Comparative Study on the Growth Condition of Landscape Woody Plants according to the Ground Structure - Focusing on Manseok Beach Town Complex 2, Incheon - (지반구조에 따른 수목 생육상태 비교 연구 - 인천광역시 만석비치타운 단지를 대상으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare growth condition of landscape woody plants growing on the different ground structures in apartment complex. I chose Manseok Beach Town Complex 2, in Manseok-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon which has both natural and artificial ground as a subject site. Analysis of three phases of soil showed that artificial ground had average liquid phase of 30.89%, artificial ground mounding 33.88% and natural ground 24.40%. It means that artificial ground has higher water content than natural ground despite having same earthiness. It is believed that artificial ground is not as well drained as natural ground even though it is connected to the natural ground and has a deep soil depth because of mounding. Comparative study between woody plants on natural ground and those on artificial ground demonstrated that trees on natural ground grew 40.4% compared to those on artificial ground(0.875mm more) in terms of diameter growth. Average diameter growth of trees on natural ground was 3.040mm against 2.165mm for those on artificial ground. All 19 tree species which were measured for root diameter growth showed similar or higher growth on natural ground than on artificial ground. When it comes to growth of height, arborvitae showed highest growth on natural ground, followed by Thuja occidentalis, Pinus strobus, Magnolia denudata, Diospyros kaki and Aesculus turbinata. I measured branch growth and rate of leaf adherence of Pinus strobus. Average annual rate of branch growth of woody plants on natural ground was twice as high as those on artificial ground. I could conclude that ground structure influences branch growth of Pinus strobus. Statistics analysis of tree damage demonstrated significant result, meaning that there is a difference in the average damage rate depending on structure of ground. In order to validate growth difference by planting ground, I conducted T-Test of growth of diameter, root diameter, branch and height on woody plants growing on natural and artificial ground. As a result, it is believed that there is a difference in the growth of trees depending on the ground structure. Putting all these results together demonstrates that woody plants on natural ground generally grow better than those on artificial ground, which means ground structure does have an influence on the environment of growth of trees.

Analysis of Characteristics of the Cancelled Districts of Housing Redevelopment Project - Focusing on Decision Tree Analysis - (재정비사업 해제구역 의사결정 특성 연구 - 의사결정나무기법 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to identify the characteristics of the cancelled districts of housing redevelopment and housing reconstruction project. The subject of this study is 189 project districts(121 promoted districts, 68 cancelled districts). Both 121 promoted districts and 68 cancelled districts were analyzed by Decision Tree Analysis. The first separation of the release zone influencing factors was made by the Development Actors. In other words, the most important independent variable for determining the release zone influence factor was shown to be the presence or absence of propulsion actors. Of the 89 districts without propellers, 41 were lifted and 48 were promoted, and 9 out of 100 districts with propellers were lifted and 91 were promoted. The second separation of the impact factors on the zone was then made by Land Owners, and the probability of cancellation increased if the number of landowners was less than 468 and 37 out of 62 were removed. On the other hand, four out of 27 districts with more than 468 landowners were lifted and 23 districts were promoted. The third separation was made by the Average Land Assessment, and 35 zones were lifted below the standard of KRW 269.64 million/m2 approximately KRW 8.91 million per pyeong, and two zones were lifted at higher official prices. In the second division, the number of landowners was 468 or more, and in node4, four areas were removed from areas with a public land area ratio of 29.43% or more, and no areas less were released. This study used SPSS Statistics 26 S/W for analysis.

  • The content systems of Shinjung Tongguk Yoji Sungnam(신증동국여지승람, A Korean Geography Published in Chosen Dynasty) consist of 26 items and the main subject comprises administration, military and geography, This book does not suggest a simple geography but a comprehensive bibliography as an administrative guide book of a nation or a military operation manual. In particular, this book is made much of as a more valuable material in elevating the quality of the geographic book since it contained a 'Cheyong(제영)' item and reinforced the fields of humanities which could not be found out in other geography. The verses of Cheyong are recorded in the documents in the Chungchong, Kyungsang and Chulla Provinces, and these recorded verses In the tree provinces are more than half of the whole country's. The objects of recitation in the these verses are related to such natural phenomena and historic relics as the mountains, the livers, the wails and the royal tombs.

Linguistic and Educational Factors Affecting TOEFL Scores: Focusing on Three OECD Countries in EFL contexts

  • This study aims at investigating the linguistic and educational factors affecting TOEFL scores, focusing on three OECD countries, Korea, Japan, and Finland. The data comprise document analysis on curriculums, websites, and literature. The findings reveal that the number of Korean test-takers and their TOEFL scores gradually increased year by year. Finnish test-takers consistently gained greatly high scores, and Japanese examinees showed the lowest scores. The languages Korean, Japanese, and Finnish are all far distant from English and receive little support on historical grounds from the Indo-European family tree. In Finland, however, Swedish which belongs to Indo-European languages is still used as an official language with Finnish. Korea and Finland adopt English education from Year 3 in primary school, whereas English is not an official subject in primary school at present in Japan. Finnish students are taught a foreign language in addition to English from primary school. These seem to support the result of the high TOEFL scores of Finnish test-takers. This study concludes that social context which includes linguistic and educational environments are the main factors which affect TOEFL scores.

  • Content distribution to a large number of concurrent clients stresses both server and network. While the server limitation can be circumvented by deploying server clusters, the network limitation is far less easy to cope with, due to the difficulty in measuring and balancing network load. In this paper, we use two useful network load metrics, the worst link stress (WLS) and the degree of interference (DOI), and formulate the problem as partitioning the clients into disjoint subsets subject to the server capacity constraint so that the WLS and the DOI are reduced for each session and also well balanced across the sessions. We present a network load-aware partition algorithm, which is practicable and effective in achieving the design goals. Through experiments on PlanetLab, we show that the proposed scheme has the remarkable advantages over existing schemes in reducing and balancing the network load. We expect the algorithm and performance metrics can be easily applied to various Internet applications, such as media streaming, multicast group member selection.

  • This study is to elicit the factors affected on the medical examination in the tra야tional medicine using the technical method of the decision tree and characterize the Patient subject by clustering analysis technique. And to draw results from the association analysis between the form of diseases in the re-hospitalized Patient group. The obtained results were analyzed for their effect on the hospital Profits. Thus. through application of the database marketing to the data mining technique in the tradition리 medicine, the characteristics of patient clients for the objective induction of factors affected on the hospital Fronts can be identified. Practical application of the database marketing as presented in this study will bring about a fundamental efficiency of hospital management and vitalization.

  • In the current field of Medical Informatics, the information increases, and changes fast, so we can access the various data types which are ranged from text to image type. A small number of technician digitizes these data to establish database, but it is needed a lot of money and time. Therefore digitization by many end-users confronting data and establishment of searching database is needed to manage increasing information effectively. New data and information are taken fast to provide the quality of care, diagnosis which is the basic work in the medicine. And also It is needed the medical database for purpose of private study and novice education, which is tool to make various data become knowledge. However, current medical database is used and developed only for the purpose of hospital work management. In this study, using text input, file import and object images are digitized to establish database by people who are worked at the medicine field but can not expertise to program. Data are hierarchically constructed and then knowledge is established using a tree type database establishment method. Consequently, we can get data fast and exactly through search, apply it to study as subject-oriented classification, apply it to diagnosis as time-depended reflection of data, and apply it to education and precaution through function of publishing questions and reusability of data.

Predicting Factors on Performance Confidence of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Community Members (지역사회 주민의 심폐소생술 수행 자신감 예측요인)

  • This study is a descriptive investigatory study that secondarily analyzes the community health survey in order to identify the characteristics of confidence regarding the execution of cardiopulmonary resuscitation among community members of Korea. Study subjects included 357,176 people who were aware of cardiopulmonary resuscitation based on 2014 and 2016 community health survey. The collected data were analyzed for composite sample frequency and decision-making tree using SPSS WIN 25.0 program. According to the results of this study, a confidence regarding execution of cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the community members was higher if the subject has experienced cardiopulmonary resuscitation education, trained on mannequin within the past 2 years, received cardiopulmonary resuscitation education within the past 2 years, is of male sex, and is 41.5 years of age or younger.

Impact of Routine Histopathological Examination of Gall Bladder Specimens on Early Detection of Malignancy - A Study of 4,115 Cholecystectomy Specimens

  • Gall bladder carcinoma is the most common cancer of biliary tree, characterized by rapid progression and a very high mortality rate. Detection at an early stage, however, is indicative of a very good prognosis and prolonged survival. The practice of histopathological examination of gall bladder specimens removed for clinically benign conditions and its usefulness has been a subject of controversy. The present prospective study was carried out over a period of four years in order to find out the incidence of unsuspected gallbladder carcinoma in cholecystectomy specimens received in our histopathology laboratory and to analyze their clinico-pathological features. A total of 4,115 cases were examined. Incidentally detected cases comprised 0.44%, which accounted for 72% of all gall bladder carcinomas detected. The majority were in an early, surgically resectable stage. From the results of this study we recommend that in India and other countries with relatively high incidences of gall bladder carcinoma, all cholecystectomy specimens should be submitted to histopathology laboratory, as this is the only means by which malignancies can be detected at an early, potentially curable stage.

Analysis of Passive Cooling Effect of Membrane Shading Structure and the Tree by Field Observations in the Summer (하절기 복사환경 관측을 통한 수목과 일사차폐 막 구조물의 자연냉각효과)

  • This study is about the passive cooling effects of three outdoor solar shading facilities as trees, pergola with wistaria vine and membrane shading structure, which are expected to provide cool spots in the summer. Field observations of measuring thermal environment of selected facilities is executed. Thermal environment measuring was categorized as short wave radiation, long wave radiation, net radiation, globe temperature, surface temperature measured by infrared camera. Heat transfer mechanism is analyzed with overall data from field measurement. Results from this study are as below; 1) Radiation balance measured on shaded surface under membrane shading structure was 17%($86W/m^2$) of the unshaded surface radiation balance($511W/m^2$). 2) Surface temperature comparison between vegetation and membrane of the shading structure is performed at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Surface temperature of vegetation was same as air temperature and that of membrane was $5^{\circ}C$ higher than air temperature. Vegetation transpiration is considered as the causing factor which make those differences. 3) Results from this study could be used as fundamental data for reducing heat island phenomena and continuos research on this subject would be needed.
