher than that at reduced pressure about $10^4$ times on the atmospheric pressure and by about $10^3$ times on the inactive gas. The introductions of these technology make it possible to perfectly overcome problems caused by static electricity and to manufacture ULSI devices and LCD with high reliability.

The Improvement of Fabrication Process for a-Si:H TFT's Yield (a-Si:H TFT의 수율 향상을 위한 공정 개선)

  • TFT's have been intensively researched for possible electronic and display applications. Through tremendous engineering and scientific efforts, a-Si:H TFT fabrication process was greatly improved. In this paper, the reason on defects occurring at a-Si:H TFT fabrication process is analyzed and solved, so a-Si:H TFT's yield is increased and reliability is improved. The a-Si:H TFT of this paper is inverted staggered type TFT. The gate electrode is formed by patterning with length of $8{\mu}m{\sim}16{\mu}m$ and width of $80{\sim}200{\mu}m$ after depositing with gate electrode (Cr). We have fabricated a-SiN:H, conductor, etch-stopper and photo-resistor on gate electrode in sequence, respectively. We have deposited n+a-Si:H, NPR(Negative Photo Resister) layer after forming pattern of Cr gate electrode by etch-slower pattern. The NPR layer by inverting pattern of upper Sate electrode is patterned and the n+a-Si:H layer is etched by the NPR pattern. The NPR layer is removed. After Cr layer is deposited and patterned, the source-drain electrode is formed. The a-Si:H TFT made like this has problems at photo-lithography process caused by remains of PR. When sample is cleaned, this remains of PR makes thin chemical film on surface and damages device. Therefor, in order to improve this problem we added ashing process and cleaning process was enforced strictly. We can estimate that this method stabilizes fabrication process and makes to increase a-Si:H TFT's yield.

  • True color images display colors similar to natural colors. This has the advantage that it is possible to monitor rapidly the complex earth atmosphere phenomenon and the change of the surface type. Currently, various organizations are producing true color images. In Korea, it is necessary to produce true color images by replacing generations with next generation weather satellites. Therefore, in this study, visual enhancement for true color image production was performed using Top of Atmosphere (TOA) data of Advanced Himawari Imager (AHI) sensor mounted on Himawari-8 satellite. In order to improve the visualization, we performed two methods of Nonlinear enhancement and Histogram equalization. As a result, Histogram equalization showed a strong bluish image in the region over $70^{\circ}$ Solar Zenith Angle (SZA) compared to the Nonlinear enhancement and nonlinear enhancement technique showed a reddish vegetation area.

Analysis of Propagation Environment for Selecting R-Mode Reference and Integrity Station (R-Mode 보정국과 감시국 선정을 위한 전파환경 분석에 관한 연구)

  • In ocean field, the spread of the Fourth Industrial Revolution based on information and communication technology requires high precision and stable PNT&D (Position, Navigation, Timing and Data). As the IMO (International Maritime Organization) and IALA (The International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities) are requiring backup systems due to mitigate vulnerabilities and the increase of dependency on GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System), Korea is conducting a research & development of R-Mode. An DGPS (Differentiate Global Positioning System) reference station that uses MF, an existing maritime infrastructure, and AIS (Automatic Identification System) base stations that use 34 integrity station and VHF will be utilized in this study to avoid redundant investment. Because there are radio shadow areas that display low signal levels in the west sea, the establishment of new R-Mode reference and integrity station will be intended to resolve problems regrading the radio shadow area. Because the frequency has a characteristic in that radio wave transmits well along the ground (water surface) in low frequency band, simulation and measurement were conducted therefore this paper to propose candidate sites for R-Mode reference and integrity station resulted through p wave's propagation characteristics analysis. Using this paper, R-Mode reference and integrity station can be established at appropriate locations to resolve radio shadow areas in other regions.

Laser Transmission Welding of Flexible Substrates and Evaluation of the Mechanical Properties (플렉서블 기판의 레이저 투과 용접 및 기계적 특성 평가)

  • In order to improve the mechanical reliability of next-generation electronic devices including flexible, wearable devices, a high level of mechanical reliability is required at various flexible joints. Organic adhesive materials such as epoxy for bonding existing polymer substrates inevitably have an increase in the thickness of the joint and involve problems of thermodynamic damage due to repeated deformation and high temperature hardening. Therefore, it is required to develop a low-temperature bonding process to minimize the thickness of the joint and prevent thermal damage for flexible bonding. This study developed flexible laser transmission welding (f-LTW) that allows bonding of flexible substrates with flexibility, robustness, and low thermal damage. Carbon nanotube (CNT) is thin-film coated on a flexible substrate to reduce the thickness of the joint, and a local melt bonding process on the surface of a polymer substrate by heating a CNT dispersion beam laser has been developed. The laser process conditions were constructed to minimize the thermal damage of the substrate and the mechanism of forming a CNT junction with the polymer substrate. In addition, lap shear adhesion test, peel test, and repeated bending experiment were conducted to evaluate the strength and flexibility of the flexible bonding joint.
