This research proposes a finite element method to determine the natural vibration characteristics of the spinning disk-spindle system in a HDD including the flexibility of supporting structure. Finite element equations of each substructure are derived with the introduction of consistent variables to satisfy the geometric compatibility at the internal boundaries. The natural frequencies and modes from the global asymmetric matrix equations of motion are determined by using the implicit restarted Arnoldi iteration method. The validity of the proposed method is verified by the experimental modal testing. It also shows that the flexibility of base plate plays an important role to determine the natural frequencies of the spinning disk-spindle system in a HDD.

The importance of reliability information management for an effective product quality management has been increased. Reliability management requires many different kinds of human and technical expertise and cost over the various discipline in the organization. However, it is difficult task to set up appropriate and effective life data analysis because of lacking engineers with reliability knowledge, statistical background and of funds in small and medium-sized enterprise. It is needed to develop a low cost implementation architecture of reliability information supporting system for small and medium-sized enterprise under web environment. In this paper, research efforts are presented to solve such problems of small and medium-sized enterprise under web environment.

현실에서 경험하거나 당면하고 있는 실제적인 문제를 해결할 때 학습자는 학습의 의미를 느끼며 학습의 효과도 기대할 수 있다. 따라서 초등학교에서 일어날 수 있는 정보통신윤리교육 지도 상황에 따라 교사에게 필요한 자료들을 웹 상에서 제공하는 맞춤형 정보통신윤리교육 지원시스템을 개발하였다. 개발한 시스템에서는 정보통신윤리교육의 방법과 자료 및 그 활용 방법을 제공하고 있다. 시스템은 주제별로 맞춤형 자료를 제공함으로써 실제 상황에 적절한 정보통신윤리교육을 실시하는데 도움이 되었다. 또한 주제와 지원하는 자료의 적합 정도를 알려주어 다음 사용자가 자료를 선택하는데 도움이 되었으며, 교사의 지도 자료검색에 대한 부담을 덜어 주었다.

핸드폰의 화면 크기 때문에 핸드폰에서의 지도 서비스는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 핸드폰과 같은 작은 화면에서 효율적으로 지도 데이터를 표현하기 위해서는 첫째, 지도 일반화를 이용하여 상세한 지도 데이터를 간략하게 만드는 과정이 필요하며, 둘째, 간략화된 데이터를 계층화하여 사용자의 확대 축소 명령을 빠르게 수행할 수 있어야 한다. 그러나, 기존의 연구들은 일부의 지도 일반화만 지원하거나 실시간으로 처리하지 못하는 문제점들을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 LMG-tree는 계층화된 하나의 색인 트리를 사용함으로 저장 공간의 효율성을 가지고 있으며, 지도 일반화를 지원하여 실시간 지도 서비스가 가능하도록 하였다.

This paper deals with a method calculating various hull form parameters which are required in numerical analysis for ship performance such as motion, maneuverability, resistance and propulsion, etc. After the hull form is designed, before the model tests the ship's performances are evaluated by various analysis tools in which the hull form parameters are used with many kinds of forms aside from offset data. Here, The hull form parameters characterize the properties of hull form and contain positional, differential and integral information implicitly. Generally, the commercial CAD-system has not functions enough for supporting these form parameters and therefore each shipyard uses its own in-house analysis program as well as commercial analysis software. To overcome these limitations, modules for supporting these analysis programs have developed. The modules contain cubic composite spline cure using local curve fairing, intersect algorithm, Gaussian integral, and other geometric techniques needed in calculating hull form parameters. Using our analysis-supporting modules, a complex hull form can be remodeled exactly to the hull form designed by CAD-system and any hull form parameter required in various performance analyses can be calculated.

The importance on the flow to the lifelong education system has been growing, as the eternal education is in a pivotal position according to the education system all over the world is changing rapidly. In particular, although consolidating instructor competencies for lifelong education have become the subject of conversation, there has not been any clear concept of lifelong education instructors nor of the competencies for those. So this research defined lifelong education instructors who work at various lifelong education facilities, especially those who focus on lectures, and the instructor competencies, and make analysis and deductions what types of competencies are necessary for effective and efficient teaching. For this, the researcher derived the concept of instructors and the instructor competencies for lifelong education through document analysis, and based on that, discovered the instructor competencies for lifelong education by experts review and survey. The result revealed that there were four types of instructor competencies for lifelong education, which were planning, managing, administrating, and supporting and encouraging students. There were searching needs of students, analyzing, and 13 other criteria for planning; managing human resources, materials management, and 7 other for managing; expertise in learning contents and 13 other for administrating; and giving feedback and 3 other for supporting and encouraging students.

Recently, as the heterogeneous network (HetNet) has been deployed widely to support various kinds of Radio Access Networks(RANs) with a combination of Macro, Pico, and/or Femto cells, research and standardization efforts have been very active regarding the concept of Licensed Shared Access (LSA) for supporting spectrum sharing. In order for a mobile device to efficiently support the spectrum sharing, the mobile device shall be reconfigurable, meaning that its radio application code has to be adaptively changed in accordance with the hopping of desired spectral band. Especially, Working Group 2 (WG2) of Technical Committee (TC) Reconfigurable Radio System (RRS) of European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) has been a main driving force for developing standard architecture for Multi-mode Mobile Device (MD) that can be applied to the LSA system. In this paper, we introduce the Multi-mode MD architecture for supporting LSA-based spectrum sharing. An implementation of a test-bed of Multi-mode MD is presented in order to verify the feasibility of the standard MD architecture for the purpose of LSA-based spectrum sharing through various experimental tests.
