용접잔류응력장에서 피로균열의 전파에 따른 잔류응력 재분포에 대한 해석적 평가 (An Evaluation of Residual Stress Redistribution in the Welding Residual Stress Field Caused by Fatigue Crack Propagation by Finite Element Method)

  • An investigation was performed to predict residual stress redistribution for the crack propagation initially through tensile residual stress field. The analytical method, which is based on Dugdale model by finite element analysis using elastic analysis method considering the superposition principle, was proposed to estimate the redistribution of residual stress caused by crack propagation. The various aspect of distribution of residual stress caused by crack propagation was examined based on the configuration change of specimen. The analysis results show that the aspect of redistribution of residual stress caused by crack propagation depends on the width of the specimen provided that the initial distribution of residual stress is identical.

Comparison of model order reductions using Krylov and modal vectors for transient analysis under seismic loading

  • Generally, it is necessary to perform transient structural analysis in order to verify and improve the seismic performance of high-rise buildings and bridges against earthquake loads. In this paper, we propose the model order reduction (MOR) method using the Krylov vectors to perform seismic analysis for linear and elastic systems in an efficient way. We then compared the proposed method with the mode superposition method (MSM) by using the limited numbers of modal vectors (or eigenvectors) calculated from the modal analysis. In the calculation, the data of the El Centro earthquake in 1940 were adopted for the seismic loading in the transient analysis. The numerical accuracy and efficiency of the two methods were compared in detail in the case of a simplified high-rise building.

  • 일반 광섬유에 아크 방전을 인가하여 코어 및 클래딩의 직경 변화를 발생시켜 장주기 격자를 제작하는 방법이 소개되었다. 본 연구에서는 매우 약한 아크를 반복적으로 발생시켜 광섬유에 매우 약한 변형을 수 차례 주어 광섬유 격자 직경을 정밀하게 조절 할 수있는 방법을 사용한 중첩 장주기 광섬유 격자 제조 방법을 제안하였다. 또한 위상정합 조건을 이용하여 장주기 광섬유 격자의 직경 변화에 따른 공진 파장의 변화를 이론적으로 유도하였으며, 실험을 통해 확인하였다. 또한 실험 결과 아크 유도 광섬유 격자의 주기와 공진 파장과의 관계가 위상 정합 조건과 일치하는 것을 확인하였으며, 온도 변화에 따른 공진 파장의 변화를 측정하고 기계적 강도를 측정하였다.

  • PSC box girder의 정착부 설계방법들을 비교해본 결과, 기존 시방서에 따른 설계방법에서는 다수의 정착구에 긴장력이 작용할 때 긴장력의 작용순서와 그 크기에 따른 응력의 중첩효과를 고려할 수 없는 단점을 가지고 있었고, 3차원 유한요소해석을 이용한 설계에서는 응력집중부와 응력흐름을 정확히 파악할 수는 있지만 부재의 단면력을 산정하기가 매우 번거롭고 까다롭다는 단점을 가진다. 그러나 strut-tie 모델을 이용한 설계법에서는 긴장력의 긴장순서에 따른 응력중첩효과를 고려할 수 있고 부재의 단면력의 산정 또한 매우 간편하여 긴장력의 도입순서에 의해 변화하는 응력의 흐름을 잘 파악하여 strut-tie로 구성된 트러스 부재들의 기하학적 조건을 만족하도록 유의한다면 정착부의 설계에 가장 적합한 설계방법이라 할 수 있다.

전단류 하중을 받는 상부장력 라이저의 동적 응답 해석 (Dynamic Response Analysis of Top-tensioned Riser Under Sheared Current Load)

  • A numerical scheme based on a mode superposition method is presented for the dynamic response analysis of a top-tensioned riser (TTR) under sheared current loads. The natural frequencies and mode shapes of the TTR have been calculated analytically for a beam with a slowly varying tension and pinned-pinned boundary conditions at the top and bottom ends. The lift coefficients and corresponding amplitudes used to estimate the vortex-induced modal force and damping for each mode were predicted via iterative calculations based on the input and output power balancing concept. Here, the power-in regions were controlled by the normal distribution function, for which the center was coincident with the lock -in location by local vortex-shedding, and the range was defined by the constant standard deviation for the reduced velocity by the local current speed. Finally, dynamic responses such as root-mean-squared displacement and stress were calculated using the mode superposition technique. In order to verify the presented scheme, a numerical calculation was performed for a TTR under an arbitrary linearly sheared current and linearly varying tension. A comparison with the results of the existing software showed that the presented scheme could give reliable and feasible solutions. Case studies were performed to investigate the effects of various current loads and tensions.

중첩의 정리를 이용한 PMSM의 센서리스제어에 관한 연구 (Study On the Sensorless PMSM Control Using the Superposition Theory)

  • This study presents a solution to control a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor without sensors based on the superposition principle. Because the proposed method of sensorless theory is very simple to compute the estimated angle, computing time to estimate the angle is shorter than other sensorless method. The use of this system yields enhanced operations, fewer system components, lower system cost, energy efficient control system design and increased efficiency. The performance of a sensorless architecture allows an intelligent approach to reduce the complete system costs of the digital motion control applications using cheaper electrical motors without sensors. This paper deals with an overview of sensorless solutions in PMSM control applications whereby the focus will be on the new controller without sensors and its applications.

  • 컴퓨터의 발전에 따른 마코브체인 몬테카를로방법을 소프트웨어 신뢰확률모형에 이용하였다. 베이지안 추론에서 조건부분포를 가지고 사후분포를 결정하는데 있어서의 계산문제와 이론적인 정당성을 고려, 마코프연쇄와 메트로폴리스방법의 관계를 고찰하였으며, 특히 Mus-Okumoto와 Erlang(2)의 중첩모형에 대하여 깁스샘플링 알고리즘과 메트로폴리스 알고리즘을 활용하며 베이지안 계산과 예측 우도기준에 의 한 모형선택을 제안하고 Cox-Lewis에 의해 계시된 Thing method를 이용한 모의실험자료를 이용하여 수치적인 계산을 시행하고 그 결과가 제시되었다.

충격진동 예측방법에 관한 새로운 방법 제안 (Suggestion of New Method for the Prediction of Shock Vibration)

  • 건물해체에서 발생하는 충격진동의 예측은 구조물의 낙하높이와 중량, 즉 위치에너지가 고려되어져왔다. 본 연구에서는 충격진동의 예측방법으로써, 위치에너지 대신 낙하중량에 관한 충격량을 이용한 새로운 식을 제시하였다. 실험은 자유낙하를 통해 기존의 방법인 위치에너지와 본 연구에서 제시하는 충격량을 회귀분석 결과로 비교 분석하였다. 또한 중첩원리를 이용한 방법도, 즉 거리별 감쇠율, 높이별 자유낙하시차, 붕괴패턴에 따른 지반에 충격을 가하는 시점을 산정함으로써, 기존 건물해체 진동데이터와 동일 조건에서 비교해 보았다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서는, 기존의 충격진동을 예측하는 방법으로써 충격량과 중첩의 원리를 이용한 새로운 방법이 적용되어야 함을 제안하였다. 이러한 결과는 실제 건물해체 시 발생하는 충격진동을 기존의 방법보다 정확하게 예측할 수 있을 거라고 기대할 수 있다.

Model order reduction for Campbell diagram analysis of shaft-disc-blade system in 3D finite elements

  • This paper presents the Campbell diagram analysis of the rotordynamic system using the full order model (FOM) and the reduced order model (ROM) techniques to determine the critical speeds, identify the stability and reduce the computational time. Due to the spin-speed-dependent matrices (e.g., centrifugal stiffening matrix), several model order reduction (MOR) techniques may be considered, such as the modal superposition (MS) method and the Krylov subspace-based MOR techniques (e.g., Ritz vector (RV), quasi-static Ritz vector (QSRV), multifrequency quasi-static Ritz vector (MQSRV), multifrequency/ multi-spin-speed quasi-static Ritz vector (MMQSRV) and the combined Ritz vector & modal superposition (RV+MS) methods). The proposed MMQSRV method in this study is extended from the MQSRV method by incorporating the rotational-speed-dependent stiffness matrices into the Krylov subspace during the MOR process. Thus, the objective of this note is to respond to the question of whether to use the MS method or the Krylov subspace-based MOR technique in establishing the Campbell diagram of the shaft-disc-blade assembly systems in three-dimensional (3D) finite element analysis (FEA). The Campbell diagrams produced by the FOM and various MOR methods are presented and discussed thoroughly by computing the norm of relative errors (ER). It is found that the RV and the MS methods are dominant at low and high rotating speeds, respectively. More precisely, as the spinning velocity becomes large, the calculated ER produced by the RV method is significantly increased; in contrast, the ER produced by the MS method is smaller and more consistent. From a computational point of view, the MORs have substantially reduced the time computing considerably compared to the FOM. Additionally, the verification of the 3D FE rotordynamic model is also provided and found to be in close agreement with the existing solutions.
