  • Existing grade crossings between railway and roadway area gradually changed to grade separation systems by the law. In the case of new roadway construction which crosses railways, it shall be grade separation system in principle. With the railway underground crossing method, many practices have been developed which can minimize rail displacements and avoid rail release. With these methods, the effects to the train can be reduced. The underground crossing methods can be identified as open-cut methods and non open-cut methods. The open-cut methods include temporary support methods and special rail construction methods. Also the non open-cut methods includes pipe roof methods, front jacking methods, messer shield methods, NTR methods and JES methods. Among these, the most suitable method is applied considering safety, economy, class of each rail system (train passing frequency and velocity), etc. In the non open-cut methods, the cost and duration shall be increased to keep existing rail system during construction. In the open-cut methods which use plate girders, the rail speed shall be restricted due to the displacement and vibration of the girder. In this study new grade separation methods were developed. With this method, the safety during construction can be increased. This method refines temporary support methods, but pc slab girder with huge stiffness is applied instead of plate girders. With this method, the rail displacement can be reduced and higher safety can be obtained during construction. Also construction cost and duration can be minimized because the temporary work and the overburden soil depth can be reduced.

  • Objective: This study examined the relationships between negative affect, social support, and career maturity among adolescents. Methods: The participants in this study comprised 260 $1^{th}$ junior high school students in a Seoul metropolitan area. They completed questionnaires on level of negative affect, social support, and career maturity. Data were analyzed by means of basic descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlations, and multiple and hierarchical regression analyses. Aiken and West's method was used to determine the interactive model's modality. Results: The major findings were as follows: First, negative affect was negatively correlated with social support and career maturity. Social support was positively correlated with career maturity. Second, significant interaction effects were found between negative affect and social support on career maturity; that is, for male students, significant interaction effects were found between negative affect and social support (parent support) on career maturity (career determinacy/career independence). For female students, significant interaction effects were found between negative affect and social support (peer support) on career maturity (career confidence/career readiness/career determinacy/career independence). Conclusion: These results suggest the need to intervene in relation to social support (parent support/peer support) and to improve career maturity among adolescents.

  • In this paper a support vector method is proposed for use when the sample observations are contaminated by a normally distributed measurement error. The performance of deconvolution density estimators based on the support vector method is explored and compared with kernel density estimators by means of a simulation study. An interesting result was that for the estimation of kurtotic density, the support vector deconvolution estimator with a Gaussian kernel showed a better performance than the classical deconvolution kernel estimator.

  • The support vector machine has been well developed as a powerful tool for solving classification problems. In many real world applications, each training point has a different effect on constructing classification rule. Lin and Wang (2002) proposed fuzzy support vector machines for this kind of classification problems, which assign fuzzy memberships to the input data and reformulate the support vector classification. In this paper another intuitive approach is proposed by using the fuzzy ${\alpha}-cut$ set. It will show us the trend of classification functions as ${\alpha}$ changes.

  • In this paper we propose support vector quantile regression (SVQR) for randomly right censored data. The proposed procedure basically utilizes iterative method based on the empirical distribution functions of the censored times and the sample quantiles of the observed variables, and applies support vector regression for the estimation of the quantile function. Experimental results we then presented to indicate the performance of the proposed procedure.

  • In this paper, I propose an intelligent credit rating system using a bankruptcy prediction model based on support vector machines (SVMs). SVMs are promising methods because they use a risk function consisting of the empirical error and a regularized term which is derived from the structural risk minimization principle. This study examines the feasibility of applying SVM in Predicting corporate bankruptcies by comparing it with other data mining techniques. In addition. this study presents architecture and prototype of intelligeht credit rating systems based on SVM models.

  • Proposed herein is a shape design of a different rail support block with existing ones for the commercialization of the urban maglev. The rail support for existing test lines adopts monoblock steel sleeper, whereas an individual support system has been proposed to achieve an additional cost savings and to provide an emergency exit. Also, to enhance the easiness of installation and the repairability, alignment adjusting methods suitable for the new design have been devised.

  • Inspired by using a robust loss function in the support vector machine regression to control training error and the idea of robust template matching with M-estimator, Chen (2004) applies M-estimator techniques to gaussian radial basis functions and form a new class of robust kernels for the support vector machines. We are specially interested in the shape of the Huber's M-estimator in this context and propose a way to find the shape parameter of the Huber's M-estimating function. For simplicity, only the two-class classification problem is considered.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of patient's psycological distress on social support in the view of patient's regulatory focus. Methods : For this study 300 questionnaires were distributed to medical institution, Busan from July 19 through August 4, 2010. The contents item divided the general characteristics, social support, psychological distress, and regulatory focus. The collected data were analyzed by t-test and multi-regression analysis. Results : The results show that patient's psychological distress is significantly influenced by physical therapist's emotional support and informational support. Also, there were difference with the effect of psychological distress on social supports in the physical therapists according to patient's regulatory focus. Conclusion : The instrumental support is more important to patient with promotion-focus than patient with prevention-focus. The implication of this research confirmed that physical therapist's social support plays important role in decreasing patient's psychological distress.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand interpersonal dispositions and social support among high school students and identify factors associated with depression. Methods: A total of 604 students (320 males and 284 females) from four high schools conveniently sampled from high schools in the Incheon area participated in a self-administered survey. Results: According to hierarchical multiple regression analysis, the following factors significantly affected the participants' depression levels with the explanatory power of 30.6%: grade, perceived health status, sympathetic-acceptable personality, sociable-friendly personality, rebellious-distrustful personality, parent support, peer support, and the support from community. Conclusion: In this study, interpersonal dispositions and social support were positively associated with depression. These results suggest that strengthening personal relations and social support can help high school students in terms of mental health and suicide prevention.
