A Study of the Evaluation Scale of Traffic Noise base on Sound Quality Index (음질을 기초한 교통소음의 척도화에 관한 연구)

  • This paper describes the methodology for environmental assessments of traffic noise sources. An attempt is made to establish evaluation scale relationships between noise quality Parameters and subjective degrees annoyance. Subjective experimental was conducted to determine the subjective degrees annoyance that scaling score compare with reference and varieties noise source about modified traffic noises with $40{\sim}85dB$. Also a correlation analysis between noise rating index and satisfactory percentage of the noise dose response curves varied with response was conducted. As a result of study, subjective annoyance degree has not correlation of proportional linearity to the A weight noise level, but has correlation of proportional linearity to the index composed to loudness and tonality. It is suggested to be resonable level 4.9 (equivalence about 53dB) index on the out door noise limits for traffic noise and to be 6 step scale base on the linearity for evaluation traffic noise.

  • Currently, The terrestrial MMS(Multi Mode Service) is considering to be adapted in the Korea. The objective and subjective video quality test was carried out to verify the current TV channel's video quality degradation by the MMS. In the objective assessment, MMS system showed better PSNR than current system. In the subjective assesment result, It's hard to find the perceive video quality degradation at overall assesment. Even though, The MMS's video quality will be improved at the documentary and entertainment genre. Comparing with the previous research at 2006 and 2008, It's the time to give the benefit of broadcasting technology to the people.

A Study on the Correlation between Shiphandler's Subjective Evaluation and Maneuvering Risk in Curved Narrow channel (굴곡된 수로 통항에서 조선자의 주관적 위험감지도와 조종위험도와의 상관관계에 관한 기초 연구)

  • The assesment of the safety of ship's transit in a curved narrow channel consists of the maneuvering safety determined by the chance of running aground, the maneuvering difficulty determined by ship's workload, and shiphandler's subjective evaluation. In this study to examine the correlation between shiphandler's subjective evaluation and the maneuvering risk, the real-time and full-mission shiphandling simulator in the Korea Marine Training & Research Institutes(KMTRI) was utilized. On the conning bridge of the shiphandling simulator, 50 experienced masters conducted the modeled vessel of 60,000 deadweight tonnage along the designed channel under 3 different environmental conditions. The findings were as follows : (1) The frequencies of stress levels, work difficulties, vessel controllability and overall workload of shiphandlers are similar irrespective of environmental conditions and they are able to be represented as shiphandler's subjective evaluation. (2) It s possible to assess and analyze theoretically the correlation between the shiphandler's subjective evaluation and maneuvering risk under each environmental condition by quantifying the data obtained from the test. The results are as follows : ① As the degree of maneuvering risk increases, the shiphandler's subjective evaluation increases sharply near the curvature area of the designed channel. ② In the area of the curvature of the designed channel, maneuvering risk sincreases sharply with the danger of running aground under the environmental condition of current and wind coming from the stern.

  • Sheet를 이용한 주관적 평가 방법은 자극제시 후 과거의 자극에 대한 감성을 상황을 기억하여 평가하는 것으로 자극제시 순간의 감성을 정확히 대변한다고는 보기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 디지타이저를 이용한 실시간 주관적 감성평가 시스템의 개발에 대하여 논의하였다. 본 시스템은 입력 부분, 감성평가 및 디스플레이 부분의 2부분으로 구성되어 있다. 입력 부분은 A4 size의 펜마우스 입력 방식을 가진 디지타이저를 이용하여 피험자가 직접 자신의 감성을 실시간으로 입력하게 하였고, 괘/불쾌, 긴장/이완의 2차원 감성 평가가 실시간으로 가능하도록 하였다. 감성평가 및 디스플레이부분은 1차원적인 감성 측정 결과와 2차원적인 감성 측정 결과를 모두 실시간으로 제시할 수 있도록 하였다. 특히 본 논문에서는 피험자가 편하고 쉽게 자신의 감성을 표현할 수 있는 입력 board 선택에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 피험자가 자신의 감성을 정확히 인식하였다고 가정을 하고, 여러 가지 입력 board들을 피험자에게 제시했을 때 가장 빠르고 정확하게 자신의 감성을 표현할 수 있는 입력 board를 선택하였고 향후 감성 평가 연구에 적용하고자 한다.

  • 본 연구는 자동차 시뮬레이터에서 정속(60∼80km/h)으로 2시간 도안 주행하는 동안 운전자의 주관적 피로감과 운전수행도에 대한 평가를 통하여 산소농도(18%, 21%, 30%)의 변화에 따른 운전 피로감을 평가하였다. 분석 결과 산소농도의 변화에 따른 주관적 피로감은 모든 산소 농도에서 시간이 경과함에 따라 유의하게 증가하였는데 특히 저농도의 산소일 때가 다른 산소 조건들에 비해 높았고 고농도의 산소일 때 낮았다. 또한, 브레이크 반응 시간은 고농도의 산소일 때가 저농도의 산소에 비하여 유의하게 감소하였다. 이와 같이 산소 조건에 따른 운전 피로감의 현저한 차이를 볼 수 있었다.

  • A disassembility assessment has mostly depend on the subjective decision making from the qualitative element. It is not useful in the practical assessement because it is not specified. The purpose of this paper is an assessmet based on Fuzzy-study-rule. This rule is definitely modified fromnon-fuzzy language of qualitative element. The new assessment method of design for disassembility assessment(DFDA) is practical to introduce the fuzzy number as the conversion of quantitative element from qualitative. It is appled to air-cleaner of passenger-vehicle for the usefulness.

  • Velopharyngeal incompetence(VPI) is that soft palate and muscle of posterolateral pharyngeal wall can not close velopharyngeal port properly. Thing that prior to treatment for patient with VPI is to evaluation about nasopharyngeal closing function. This data is important for making a treatment plan and assesment of treatment effect to improve nasopharyngeal closing function. There are two ways of VPI assessment. The one is subjective method by auditory finding, the other is objective method by using equipment for language test. Using only subjective way is not adequate for evaluation of VPI because of low trust, so doing both two methods simultaneously help to make a diagnosis and assessment exactly. CPAP is effective method to treat hypernasality. This new treatment technique intensify oropharyngeal muscle for nasopharyngeal closing by direct resistance training. Becase conventional treatments have limitation, so many research about treatment effectiveness of CPAP are being studied. This study aims that we compare our result from Korean VPI patients with result about treatment effect in other advanced country, to make CPAP Treatment Questionares and to find ways that improve oropharyngeal closing function an[1 maximally increase language treatment effect.

  • Cleft lip is one of the most common congenital deformities in craniofacial region. Despite the many reports on the outcome of various surgical techniques from individual medical centers, the evaluation of the outcome is based on the subjective observation because of lack of the objective evaluation system. Therefore, a new technique of objective and scientific evaluation for the nasal deformity of secondary cleft lip and nose deformity is critical to improve the management of the cleft patients including the decision of optimal age of operation and surgical technique as veil as evaluation of the outcome. In this study, a new method was proposed to evaluate the nasal deformity using nostril angle, distance, and area of patient images. The images were also evaluated by three expert plastic surgeons, and put into scale of 5 percentile. Measurement results were compared between the each category and the surgeon's evaluation, and coefficients of each category were statistically tested. As a result, The normalized overlap area of right and left nostrils and distance ratio between two centers of nostrils showed high coefficient with evaluations of plastic surgeons.
