This paper describes a natural frequency analysis conducted to find out a suitable working area for a spring-manipulator system generating a large vibrating force with mechanical resonance. Large force generation is one of the functions that we hope for a robot. For example, a weeding robot is required to generate a large force, because some weeds have roots spreading deeply and tightly. The spring-manipulator system has a spring element as an end-effector, so it can be in a state of resonance with the elasticity of the spring element and the inertial characteristics of the manipulator. A force generation method utilizing the mechanical resonance has potential to produce a large force that cannot be realized by a static method. A method for calculating a natural frequency of a spring-manipulator system with the generalized inertia tensor is proposed. Then the suitable working area for the spring-manipulator system is identified based on a natural frequency analysis. If a spring-manipulator system operates in the suitable working area, it can sustain mechanical resonance and generate a large vibrating force. Moreover, it is shown that adding a mass at the tip of the manipulator expands the suitable working area.

The purpose of this study is to establish the horizontal and vertical working area which is dependent on measuring value of workers, body in order to make easy and stable working environments, and then to design the size of machines, tools and instruments in production factory because of making the practical production conditions which is the most suitable to human characteristics. But there is necessity that we have to review numeric value of measurement periodically because the size of workers' body is variable according to periodic and social circumstances. The establishment of standard working area after measurement enable us to make the best working conditions and we can design standard working table, optimum size of all machines and tools in production activity. Therefore, we can also acknowledge the importance of studying on human engineering because human engineering is necessary to reduction of fatigue in working, saving workers from industrial accidents, fail-safe system, improvement of productivity with increase in efficiency and etc. Finally, this study informs us that numeric value of measurement is larger than that of Japan, but not than that of America and Germany. So we can establish standard working area which is the most suitable for Korean inherence after measurement of detailed parts for workers' body.

The ultrasonic array sensor system, consisting of one transmitter and fourreceivers instead of the traditional combination of a transmitter and a receiver is proposed in order to identify the location of objects. From the theoretical analysis and the experimental results, it is found that this new array sensor system could derive the information on the position of objects accurately, while the traditional sensor system could provide only the informatioin on the distance to objects. This sensor system is used to develop a sonar-based local mapping algorithm. The local map is used to find the existence of possible gates, through which the mobile robots can pass, and to select the suitable one in order for the robots to reach the goal safely in the presence of obstacles. The performance of the proposed local map algorithm is demonstrated experimentally in a small working area with several obstacles. It is found that the quality of the resulting local map is sufficient for the avoidance of collisions between the robots and obstacles and for the selection of the suitable gate leading to the goal. It is also shown that the global map of the working area could be obtained by integrating several local maps constructed from different locations and that it matches the actual layout of the working area well.
The purpose of this study was to provide basic data necessary for improvement by closely examining factors of having influence upon dental technicians' turnover. Questionnaire survey was conducted of 204 dental technicians who work at dental hospitals, clinics and dental laboratory rooms in Daegu area. The following conclusions were obtained. The satisfaction with job was high in job position in more than co-representative, in the whole and other task, and in less than 9 hours as for working hours. In the satisfaction with working environment, dissatisfaction was high in women, in the working career with 7~9 years, in chief level as for the job position in charge, in being responsible for porcelain in case of the duty field, and in more than 10 people as for the number of employees. The higher satisfaction with job satisfaction and working environment led to the lower turnover intention. Turnover intention was low in case of having ventilation fan & dust collector desk and in case of being well ventilated inside the workshop. As the above results, it is considered to be necessary for arranging institutional device of protecting dental technicians' health and reducing turnover through improving working environment such as forming comfortable environment of using the dust-collecting facilities and the ventilation facilities, wearing suitable individual protective gear and arranging the rest space.

This paper is to research the difference of care workers' role in Sanatorium between urban and rural areas. Interviews have been conducted with 100 care managers with structured questionnaires in community care settings. The findings of the study are as follows. In the analysis of working with carers a care manager acting as a counsellor in rural was required rather more than any other role in working with clients' carers. In working with formal and informal networks, an administrative specialist role was also important in both areas. With resource management, there were some regional variances between rural and urban. In the urban area, a care managers as a coordinator was more required than as a broker. In the rural area, a care manager as a broker, selecting service resources for elderly clients was the most suitable role. In conclusion, in general rural care managers' roles were similar to those of many core managers in urban area. Among the many possible roles of care managers that effective continuity of care is to be provided for elderly clients in community care, two have been specified as essential roles. The first is the role of care managers that provides coordination and integration of services at the clients' levels as a care manager as an implementer, a linkman, counsellor. The second is at the system level which is possible role for coordination and linkage of programs as a characteristics of care managers, task with formal & informal network, community resources, available residential & NHS resourcesw.

According to the results of analyzing the formation enterprise of beautiful public latrines, which Chungcheongnamdo is promoting, the conclusions of this study are as follows. The design for construction form should be suitable well for the surrounding environment according to the installation place of public latrines. Construction scales and sanitary appliances should be decided according to the location, use personnel, use frequency, and user type of latrines. It is not desirable to decide working expenses on the basis of pyeong irrespective of construction scale. In the purchase of building sites, because the building sites owned by the nation or the public bodies are difficult to apply the related laws, it is difficult to construct public latrines as eternal facilities. Because the building sites owned by individuals are very expensive, the execution of enterprises is difficult. Therefore, it is necessary to simplify the administrative procedures and increase the working expenses.

This study was designed to identify the relationship between the level of sense of coherence(SOC) and coping resources of nurses working in hospital. The subjects of this study were 248 nurses working at C University hospital in Seoul. The data was collected during the period from July 1. to July 14. 2001. The insruments for this study were SOC scale by Antonovsky(1987) and Coping Resources Inventory by author. The analysis of data was done by simple statistics, ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficient with SAS program. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Total mean SOC was 132.1/203.0 with a range 96.0 to 171.0. The mean score of this item was arranged according to three areas. The meaningfulness was 4.9, managability was 4.7, and comprehensibility was 4.2. 2. Total mean coping resources was 144.5/225.0 with a range 93.0 to 190.0. The highest mean score of item according to the area was social support 4.0 and the lowest mean score was self care coping 2.7. 3. A significant statistical difference between age, religion, spending money and SOC was found. 4. Significant statistical difference between age, educational level, spending money, working period and coping resources were found. 5. Coping resources by the level of SOC was high in the highest group of SOC(F=6.19, p=0.00). With respect to the area of coping resources, higher group of SOC was using much coping resources generally except area of leisure. 6. SOC was positively related to age(r=0.17), working periods(r=0.16), each SOC area, coping resources and all area of them except leisure. 7. The coping resources were positively related to age(r=0.21), working periods(r=0.21), SOC (r=0.49), each coping resources area, and each SOC area. In conclusion, we confirmed that the level of SOC of the subjects was low relatively and the high level of sense of coherence was related to the high score of coping resources. Therefore, it could also contribute to select suitable nurses in their fields. In the future, it's necessary to develop strategies improving SOC.

This paper reports on the internal flow of a centrifugal mini pump working at the low flow rate operating conditions. The RNG $\kappa-\varepsilon$ turbulence model was employed to simulate the three-dimensional turbulent flow in the pump. To examine and certify the simulation results, a transparent acrylic centrifugal mini pump model which is suitable for PIV measurement has been developed. The tongue region and the passages region between blades were investigated using PIV. In order to eliminate the effect of refraction on the area closed to the wall and increase the measurement accuracy, the fluorescent particles were scatted into the working fluid with the tracing particles. It is found from the calculation and PIV measurement results that there is a large area of recirculation flow near the tongue at low flow rate operating conditions. The computationally predicted water head using the $\kappa-\varepsilon$ turbulence model at low flow rate operating conditions are in very good agreement with the experimentally measured water head and the mean velocity distributions at investigation area obtained by PIV and calculation showed a satisfactory agreement as well. Meanwhile, the results of PIV measurements show that the flow status in one passage is different to another. And for capturing the internal flow detail information, the $\kappa-\varepsilon$ turbulence model is not very suitable.

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of recognition of home care services and to provide basic data for implementation of home care services. Data collection was carried out between December 2004 and January 2005 by surveying 88 nurses and 40 physicians working at a general hospital and 28 physicians working at different clinics in the Seoul metropolitan city area. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Home care services were recognized by $94.2\%$ of nurses, $77.5\%$ of physicians and $92.9\%$ of clinic physicians. The main sources of information for most of them were medical and nursing journals. 2. The percentages of staff regarding find home care services as necessary for the institutions were $88.6\%$ of nurses, $74.4\%$ of physicians and $57.1\%$ of clinic physicians. All of them anticipated that home care services would maintain 'continuous care' and 'long-term patient care'. 3. The percentages of staff willing to refer their patients to home care were $95.5\%$ of nurses, $100\%$ of physicians and $87.1\%$of clinic physicians. However, only $7.1\%$ of clinic physicians were willing to refer actively. 4. Most nurses and physicians replied that a majority of test-related services is suitable for home care services. However, among medication-related services, intravenous injections were not suitable for home care services. Among treatment-related services, most nurses and physicians replied that Levin tube feeding, oral and nasal suction, simple dressing, perineal care, and enema were suitable for home care services, but incision and drainage, and tracheostomy tube change were not suitable for home care services. In conclusion, for the implementation of hospital-based home care services, it is necessary to educate nurses and physicians on the present condition and precedent at other hospitals.
A sensor network which is composed of a large number of sensors that perform various sensing is applied in a variety of fields. The sensor networks can be widely used for various application area like as home automation, fire detection and security area. Development of new sensor to have appropriate functions and deployment of networks for suitable application are served actively. In this paper, we design and implement a system that monitors various factory facilities by deploying sensor network at a working place which threatens the worker's safety. A sensor node reports its sensing data like as temperature and humidity to monitor facilities to a sink node. And the server which is connect to the sink node gathers and provides information by user interface. In addition, digital data which are generated at a work place can be transferred via the sensor network to increase the efficiency of works. The proposed sensor network provides the convenience of working, since it is deployed at a garbage collection company to monitor a temperature and humidity of garbage and to transmit data about the weight of trucks which enters the company.
